You have to be careful with maxindhouse , he is not a Yahweh/Elohim/YHWH worshipper.
He is a “Jehovah” worshipper, and no where in the Jewish Bible was that name ever mentioned or called, the name was created by William Tyndale, which coincidentally is a Jehovah witness also, this Jehovah witness also created the king James VERSION.
These whites and their Christianity. The Hebrews said do not make an image of the god, the whites painted him in their own melanin deficient image.
They said the gods name is Yod Hey Vav Hey, the whites came up with nonsensical Jehovah. They call it transliteration, wise people call it nonsense

No wonder Jehovah Witless tracts are filled with melanin deficient people in their white heaven.

I remember back in the day when I really became a skeptic. It was the juxtaposition of the International Space Station (ISS) and the Tower of Babel that did it. I remember just being disgusted with the absurdity of the literal interpretation of that story. Here we have the ISS in orbit around the earth but some people keep teaching that some nomads built a tower that was to reach the heavens and the god got mad and confused their language. So, he got mad at the Tower of Babel but is totally cool with the ISS? WTF kind of drunkard is this god?

After many years I discovered that the tower was probably real, wasn’t that tall, and it’s top reaching the heavens was a metaphor.

Same way I discovered who what the Virgin is, and what “original sin” is. Shit, I even discovered why Jesus was “born in a manger”and why he is the “lamb of god”.

The creators of these stories were beyond clever. Their audience might have been goat herders and farmers but the authors weren’t goat herders or farmers.

P.S. the serpent still exists, so does his seed and the seed of the woman.

Find a mirror and repeat the quoted to yourself. It explains the insensitive predictions that you made. Not reading a book from cover to cover is akin to seeing a person's monicker and assuming to know everything about them.

Yes, you do need to read a book from cover to cover to understand it. And if you had read the Bible or/and the Quran from cover to cover, you would not use the word "obeying" because you would understand instead.
How can you understand when you don’t even know what it means. So, maybe put the Bible down and go learn its language first.

You already showed me that you don’t understand anything. Genesis 3:15 was the test and you obviously don’t understand.

No, I don’t need to read it from cover to cover. I learned/I’m learning the language, enough to know that’s it’s nonsense. Clever and imaginative but nonsense nonetheless.

I understand your grievances against religion. However, I don't agree with your sentiments that because some parts have been corrupted means that the entire existence of God is also questionable. There's something I've learnt of late, that to consolidate belief, one must first unlearn everything he knows and then begin to learn again with new eyes.

I don't take everything I'm told hook line and sinker. I believe in research and currently that's what I'm doing. I'm reading both comfortable and uncomfortable truths of Christianity. It is true that the religion has been corrupted over the years due to power, greed, selfishness and many other reasons. However, I believe God is very much real and near us. If you encounter him personally, you will know it.

So I'm still reading and it's a whole lot of material. Including the religious wars, and the corrupt popes and all that dark age when Christians when underground. Especially all the deleted, hidden and other materials. If you're curious like me, I'll suggest you start reading too. Don't be lazy by watching a few documentaries and listening to people who misinterpret data to convince you there's no God.
What documentary did I cite? What makes you think I’m lazy? What misinterpreted data did I post?
Compare your post explaining the picture in the OP to what I posted prior to your explanation.
Now, what makes you think I don’t read?

You can believe God is very real and near us and if I encounter Him, I would know him personally. However, I can dismiss God with a wave of the hand because what you mean by God is an anthropomorphized supernatural entity as depicted in the OP because it’s obviously a human creation.

I’m not saying “God” exists or does not exist but that people can’t imagine something definite when it’s been described. The most people can do is to imagine a supernatural human and that’s obvious egoistical nonsense.

From another perspective it’s impossible for “God” not to exist when you realize what is meant by God. Regardless, God is an human invention meant to explain nature and foster cooperation amongst people.

Religious wars and corrupt popes but you think these people have a connection to the “divine”. Why don’t you go further back in time and discover that your stories are akin to Hollywood remakes.
Why don’t you go even further back in time and discover the foundation of it all.

I'm Catholic but I still don't feel comfortable with this logo. But I did some digging. Apparently the eye is the all seeing eye of God (Eye of Providence) and it apparently has some triangle over it that depicts trinity. I don't like symbols naturally and not even one that has been dominated by freemasonry. If the original idea of the eye logo was Christian, unfortunately it has been corrupted and I'll very much not go to that church because of the logo alone. My Catholic church doesn't have it, if they put it, I'll go to another.

If they all adopt it in all, then I'll just stay home in my usual manner. But that symbol creeps me out.

There is no original idea in Catholicism/Christianity. It’s ancient paganism in Roman robes and melanin deficient skin. Your god is not original, the trinity is not original, the cross is not original, your Jesus is not original, the last supper is not original, etc.

And how do you know?
Because I read critically and can think critically.

Hismasterpiece:
Have you been a devoted Christian before? Have you ever read the Bible from cover to cover? Have you obeyed what the Bible says?
No, I have never been devoted to ignorance. I was unfortunately brought up in the nonsense but I’m a little too incredulous to believe the fairy tale of the Hebrews is somehow different from every other culture’s tales. The god if the Hebrews isn’t more real to me than the god of the Greeks, or Igbos, or Hausas regardless if the tales are written in a book or passed on verbally.
I don’t need to read the Bible from cover to cover just like I don’t need to read the Koran from cover to cover. I know enough of what’s in both not to waste time reading the whole thing from cover to cover. Obeying the Bible is a recipe for disaster given all the nonsense it entails. Obeying the Bible is at the root of bigotry in Christian societies because there is always a passage where their god approves of whatever they are doing, good or bad.

The scriptures are allegorical and the gods are mythical.

The Bible says, 'Stop deceiving yourselves. If you think you are wise by this world’s standards, you need to become a fool to be truly wise.'
Religion is built on two principles:
1. Deceiving the vulgar
2. Cultivating ignorance

The quote above is an example of number 2. The naked appeal to ignorance and denoting reason as foolishness is the signature of the duplicitous scoundrels who wrote the words, “God said”.
I don’t need to be a fool or hold nonsense as sacred because skepticism is the beginning of wisdom.

The old white man in the sky that allegedly inspired a guy called Tommasso Parentucelli to write the following:

“We weighing all and singular the premises with due meditation, and noting that since we had formerly by other letters of ours granted among other things free and ample faculty to the aforesaid King Alfonso – to invade, search out, capture, vanquish, and subdue all Saracens and pagans whatsoever, and other enemies of Christ wheresoever placed, and the kingdoms, dukedoms, principalities, dominions, possessions, and all movable and immovable goods whatsoever held and possessed by them and to reduce their persons to perpetual slavery, and to apply and appropriate to himself and his successors the kingdoms, dukedoms, counties, principalities, dominions, possessions, and goods, and to convert them to his and their use and profit – by having secured the said faculty, the said King Alfonso, or, by his authority, the aforesaid infante, justly and lawfully has acquired and possessed, and doth possess, these islands, lands, harbors, and seas, and they do of right belong and pertain to the said King Alfonso and his successors”.

The people in the picture are the perpetual slaves in both profane and sacred terms.

The eye is the “eye of providence” or god watching over humanity. The old dude is Roman Catholicism’s conception of the Jewish deity that is not meant to be reified. The conception of the deity is as an old white man and that is the depiction in the op. God of the Christians a.k.a old white man in the sky.
