You should probably consult a professional mental health therapists for the help you seek. |

yemmit90: ✓ Regardless of what she do or say? ✓ Is pouring hot food on his face not an assault? ✓ Should he wait till she pour acid on his face before he defend himself? ✓ What righ is a woman have over a man that she must do whatever she like to him withiout being cautioned? What happens to gender equality? Pouring hot food on a person's face is physical assault. 2. Supposedly defending yourself by physically assaulting your attacker is also physical assault and, in some cases, may be condemned as unwarranted. Yes, defend yourself, but in a manner proportional to the assault you received. Better yet, avoid an encounter altogether or report the assault where possible. Slamming a man or woman to the floor and beating him/her black and blue for slapping you is a quick ticket to jail. Go ask many men wey dey in jail, and they will inform you that is how they ended up there. Excessive self-defense na real thing! 3. He could easily avoid a woman the moment he realizes he is already wading deeper into uncharted territory where his self-control can no longer be guaranteed to help him. 4. There is no need to start foaming at the mouth as these things are very easily comprehended. A woman has just about the same rights as a man in this. A man has no right to assault a woman; a woman also has no right to assault a man. In the case of self-defense, if the return attack is deemed to have been disproportionate to the initial assault, the one pleading self-defense could end up in jail. |

yemmit90: ➜Some women are brutal and sometime behave like devil, if such woman married an hot tempered man, the beating can happened. If it happened that a woman poured hot rice with stew on her husband face during an argument, and the man beat her, would her brothers still defend her in such situation? Your so-called hot-tempered man is nothing but an emotionally immature being who never truly learned how to properly manage his emotions. We all have tempers, and we are all expected to learn how to manage our tempers and emotions in such a way as not to use them as a weapon against others. When your emotionally immature man assaults a woman, regardless of who she is or what she said, his lack of basic self-control over his own emotions is to be blamed on him, not on anyone else. No amount of blame-shifting can make him any less culpable since the emotions that resulted in him assaulting her are his. Again, I reiterate, there are no good enough reasons for why a man, or policeman, or tout, should lay hands on another individual or woman out there. |

Tinubumustgo: Something like this happened in our community some years ago. The wife left the house with the brother after he and his friends beat up her husband when she reported to the brother. Two days later, the husband went to the family home and later to the igwe palace to report the matter. The matter was later settled by the igwe and the wife followed the husband back home, but........ The marriage never remain the same. Its not advisable to beat up husband with relatives in marriage See why I advocate against all of the traditional/religious nonsense that is Nigerian way of life? How can a sane person return a victim to the hands of her assailant? Will that same igwe, abi wetin una dey call am, also insist on returning his dearest daughter to a man who pummeled her in the same manner? |

yemmit90: ➜The man must have been beating his wife consistently for no solid reason, hence, her brothers retaliation. It is see finish on the side of the man, because no in-law will come to your house to beat you like a child if they don't see you as nothing through your wife action or inaction. At this point, separation is the best for this couple. There is never a good enough reason for a man to lay hands on his wife. |

lawani: ➜Is idolatry wrong? It should be illegal for anyone to be saying publicly that idolatry is bad or that God opposes it. Nobody should be allowed to be saying the almighty father God is burning idolators in hell fire. All human cultures know what God opposes and that is evil doing. Nobody needs to be taught what is evil. Religionists are just using the idolatry is bad argument to cause problems all over the world. Just like your earthly parents can not say do not greet other people, the almighty Father God too can not say do not worship lesser Gods. The religionists are just using their mentality to cause problems worldwide and it is high time the governments of the world rose to stop it. A stitch in time saves nine. Basically, freedom of speech means absolutely nothing to you? This is what you are announcing to the public? |

If you keep going around measuring your success or achievements against that of others, you are essentially digging your own grave. Go ask the many out there living anxious and depressed, suffering one heart problem or another, all because in their heads they fall short of standards set for them by society. As for expecting your children to bankroll your life in your old age, you better go ask all those aged folks out there whose children don't even call let alone send money to them. There are plenty of them in the village. Children as retirement plan never really worked out for the vast majority. No one told you this because people don't like telling each other the truth in that country. |

dollytino4real: Na money make many of us stay back in our abusive marriage!!! Especially wen u have children more than one guy is not easy to move o, God is our strength I don't agree with that assessment. Some female breadwinners remain in abusive situations as well. For instance, we should not forget Osinachi, who was the breadwinner in her home. Yet this woman remained in an abusive relationship until the end. Why? 😶😶😶 In other cases I have observed, many other women who remain in abusive situations do not necessarily get their basic needs— financial, emotional, or social — met in those marriages. These particular women always seem to appear haggard, and when confronted, they are quickest to spout religion and traditional nonsense in their defense. I particularly believe it is the brainwashing that is tradition and religion to blame for much of this problem in Africa. |

ebubeson: ➜As good Christians, it is of God we avoid all forms of sexual immorality in courtship and Marriage. This is by God's grace. Pray for God's grace in this corrupt and polluted world because the rate of sexual immorality and temptations is on the high side. As people in courtship, pray for grace not to sleep with your Fiance, Fiancee, EX, friend, bestie e.t.c Please avoid: (1) Avoid sleeping with your Fiance or Fiancee. (2) Avoid sleeping with your EX before wedding day. (3) As married persons, avoid committing adultery with others, your EX, your colleagues, childhood friend e.t.c (4) Avoid paternity fraud: bringing other children into the marriage or even having child outside. (5) Avoid other forms of sexual immorality that is not of God. May God give you grace in Jesus name. Amen. Storyland! Religious folks and obsession with sex are never-ending. Your churches are regularly filled with tales of sexual immorality; the adultery rate among the married, including your pastors, remains pretty much the same as that observed with those from other religions, as well as those who don't even believe in any god or deity. Una dey all like to preach lessons wey una no dey ever follow. What is the use of this meaningless advice that even you cannot guarantee you will follow, given your religious background? Abeg, stop creating these mindless threads! |
