PoliticsRe: Hundeyin Replies Akpabio: Authorise MTN, Airtel To Release Voice Records by kode12: 4:30pm On May 14, 2021
design106:
cool
Here's the thing. Authorizing the release of the voice notes will confirm 2 things.
1. That Network Providers actually record private call sessions between paying customers without their permission.
2. Make everyone realize that there's nothing like privacy when it comes to the network providers who we trust with our funds and data.

Maybe they're both the same thing but you get the point.
Look for the right and legal means to get your facts else you'll just be the same as the evil people who are fighting to keep this matter silenced.

Best of luck though.
Telecoms providers keep records of call log, not the actual calls. So there's a log of who initiated the call, the numbers called, the duration and location of both parties. It is technically infeasible to keep an audio record of the audio conversations of all customers. An exception to this would be where an individual was under prior investigation, hence being monitored more closely.
Akpabio or Pantami cannot simply request call records be released. It'd require a court order issued by a judge. But make no mistakes, privacy is an illusion. Nothing is private.

CelebritiesRe: Kessydriz In Tears As Governor Wike Fulfils N10m Pledge (Pix, Video) by kode12: 7:02pm On Apr 01, 2021
It still baffles me how Nigerian leaders can just unilaterally dole out cash for different non-state/public functions and service. If it's the governor's personal money that's all fine and good, but this trend of governors giving houses, lands, cash, etc to people for whatever reason is not exactly proper.

Are they certain it was a rape? The vagina was soaked in seminal fluids, but there was no bruising or bleeding.
Seems rather strange inconsistent for forced intercourse.
CrimeRe: Autopsy Shows Corper Ifeoma Abugu, Killed By Police, Was Strangulated by kode12: 1:51pm On Mar 23, 2021
Soon, very very soon, the Nigerian Police will become the prey and be hunted and gunned down like wild game. Many who have suffered personal injustices from the Police will actively seek them out to eliminate, while the vast majority of others will simply turn a blind eye in silent indifference because the Police brought this upon themselves.

The student must have a car.
Have a licence.
Have insurance.
I guess a clean license for a couple of years is required. Will the student meet up the requirements?

Uber ‘business’ is not to simply move a car.
I don't think you understand the context of the question. I think that person is asking about the legalities involved. Prior to now, the government considered Uber drivers as being self employed hence a Tier 4 student could not work as an Uber driver. Now the Supreme has ruled Uber drivers be considered as employees, not self employed. Question is does this carry over into the immigration perspective as well?
Personally i doubt the government can have double standards on the same matter but who knows.
PhonesRe: Real Reasons FG Is Replacing BVN, Others With NIN by kode12: 9:28am On Feb 11, 2021
samwillyco1:
This people are all confused set of people, upon all the problems in Nigeria, they want to replace BVN with strong security against hackers, with NIN with Zero security.

Another reason they want to replace it with NIN Is so that all their illegal transactions/looting will not be traced .
NIN and BVN are both identifying the same individual. After overlaying both data, they're in complete sync, so instead of using two data points to reference one individual making the systems more complicated they use one that's got a much larger scope. I don't see how that's a problem. NIN is already tied with BVN, new passports come with NIN as well. That's the only reasonable way forward. Besides, if BVN is secure why do you think NIN isn't?

Many universities can not believe their luck, they still managed to get foreign students to pay a lot to study online, you stay home burning bills, using your own resource, many will graduate without using the university facilities or even knowing how the university environment looks like.

Those who started last September will be graduating very soon and will probably spend half of PSW at home.
Well they've always claimed the bulk of their fees goes into paying teaching and support staff who they claim they're still paying. Coupled with the extra costs they've had to incur providing tools for these staff to work from home such as better broadband, laptops, imagine tools etc.

See accountability. All the money spent is properly accounted for. The internet age has eroded a lot of the virtues of old. Now all we wanna do is show off and live large, while being one pay cheque away from homelessness.

Please I want to get a sim. At the moment, I stay with a friend, so I have access to WiFi. Which would you advise I get? Contract orpag as you go? Please I need the cheapest rate and bundles ever. Thanks for your help.
If your friend is willing let him get a contract for you in his name, and after a few months in the country they can switch the name on the contract to yours. They'll need to do a credit check then, but hopefully you'd be able to pass checks for sim only contract.

What are these 'huge resources'' Nigeria has biko?

Ghana has under 30 million people, yet is an oil producer and exporter, is Africa's 2nd highest source of gold, and leads in cocoa production. So what is their excuse for having only 1 real airport, Mr ass kisser of foreigners who hates his own country and himself?

Look at this self hating clown drowning in inferiority complex and typing gibberish like a cursed imbec.ile.

How are Nigeria's airports '' a disgrace'' if Ghana can ''boast of'' those goat sheds?

What type of warped logic is that?

Now he's talking gibberish about ''flight delays''. Dunce. Na complex go kill una. Cursed people.
Ghana has all the natural resources yes. But can you explain how Nigeria has managed to have a higher GDP per capita since 1970 and this has not translated to a better quality of life for its people?
I refuse to stoop to your level of name calling. Argue with your facts please.
TravelRe: Ghana Airports Versus Nigeria Airports - Pictures by kode12: 11:22pm On Jan 10, 2021
You shouldn’t compare a lowly country of less than 45million people and without the kind of resources Nigeria has.
If indeed Ghana can boast of those airports you showed, then Nigeria‘s airports are still a disgrace. But then we don’t really care about structures, how functional are the airports? We’d not mind standing under a tree if flights can leave on time each time. But no. Flight delays, last minute cancellations are the hallmark of most Nigerian airlines due to irrelevant issues that shouldn’t be happening at this time in Nigeria’s history.

Bad idea, to start with..he can't work full time during term time and the company will not even take him on that.

Let him speak to the company about his situation, ask them to allow him take up the employment after graduation.

He will be breaking his student visa rule if he takes up this employment while still on student visa

I'm surprised though that the company is even willing to employ him while still on student visa..maybe he did not give the company all the info.

Let him do things the proper way to avoid regret pretty soon.
Thanks

ST 26.6. If a Student has permission and makes an application for permission to stay under the Skilled Worker route, supported by a Certificate of Sponsorship assigned by a licensed sponsor, the Student can start the employment for which the Certificate of Sponsorship was assigned, for up to 3 months prior to the course completion date, provided:
(a) the Student is studying a full-time course of study at degree level or above with a higher education provider with a track record of compliance; and
(b) the application as a Skilled Worker was made when the applicant had permission as a Student; and
(c) a decision has not been made on the Skilled Worker application, or where a decision has been made, any Administrative Review against a refusal has not been finally determined.
ST 26.7. A Student may be employed as a postgraduate doctor or dentist if they are on a recognised Foundation Programme.
ST 26.8. A Student may be self-employed, if:
(a) they have applied for permission on the Start-up route; and
(b) that application is supported by an endorsement from a Start-up route endorsing body which is a higher education provider with a track record of compliance; and
(c) the application was made when the applicant had permission as a Student; and
(d) a decision has not been made on the application, or where the application has been refused, any Administrative Review against a refusal has not been finally determined.
Thank you. Can I get the official documentation please, because this seems to follow my initial thoughts of not being able to switch visas even with a sponsor until 3months to the end of the program.
