KingAzubuike: Let them go and look for something better to do with their time and lives.
RIp Uwa, May your soul sleep peacefully.
But truth be told , most ladies exagerrate this rape of a thing. The word "rape" has been so much bastardized. Even if you pressure a girl for sex and she later agreed, na see open leg for you o, she will still say you raped her ...all because you pressurized her for it. Reasons 98% of Nigerian ladies usually say they were raped if you asked them how they lost their virginity. It's very terrible.
I was having sex with this girl sometimes last year and after the romp, she sat down for one corner and began to cry like someone that was just raped. I wasted no time in sending her away from my house before she lands me in trouble. I was shocked. This was someone that even initiated the sex.
Moreover guys also get molested, no one says anything about it. The other day, I witnessed a lady grabbing a guys privates in public and everyone was smiling and cheering the dude. Now I imagined if it was the other way round, they would have decended on him. This is neither the place nor time for this. Express your sympathy and move on. This ain't just rape now, this is murder. If it were your sister or other female relative, you wouldn't want anyone coming to rationalize or trivialize the situation, so don't do it to another. If ladies act slutty you'll call them slay queens or other derogatory names, this child went to a church which was supposed to be a safe and quiet place, to read. She was planning ahead, hoping to get ahead and prepped for resumption. It's a sad day, let us grieve for and with the family please! |

My opinion though. The generations of work their forefathers put into making America what it is today makes them equally eligible to all the rights and privileges available to anyone else in America. If it isn't given to you, you demand it, you don't cower and walk away with your tail between your legs. |

Corruptionist? if you have a modicum of common sense, send it to them to act upon, send it to Code of Conduct, send it to EFCC but to use the video as a basis for Immigration not to sanction erring staff is promoting corruption you pretend to abhor. Like I said you are not helping them by creating outrage over a behaviour immigration deems to fall short of their code of conduct.
I pray to see a time when youths can use their common sense in dealing with issues the same people who advance human rights to free the likes of Dasuki and the same fools that will complain that corruption is bad. Excuse me, are you trying to feign ignorance or you're truly ignorant about what's going on in these government agencies? There's no state that charges the amount posted online for Passports or Driver's licence and there's no way the Ogas will say they don't know about it, because the unofficial price that they collect at these offices is fixed across all states. Please stop with these silly games, you're referring folks to EFCC? Seriously? How many high profile cases, with looted public funds have they brought to book? The NIS and Nigeria in general have bigger problems to tackle than public officers having fun. They danced in their Uniforms, it's not a crime, they danced in regular clothing also, that isn't a crime either, they didn't disrespect their profession or the uniform in anyway. |

Btw, where ? I suspect his contract has ended. There are people you don't argue with on NL, most of them are moles, paid agents and hired secret agents. That's why you will see them 247 on NL arguing, fighting and insulting whoever does not support their cause. Believe me, Most of them do it against their wish but because of what they will eat. They are hired for divide and rule, confusion, tribal sentiments and so on. I pray another civil war won't start from NL. We can ask all the questions we want, but I bet you it won't bring back that child. That's why it's important we remain careful with our actions, especially when it comes to matters of the heart. Right now, that guy would wish he was rather dead than the child. Imagine asking someone to have a series of abortions, while you go home to your wife and kids. Such a pity. DeRay98: Typing like one reasoning through his anus, you're just trying Lucky Igbinedions stupidity with attempting to dethrone the Oba of Benin... It shows you don't know the meaning of "dethrone". You really believed Igbinedion or any govt have the guts to dethrone the Oba of Benin? That day, you will see and that a docile city like Benin can raise against and drive that guvnor out of the state. It would get to a point the police men will pull off their uniform and hide so as not to be lynched for trying enforce an unpopular govt order With all due respect, go to hell. |
Politics › Re: Sanusi Lamido Dethronement: Three Untouchable Kings In Nigeria by kode12: 6:23pm On Mar 10, 2020 |
Pusyiter: Bro. get the facts Lucky had never and could never even nursed the intention of removing the Oba during his tenure He only deprived the throne of their statutory financial privileges yet the throne survived until Oshhiomole came to power. The Esama (Lucky's father) tried to form royalty where the King of Zulu kingdom came to Benin, visited the Esama but did not see the Oba. Oba Erediawa suspended the Esama until he came with other royal fathers, knelt down to beg the Oba before he was forgiving. All Traditional rulers have and can be dethroned except the Oba of Benin. Even Oba Ovoramwen when he was dethroned by the British in 1897, nobody ascended the throne until he died in exile before Oba Eweka was enthroned, thereafter, Oba Akenzua. Nigeria runs a democratic government sir. No traditional ruler is above a democratically elected governor. The Constitution of Nigeria still reigns supreme. The respect they still have is due to our reverence for tradition asides that they hold only influence. Traditional stools in Nigeria have been weakened so much due to their having vested interests in politics. When you become partisan it's only expected. Royal fathers should learn to remain neutral and fight for the good of their people. |

GeneralTopic: Ever since Sanusi Lamido Sanusi was ousted as the emir of Kano, by the Kano State Government, I have been reading comments in here like...
"they can never try this with (Inserts the name of one compound chief from a remote village)"
"the government will never attempt to uninstall (inserts the name of a family chief)"
Bla Bla Bla...
See, there is Royalty and there is Royalty. There are momentous levels to this game that goes beyond our 50 kobo sentiments...
The aura and charisma a traditional stool oozes, together with its historical progression and significance is how it will be treated...
Apart from these SS3 boys below:
Ooni of Ife Oba of Benin (this particular one is nobody's mate) Sultan of Sokoto
Your traditional ruler is at the mercy of the state government. The government will install and uninstall him like a mobile app and nothing will happen... It is a very bitter pill to swallow. I know that. But let's resist the urge to argue about "realism" and "idealism" today... On this discourse, please ignore what is ideal and rather talk about what is obtainable.
Written by: Teddy Benson I like where you are coming from, but kindly note that traditional rulers can be removed by the sitting governors of their states. And as a matter of fact, when Lucky Igbinedion held office c.2005 he too nearly removed the Oba of Benin from office, due to ruckus between the Oba and Nosakhare Igbinedion. The difference was the people of Bini kingdom fought against it and the Benin traditional stool being held in such high regard he had no choice but to back down. |

The foolery you've all made of this thread is the same thing that legitimises the rascality of our elected leaders. In the face of such atrocious acts and desecration of your traditional stools, which existed long before democracy came to Africa you all stand, clapping your hands and basking in imbecilic euphoria. You may not feel personally affected today, but your inaction only fuels these brazen acts. Regardless of his past, what was Sanusi fighting against? Wasn't it the perpetual impoverishment of the ordinary man, the same man who due to his poverty sees not value in life and is willing to carry a bomb for ₦5000 or kill a fellow man in the Bush because he's challenged for herding his cattle indiscriminately. The day is coming when there'd be no where to run to in Nigeria, every man will become a threat to his fellow man. |

It's like this OP doesn't live in Nigeria or has never obtained an international passport before. If you want to get a passport, you walk into the office and pay the unofficially official amount and wait. If you're fortunate you'd get it the same day. If you fool yourself with online payment, you'll be waiting for 3months with nothing. The Immigration officials themselves sabotage the system, so suffer if you wish. |

Bros who will give you MSc computer science without a BSc in computer science or strong experience in computing? Even if you are given, you will end up struggling because of the steep learning curve. Its better to stick to those IT courses for business people instead of entering core IT. Even software engineering requires so deep understanding of development paradigms. |

oluwaseunsniper: Hmm, this is not entirely correct. Her school is right. As long as you submit an application with a CAS, it will be used at some point. It will be quite misleading to assume that once the CAS status changes to used, then a decision has been made. Quite logical and straight forward here - all things being equal - and by equal i mean, your passport document is original and your CAS was issued by the sponsor. The next other thing to worry about is your Bank statement. So if the HO send you a mail that your application is not straight forward or its taking them sometime to make a decision, 7 out of 10 times, its got to do with a check in Nigeria....your bank statement. UKVI throws up application not straight forward for any reason they feel like. Sometimes just cos they've got backlogs they can't deal with in a timely fashion or the person accessing your docs needs to push it up to a superior. Usually your CAS is issued during the application process but I don't think it's used until the HO makes a decision. And I'm saying this because the day I recieved a mail of my CAS being used was the same day a decision was made on my application. |
