chrisooblog: Semi for whatever reason just doesn't bring that ruthlessness and determination as a defender. Anytime I've seen him come up against quality control opposition attackers he struggles whether in club or national team football. Ekong too is like that sometimes. Omeruo is now too slow what do we do.
Can't we even try Aina in the CB role at least he's more composed defensively. Aina CB right? Chris am off….Pls just tell me a match Semi goofed. According to you,Semi,Omeruo and Ekong are off your radar but you watched how Bassey/Akpogunma fumbled against Guinea Bissau. |

Melvinity: Simi dey forget him self some times.. And there is always a confusion between Simi and Bassey as seen always even in the last game, between who moves first when there is a loose ball and the opposition closing down.. I observed them making this mistake twice. A good opponent would have dealt with us by that mistake Semi dey forget himself?pls how many times Semi/Bassey paired in GWG. Semi at at today is Peseiro number one CB unless he messes it up.When Akpogunma and Bassey messed up it was Semi and Omeruo to the rescued. Nigeria Afcon starting eleven without Semi or Omeruo would be difficult |

dymusty86: Get ready for goals galore this season from our players.
After carefully considered player's abilities, team play, league/competition strengths, number of competitions and AFCON.
Here is my prediction of the number of goals some of our forwards can score this season.
T. Awoniyi (Nottingham Forest) 20 Goals K. Iheanacho (Leicester City) 15 Goals U. Sadiq (Real Sociedad) 13 Goals V. Osimhen (Napoli) 40 Goals S. Chukwueze (Milan) 15 Goals A. Lokmoon (Atalanta) 15 Goals V. Boniface (Bayern Leverkusen) 30Goals T. Moffi (Nice) 18 Goals A. Adams (Montpellier). 12 Goals M. Simon (Nantes) 5Goals G. Orban (Gent). 30 Goals
NOTE: AFCON games and goals will the counted since some of the competitions will be going simultaneously with the AFCON
NOTE 2: If a player miss at least 10 matches through INJURY it make the submission invalid.
Are you ready for the EXTRAORDINAIRE HITMEN?
Let go!!!! I think Moffi,Orban and Akor are likely to achieve your targets,Awoniyi will need to put more efforts to get 20 goals.Iheanacho with games run will easily scores 15 goals.Sadiq and Chuckwueze I doubt but Lookman based on last season performance I would say yes but dicey…..Osimhen and Boniface huge tasks 40 goals and 30 goals. |

TheSuperNerd: Nigeria's League of Extraordinary Hitmen
Nigeria is truly home to a special league of players.
TheGoodJoe calls them the League of Extraordinary Hitmen.
We have them in grades from A-Class to B-Class and to C-Class Strikers/Forwards.
They are:
🥇Victor Osimhen - Undisputedly World Class.
🥈Taiwo Awoniyi - Solid PL Performer who is relentless.
🥉Victor Okoh Boniface - Bundesliga's New Menace and a potential World Class CF with well rounded qualities.
4. Gift Orban - Another potential World Beater.
5. Terem Moffi - A Big Game Striker. On his day, he is literally unstoppable.
6. Kelechi Iheanacho - A 9 and a half. Clinical finisher. Incisive final ball expert. On his day, A bonafide game changer either as a 9 or an SS.
7. Sadiq Umar - A fit Sadiq is a big kanu-esque problem.
8. Akor Adams - New boy in Ligue 1. Still on the rise but will make a name for himself surely.
9. Ebere Paul Onuachu - Turkey based now but still an assured goals getter.
10. Emmanuel Dennis - Turkey based now too but when he really gets down to it, he can be menacing.
11. Etc.... for every other rising striker option out there across Europe and beyond.
Other mentions:
- Cyriel Dessers - Josh Maja - Chuba Akpom*
E no dey finish... My boy no be PL performer alone but a potential world class striker, his performance this season will convince some who are still underrating a player that equaled Salah and Adebayor record playing for poor Nottingham….sorry doctor I wan hype my boy o…no be be small thing scoring Liverpool,Man utd,Chelsea and Arsenal and netted brace against Chelsea and Arsenal last season. I hope he scores 20 goals this season. Sincerely Peseiro would be a disgrace if he failed to win something with these wonderful strikers we have now, having Osimhen,Boniface,Orban,Awoniyi,Moffi is crazy. |

zicky: Sir I won't call it a wrong decision it was Berti vogts preference, he loves his goalkeepers tall. And I can't remember any game ejide was poor safe for one game he caught the ball and drop it inside the post which the ref disallow. I'll likened enyeama-ejide situation to Buffon and Toldo of Italy, two good keepers but one was better. Zicky baba, yes Berti preference but it was obvious Enyeama was better. My stance on Ejjde was pre 2002 WC,despite playing in grade A friendlies Enyeama came with just Kenya friendly and snatched the position from him… Ejide was not convincing during the friendlies matches and against Scotland it was obvious he was not ready, dropping the ball into his own net without any pressure. This singular act led to searching for another Keeper to deputize Ike Shorunmu and Enyeama was the luck one, just a week in camp he proved better. |

zicky: i don't think Ejide ever failed to impress. Ejide was a very good keeper just that enyeama was better. I remember the game between enyimba and etol de sahel. Later in his career one of Nigeria coaches even prefer him to enyeama. Ejide unimpressive showing in friendlies toward 2002 WC gave Enyeama invitation and he stole number two position with a friendly against Kenya….yes Berti Vogts preferred him but we all knew it was wrong decision and we saw Enyeama reclaimed his shirt and did well in 2010 and 2014 WC. |

do4luv14: But you will agree with me he had a good goalkeeper trainer then in the NT to install confidence in him,
Same can't be said for both, But what about Ezewan Sir, his situation is same as Enyeama, if we had a good trainer, am sure we won't be talking about both Okoye and Uzoho Enyeama came in when Ejide failed to impress. In fact they shared the same keeper trainer in person of Amusa Adisa my university coach….Ezenwa was getting invitations as second choice keeper in NPFL,so you can’t compare. I quite agreed with you on Alloy cuz he failed to search for talented ones and this paved way for regional league keepers in Europe. |

do4luv14: You don't get it do you??
At club level, they had a playing pattern, and they both had good defenders in front of them, But they also had a trainer, who spot lapse from the defence that can lead to goal, and training. them to be able to handle such situations,
the NT is a whole different level, they pattern of play, the defensive setup, and how the trainer Trains them to handle any situations, is different from club level,
Take Protest his Dutch club then,
and Uzoho at his current Club, they both can keep clean sheets, even for 3 straight matches, you might think it's routine saves,
lemme stop here Sir do4luv,Okoye and Uzoho are poor, nothing mor Enyeama second cap was against England in World Cup after a cap against Kenya in a friendly.Enyeama had no Africa intercontinental experience before 2002 WC. |
