yinkeys: Is Awaziem really a RB or he’s been played out of position Goals have been leaking from that end of our team in the last four to five losses.
Yes from Tunisia match till date,we have conceded five goals but I can tell you three out of five goals conceded are avoidable,Uzoho,Okoye fumbling and Ekong own goal.... Peseiro need to work on this cos such mistakes are not acceptable especially in a crucial situation like Afcon knockout stage or WC playoffs.
Karlovych: Well Peseiro didn't select the players, his appointment was done after the squad had been announced by NFF.
Some of the carpenters in the team weren't selected by him.
Yes Karl, nobody expected him to select the players cos he is new.I remember Sebastian Broderick selected Nigeria Algiers 90 squad cos Westerhoff was new but good to see guys talking about eagles playing good football against Mexico and Ecuador.....with times hope to see rising eagles under Peseiro.
COOL10: Everyone knows that Peseiro is not a grade A coach but that won't make me condemn him after his first two matches. Friendly games for that matter. One this is certain though, he's definitely a better match reader than Eguavoen. The second half performances prove this.
The first game would have been a draw if not for Ekong's own goal. We would have won the second game if we hadn't missed chance upon chance upon chance.
Cool baba, too early to compare Peseiro to any ex eagles coaches even Eguavoen....after Rohr exit,Eguavoen came in and beat Egypt in his first match and won all his three games in a group with accolades coming from all quarters even here but losing to Tunisia brought questions on his tactics and remember just a mistake from Maduka cost us so Ekong mistake against Mexico should not be an excused and "IF" we hadn't missed chances against Ecuador should not be the point....Good that some here including you see positives in Peseiro style and hope to see him doing the needful in our subsequent matches.
COOL10: Honestly speaking, the boys played well in the 2nd halves of both matches. I wasn't expecting them to beat Ecuador, I just wanted them to play well with promise and they did just that.
They'll get better with time.
Cool baba,Nigeria losing to Ecuador shows that we still have a lot to do,irrespective of players we paraded.....I remember a makeshift SE team beat France in a friendly in Paris. We can't really say much on Peseiro now but he already lost two matches as eagles gaffer, let's see what he has to offer during Afcon qualifier.....Good to see guys talking about how eagles played than talking about losing, seems there is positivity in Peseiro style of play, hope he will delivered.
I will not really talk much about the outcome of the friendlies cos we last won a friendly match in 2019 against Egypt.Peseiro should be aware that Nigerians don't joke with results, hence he need to act fast and bring the winning mentality back into the team.
AndSunGorilla: Egbon you are spot on as usual. But you suppose watch the while game o. In the first half, those guys tortured us. The coach changed his formation and moved the players around then we really got better in the 2nd half. Minus that win goal, Ekong was solid sir, vital interceptions and blocked shots.
Andsun naso Godwin Odiye scored own goal against Tunisia and denied Nigeria supposed first WC appearance.....I like Ekong as a person and really like his guts for taking that penalty against Ghana but not really my type of CB,no pressure on him so why making mistakes like own goal, remember he did similar thing against Cameroon.
Kai OFFA people...The man Kunle Adeyanju really proved that he is from OFFA town in Kwara State....Dem stubborn in that community o.... London to Lagos on Bike at his age,he tried o.
Thank you for the clips...it would be stupid for anyone to blame Uzoho for that goal....Dessers that goal a plus for him....Ekong needs to work on his awareness cos he keeps on making the same mistake.Good game for Nigeria.
Basicend: I am from Kwara State and I know Saraki is a bloody thief.
I will never support PDP, coz they are very purposeless and corrupt too.
But among the top 3 candidates ( who are also armed robbers), Saraki is the most vibrant and best choice PDP could have presented after Peter Obi.
Nigeria is not ready for freedom yet, all.
In a sane climate, people like Atiku, Tinubu should be behind bars now and boldly contesting from presidency.
Baba you better join the train....Na soso we dey complaining when we dey university. Those wey dey form activists then like Dino joined the train and he became thief...Yaya Bello joined the train now the worst governor.I sabi Smart Adeyemi when he was with NTA Ilorin talking like a decent man but today Na thief.
It's damn too painful that we are passing through this cos those who we thought we save us are in power now but messing up... imagine a Special Adviser to a governor walking without a car or house just three years ago is having a house worth 100 million naira now.I have two close pals who are commissioners now but richer than their entire communities..... This are young ones who criticised the previous administrations.
Nurudeen06: Honestly, Saraki is better than Oloriegbe .
We don't even see his face again since he won last election.
Hmmm Saraki..do Kwarans have any better politician than Saraki?what they are accusing Saraki for is what present governor is doing.... imagine all APC candidates needed to print their posters with governor photo included.
Kamelot77: Saliu is more popular, even oloriegbe know that he can't beat him even if na general election
Yes very popular cos he do give cash out but beating Oloriegbe showed that Ilorin people don't really value development....Soliu Mustapha couldn't have won Oloriegbe in a very civic place like Lagos,no matter his popularity.
ObosiLandlord: How can Oloriegbe lose this way? It seems nah the Governor deal with him.
Imagine best performing Kwara senator lost out, just cos Soliu Mustapha is a money bag who believed in dolling cash to the people, walahi poverty Na strong thing o.
Am seeing APC losing two senatorial seats in Kwara State.
BascoVanVeli: A Ghanaian took the ball away from him and left him like 30 yards behind. Even Bassey himself said he struggled and found it hard to breath.
Bassey is good but not yet convincing in eagles though he can't be rated with two caps...against Ghana he looked very shaky but am seeing him coming solid and a plus for GWG.
TFLASHOGEE: you dey mind that one even sani kaita suffered times 100 of what okoye faced after his moment of madness at the 2010 world cup make we know come talk of yakubu ayegbeni wey Dem Change his name to ayesheni ( person wey village people dey do) for people wey know understand English even kids playing street football do call their mate that miss a seater yakubu and it will continue because it has turned to norm now who is even calling okoye any particular name
Nigerians refused to forgive Siasia for not given Yekini a pass against Ivory Coast.I do not think Okoye opted out cos of critics.
andrewbaba44: Why did he bench him at the Europa league finals which is more important ,you should have asked this ?
I haven’t agree with the fact that bassey is benching him yet though
Andrew, serious Bassey is unplayable in Ranger but guess what i will pick Omeruo,Awaziem,Semi and Balogun over him in GWG.I think i need to see him in eagle CB position to be convinced coś Bassey i saw against Ghana was total different from Bassey in Ranger.
Blueelf: With all that height, it'll be a minus if he wasn't scoring headers..nothing special if you ask me
Kanu Nwankwo is tall but not efficient with his head Mutiu Adepoju is not tall but damn good with his head...scoring headers is not about height but ability.
comodo: Lool. Nope am not one. Just reverence d gods of my ancestors. The god that has been fighting our fight for ages. Once we keep our hands clean. Not the other way round. Surprisingly I was chosen to be the one in my generation. No be d one wey dey tie wrapper, dey spill chicken blood with cowry.
jihday: We needed a goal against Ghana and somehow the coach couldn’t tell the players to bombard Osimhen with crosses. Eguavoen have blood on his hands
Oga Jihday, then Osimehn should have used his head instead of bicycle kicking against Ghana or what do you think, possibly we would have had a goal....I think time to move from Ghana match and learn from it,not qualified for world cup is not the end.Yes Eguavoen should be blamed.
