Even their coach is being owned many months salary..... But he is still coaching them freely..Even qualified them for the world cup..
It's a pity that the sport sector that would have been a very good avenue for empowering youths in the country is being run by too many selfish and incompetent individuals...
Imagine NYSC budgetary allocations is more than sports, meaning government don't even really care but for some that love the games suffer for it.....see wailings after we failed to qualify for WC.

Last time out, Ladan Bosso took an all Northern team to embarrass himself. This time around, he appears to have learnt his lesson and called up players from the southern part.
But seriously, Bosso doesn't deserve 2nd or 3rd chances. He's a yesterday's man. I don't mind having a foreign coach for the U20s if we don't have capable grassroot coaches.
Kai Barry, did I hear you say foreign coach for U20,na you go give us money to pay o....even to pay super eagles coach as at when due na issue.

D difference was dey applied common sense but our coaching crew and players didn't...even if d game was extended to 300mins during d second leg,we wouldn't have scored..it was DT bad with our so called self acclaimed world class players by our ppu
Baba you and world class....sincerely we don't have one.I was then expecting Wilfred Ndidi but he need to do more.Hopefully to see Osimehn soon as world class, depends the way he carry himself on and off the fields......anytime I see Sallah and Mane,am always asking myself, why not Nigerian.

Just few days ago,I saw comparison between Drogba and Aiyegbeni and I was like what?the same Drogba became the first African inducted ino EPL Hall of Fame.

It is time to face the reality that our payers are not yet there.....it takes talent and discipline to be a world class player cos it's season in season out performance.

you all are here talking about Osimhen and the likes,

our yeye sport minister don start him nonsense again, by now we would had started preparing for the qualifiers,

Sunday Dare should let the Nff appoint whom they feel is good for the job, not telling them to go for this or that.

And when it backfire like AE own he will now come and blame Amaju lead Nff,

somebody should tell him to take time ooo
Oga do4luv,Sunday Dare was of opinion that those who applied for the job should be interviewed and the best should be picked by NFF.Appointing a coach without giving others the opportunity is not acceptable and if NFF had made up their minds on Peseiro why declared the position open.

Truly, what is Dare biz with NFF but mind you Amaju led NFF as a statutory body don't have enough money to pay the coach,so sport ministry needed to come in and only way out for NFF is to be transparent, not going through the backdoor, employ a coach on $50k monthly and expecting the sport ministry who are ready to assist in payment to keep quiet.

Rohr success in six years as eagles coach is debatable,so there is need to employ a coach who will turn Nigeria football around, not only with eagles but real football development....we should not employ a foreigner just cos we need a foreigner,a real tactical foreign coach deserve eagles.

Actually he can...Most national team basketball coaches are part time..It depends on how much the NBBF are willing to get him.... Those people aren't serious anymore..

Meanwhile, with Middleton effectively ruled out for the rest of the series, do u reckon Nwora might get some minutes for the playoff now? The review from majority of the bucks fans is that he is a good shooter but terrible at defense... Playoff is when teams activate their defense more...
The issue is can Ime Udoka work with NBBF cos am seeing him doing more in NBA than coming here tp waste his time with people who have no vision for Nigeria Basketball....check out what happened to women's team regarding ordinary allowance.

People that have football knowledge figured out Osimhen was our best player in Abuja, and we had a nonexistent midfield over two legs is the reason they are not calling for his omission
But some of you want us to believe Sadiq and Awoniyi that went MIA against a COVID ravaged Tunisian side would have done better against Ghana.

SMH
Hmm we lost against a COVID ravaged Tunisia team and Ghana team is what?a dead team that used Nigeria to revive.

I rate covid ravaged Tunisia team over Ghana team, damn too painful both teams qualified for WC.

Honestly the way some rate the likes of Awoniyi,Onuachu,Sadiq do piss me off, though Osimehn is highly rated and remain our number one but these guys deserves little respect.

What is this "technicality" you guys keep making noise about.

Which is exactly what Mourinho does with Abraham who has a strike partner who also drops deep then another player behind them then 4 MIDFIELDERS not 1 midfielder as was the case with Eguavoen's formation and tactics.
This made me to come in,talking about Tammy and Osimehn in seria A should be Mourinho tactics vs Spalleti tactics not Eguavoen who Osimehn played just two games under him.

I want to tell you that Mourinho is doing the needful to Tammy strength likewise Spalleti to Osimehn strength....the two have their uniqueness.

The point that Tammy is surrounded by players doing the needful and Osimehn is always isolated,is not the issue, more reason I asked you,has Osimehn not gotten the right coach and you said NO,he already got one right from Charleroi to Napoli but why emphasizing on Osimehn not getting the right formation.

Osimehn 12 goals this season is okay based on his appearances.Spalleti tactics was always to bring the best out of Osimehn.

Yes even in the S.E, Osimehn is always isolating when it comes to attacks build up that's why he is usually offside, he stays around the last defender or the defense line too often but in the last match against Roma he was dropping deeper than the last defender but not to midfield and was more involved in the build up and wasn't offside often...

he has found the right coaches since his move to Chaleroi,..
Sir,most Osimehn goals in GWG came from build up play, pls tell me Osimehn solo goal in eagles.

You're saying everybody played poorly so who is to blame for everybody playing poorly huh huh huh
I thought Osimehn and Tammy discourse brought up this discussion and you used Eguavoen tactical formation to support your narrative which I said it was Seria A performance.

Pls you can read back on pages after Ghana match,Eguavoen received the stick here and Osimehn was even rated best....Ikpeba criticism as a pundit on Osimehn gave people opportunities to dig more on his performance just to know may be Ikpeba was right and expectedly different views came up.

My man as at today Osimehn is our best CF so say something about his games that mighty look like criticism doesn't mean hatred but just football talk.

its the coach that creates the tactics and formation that will create chances for the strikers to score. Moses Simon missed a big chance vs Ghana in the first leg nobody is talking about Simon not scoring and not creating chances, nobody is also talking about Chukwueze, Aribo, Dennis not scoring... like Its only Osimhen that will attack, win tackles and defend...

when Liverpool, Bayern, Barcelona, Real Madrid or Man City play any of their forward players can score and assist goals even their midfielders ,

but when it comes to the S.E you want Osimhen to turn to superman...

Sadiq and Awoniyi missed clear chances.
Oga,are you not here where all condemned Simon Moses for that missed and Chuckwueze was berated here.

Awoniyi and Sadiq missed cleared chances, during afcon right, pls against which team.

How strikers do their things depends on formation and the amount of chances created for the strikers. Tammy has played more games than Osimhen and gets other players involved in attacks unlike Osimhen because Tammy has a strike partner and an attacking midfielder or false striker behind him.

I pointed it out here during afcon that we are having issues with our midfield but to my surprised, replies were Awoniyi and Sadiq are not up to the standard. The same thing repeated itself against Ghana but to my dismayed we all now realized that we are having issues with our midfield.

Honestly to see the best of Osimehn and other CFs we need to have a good midfield or else we keep on complaining.

What you're calling "running or fighting spirit/sentiments" is called " pressing " in football and that's how Nketia scored his 2 goals against Chelsea this night.

Nigeria conceded cheap goals against Tunisia and Ghana due to lack of pressing from Nigeria's midfielders and defenders..

if the Nigerian midfielders and defenders had Osimhen's pressing or "running or fighting spirit/sentiments" mentality then those cheap goals won't have been conceded.
Sir,90 mins game and single shot, defenders and midfieders to be blamed for not pressing like Osimehn

Maduka and Uzoho fumbled against Tunisia and Ghana....those goals are the worst in GWG goalkeeping history.

Did you know that in Afcon the Tunisia goal was only real direct shot in 360 minutes played by eagles, against Ghana in Abuja just a shot in 90 minutes it is a goal.

I can only blame our midfield for not creating enough chances.

What is this "technicality" you guys keep making noise about??

The only difference between Abraham and Osimhen is that Abraham drops deep and holds the ball which allows other players to run into scoring positions which leads to assists

While Osimhen doesn't drop deep and doesn't hold the ball and his usually trying to beat offside trap which means he doesn't wait for and allow other players run into scoring positions.

Abraham, Ihenacho, Awoniyi, Sadiq , Dessers, Moffi play similarly.

Give Osimhen a strike partner like Sadiq or Awoniyi or Ihenacho or Yira sor or Dessers or Moffi then put one of Ihenacho/Aribo/Iwobi/Awoniyi/Nwakwali behind them then at least 3 midfielders and you'll bring out Osimhen's performance.

Which is exactly what Mourinho does with Abraham who has a strike partner who also drops deep then another player behind them then 4 MIDFIELDERS not 1 midfielder as was the case with Eguavoen's formation and tactics.
Sir,this is not about Eguavoen formation but Osimehn and Tammy comparison in seria A and how the duo does their things.

Right now and with the competitions they qualify for, Napoli is bigger than Arsenal, Man Utd has started struggling for Champions League and Europa League positions.. S.E needs players playing in the Champions League and Europa Leagues season after season..

If Napoli guarantees European Football every season then Osimhen shouldn't move to clubs that will bench him... he already has a real platform in Napoli...

I say he only needs to improve because he is young.. left to me, he his already "there" as long as he is starting games..

if his going to change clubs then he should move to one where he will start often..
Osimehn in Manchester utd is bigger than Osimehn in Napoli no matter the situation....I thought man utd played this season champions league and Napoli Europa.

The former players are the ones disrespecting him and respect is reciprocal. it's human nature to disrespect people who disrespect you.

Disrespecting former S.E players can only affect his national team career and not his club career and that's if the NFF president allows it.

He does not have a long way to go since his already playing for a top team.

He only needs to improve on certain parts of his game.
Code man, your last paragraph summed it all

Sir,Osimehn is not yet there,Napoli is a big club in Italy and only known for signing Diego Maradona, nothing more.

I want to see Victor Osimehn in Real Madrid,Barcelona,Bayern Munich,Man utd,Arsenal,Chelsea,Man city,Liverpool, these are real clubs that can gives Osimehn real platform.

Disrespecting ex eagles,he should go and read about our own Etim Esin and Tarila Okoronwanta, also about David Ginola,Eric Cartona,Paul Gascoigne, these are players that hate criticisms, despite the talents they failed to fulfill their potentials.

Ikpeba criticism was fair enough and mind you he did not singled out Osimehn for blame against Ghana, funny enough he said this as a pundit. He should know that as a player, his performance on the field of play is subject to public scrutinies.

Okay depict this......

That's the mindset he should have and the mindset of players we need in the super eagles.
