Tammy had 6 goals and 2 assists for Chelsea in the league, Iheanacho has 4 goals and 5 assists.
My point is simple...Tammy had limited games still highest goal scorer with Chelsea and move to Roma.Iheanacho based on his good stats despite limited appearance should move.... am not comparing the duo but using Tammy situation as a reference point.

Olapade Adeniken is the correct name
He is from Ondo state.
Yes from Ondo and born in Osogbo but grew up in Kwara.

By everything he is from Kwara State and more know as Kwara boy with their family house situated in Fate-Tanke area of Ilorin.

He started very early, golden boy of Nigeria youth sport festival and the first Nigerian to break 10 seconds barrier with 9.95 secs .We looked up to him then being our area bro,his younger brother Yinka is a very close friend now a pastor.

Thanks for the correction....ADENIKAN

I believe Nigerians are good dreamers

We think systems appear out of thin air or maybe they're downloaded out of Goggle Cloud

Systems, especially working ones take sweat, tears and blood...Not to mention years

We do alot of wishes here only. Look at our ex footballers for example. Punditry is easier for them than doing the work of developing grassroot football

Before anyone asks me if that is their job. It is not their job, but perhaps what if they took it as an investment.

If money were the motivational factor alone, we'd have achieved acres of success
Yes Odun, the system is the key.We are getting it in the 80s to 90s but suddenly things turned upside down and till today we are in limbo, doing the same thing all the time with no success.

Those who managed our sports in the 80s have a very strong blue prints for grassroots development.....my secondary school handball team represented Nigeria in Finland, also selected outstanding talents in Kwara state secondary schools which i was part played football youth tournament known as Dana cup in Denmark. In the 80s secondary schools produced a lot of stars for national teams....

Olympian like former NTA sport presenter Hameed Adio,Olapade Adenakan,Ezenwas brothers,Chidi Imoh,Innocent Egbunike,Yusuf Ali,Falilat Ogunkoya,Mary Onyali are real grassroots discovery and most of them went from secondary schools to various universities in United States with NSC assistance.....Hakeem the Dream went straight from Ansaru Deen secondary school to United Stated as a basketballer.I can say much about Olapade Adenakan who was my area bro and how he started, the same thing late Sunday Bada,my mate Olympian Bisi Afolabi, these peoples started from secondary schools.

In the 80s st finbarrs produced real footballers for Nigeria national team,Stephen Keshi,Henry Nwosu,Samson Siasia but it is a pity seeing schools without sports field.

What really make it worst now,if you don't have the money you can't enroll your talented kids in football academies in Nigeria,am privy to this cos my senior bro is the Principal of Kwara football academy, meaning the real kids out there don't even have the chance to show case their skills.

I just don't know how things went berserk regarding sports development in Nigeria even in the 80s it wasn't like this...imagine secondary schools travelling out to represent Nigeria then...Oh my God,I remember when my school lost out to another school when America football was introduced newly, the school went to Canada on exhibition tour game.

My take is Iheanacho should have stayed. Iheanacho should have battled whoever led that attack.

I still wish today Iheanacho stayed. He was a real gift to our club.

Either way, he still needs to keep pushing. He has really come of age this season. I hope he made the right choices.

Even Gabriel Jesus who Guardiola prefered did not find it easy in the club.
Yes you are right cos I remember you are against his moved to Leicester.

The issue now is about his wages.

We should also keep in mind the role Patrick Vieira played for Iheanacho. I doubt a white English coach would have opted to switch Iheanacho to a striker and made him the attention of the team. Nacho also had some good fortune. Vieira and Pelegrini really assisted him too.
Honestly PEP failed Iheanacho..till now I don't know why he sold Nacho.

IF is the opportunity. Tammy had the IF, Osimhen did not have the IF.

As I said, give both their props. Do not denigrate one because the other had a better opportunity.
I rate Osimehn than Tammy but there is nothing like better opportunity. In life opportunities can come from anywhere even in the slum.

Emma Olisadebe was mere university campus footballer but under two years he landed in Europe and funny enough played for Poland team in 2002 WC

There's nothing like "less minutes or not."

If a player is brought on for 5 minutes in every game of the season, it is going to be counted to him as 38 games played.

Is it right to use those numbers to judge a player's season?
Thank you for the correction but big question Sir,why is it that a player is having 5 to 20 minutes in every game doing the needful and still find himself on the bench.

Iheanacho should move and fulfill his potential as a player, not all these sub in sub out games.

You are talking Taiwo, Kanu, Finidi George, we are talking hundreds of kids in England with golden opportunities to make it. It is not the same.
Sir,do we need to even compared UK and Nigeria talking about opportunities.

Osimehn,Nwakili,Awoniyi,Iheanacho,Ndidi,Success,Chuckwueze should thank their stars that they are able to arrive Europe early to develop their skills than languishing in a system where nobody care about grassroots development but always looking for shortcuts.

Which clubs are you talking of? Apart from Kanu, how many made a big break in a top club in Europe in their teens?

Taiye Taiwo was from U20, that is late to what we are talking of.

I am not saying they had it easy. I am not saying it was a walk in the park but I am saying their environment gives them an edge.

It is difficult for an African kid to have the kind of break Tammy Abraham had at Chelsea. Tammy was 18 years old when he had that break to play in a team like Chelsea. It takes a high degree of fortune to make it from Africa, especially Nigeria.

If Osimhen was born in London and grew through their academy system, he would have been far ahead in career goals than he has now. That is the point.

If Iheanacho did not break into our academy system based on the special talent clause, he would not have had that early break in Manchester City.

This is what these kids are born into.

Sometimes, you have to pretend to think, my good man.

Half of those 24 games were under 20 mins, yet he sits top 5 in goal contributions at Leicester.
Iheanacho just need to move to a club that would appreciate him more without that his contribution to the team would always end up in debating.

Less minutes or not he had 24 games so far and 4 goals.Yes top 5 in Leicester,Tammy was highest goal scorer with Chelsea last season despite frozen out of the team.

Iheabacho should just do the needful and move if he want to be rated like Sallah or Mane.

I repeat, the discussion is 100 goals so far. If we are talking when both players have stabilized and we want to compare them, I am all for it.

However, opportunity played a big role in the early start players like Tammy get. The point might not fly in Europe because they lack zero idea of the challenges an African football kid gets.

Look at the picture below, he could not play for Arsenal because of work permit despite his immense talent. Yaya had to go on a journey which an English kid would have walked into Arsenal.

That is a fact. Our players find it tougher in the start. So that is why Tammy leads in goals.
Sir,Taiye Taiwo,Kanu Nwankwo,Finidi George and Celestine Babayaro hit it straight landing in Europe....Tammy 100 career goals is not about being born in UK,he works for it cos we have many talented players in UK that couldn't measure up.Ademola Lookman was a mere street footballer but with hard work and dedication he is doing well now.

Sir,we have many Osimehns in Nigeria who are into yahoo yahoo and drugs in Nigeria,so we cannot say what future hold.

Osimehn had the opportunity early with Wolfsburg.I want to say he find it difficult adapting not about injury.....Osimehn games is more than goal scoring alone and Napoli spending $80m on 13 goals striker a season should tell us there is more to his game.

I agree...there are some talents in our secondary schools but I'm not sure about the age aspect. There are a lot of 18-year olds in secondary schools nowadays. I still think the government should focus more on the U15 tourney.
Yes you are right but better to pick 18 years old secondary school boy than picking 25 years old NPFL player claiming U17 or U20.At least talented 18 years old would be useful for U20.

I love the U15 tourney.

He was always outstanding and talks of the Town after every Match. Its a shame he's being neglected for Rookies by Super Eagles Handlers.
Dele lost his chance against Guinea and till today Nigeria never forgive him but funny the goal was not his fault.....He lost out and replaced by Agbim who always getting the invitation with Enyeama and Ejide during Keshi's tenure as eagles coach.

Sir.... do you know when Dele was keeping for Gambari United in a Competition at Karumo Secondary School Ilorin?

There were two other notable Keepers then, Haji Sule and Lemi. Dele was a great Keeper to be honest. Same as the 2 I mentioned.
Kai you be Ilorin man to the core....Lemi is like a junior bro cos his senior bro is a friend.

Yes Karumo competition and also Baboko field host December competition......Dele went to C&S Ilorin and played the street game with my junior bro who went to Italy with Obafemi Martins through Churchil Oliseh.

I followed Dele deeply and was part of the people who make sure he signed for defunct Kwara Star owned by tax merchant Adekanola.

So Dele Aiyenugba is still playing? ...

@39 years, playing for kwara United....his son, Daniel is currently at the U15 tourney in Ogun State.
I remember the day he was caned by his Dad for messing up in goal post in one of Kwara U13 cup competition, then he was with street club known as PACO utd.I remember the day young Dele signed for Kwara Star, his first professional club before moving to Enyimba.

Dele started very young so I wasn't surprised seeing him back in NPFL,honestly we can have true age for our under age teams.I said it here that a friend who am older than was in Nigeria U 17 camp going to Japan in 1993 with his true age,he was in SSS3 class then but later dropped for Celestine Babayaro.

NFF should go to schools and academies for real U17 boys though I really appreciate them for the national U15 tourney going on in Ogun state.

The two footed precision accuracy of Kane

The skill and dexterity of Ronaldo

The dribbling ability of Neymar.

The Brute strength and physicality of Lukaku.

Be realistic he is very good but a long way off from World class.
Sir,did you see me saying Osimehn is a world class.I said he has everything to be one if he humbled himself and see the right coach.

I see you mentioning Lionel MessI,Ronaldo,Kane,Neymar and Lukaku......sir I will pick Osimehn and Tammy Abraham over Lukaku.

I still repeat it Osimehn doesn't need to work his socks off to have all these aforementioned players abilities before he cam excel as a world class player. All he need is working more on his ability just like Yak who had over 100 EPL goals.

We need to differentiate between improving one ability and trying to have what is not in you......Osimehn already has everything to be a world class player,he just need a coach to push him to that level, nothing more.

Those peeps are bigots. They believe their region/regions is/are the only places to find talented players.

Had it been the team is filled up with the aforementioned players from those "na we get talents" region, you no go hear phem because they deserve it.
I just don't know how we missed it,tribal bigotry in football. It doesn't exist before, people don't care where you come from, what they need is good performance and see people going crazy on the street.I will never forget the jubilations after we won 1985 Kodak FIFA U17 WC.

I asked a guy who was fuming about Sadiq.I told him do you know that some Nigerians named their new babies after Kanu just cos of his exploit in Atlanta 96... a neighbor who is a yoruba named her daughter Chioma after Ajunwa heroic feet in Atlanta 96.

I never thought sports would be mixed with tribes.....some pages back on the same Bosso,I asked one who was suspicious of the team list to roll out Nigeria team of Japan 93 and do his research on the team list and feed me back but till now no response.

It was this region of a type argument in players selection that made someone to tell us that there was no south westerner in Nigeria Japan 93 squad and nobody care or even care to know cos there was total love when it comes to sports in the good old days......Big question can it happen in Nigeria of today especially in under age competition that no region would be represented without people pointing accusing fingers on the coach.

I just don't know what is really going on with us especially learned ones who should know best...Sadiq Umar voiced out about peoples sentiment regarding where he comes from, that some believed he made the team being a northerner.

I think we must stop this nonsense. We need to always supporting our coaches irrespective where they come from, truly am not really happy seeing Bosso as U20 coach but NFF said he is the best for the job, nothing more than to support the team.

Sorry to say this, how many of us are watching this guys in Nigeria league to query Ladan Bosso, more reason I do ask BascoVanVeli on Nigeria league cos he is watching the league.

***Pls if our politicians dey craze does that mean we should not get common sense. They used us to achieve their aims.Oh my God,seeing Nigeria youths spending billions of naira on data engaging themselves on tribal war just cos of these thieving politicians.
