One of the most important jobs in the world is to raise a child to become a responsible grown-up. Dear ladies there is nothing boring about being a housewife. If you made kids please be available to BE with them, wipe their nose, sing to them, read to them, kiss their boo-boos, make meals for them introduce them to the world etc etc. And if you are married to a husband BE there for them when they are back from work, etc.
Career ladies, does these makes u a housewifehuh

FamilyRe: Ladies: Can You Be A Housewife? by kok(m): 10:19pm On Jun 23, 2009
you girls seem to be narrating your ordeal here, haven spent much money and time studying in school and a guy coming in to take you in as his wife shouldnt be a drawback or wedge. The point is, you have to make it clear to yourself either to be a responsible "wife" or a "career focus lady living with a man". Being a wife doesnt actually mean staying at home 24/7, but performing your duty as wife and as a mother irrespective of your career.
Music/RadioD'bang And Durella Collabor by kok(op): 8:02pm On Jun 23, 2009
I watched Durella's music video and it reminded of D'banj's performance on stage sometime last year. These two guys seem to have a lot of similarity though different skills. talking about slangs and attitude. I imagine what it will be like if the two of them come together on a single track. I bet it would be an all time blast.
TV/MoviesRe: Can Nollywood And Bollywood Ever Work Together? by kok(m): 7:38pm On Jun 23, 2009
Why not!! The indians will jump at it. Nigeria is a big country to them irrespective of the present condition of things. These guys think of nigeria like the US.
PoliticsRe: Religious Leaders Charged To Preach Against Graft by kok(m): 7:22pm On Jun 23, 2009
Church leaders to preach against corruption! Very easy to do, but the tradition now is, do as I say and not as I do. Since Churches now recognise celebrate the "big dawgs" that are behind the corruption art, how possible is it for them to condemn it?
FamilyRe: Ladies: Can You Be A Housewife? by kok(m): 6:33pm On Jun 23, 2009
Its a thing of maturity. The woman knowing her responsibility as a wife and mother and making sure she handles it right would keep the home alive, and every other thing would be a minor issue!
FamilyRe: Ladies: Can You Be A Housewife? by kok(m): 6:13pm On Jun 23, 2009
Yes
Fhemmmy:
There is nothing wrong in a woman choosing a career over being a house wife.
There is nothing wrong either in a woman choosing to be a housewife over being a career woman.
but it has to be properly aligned and well understood. Most ladies ignore one for the other and end up creating crisis in the home.
FamilyRe: Ladies: Can You Be A Housewife? by kok(m): 5:57pm On Jun 23, 2009
To all the ladies talking careers, I hope you can bear it when we (men) allow you to your careerhuh
FamilyRe: Ladies: Can You Be A Housewife? by kok(m): 2:30pm On Jun 23, 2009
From all the comments so far, I am yet to see anyone define what it actually means to be a WIFE, before adding the House to it. I believe when a woman understands what it means to be a wife and knows her responsibility as wife, then she would be able to have a good stand with the husband when it comes to deciding on other activities.

I take a break from work when the kids are infants and toddlers but after that, its back to work.
That very possible if you are working as an entrepreneur or in conducive society where every individuals condition is considered, but not in the present day nigeria where your employer expect you to be at work by 8:30am (at most) and you leave your home as early as 5:30am to beat the ever tense traffic, then you leave the office by 4:30pm and end up in the traffic again only to get back home by 9:00pm. what time would you have to keep the homehuh

Though I dont anticipate to have a house wife but she must be in-charge of her time.

does working makes you a "real woman"? Our grand mothers were real women yet they were house wives. No doubt they worked, either going to the farm or selling petty stuffs but they were always there to keep up the home. If you ladies are saying you have to work because you have a career or you dont want to rely fully on your husband, I wonder the kind of jobs we have these day if it will allow you the time to keep your home, probably you will get a house girl who will take your position. abi!

PoliticsRe: Death Cargo! 6,000 Tonnes Of Poisonous Rice Head For Nigeria by kok(m): 3:57pm On Jun 20, 2009
lastpage:
The INSINCERITY and WICKEDNESS of these government and its penchant for "noise-making" is on display again!

Pardon me but it is STUPID to tell a thief that the Police has laid ambush for him at the end of 3rd Mainland bridge, he will simply pass other routes like the Eko Bridge or lekki-Maroko axis! shocked

Since they had this much information about the shipment, that means they know:
1. Country of origin
2. The shipping Port in Sierra leone
3. Based on the 1. & 2. above, they can easily get the conveying Ship's 'details' like destination Port in Nigeria, and all the shipping documents
4. Based on 3., they can get the name of the Nigerian Business men involved and their addresses
5. Based on 4., they can pick-up the agent of death, here in Nigeria or even in Sierra leone
6. Using the Nigerian Navy and International Maritime technology, the ship can be impounded once it enters Nigerian waters or boarded even in international waters AND SUNK IMMEDIATELY.

But as usual, our empty-headed and inept leaders, haven probably primed themselves for the "BRIBE" that would be paid on account of these noise making, are getting themselves a ready-made excuse - WE RAISED THE ALARM O!- when Nigerians start dieing of the poisonous rice!

Imagine, this breach of 'information security', coming from the National Security Organization? In other countries, they would be sacked or forced to resign.
Remember recently, about a month ago when the Metropolitan Police Commissioner in U.K "unknowingly exposed" a file for an operation they were supposed to carry out, by displaying the contents of a page of the file, clutched to his chest? He resigned the next day.
End of story

His "Nigerian version" would probably think he has earned enough credentials to become the next President of the country!, slowpoke!!

Now that everyone is aware, the ship will berth on the high seas, the business men will bring the rice in, in trickles, using small boats and other "Nigerian business men" will buy it at #3,000/bag and sell at #10,000/bag!

All "business men" will be happy and Nigerians will die or be deformed in their millions ! cry

Is this "how brilliant" our own FBI/CIA is? SHAME

Why are we Nigerians very EVIL BY NATURE?

if it is to arrest and torture innocent students and protesters or to burn, kill and rape in the Niger Delta, dem go sabi that one  shocked

Now, l hope you see why the foreign Visa offices are always jam-packed?
 grin grin

Eyin Oyinbo, e wa funmi ni Visa, Kin ma ku o, , e wa funmi ni Visa,  embarassed embarassed          -Bembe Aladisa
You 've said it all!

The truth is, the alarm is been raised because the "un-named businessmen" refused to agree to their terms, probably not agreeing to the amount they wanted as bribe. nothing more!
Anyhow sha, this is not the first time and it is not going to be the last, I can remember the killer beans era, how did that one happen, and how did it end? Anyways, I agree with Tudor,
Tudór:
Let it arrive abeg! Black man no dey die. . . . grin

If we can't afford good rice we might as well eat the poisonous one. . .

Wetin bring hater come this issue? I dey talk my mind and you dey talk rubbish!

Maybe

This is what I'm trying to point out. I'm not hating on MIKEL, but he is of no use to the team.  We have other good players to replace him.

Mikel used to be a good player but he has been converted to a defensive midfielder and too aggressive.

A player that distributes the ball around the field and takes charge of the midfield now turns to a LION that hits his opponent  grin

His Game in chelsea. KO MA BAJE!! pass the ball immediately or passes back, can't hold the ball and move forward like a real player he used to be, that sucks grin

Thou I'm a CHELSEA FAN but I don't dig MIKEL anymore,  OVER HYPED!!!
Good talk man! Mikel is more of a minus if he is played on the central forward position in the present super eagle team. He will only earn us cards instead because his style of play is so aggressive, more of defending and to a fielder.

He is a good candidate for the position atleast! If PDP are resulted to use credible candidate to ensure the party flag is still flying, then its fine. the BUT in this case is if they will keep their hands and mouth off him and allow him carry out his duties. cuz PDP been the kind of party they are (made of old crooks) will always want to have a veto power on their party candidate.
