Politics / Re: The Walls Of Benin - Mankind's Largest EVER Construction by kokosheen(m): 8:37pm On Jul 08, 2012
@cashmentor, You are right, Machiavelli wrote another 'art of war' not as popular as Sun Tzu's, but I'll read it. cheers

@PhysicsQED, whatever comments I've made is with respect to the topic, stop quoting 13th warrior to me - I know the history. You're defending moats/walls/ramparts (I don't know which one it will end up as, the way this thread is going) as being Mankind's largest ever construction (topic) and I'm correcting the OP and not spewing nonsense.
Politics / Re: The Walls Of Benin - Mankind's Largest EVER Construction by kokosheen(m): 6:14pm On Jul 08, 2012
@PhysicsQED, your username sounds smart, so I expect you to be. How come all these wonders were NEVER recorded by us blacks but through all those "by a European visitor" sightings.
you should know by now that the unit of measure in those "ol-days" are much smaller than what we use today. U're repping physics, 300 cubits used for Noah's ark is how many meters now and THAT vessel is supposed to be massive to hold 2 of every animal existing. Goes to show how everything is relative to its time. Yes, the benin wall might have been massive to the people that constructed it, but compared to the wall of China, the tin na rabbit fence na.

Also, the wall was made of clay & sticks abi? that tells so much about the type of embankment and enemies they were fighting against. That wall type is so dark ages that the British invaders would have been like LOL.

@cashmentor, what can I say, hmmmmmm, please have you ever ever ever seen the book "art of war" before I don't think so and please stop quoting what you don't know. By the way, the author is Sun Tzu. Machiavelli wrote "The Prince", nice book, go and read it.

@Kobojunkie, I tire ooooo. grin
Romance / Re: Jamaica's First Lesbian Wedding. by kokosheen(m): 1:44pm On Jul 08, 2012
OP, are u sure the wedding took place in Holland I know for sure that the "jumping the broom" picture background aint't holland oo.

Anyways, nearly everyone has a place in hell, it just depends whether your area code would be in the hotter region cos a whole lot of us are just sinners of varying degree.

Sometimes I wonder what happened to our education system! haba.

1) You are quoting from wikipedia, a good source for info., but u should know by now that its not a source of fact.... Its an open source that anyone (tom, dick&harry)can contribute to
2) How come the so called largest structure in the world is being compared to Sungbo's Eredo! Mehn, u see pyramids, stonehedge, etc and you comparing something built with mud & sticks. FYI, I have read about the benin wall and it was at most 4 feet high and didn't even go round the present benin town.
3) How can a British expedition burn down the wall! Expedition that cannot be more than a 100 men burn down Mankind's largest ever construction. Haba!!

OP, I know its good to project your town and ancestry (bla bla bla bla), but u shouldn't be quick to quote stuff that can't stand up to logic. My apologies for being too blunt, I reviewing someone's crazy CV and I tot I could take a break on NL.

Politics / Re: Supreme Court Sacks UC Rusal From ALSCON by kokosheen(m): 8:59am On Jul 07, 2012
@mai gaskiya, yorubas never voted for obj, he lost in his own ward remember.

I think you should blame all the other sections of the country that voted for someone (not sure about this based on the scale of rigging that went on ooo) whose own tribe had rejected.

Yes, obj is yoruba but was he recognized by the yoruba as their rep.? Nope. From day one, Obj has always been and will always be a tribe of his own!

Back to topic, big up to the supreme court for doing the right thing.
Computers / Re: Difference Between China HP And Original HP? by kokosheen(m): 9:37pm On Jul 05, 2012
@OP, please save your money and buy apple (Macbook pro or Air). The day u use one, u'll find it very hard to go use inferior product like HP. I've a HP laptop somewhere in my wardrobe (of all places abi?) cos I just got tired. It heats up, battery life is scrap, it hangs when playing games with heavy graphics, and the list goes on.
Get a Mac (Pro or Air), partition the darn tin and run both MAC & Windows OS on it. My take sha.
Foreign Affairs / Re: Anderson Cooper Admits That He's Gay by kokosheen(m): 6:12pm On Jul 02, 2012
Well the smoother a guy comes, the more gay he'll be.

When a guy is always! I mean always tushed up, ehn wahala dey ooo.. These days that there are too many unmarried girls/women (fine ones oo) and fine men are dropping off the radar into the gay world. I pity ooo.

No wonder Chris Okotie had to go for a divorce, he wants to pick up the shortfall dudes like Anderson Cooper are creating.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Andre Villas-Boas Set To Sign For Tottenham by kokosheen(m): 5:54pm On Jul 02, 2012
Daniel/David (wateva) Levy is so screwed up. So he thinks he has the millions to spend now abi. All Ol'harry asked for was £50m and he would get T'ham into champions league (Oops, he got it, messed up UEFA rules cost the club). Well, lets see what will happen next season na grin.
Car Talk / Re: 'Nigeria Used' And 'Registered' Cars - Any Difference? by kokosheen(m): 4:53pm On Jun 29, 2012
Well for Naija used cars, 90% of the time the suspensions and alignment are gone with engine or cooling problems while the other 10% depends on who (status oooo - CEO, multiple car owner) used it, where the person lives and works and all such not. If you know the details of the car use, you can go for one. I was lucky in 2007 when I bought a toyota avensis from a friend. The friend bought the car new and had an official car with driver he used for his daily runs. If you get an opportunity like this, please go for it, otherwise thread carefully or you might be buying junk.
Politics / Re: Police Avert Explosion At Fagge Juma'at Mosque, Kano by kokosheen(m): 3:22am On Jun 23, 2012
I didn't check the OP's link to confirm if this event actually occurred or not, but some of the assertions from different posters are quite funny. Lemme give a breakdown:
1.) Why didn't the alleged bombers do a drive-in like they are known to do? simple, anyone that leaves in an area where there's a central mosque would know that worshipers during Friday prayers pray at the entrance even to the extent of blocking the street the mosque is situated. If a bomber wants to cause maximum damage, he would know trying to do a drive-in is a strategy doomed to fail.
2.) Can a mosque have 15k capacity? Yep. We have churches (IN NIGERIA) with more than 50k, so whats the biggie.
3.) Can Boko Haram (an extremist group) bomb a mosque well, i dunno cause their motives are quite unclear. Today you hear they want to revenge their leader's death, tomorrow its the Muslims that died in north central they want to revenge and yet they started it. If tomorrow they say its because other Muslims are from different sects to their own, what can we do.
Anyways, God will judge us all. I just don't pray for war cos in present Nigerian state, possible casualties would make world war two child's play.
My take and please no abuse.
