Religion / Re: Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Says Jesus Christ Is The Ultimate Savior Before The UN by kokosheen(m): 10:28pm On Sep 26, 2012
4Forty: My question now to Moslem faithfuls is "Is this declaration by the Iranian leader not contradictory to Islamic perception of Christ? Does this declaration not debase his Prophet Mohammed? Ahmadinejad also said that Jesus is the Prince of Peace who is coming to bring eternal peace to a troubled world and usher men into eternal relationship with God. The last time I checked the dictionary meaning of the word 'Ultimate' it reads "not to be improved upon or surpassed; greatest; unsurpassed:" A 'Savior is also a defender, deliverer, hero, liberator, preserver, protector, rescuer, salvager. If Jesus is all these and a Prince of Peace according to a Moslem, who then is Prophet Mohammed? Since it takes a sacrifice to be a savior, Jesus according to Ahmadinejad actually died on the cross. Since he is coming again to save the world, Jesus actually resurrected from the dead. Men die and never resurrect. But it only takes being a Son of God to die and resurrect to ascend into heaven in a glorious body and return again to rule the world.

No its not... Muslims belief in Jesus, not as God's son but as a prophet of God. Another difference between Muslim and Christian faiths is the death of Jesus. Christians believe he died on the cross and was resurrected, while Muslims believe his prayer to God, " Luke 22:42-43: [42] "Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done." [43] An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him", was answered. He was spared (with whom? another sermon), wasn't crucified but ascended to heaven alive. Muslims also belief that the world as we know it will end one day (just like in Bible: Book of Revelations) and Jesus would lead God's people to heaven.

All what I've written is available just by you googling "Quran" and reading it... Hope it clears the confusion about Ahmadinejad's speech?
Entertainment / Re: Rapper, MI Follows Eedris abdukareem’s Foot step, Wages War Against Rick ross by kokosheen(m): 11:32pm On Sep 21, 2012
What MI wrote is a subtle call for revolution by Nigerians. He didn't criticize Rozay, he was criticizing our warped mentality. We should not bury our heads in sand and still cry foul over Rozay's video because he didn't shoot the video in Nigeristan... It was shot in Naija slums and that's where a whole lot of people live and die.

We should rather vent our anger towards the few that have strangled us to live like this, while they live otherwise. angry.

aryzgreat: i think a law should be passed against kidnaping and rape, may be death penalty, wot do u think guys?

Dude, I wonder too oo. There're darn too many women out there willing to be with guys, not to now talk of some that can be paid for.

Once convicted, rapist should have broom sticks shoved into their tools daily for like a month (reminds me of boarding school: not the raping part ooo). I'm sure they would always have added incentive not to commit the crime again once freed.

Politics / Re: JTF Destroys Illegal Refineries In Edo, But Why? by kokosheen(m): 7:10pm On Sep 07, 2012
petokey:
my guy, u are getting me wrong, what i meant was that, the criminals should be caught and stop but their handwork should not be destroyed, because the government can borrow from the local technology to assist the country's menace on refining our crude oil. Or what do u think.?

I'm not getting you wrong, I understand your anger and every sensible Nigerian needs to be angry at people at the top. The truth is that Crude Oil fractional distillation technology isn't far-fetched, so many people know about it. Like all things in Engineering, the fundamentals of Fractionation was taught in chemistry and that is what is being used by the operators of these illegal refineries (remember the Nigerian civil war, where the Biafran republic used the same idea to get petrol and the likes).

The pain I personally feel is that these bright chaps, who can translate these theories into reality, haven't enabled themselves to actually takeover the workforce of the oil & gas industry in Nigeria. If they do this, they'll learn the refined technology of the Fractionation process that would reduce the oil spills and the likes.

At the rate we are going, in 20 years, the entire ND landscape would not be able to support life on its own.
Politics / Re: Achtung!!! United States Need of Our Crude Oil Is Over !!! What Next For Us by kokosheen(m): 6:40pm On Sep 07, 2012
citizenisb: “Unconventional oils and gas are changing everything about our competitiveness in the United States,” Bill Klesse, Valero Energy Corp.’s chief executive officer, said yesterday at the Barclays CEO Energy/Power Conference in New York. “Before you know it, we’re going to have so much light, sweet crude that in the U.S. Gulf Coast we’re not going to be importing light, sweet crude, and we think that happens next year.”

Nigeria makes a load more money if it sells its crude and LNG to the far east countries. Yes, there are Shale gas & Tar Sand developments in the US which doesn't make it economically viable to sell to the US (US has started exporting liquefied gas too), but the rate of growth in China, Far eastern countries more than makes up the shortfall in US demand.

Even with additional shipping cost & voyage time, Nigeria makes 1.2 what she would make if her products are sold to the US market. Please, google "world economic outlook", BP Energy outlook 2030 & Exxon Mobil Energy outlook and see the direction Hydrocarbon energy use is headed.

This is something very childish being done by the Mod that Seun Osewa should be careful of. This thread is rubbish and shouldn't be on the front page. It does not reflect 6 years of hard work and sounds a warning bell.

Seun, I read your note to the Garri crew but looking at what your Mods are putting on the front page, those G-guys are been justified.

To me this JTF are not trying. I read this story and i became angry with them.

Am not trying to justify what the criminals are doing but the governments are talking of building new refineries so that they can stop importing refined product. The JTF are not suppose to destroy those illegal refineries, they should be developed and turn it into a legal refinery that will help our economy there by promoting our technology. Nigerians are talented, don't be suprise if they want to build a new refinery, they will import foreign contrators. They will even spend a lot of money, when we have refinery builders in Nigeria. What we are looking for in sokoto is in our shokoto. My dear nairalanders, what do u think?

Dude, if you happen to see the carnage caused by oil spill in the creeks due to these "refineries", you'll weep for unborn generations in the Niger Delta.

Yes, these guys have shown ingenuity in being able to build such crude plants but can't they take a cue from Aba boys that now have factories that deliver (some) materials that people purposely buy?

Large areas from Ondo - Delta - Rivers to Bayelsa state now show brown land profile and oil sheen on top of the water in the creeks and rivers (I have seen this myself - several times).

Please, if destroying these refineries is the only thing the government can do for now, they should carry on and stop these boys from destroying what's left of the region's fauna and vegetation.

Career / Re: Why Crucify Dangote For Providing Jobs For Unemployed Graduates. by kokosheen(m): 5:05am On Aug 04, 2012
For folks cursing Dangote, take it easy and take this reasoning:

If you have someone that has been unemployed (2 years+) working as a truck driver earning 400k+ a month, he earns hard cash, he learn different routes in Nigeria and gets 1 particular skill of being able to diagnose and carry out simple repairs on diesel engines (the same engine concept you see in industrial generators and the like). If he knows what he wants, he can take all these after 2+ years to work as distributor to an FMCG company or set up his own haulage business (after saving his salary as capital) or start up a truck repair company somewhere along the haulage route or set up a diesel generator repair & coupling company.

As in, the opportunities are limitless!!!!! I'm doing ok right now but I tell you, if I had this opportunity come my way 7 years ago, I would have jumped on it (Darn!!! I worked for 20k a month for nearly a year after graduating with 2.1 in engineering).

My take sha.

This is easy.

Marshall Bruce Mathers III it is. He's always on point. Can rhyme fast or slow, his lyrics wicked and makes sense. you could write a book with his lyrics and it would become a best seller.

For Wayne, I get tired of his lyrics jumping up and down. You need a street dictionary to understand what message he's really passing. BUT, I respect his delivery. Even though the lyrics are jumbled up, his songs always make my head nod (shebi na music).

They're both great rappers but come rain or shine, if you put both of them on the same track, Eminem would always kill Lil' Wayne.

D'Tigers players are not amateurs, a few of them have played in two to three NBA teams. Unfortunately for us we played against the best the NBA could offer.

Ike Diogu has played in 7 NBA teams shocked

I'm not feeling bad for our guys, they played well but the US players were just on point!!!

OP, this is bad.

You picked up this write-up from the Bishop Oyedepo thread in a bid to confuse people. The person that made the original post wasn't even sure whether to call it fable or satire.

We all should take it easy in this bid to dominate, whether religiously, materialistically or tribally. The link you've put up is to a blog (anyone can write anything on a blog) and its even stated that the write-up is a satire.
