You're correct, it used to be that shows go on 3 - 4 months break between seasons but now, everyone is running the 8 - 13 episodes format, which makes the break 8 - 9 months. I guess it’s because of the calibre of A-list actors and directors now doing TV series. There's better acting, directing and the special effects is off the hook (e.g. GoT).

If you have the time, go watch Penny Dreadful (Tight - Eva green, Josh Hartnett, Timothy Dalton, etc.). Its 8 episodes for season one but has everything, Vamps, werewolves, demons & exorcism etc.

If you watched the video properly, you would have seen that Buhari's vehicle stopped a distance away from the bomb explosion (about 200 - 300 yards I reckon) and he wouldn't have just stepped out of the vehicle except if his security team had not scanned and ensured there were no further threats.

Don't forget that he mentioned the vehicle chased them for awhile and only closed the distance to detonate the bomb due to traffic which might not have been planned. For his security to have noticed this vehicle, they would have noticed if there were others making the same driving manoeuvres to catch up with them.
