4sis: Good day house. I do huzl in Katangua by collecting cloths from friends, sell, remove my profit and give them back their own money. Sometimes, I also rid keke marwa when another friend give me to handle for some hours .
Now I wish to start my own used cloth business rather than running around selling for my guys. And I can see that the SUREST way for me to raise a capital for that is through operating keke cos I recognise the biz for money raising. But I was told that hire-puchase plan is N550k which scared me off, cos completing the payment of that amout before pursuing my own capital will take a lenght of time.
Please I need somebody who can help me with the purchase of one keke on a loan level with interest and I will pay back weekly within 4 months. Am not asking for cash but a purchased keke and I pay with the interest on it.
With keke, I trust to raise cash and be in business before this year end.

Thanks in advance

PoliticsRe: Which City In Nigeria Is The Most Cosmopolitan? by kolexy(m): 11:01pm On May 05, 2013
seunfly: I don't think u should base ur judgment on cheating in market cos of Language barrier, i think average Hausa marketers is little more honest in trading his wares than average southerners generally due to what they term over smartness.
However city being cosmopolitan can be determined by
1) Style of living.
2) Blends of rich cultures from diffrent ethnic groups.
3) How independent peaple can express their selves without any cultural, tribal, religious and social hindrance.
4) Financial potency of such city.
5)population of such city.
If u put all this together i will like to rank it in this other:
1) Lagos
2) Abuja
3) pourtharcourt
this are the cities that u will believe to be more cosmopolitan in nature. U can speak any language and the next person u sit with in a bus will reply u back, u can walk out of ur house and find Calabar kitchen opposite ur house.
Uchena and kunle will be sharing shop and hausa, yoruba or igbo man may be ur cab driver.
may be Kano, kaduna should have been on the list but nowadays peaple have reduced the way dy express them selve due to violence.
I think enugu and owerri are calm and beautifull cities but i doubt ur cab driver can be hausa or yoruba man. Ibadan, markudi, jos, yola, calabar and akure are big cities but i doubt ur next flat mate can understand ur language.

My Question now is which of these locations should I choose considering the security challenges in these locations. Which is beta ?
Turai Floors Patience In Nigeria’s Battle Of First Ladies

Nigeria’s former First Lady, Hajia Turai Yar’Adua on Thursday floored incumbent First Lady Patience Goodluck Jonathan as Justice Peter Affren of the Abuja High Court set aside the purported revocation by the FCT administration of a land measuring about 1.84 hectares allocated to Turai’s non governmental organization, Women and Youth Empowerment Foundation, WAYEF.

The court held that the claims by the FCT Minister that the land was revoked on an overriding public interest was not supported by any shred of evidence before the court. It further held that the initial letter of offer issued Turai’s organization by the Minister remains valid and subsisting.

“The defendants failed woefully to adduce any shred of evidence before this court to support their claims that the allocation of the land was revoked on overriding public interest. There is no overriding public interest in this issue. The allocation made to the plaintiff who is a vocational training centre was in public interest and in line with section 28 (1) of Land Use Act”

Patience Jonathan and Turai Yar’Adua

Turai Yar’Adua

Patience Jonathan: loses land battle
The court faulted the FCT Minister’s exercise of his powers in revoking the plot of land allocated to Turai’s organization, noting that the exercise of that power to revoke allocation of land must come within the confines of the law.

Delivery of the court’s judgment was adjourned by the court several times to enable Mrs. Jonathan and Hajia Turai Yar’Adua reach a negotiated settlement but all to no avail.

The disputed land, plot no. 1347 Cadastral Zone AOO, Central Business District, Abuja, FCT, was initially allocated to Women and Youth Empowerment Foundation, WAYEF, while Mrs. Yar’adua was First Lady, but the FCT Minister, Mr. Bala Mohammed, revoked the allocation for what he described as “overriding public interest” and re-allocated it to Mrs.

Jonathan for the building of African First Lady Peace Mission Headquarters on 2nd of November, 2011.

Mrs. Yar’Adua complained that the land allocated to WAYEF on 19 February 2010 was being trespassed upon by Mrs. Jonathan and got a court order dated in 2012 restraining the First Lady from affecting WAYEF title and interest over the land.
Those joined as co-defendants in the suit are the FCT Minister, the Abuja Geographic Information System, AGIS and the Attorney General of the Federation, AGF.

Turai, on behalf of her organisation, WAYEF, is asking for N1.5 billion as general damages, N100 Million as exemplary damages, N100 Million as aggravated damages in addition to N261 Million already paid for Certificate of Occupancy as well as N454 Million paid for building designs.

WAYEF’s lawyer, Mr. Adamu Ahmed Ibrahim, observed that while it appears that the Ministry of Justice may be interested and committed to a settlement, their terms and what they offer says otherwise.

According to the lawyer, the land being offered by the FCTA was a much smaller parcel of land than the one purportedly acquired from WAYEF for Mrs. Jonathan.

As part of the moves to get a negotiated settlement, the Federal Capital Territory Administration had offered WAYEF Plot. 1838 Cadastral Zone AOO Abuja measuring 6119.29 square meters as replacement plot. While another plot 1839 was also proposed to be in favour of the African First Lady Mission, measuring 6100.51 square meters

The said Plot nos 1838 and 1839 are subdivided from plot 700 CBD Cadastral Zone AOO, Abuja.

The court however did not grant Turai’s demand for monetary damages.

Head of the legal unit of the FCT Administration, Mrs. Ima Akpongete, while reacting to the decision of the court indicated that the FCT will appeal the decision and argued that the minister exercised the power of his office accordingly in revoking the allocation and reallocating it to First Lady’s Peace Mission.

So to Dele Momodu, Senator Bola Tinubu is "our own" while president Jonathan is their own?

This is the same thing I observed with Kayode, one of the presenters of Sunrise, a programme on Channelstv which airs on Saturday morning. He discusses everything related to GEJ with so much cynicism and pessimism. But when it comes to Fashola, you'll hear patronising phrases like "our own dear governor Fashola". What is eating these few Yoruba bigots up?
And you think Dele Momodu is Yoruba?

maasoap: Now this is a Fulani's settlement that was razed with 27 Fulanis killed and perhaps mostly women and children, and we won't hear cries. But when they sneak in tomorrow night to avenge the death of their people, noise makers will remember to start crying blue murder. I also read the "perfect" excuse given above for killing 27 of them right in their settlement and yet nobody killed in the "ambush".
Please read the report again.

MacLovington: Why do we find it so hard to just simply support our own??

Some are claiming that it's a Nissan or Toyota engine in it, why are people so pessimistic?

My only grouse with Innoson is that I have never come across anywhere you can see their prices or interior or any proper marketing.

Take Nairaland for example. A large number of people who visit Nairaland have a decent purchasing power, both home and abroad. Are we not worth targeting as potential customers?

Innoson should take a leaf from Tata motors. Make it possible for 50% of Nigerians to own a small car ($3000-5000) and Innoson will become a household name.
Best comment so far. I don't understand why he is atrting with SUVs. I expect him to start with small cars that most middle class nigerians can afford, b4 venturing into luxury cars.
Did you know Fashola, FAyemi and Ajimobi before they became governor? Did they win because they had a name politically or because Tinubu used his influence? Pls don't mention Oshiomole again because he won his first term on the platform of Labour party and he won because he was Osho baba and not because of his party.[/quot

Wrong, wrong, wrong! Oshiomole first came out under Labour party, but he never contested under Labour party. He contested under the defunct AC. Please check your facts.

Afam4eva:
Let me engage you guys...

Apart from Oshiomole, the governors in ACN were relative nonentities before they emerged as the governor of their respective states. Most of had little or not political clout before been picked by Tinubu to tule their states, so they owe him that much. Let Tinubu try and field a popular candidate like Jimi Agbaje and see what happens to his relevance. The only way Tinubu can remain relevant is to field people with no political relevance and make them indebted to him.
Are you this ignorant, or ur just shying from the truth. Kayode Fayemi was a popular pro-democracy activist. He was the coordinator of Radio Kudirat.¥ Ajumobi was CEO of Conoil, and later a Senator. Amosun is a Fellow of Ican FCA and a former senator. He was the 1 who introduced Gbenga Daniel top Obasanjo. The only person Tinubu made is Rauf Aregbesola of Osun.
PoliticsRe: How Did Tinubu Become So Powerful? by kolexy(m): 10:32pm On Apr 02, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: Tinubu appears "powerful" only in certain people's imagination. He's only enjoying the status of being the ONLY former governor in ACN at the moment. When more former governors emerge and as new generation of ACN governors emerge in ACN, Tinubu's imaginary powers will fade away.

However, one thing is not in doubt. Tinubu has used his position as the face of the opposition to build an empire of wealth for HIMSELF, perhaps in anticipation of when his political influence will wane.

OBJ lost out in his battle with Tinubu for the soul of southwest because OBJ was too silly that he NEVER reckoned with PERFORMANCE as a parameter for choosing his foot solders and putting people in positions of authority. While OBJ was using federal might to put people in positions of authority, the only parameter that was on his mind was loyalty. On the other hand, Tinubu was wise enough to consider both loyalty and PERFORMANCE. That made all the difference.
Are you a teenager? What happened to the former AD governors? Otunba Niyi Adebayo of Ekiti, Bisi Akande of Osun and Segun Osoba of Ogun. Tinubu is dangerously generous, streetwise and is a master strategist. These are important ingredients to succeed in politics.
