There is a role and a best fit for the role. If you find yourself in a role you do not have the experience to fulfill you'd almost pass out cos of stress as it may be quite overwhelming. It is believed that the experience on the job for that length of time would have equipped the person with prerequisite knowledge development and know how to deliver. It isn't in any way meant to slight anyone.

It's not only adverts mister. Adverts are part of the package. Your pushing bulk sms I see but only that is not the solution the OP seeks I'm sure.

1. Identify you competitors. Other guest houses in your vicinity. Study them. Why will customers go to them rather than you. Is it quality of service or pricing. What there strength and weaknesses.
2. What is your customers perceived value. What are the things the customers that are available to you want. What is most important to them when they need a guest house at your area.
3. What are the strengths as per your guest house in relation to your top two competitors. What are your weaknesses. What are your resources capabilities. By resources.... Your human, capital, goodwill, structural, network resources compared to your main two competitors.
4. As you take time to ans these questions by actually thinking and writing them down begin to find a way to enhance or develop your weaknesses while exploiting the weaknesses of your competitors to gain competitive advantage.
5. Have you profiled your customers. Is there a segment in the market that you can target and hold. An example of this could be individuals that need a discrete environment to stay. I know cultural tendencies may support that in that area. Have you thought of creating loyal customer base from that segment. Have you thought of also be coming different from your competitors by making your guest house solely for the young. Game and sport based.
5. What is your unique value proposition. What is it that I'll be looking forward to when I have to come to your end. Is it a good price or a complementary break fast or chilled drinks.
6. What are you communicating to the market. Do you even communicate.. Advertise. Not necessarily big budget type. But are you communicating at all. Does the market know you exist as a choice.

Fair enough. But I'd like to see those numbers and how they pan out. When do you think the ROI of 50% can be achieved. Can this model survive the dynamics of low barrier for new entrants.

Is it possible to have a cash flow budget for this project. It's always a thin line trying to do a skill acquisition thing and do cut throat pure line business strategies. I read the part about volunteers don't know how that will work. The ROI also seems low. Too many committes too. Is a cooperative or limited liability set up. So many questions.

There's is need to constantly understand the changing needs of customers. Customers don't trust unconditionally. They will look for who delivers the value they want at best price and highest quality.
You must study your competitors to know their weaknesses which you can exploit to gain market share.
What value are your customers seeking? To these you must realign your people process price place product/service and make a unique value proposition that answers this question.

I'm sure you also know that as your 'assistant' begins to age and loose agility one of the rest may try to take over singularly or team up with another pack member to carry out the coup. Believe me when I say this. It's about 23.5 hours per day in my area. Only spanner in the wheel is when it's about to rain. It goes off but comes back on when the rain is done. Sometimes the power can stay on for a four day stretch with only a 5 minute down time.

I also found it interesting that the minister pointed at the sovereign wealth fund as one the funds left behind by gej administration. Everyone forgot that when the distinguished senator called back you could sence his eagerness to be out on air. After being told he was on air and the back and forth of being informed prior to being put on air he now went totally off course by talking about pdp... Apc leadership bla Bla Bla which had no bearing on case at hand. He was uncouth. Basic phone courtesy was on leave on the senators part. He actually said 'shut up. On another note the case of the Sea Wolfe staff is dead on arrival. Their case should be with Sea Wolfe and not AMCON. Sea Wolfe is or was their employer and not the later. AMCON just took procession of the rig so they can recoup the loan. Although I do not know if this is what was put out as collateral for the loan. I would have also thought AMCON will allow the company run and find a way of receiving all income and release what it needs for operations as the staff who could still hold down their jobs while this arrangement is enforced have become collateral damage. Not sure if Sea Wolfe has gone into a receivership or not opens up other questions.
