It can be a bit puzzling to find higher institutions who teach you and churn out the Human resources of the nation lacking the know how and maybe resources to practice the professions they teach. This particular case is even more alarming as its a university teaching hospital.

That's part of what I'm saying. Gtb was not meant to have such wide branch network. However the cbn rule that made account opening requirements a flat bed across all banks attracted a customer base gtb would not have considered. However people got drawn to gtb cos of an expected excellent customer experience which had filled the air. Now they can't cope with the crowd.

I had the opportunity to learn a thing or two about what some banks are going through. I'd concentrate in gtb since that's the one in focus.
Gtb and a few banks had set out with a strategy to focus their business on high networth individuals and corporate bodies. This strategy, differentiated, is meant to deliver high end timely quality experience to this customer band. So you'd notice they had small buildings, tiny banking halls compared to some others like Union, first etc. This was for few high networth customers. Unfortunately the Sanusi cbn Era quashed what you may call discriminatory account opening criteria which some banks had defined to attract only that market segment. So with 5k anyone, absolutely any one could open an account with any bank. This could not happen with some banks which included gtb.
So it is a case of all banks now chasing same types of customers unlike before and thus their strategic outlay was disrupted, quality of service tainted and they currently don't have an answer for it yet.

The poster above me if I get him or her right tried to say some interesting things. However I noticed it is still a pup at just four and half months. It is possible that a new experience caused this since like you said it had always been a jolly good fellow. It is also possible a family member abused it. Like the poster above I mentioned said you may need to help it regain it's confidence very gradually. Remember it's still a pup. Along the line you may discover what who or where brought on the fear factor, if I may call it that.

How old is the dog? What was it's temperament like before this change? Did you take it to a very new experience, place, sound etc. Is there a member of the family that it's fond of that's no longer around. Did you or any one in family physically abuse or verbally attack another person in its presence? Was it also physically or emotionally abused? Did it loose it's position in the pack as in a new pet or even any present pet move up above its place in hierarchy? Do you know a rule in the pack that it might have broken like stealing of food or messing up an area or just picking the tissue role messing up the convenience area. And is now scared you'd find out.
Just a few questions to ponder on. Urinating under tension could be medical or emotional. This sounds more of tension than medical even though I don't know how to confirm the medical side.

On a recent visit to Lagos I was heading to the airport from ikoyi with a driver and colleague. Just before adeniji Adele bridge I heard a bust tire sound. We all alighted so the tyre could be changed and within a few minutes a languid lad walked from across the multi Lane road. I stood by as the driver rebuffed his so called intent to help. Within a few minutes they had become two. The second must have had one of his eyes popped as he was blind in that eye. He was now more daring and was saying they must be 'settled' as we were in their area. He made a call on his phone and I could decipher him telling who ever it was that there's a big man around. I looked up and saw two more making their way towards us.
I noticed our driver whisper to my colleague and then signaled me to follow him. In quick step he was off across the road, I followed in tow trying to match his pace. He looked back and raised his voice at me to catch up with him. Since I know he could only do that if he was insane I ran after him. One of guys trailed us as we meandered through a plank bridge to emerge within an estate. I heard it's called jakande.
Apparently he had asked the colleague to walk up to the police check point under the bridge who confirmed they, the policemen, agreed to stand guard while the tyre change takes place. But for a fee.
I was advised to take a taxi to a hotel and wait while they sort it out. I gave the driver 7k as he might need it for the 'guard fee'. I went to a hotel on the mainland and let them know my location. They joined me after over an hour. The police stood guard. The tyre was changed. They collected their fee while the hoodlums crossed to the other side trying to stone the party.
I only imagine a female, alone in that situation when it had become dark. Meanwhile the policemen where in sight and just out of hearing range. I'm sure they could make out the scenario but just watched rather. SMH.

In my younger days of yore as a fresh graduate at a consultancy firm, the OP reminds me of myself. One day I was so broke I didn't know who to turn to. Further more OP you could consider a cheap but deliberate CSR... Corporate social responsibility actions. It maybe to get your staff to clean up the street where you're located. Or a major adjourning Street. Of course you'd let everyone one know it xyz great house doing it.
What are your add ons. Complementing services. Discount weekend bonanza etc.
My job takes around quite a bit and you'd be shocked I know exactly where to stay in any town in approximately 20 States in Nigeria depending on my itinerary in that city or town. On a visit to Lagos that allows me a weekend I have a lovely hide out in lekki with a pool and the beach at proximity. While if I have long days I will choose another location that will make me avoid the mad annoying traffic in Lagos. So why will I or any one choose to come to your guest house. You must give me a value that your competitors can not easily imitate or your delivering it on another level.
Are your staff well trained. Are they into this annoying habit of hotel staff that never have change or you'd have to beg to get your change back. Are your security guys demanding tips from your guests. Are your staff doing their job with a smile as this friendly attitude alone can make a big mark on your revenue. What is the culture of your guest house. Is there a 60 second rule to power changes. Does your cable subscription expire to which you start apologizing to guests to bear with you. Are your rooms sparkling clean. White sheets. regularly changed blankets or do guests stumble into used condoms once in a while etc.
Are your plumbing systems tight. You'd be shocked how a dripping sink kept me awake one night and of course the management didn't like what I had to say that night. Do your toilets flush perfectly. Are your insect nets intact and clean. Are your curtains so dusty on opening that a gush of wind would send an asthma patient to an emergency ward.
