AgricultureRe: He Left Ghana To Establish A Multi-million Farm In Nigeria (Video) by Konquest: 11:24am On Feb 15, 2025
Warmaterial:
Ghana has the best fertile land in west Africa, anything you plant there grows faster as if they pour bags of fertilizer on it. When I was there it always surprised me, be it casava, yam, corn or groundnut. So I must say I'm surprised that they guy left Ghana to Nigeria for agricultural business, he should no that Nigeria don't have security, anything can happen to his farm, is a pity. Unlike Nigeria, Ghana one of the most peaceful country ever.
As long as you have a good source of water supply from boreholes or a nearby irrigated river source on your farms in Ghana. The fertile land mass flowing from Ghana right across the border into Cote d'Ivoire affirms the true place of both neighboring countries as the biggest cocoa producers on Earth.

Coincidentally I also pisted about him ensuring he does a comprehensive threat assessment of the Nigerian locations he'll be doing his farming business in. I believe the reason he chose to do his farming in Rivers State is because of the Nigerian population of an estimated 230 million compared to the Ghanaian population which is around 35 million.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Approves Conversion Of YABATECH To University by Konquest: 11:07am On Feb 15, 2025
treesun:
The Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa, on Friday, said President Bola Tinubu has approved the conversion of the Yaba College of Technology, YABATECH, to a university.

He disclosed the news to the management, staff, and students of the college during a working visit to the institution.

“The rector said some minutes ago that the staff, students, and management of the college have been praying and fasting that it be converted to a university. Somehow, you have kind of ambushed me, but I must let you know that when I discussed the issue with President Bola Tinubu, he did not waste time in approving. I am just waiting for the memo and other necessary protocols from the appropriate quarters.

“This school is a legacy, and with over 200 staff members holding doctorate degrees in various fields, it is more than ready and fit to become a university. All the credit about this should go to the president, who loves education and is concerned about giving the best to the youths who are our future leaders,” he stated.

Alausa, who went around the college to inaugurate and inspect some projects, expressed satisfaction with the maintenance culture of the management that has kept most of the facilities in good shape despite their age.

“I commend you for pursuing excellence, and we need innovation and investments in technology for development, and I can assure you that the federal government would back you up,” he added.

He stressed further that one of the reasons the Tinubu administration is focusing on technical and vocational education and adding entrepreneurship to it is to stem the Japa Syndrome.

“We are not taking the issue of artificial intelligence, robotics, coding, and others with levity. We know that if our youths are good at those things, they can be in Nigeria and be working for firms in many parts of the world, and they will be earning foreign exchange. That will help stem this Japa of a thing, where people would travel abroad to do menial jobs,” he stated.

He noted that for over three decades, Nigeria abandoned technical and vocational education and focused on producing graduates who are always after white-collar jobs, but that the focus has now changed.

“In Europe and other places, the focus has been on incorporating TVET to become a core aspect of their education system, and that is what we are doing now. We need education that would aid manufacturing and technological innovations and that would also lead to a robust private sector, which will drive societal growth and development,” he opined.

Earlier, the rector, Dr Ibrahim Abdul, said with over 200 PhD holders in its services, YABATECH was more than qualified to become a university.

“While we are praying that we become a university, we don’t want to become just one of those universities. We want to be a university of technical and vocational education that would bring innovation and also solve societal problems and challenges and contribute greatly to the advancement of our dear country. We have the manpower, and we just need the support of the government in this regard,” he stated.

Abdul reeled out the various achievements of his administration and said the management would not relent in raising the stakes higher.

The Chairman of the Governing Council, Prof. Funso Afolabi, thanked the minister for the visit and solicited his support in getting their demands met.

The bill that would state the change in status of the college and the new name it would bear is expected to the sent to the National Assembly for passage and presidential assent.

That is what you want to believe
That is an idea that is sweet in your stomach so you want it to be true

The reality is that the Northerners in particular boycotted and resisted this 1921 census because they distrusted the motives
Another census was carried out in 1931 look for it

We are talking about an era when the main mode of transport was walking and the bicycle
People need to pause and imagine what technology existed in the world in 1921 not to talk of Nigeria

There was no radio station in the country at that time

Stop for a moment to imagine a census in A Nigeria where most people were illiterate, there were no roads,no cars,no electricity,no radio ,no TV And people resisting it because not everyone accepted Colonial authority
Nicely put.

People just go fishing to look for data to boost their inferiority complex

1921 census is of historical value to the extent that it happened
I why do you accept census results that favour you and reject those that don't

In 1921 the census was boycotted and resisted in many places because of the belief that they were

.......were mostly for military conscription, taxation or subsidising the costs of imperial rule. The subjects usually found ways to resist them. You.
ANSELM ODINKALU
This topic was thrashed out on another NL thread a few years ago which literally tore to shreds this highly ridiculous 1921 census being bandied around online by some misguided young secessionists supporters.

That 1921 census was indeed boycotted by many in Yorubaland and the Northern Region because of the belief that it was meant to be used for taxation so the final result or figure wasn't a TRUE reflection of the overall Nigerian population as of 1921 so it wasn't credible. Subsequent census figures were a lot closer to the TRUE figures.

Meet Mr Silas, a visionary entrepreneur who left Ghana for Nigeria with a dream—to build a thriving agricultural empire. Today, he owns a multi-million farm, proving that farming in Africa is a goldmine when done right!

In this video, he shares:
✅ Why he moved to Nigeria
✅ The challenges he faced and how he overcame them
✅ How he built a profitable farm from the ground up
✅ Tips for anyone looking to start a successful farm in Africa

If you’re interested in agribusiness, entrepreneurship, or making millions through farming, this story will inspire you!
I watched the full video and this location is right in Rivers State. I like the warrior mentality of the Ghanaian dude. But he has to ensure that he ruthlessly keeps things on the low profile so he doesn't get kidnapped for ransom or robbed in that Rivers State by some mentally lazy people, and ensure via constantly reading and listening to crime news online and offline that his travel routes by road around Nigeria are NOT the ones infested by highway armed robbers and vicious kidnappers.

That said, with a proper location threat assessment by him or anyone, Nigeria is a good place to engage in agribusiness because of the huge population. Whatever is left can be targeted for export to his home country of Ghana or other African countries.
TravelRe: Afrijet Starts Nigeria-Gabon Flight, Lands In Port Harcourt by Konquest: 10:17am On Feb 15, 2025
zero8zero:
Afrijet Business Service has made its first-ever direct flight from Libreville, Gabon, to Port Harcourt, Nigeria. The airline, owned by the Gabonese government, described the launch as a huge step in its expansion strategy, providing a crucial link between two key energy hubs in Central and West Africa.

The announcement was made in a statement signed by Nyl Moret-Mba, Afrijet’s General Director. How the airline plans to operate The airline announced it will operate twice weekly flights using an ATR 72-600 aircraft.

This, according to Afrijet, marks a new chapter in the airline’s expansion strategy, providing a direct link between Libreville, Gabon, and Port Harcourt, Nigeria, two crucial hubs for the oil and gas industry.

This was made known through a statement signed by the General Director of Afrijet, Nyl Moret-Mba, and made available to our correspondent on Tuesday.

Operating twice a week, Moret-Mba said the flights are conducted on an ATR 72-600, offering eight business class seats and 54 economy class seats.

He added that the departure schedule from Libreville to Port Harcourt is set for Tuesdays and Fridays at 9:15 PM and 3:30 PM, respectively, while the return flights from Port Harcourt to Libreville are available on Wednesdays and Fridays, landing in Gabon at 12:30 PM and 7:15 PM.

The statement reads partly, “This new route dramatically reduces travel time, making Port Harcourt just 1 hour and 15 minutes away from Libreville. It also provides direct connections to other key cities in Central and West Africa, including Douala, Pointe-Noire, Port-Gentil, Malabo, and even Johannesburg.

“The launch is expected to significantly benefit the oil sector by easing the movement of personnel and facilitating trade, as well as improving cultural exchanges between these strategic regions.”

Furthermore, starting in April 2025, Afrijet also promised to expand its presence with four weekly flights in each direction, doubling its current frequency.

Additionally, the airline said it was set to enhance its network with a new direct flight from Libreville to Bangui, the capital of the Central African Republic.

The General Director of Afrijet said, “Beginning February 19, 2025, this 1 hour and 45-minute flight will operate every Wednesday, with departures from Libreville at 3:45 PM and from Bangui at 6:30 PM. The flight will be operated on a CRJ 900 aircraft, which offers 90 seats.

“These new direct routes between Libreville, Port Harcourt, and Bangui are a key milestone in improving regional travel.

“By reducing logistical barriers, we are enhancing connectivity between Central Africa and Nigeria, making travel faster and more comfortable for our passengers.”

That's impressive. The use of the ATR 72-600 is a very wise move by the Afrijet management from Gabon because it's a very fuel efficient aircraft.

Even the Fon People themselves had some Yoruba Ancestry but it was the Slave trade that truly put them on the Map

PoliticsRe: Press Release By Ijaws Of Egbema Clan: Rejoinder. by Konquest: 9:08pm On Feb 14, 2025
JANK23H:
PRESS RELEASE BY IJAWS OF EGBEMA CLAN: REJOINDER.

1. The attention of the Toru-Ibe Ijaws of Edo state has been drawn to the Rejoinder of the Benin Traditional Council Christened Press Release by the Ijaws of Egbema clan: REJOINDER: In the said rejoinder the Benin Chiefs affirm that the Ijaws as a people have no God given lands in Edo State, particularly Benin area". They continued: "In conjunction with representatives of Ugbo and Itsekiri people we have proved in previous Press statement that the Ijaws in Warri, Benin and Ugbo land are migrants and settlers."

2. To say the least, nothing can be farther from the truth. In fact, the reverse is the case. It is the Binis, the Itsekiris and the Ilajes who are laying false and baseless claims to Ijaws lands in Edo, Delta and Ondo States, and that they are the migrants and settlers in Ijaw land. The Ijaws In Edo, Delta and Ondo States are in their own God given lands from time immemorial.

3. While the Itsekiris in Warri, Delta state, the Ilajes (Mahin) in Ondo state including the Binis in Edo state, are all in Ijaw-lands. The Itsekiris descendants of Ginuwa I, the rejected and banished eldest son of Oba Olua of Benin in the 15th century, precisely 1480AD. came from Benin; the Ilajes (Mahins) from Ile-Ife while the Binis migrated from Egypt, after a short stay in the Sudan and Ile-Ife, to Ijaw lands.

4. In all probability the Press statement to which these Bini Chiefs are referring is very likely to be the one they conspired with Itsekiris and Ilajes to publish in the Nigerian Tribune of March 31,1994 and repeated in the Guardian of April 10th, 1994.

5. We published a very adequate and comprehensive response to all their false-hoods in a Press statement published in the Sunday Tribune of June 26,1994, to which these Bini Chiefs have no clues till today; that in reality the reverse is the case, that the Binis, Itsekiris and the Ilajes are the migrants, squatters and settlers in Ijaw land.

6. The history of the Ijaws in Nigeria including the Toru-Ibe Ijaws of Edo State, Egbema Ijaws in Delta State and the Arogbo Ijaws in Ondo State as the aborigines of both the Niger Delta and wherever they are found in the Nigerian Coast board has never been questioned or disputed. No history or historian has been able to establish that the Ijaws of Nigeria migrated from any where to the coast which they have been identified with. While many other ethnic groups in Nigeria have traced their origins to countries outside Nigeria, the Ijaws of the Niger Delta have no home other than their present habitat the Niger Delta which stretches from the Eastern Adonis in Akwa-Ibom state through the Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo and Ondo States. But on the other hand the Binis migrated from Egypt via the Sudan to Ile-Ife; the Itsekiris came from Benin, and so by implication, from Ile-Ife , and the Ilajes from Ile-Ife. The Ijaws are in their proper original home in the Niger Delta of Nigeria.

In other words whereas, there was a time when there was none of these people- Binis, Itsekiris and Ilajes (Mahins)- in the riverine places that they are now falsely claiming to be their own, the Ijaws, the most ancient people in Nigeria, have always been in these riverine areas, their natured habitat.

7. WITNESS OF HISTORY TO IJAW AUTOCHTHONISM IN NIGERIA
History books are replete with the fact that the Ijaws are the most ancient and indigenous inhabitants of wherever they are found in the riverine areas in Benin, Warri and Ugbo. In fact, it is the verdict of history that the Ijaws are the most ancient people in the whole of Nigeria, and are among the most ancient in West Africa. We shall quote a few historians who testify to this fact. Professor J.S, Coleman in his book titled Nigeria: Background to Nationalism (Los Angeles, 1963, p. 28) describes the Ijaws as "perhaps the most ancient in West Africa whose Language has little or no affinity with any other in Nigeria ". In similar vein Professors Stride and Ifeka submit: "Some of the oldest inhabitants of the Atlantic Coast are the Jola, Pepeh and Sorer of the Senegambia, and Sherbro and Bulom of Sierra Leone. Along the Guinea Coast, the Lagoon folk of Ivory Coast, the Guan of Southern Ghana and the Ijaws of the Niger Delta (underlining ours) must be included among the most ancient of the coastal dwellers." (.G.T Stride and C. Ifeka, peoples and empires of West Africa 1000-1800, 1971, P.S).

8. Dr. P.A Talbot, once acting Resident of Benin Division (1920), calls the Ijaws "this strange people- a survival from the dim past beyond the dawn of history- whose language and customs are distinct from those of their neighbors and without trace of any tradition of time before they were driven-southwards into these regions of sombre mangroves." (Tribes of the Niger Delta, 1932, p.5). In another context, Dr. Talbot submits firmly; "their (Ijaws) origin is wrapped in mystery. The people inhabit practically the whole Coast, some 250 miles in length, stretching between the Ibibio and Yoruba. The Niger Delta therefore, is…occupied by this strange people." (Ibid)
9. Professor Wilfrid D. Hambly testifies: " Beliefs held by the Ijaws are of particular interest because these people are probably the oldest inhabitants of Nigeria."(Serpent Worship in Africa, (Chicago, U.S.A. 1931, p.16). In another context, Professor Wilfrid Hambly declares firmly: "Pythons are held sacred throughout the region of Marsh lands and waters inhabited by the most ancient tribe of all, the Ijaws." "(underlining ours Ibid).
10. These and more are objective and honest historians and writers who have no ulterior motive for their work. They are unanimous in their submission that the Ijaws are the indigenous and most ancient people of the Delta and the riverine, coastal areas of Nigeria.
The Binis , Itsekiris and Ilajes who say the Ijaws are strangers, settlers , tenants or squatters in the Nigeria coast line are betraying themselves as liars, deceivers, and people engaged in dirty, expansionist politicking and who are bound to fail.

11. ITSEKIRI - ORIGIN
As a matter of fact, a historian, William Moore, an Itsekiri himself actually called the Itsekiris and the Ilajes (Mahins) squatters in Ijaw-land. He writes: "Prior to the advent of the Bini Ginuwa (i.e 1480), the territory now known as the Kingdom of Itsekiri or Iwere, was inhabited by three tribes, namely, the Ijaws, Sobos (Urhobo) and Mahins (Ilajes)… (The Sobos) occupied the hinterland, while the Ijaws occupied the coastline, and the Mahins (llajes) squatted on the sea-shore near the Benin River… the Mahins (Ilajes) hailed from Akoko and Ikale in the province of Ondo, Nigeria." (History of Itsekiri, 1970), P. B.

12. In another context, William Moore submits: "Prince Ginuwa first landed at Amatu (an Ijaw town) where he squatted for about three decades, he moved to Oruselomo where he married an Ijaw woman named Derumo… a dispute arose between him and the Ijaws of Gulani on account of the woman Derumo who was killed by him… he fled to Ijala where he later died…" (Ibid. pp. 18 - 20).

13. According to Chief Dr. Egharevba, "Oba Olua knew that his eldest son Iginua was hated by the Binis for the bad advice he had given against the people. He decided to send him away… The Oba did not wish the scheme to be known to his chiefs in order that they might send their sons to accompany him as his subjects so he cunningly asked them to send their sons with Iginua (Ginuwa) to sacrifice for him by the sea… Olua made a big box and filled it with the necessary royal attire… and to conceal the secret put the sacrificial victims on the top. He had made arrangements in advance for Ijaw men to take Igniua and his retinue in their canoes to their destination… Being very proud and fond of wearing fine clothes he was nicknamed "Iginua the proud". He was also very cunning and cruel. " (A Short History of Benin, 1968, P. 21).

14. Ginuwa's (Iginua) retinue was made up of seventy (70) all male including Ginuwa and all first sons of Bini Chiefs. There was no single woman among them. The Ijaws took them in their canoes to Amalu. After waiting for a long time and seeing that their sons did not return, the Bini chiefs realised that they had been deceived by their Oba. So they sent warriors to Ugharagin (now Oghareki) to fetch their sons home. But they had been ferried across the river by the Ijaws who refused to co-operate with the Bini chiefs, so, their mission failed.

15 Apart from accommodating these seventy men and giving them land to stay, the Ijaws gave wives to these seventy to marry and taught them all the techniques of living in the rivers including how to make river craft.
16. This is the story of the Itsekiri people who are actually the tenants, squatters and settlers in Ijawland as any reader can see for himself/herself.
17. ILAJES (MAHINS) - ORIGIN
The Ilajes met the Arogbo-Ijaws in the home land of the latter people. The Ilajes escaped from Ile-Ife a few centuries ago running for their dear life because of the misunderstanding between them and their kith and kins in Ile-Ife. They arrived in Ijawland in the present Ondo State and pleaded to be sheltered. Thus the Ilajes whose countrymen, the Yoruba are hinterland based people found themselves settled along the Atlantic sea-coast separated from the hinterland by the Arogbo-Ijaw clan who inhabit the fresh water swamps of the Delta adjoining the mainland. This historical event explains why the oldest Ilaje-towns can only be found along the Atlantic coast line and not more than a few decades old. The Arogbo-Ijaws taught the Ilajes the art of swimming, fishing, house building and canoe-paddling the only mode of transportation in the area.

18. This story was corroborated by the testimony of the then Olugbo-Elect, Crown Prince Adebanjo Akingbade Mafimisebi. He is now the substantive Olugbo of Ugbo. Testifying before the Justice Ajakaiye Chieftaincy Commission of Inquiry sitting at Akure, he deposed as follows: "The Ugbo-Kingdom in the Ilaje-Ese Odo Local Government of Ondo State existed before Oduduwa came to Ile-Ife. Ugbo (Ilaje) Kingdom is one of the ancient Kingdoms in Yorubaland as a whole, and the people (Ilajes) were originally (underlining ours) in Ile-Ife before Oduduwa (father of the Yorubas) came and raided them. They first settled at Oke Mafunranyan (High Hill) which was later known as Oke-Igbo, and later migrated to the Arogbo-Ijaw riverine area of Ondo State." (See Sunday Sketch, June 19, 1988.

19. This history of Ilaje settlement in their present habitat is further corroborated in a short history of the Ilajes by an expatriate, Patriarch J. G. Campbell who stated that the Ilajes left Ile-Ife to Ese-Odo area where they were assisted by the Ijos (Ijaws) to settle in their new environment.

20. The said press statement by the conspirator Chiefs was released on the eve of the so called Constitutional Conference organised by the Abacha Administration. Its intention was to mislead, misinform and deceive the public, the Abacha Government and the delegates to the conference to deny us our request for a separate Local Government - Toru-Ibe Local Government Area.

21. The present Rejoinder by these writers has the same intention: to misinform, mislead and deceive the public and the Federal and State Governments in the on-going Boundary delimitation exercise embarked upon by the National Boundary Commission. The third purpose of these conspirators is to show the Ijaws in a bad light, all in their attempt to corner our God-given oil rich lands.

22. They insulted the whole Ijaw race by describing it as " a nomadic and highly sedentary race that migrate to other places to live, "using their canoes in the water ways and settling on shore to engage in their fishing business." These are very inflamming words , and these chiefs owe an unreserved apology to the Ijaw ethnic nationality.
23. The Ijaws are neither nomads, migrants nor settlers, as we shall prove very presently.
But we are proud that we have our own river-craft, canoes, with which we ply our criss-cross rivers, rivulets and seas all over the coast of Nigeria and convey our goods and goods of others; we are not beast of burden like these chiefs who heave their loads on their heads and shoulders, walking miles and miles some times on bare foot.
24. Secondly, these Bini Chiefs are either very ignorant people or they are just being mischievous, out to deceive, misinform and mislead the public and governments. Their own son, late Chief (Dr.) Jacob Uwagboe Egharevba wrote that they are actually, the migrants, that they migrated from Egypt to the Sudan, and then migrated from the Sudan to Ile-Ife and then again migrated from Ile-Ife to the present place, and that "Tradition says that they (the Binis) met some people who were in the land before their arrival "(A Short History Benin, Ibadan University Press, 1968, P.1).

25. And the people, they met in the land were the Ijaws who ferried them across the Ovia river with their river-craft (Ibid. pp. 6&9) which the Bini Chiefs tried to ridicule. This duty of ferrying Binis and other people across Ovia River the Ijaws continued to perform creditably over the years until a few decades ago when bridges were constructed across the River Ovia. When vehicles appeared in Nigeria the Ijaws wisely joined two or three big canoes together to continue to do their job of ferrying men and goods across the river Ovia. The last Ijaw ferryman was chief Beyo of Ikoro, an Ijaw community in Ovia North-East Local Government Area

26 In his book titled. The Origin and Titles of Yoruba Rulers (n.d. p.3) E. A. Kenya writes about the new comers (the Binis) "Up till that time the Oba of (Benin) and his people were pure Yoruba and did not understand the language of the aborigines who usually saluted themselves and the people thus: 'A doo', dolo o; and whenever the Oba's people saw these aborigines they used to call them "Ados".

27 S. K. Owonaro corroborates Kenyo's statement. He writes: "To the proposal Prince Godo readily consented. He therefore left Ife with the old woman and the regalia of authority… He migrated southwards till he got to the present site of Benin City where he met with some people known as Ifa, or Edos." (The History of Ijo and Her Neighbouring Tribes in Nigeria, 1949, p. 94).

28 And according to P. C. Lloyd, "… Yoruba was the Court language in Benin both before and at the time of Ginuwa's departure (in 1480), hence its use at Ode Itsekiri". (The Benin Kingdom and the Edo speaking Peoples of Southern Nigeria by R.E. Bradbury with a section on the Itsekiri by P. C. Llyod. 1957, p. 179).

29 Ado o., dolo o are the greetings of the Ijaws till today, an incontrovertible evidence that the aborigines Kenyo wrote about are the Ijaws. The aliens (the Binis) ridiculed and nicknamed the Ijaws Ados which in the corrupt form Edo/Ado became the name of the Edo people, their language, and the city of Benin. The Ijaws are the aborigines of Benin and the entire land.
30 Thus there are two elements in Benin today. The Oba and his dynasty commencing with Prince Oranmiyan from Ile-Ife in 1170 AD represent the alien, Yoruba element while the Ogiamwen, the Uzama, (an Ijaw word meaning "Ijaw people or Ijaw town"wink and the Iyase represent the Ijaw aborigines (A. Ryder, Benin and the Europeans 1485 - 1897), 1969, pp. 3 - 8. Cf Egharevba, Op. Cit, pp. 9f)
31 This was why there was a near perfect harmony between the Binis and the Ijaws all over the Country until the reign of the present Oba of Benin who has put the spanner between people who had been living together in peace for centuries. His ambition is to be both Oba of Benin and the Oba of Toru-Ibe Ijaws. We consider this as an inordinate ambition, impossible to realise.
32 It is important to state at this juncture one very important historical fact. And this is to the effect that numberless centuries before the slave trade, during the slave trade and long after the inhuman human traffic no interior tribe including the Binis dared to found any village near a river, particularly the five so-called slave rivers, namely Rio Primeriro (First River), Rio Fermoso (the Beautiful River, now the Benin River), Riodos Escravos (the slave River), the Rio dos Forcados (the Swallowtail River) and the Rio dos Ramos (Creek River).
HealthRe: Making Babies Without Eggs May Be Possible, Say Scientists by Konquest: 8:04pm On Feb 14, 2025
JANK23H:
Scientists say early experiments suggest it may one day be possible to make babies without using eggs. They have succeeded in creating healthy baby mice by tricking sperm into believing they were fertilising normal eggs.
The findings in Nature Communications, could, in the distant future, mean women can be removed from the baby-making process, say the researchers.

For now, the work helps to explain some of the details of fertilisation.End of mum and dad?
The University of Bath scientists started with an unfertilised egg in their experiments.

They used chemicals to trick it into becoming a pseudo-embryo.These "fake" embryos share much in common with ordinary cells, such as skin cells, in the way they divide and control their DNA.The researchers reasoned that if injecting sperm into mouse pseudo-embryos could produce healthy babies, then it might one day be possible to achieve a similar result in humans using cells that are not from eggs.

In the mouse experiments, the odds of achieving a successful pregnancy was one in four.Dr Tony Perry, one of the researchers, told the BBC News website: "This is the first time that anyone has been able to show that anything other than an egg can combine with a sperm in this way to give rise to offspring.
"It overturns nearly 200 years of thinking."
Those baby mice were healthy, had a normal life expectancy and had healthy pups of their own.

Fertilisation

The goal of the researchers is to understand the exact mechanisms of fertilisation because what happens when a sperm fuses with an egg is still a bit of a mystery. For example, the egg completely strips the sperm's DNA of all its chemical clothing and re-dresses it.
That stops the sperm behaving like a sperm and makes it act like an embryo, but how the "costume change" takes place is not clear.
Removing the need for an egg could have a wider impact on society.Dr Perry said: "One possibility, in the distant future, is that it might be possible that ordinary cells in the body can be combined with a sperm so that an embryo is formed."

In other words, two men could have a child, with one donating an ordinary cell and the other, sperm.Or one man could have his own child using his own cells and sperm - with that child being more like a non-identical twin than a clone.Dr Perry stressed that such scenarios were still "speculative and fanciful" at this stage.

Earlier this year in China, scientists were able to make sperm from stem cells and then fertilise an egg to produce healthy mice.
Dr Perry suggested that combining the two fields of research may eventually do without the need for sperm and eggs altogether.
Prof Robin Lovell-Badge, from the Francis Crick Institute, commented: "I'm not surprised that the authors are excited about this.

"I think it is a very interesting paper, and a technical tour de force and I am sure it will tell us something important about reprogramming at these early steps of development that are relevant to both fertilisation and single cell nuclear transfer [cloning]."And, perhaps more broadly, about reprogramming of cell fate in other situations."It doesn't yet tell us how, but the paper gives a number of clear pointers."

Car TalkRe: Dangote Set To Dominate Nigeria Auto Sector by Konquest: 7:01pm On Feb 14, 2025
Islie:
Dangote Group, one of the most respected conglomerates in the country, has demonstrated its resolve to dominate the nation’s automobile sector, especially in the passenger car and commercial sector.

Dangote, which took the franchise for the Peugeot brands few years ago and later Sinotruck brand, has continued to rollout models from its two plants in Kaduna (Peugeot) and Lagos (trucks).

Dangote in a significant move to become a leading player in the sector has commenced the assembly of the Peugeot 3008 GT model at its Kaduna plant, in addition to other models.

This development marks a major milestone in Dangote Peugeot Automobile Nigeria, (DPAN) Limited’s efforts to revitalise the Peugeot brand in Nigeria, which was the most popular brand in the country in the 1970s and 80s.

The Peugeot 3008 GT, with its 1.6-litre high-performance turbo engine, joins DPAN Limited’s existing lineup of locally assembled vehicles, including the Peugeot 301 Sedan and the 5008, a seven-seater SUV known for its spacious interior, stylish design, and modern technology features.

In addition to the 3008 GT, DPAN has also unveiled the Peugeot Landtrek 4×2, a pickup truck with a rear-wheel drive system, powered by a 2.4-litre engine. This move marks DPAN’s entry into the light commercial segment of the market.

According to Umar Isa-Kaita, DPAN’s Chief Commercial Officer, the company is engaged in discussions with auto companies to expand its Peugeot sales and after-sales network by accrediting dealerships across Nigeria.

This initiative aims to enhance the visibility and availability of Peugeot vehicles nationwide, while ensuring satisfactory after-sales support for customers.

The introduction of the 3008 GT and the Landtrek pickup truck is a fulfillment of DPAN’s promise to expand its lineup of locally assembled vehicles.

The company’s Managing Director, Ibrahim Isa Gachi, had assured that these models would follow the Peugeot 301, which was launched in January 2022.

With its Kaduna plant capable of assembling 120 vehicles per day, DPAN is poised to gradually reclaim the Peugeot brand’s former glory in Nigeria’s automotive market.

The company’s efforts are expected to revitalize the industry, which has faced significant challenges in recent years.

DPAN is a joint venture between Dangote Industries Limited, Kaduna, Plateau, and Kebbi State Governments, and Stellantis Group, the parent company of Peugeot.

The company’s commitment to assembling high-quality vehicles in Nigeria is a testament to its dedication to the country’s economic development and growth.
https://www.vanguardngr.com/2025/02/car-production-dangote-set-to-dominate-nigeria-auto-sector/
I first saw this report (showing the different Peugeot models from Dangote two days ago). The vehicle manufacturing sector from my research is saturated already with a diminished customer demand, so, creative vehicle purchase and financing models will have to give way. Then the car companies that can easily churn out EVs and dual CNG-fuel cars, buses, and trucks at a cheaper cost would have a first-mover advantage.

Ghana, Zimbabwe, South Africa, North African countries, Kenya and more have foreign and indigenous car manufacturers and assembly plants, so, creative strategies for selling vehicles have to kick in for any foreign mass market with disposable income.

God bless you. Demolish Cocoa House, a fantastic part of the history of the SW, and put what in it's place? Cocoa house is an architectural museum-standard monument and not just a building.

Great post Sir. Below are examples of UK grade 2 listed buildings warranting preservation protection while some want the demolition of one of the most iconically important and symbolic building in Nigeria ever. A historic skyscraper for that matter.
@UltraSolid,

Succinctly stated.

It's good to know that folks like you have a great sense of history. Those preserved UK homes in the attached images further emphasize what we are saying here.

However, back in the 2000s, I visited the "Western House" skyscraper built in the 1950s by the Old Western Region on Lagos Island before it underwent gentrification years later by Wemabod which is the property division of the Old Western Region and now Odua Investment. (Some elevators were down and repaintings of some sections were needed at that time but some sections that were already occupied by various business offices of Chambers of Commerce and more were okay). So, a structural integrity has to be conducted on the "Cocoa House" as well to ensure that it can withstand future earth tremors (and even earthquakes) because Ibadan and Abeokuta have historically experienced earth tremors (not earthquake scenarios) in the decades past due to the FACT that there's an earthquake fault line running from the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of West Africa. A top Nigerian geologist, Prof. Odeyemi had since the 1980s talked and warned about that fault line which passes through the Western parts of Nigeria moving up North, (hence the Abeokuta, Ibadan, Saki in Oyo State earth tremors). Even Abuja and Bayelsa experienced earth tremors in the 2010s. With early warning systems in place though, people can be alerted to potential plate tectonic activities though.

That said, I was unhappy with the demolition of some iconic Brazilian-styled buildings built on Lagos Island in the late 1800s and just after 1900 by some wealthy Yoruba returnees from Bahia in Brazil. Those buildings should have been restored to generate income from foreign and Nigeria-based tourists. Fortunately the mansion (Water House or Agua d'Casa) built by Candido da Rocha, (the first ever Nigerian to become a millionaire in British Pounds is still standing. His father was an Ijesa-Yoruba returnee from Bahia, Brazil, and Candido also returned with him in the 1850s). With the rise of ancestry DNA tests by DNA testing companies, more Diasporan African descendants from the unfortunate plantation slavery years are visiting Africa (especially West Africa, Angola, and Congo) more and more to connect with their roots. Just last month (January 2025), A delegation of tourists led by Gina Paige of African Ancestry visited Lagos with her entourage (who had taken DNA tests linking them to specific West African ethnic groups either on the paternal or maternal sides) and the Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu welcomed them in his office. They later visited the J.K. Randle Yoruba Cultural Center on Lagos Island and a few places outside Lagos. That's the cultural and income-generation cashflow from international tourism we are talking about.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Cocoa House is still an architecturally stunning building that symbolises the essence of progressive Yoruba leadership the "Sage" , Awolowo, and other Yorubas exemplified.

It is an inspired and iconic choice that simply needs modernisation and sympathetic restoration. It can be retrofitted to look even better than FAMFA tower in Ikoyi owned by Folorunsho Alakija.
Absolutely well said.

What you wrote above was on my mind until I saw your post which succinctly captured my thoughts.

The iconic "Cocoa House" located in the Central Business District (CBD) area of Ibadan can undergo gentrification into a modern masterpiece. Unknown to the younger generation, that building was the FIRST EVER skyscraper in Nigeria, and the famous "Western House" on Lagos Island was ALSO built by the government of the Old Western Region led by Chief Jeremiah Obafemi Awolowo, GCFR, SAN, and his dynamic team of strategists, making the "Western House" the tallest skyscraper as of the time of construction on Lagos Island.

Second, Chief Jeremiah Obafemi Awolowo's thinking was clearly light years ahead in the 1950s with the construction of the first ever modern TV station in Nigeria, first modern stadia, several Industrial Estates in the Old Western Region (Oluyole Industrial Estate in Ibadan, Ikeja Industrial Estate, Ilupeju, Iganmu and Isolo Industrial Estates, etc, which other regions scrambled to ALSO copy in Kaduna, Trans-Amadi in Port Harcourt and in Aba) and the current team of political and business leaders in the Western States of Nigeria have to be "disruptively innovative" and think light years ahead as well, just like Lee Kuan Yew of Singapore transformed an underdeveloped city-state into a modern, technologically advanced country. I have a copy of Lee Kuan Yew's over 800-page book (which I first bought and read n the early 2000s) in my home library, entitled: "From Third World to First: The Singapore Story" and the book literally shows how countries can be transformed with innovative leaders who have a sense of urgency.

He never believed in one Nigeria but he knew pursuing that might ruin the plan and strategically he's breaking the power off and splitting it to the regions. FG allocation will now be split to regions. It will be more of competition like the good old Awolowo days.
For the sake of clarity...

What the then Senator Bola Tinubu (now President of Nigeria) meant in that two-page interview he granted to Ayo Arowolo who was then a member of staff of "ThisDay" newspapers back in the late 1990s is that "he didn't believe in the way the entirety of Nigeria was inefficiently constituted at that time" which coincided with the pro-democracy struggles by students, lawyers, journalists, and other activists with international support to restore democracy in the aftermath of the annulment of the June 12, 1993 elections and the brutal assassinations of several well-known people (such as the car bombing of the Chief Security Officer of Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Ikeja, Alhaja Kudirat Abiola, Chief Alfred Rewane, gun attacks on the vehicles of Chief Abraham Adesanya, Chief Alex Ibru was severely wounded but survived, etc) by the military hit-squads led by Al-Mustapha working for the criminal military dictatorship of Sani Abacha.

The headline of that original This Day newspaper article was sensationalized by the ThisDay Editor (like newspapers still love to do) in the late 1990s to generate a larger readership (and to give the impression that Bola Tinubu did NOT want to have anything to do with Nigeria again as of when he granted the interview to Ayo Arowolo). Now, you have an insidious gang of young, headless chickens sharing just the screenshots of ONLY the first page of that article WITHOUT reading the second page which most of those trolls have definitely never read to get a better understanding of what the article entailed.

Today, we had a meeting of the South West Governors’ Forum and passed a vote of confidence on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the economic stability and improvements recorded across the nation, particularly in the sustained supply and distribution of petroleum products and the stabilisation of the exchange rate.

We also issued a communique applauding the successful implementation of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), which has greatly benefited students in our region. I urge all eligible students to take advantage of this initiative to further their education and skills development.

Recognising emerging security threats, we resolved to establish a Joint Surveillance and Monitoring Team to enhance security coordination across the South West. We are committed to taking decisive actions to ensure the safety and stability of our communities.

Additionally, we addressed the issue of inflated food prices caused by unscrupulous middlemen in the supply chain. We agreed to create a State Food Inflation Joint Monitoring Team and establish Aggregation Centres and Food Hubs to combat food inflation.

We appreciate the Federal Government for creating the South West Development Commission (SWDC) with Cocoa House in Ibadan as its headquarters. I have full confidence in Odu’a Investment Company Limited's management of our regional assets. We urged the Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN) Commission to strengthen collaboration with our Commissioners for Agriculture to boost industrialisation and infrastructure development.

Together, we are dedicated to promoting peace, security, and economic growth in the South West.

To achieve the ABOVE with the "State Food Inflation Joint Monitoring Team" and the establishment of "Aggregation Centres and Food Hubs," the South West States can purchase special CNG cargo trucks and get the Nigerian Railways to convert cargo trains to use CNG fuel to bring food items in bulk from the North of Nigeria and the agricultural belts of Yorubaland from Kogi, Kwara, Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Ondo, Ekiti, and the contiguous States of Edo, Delta, Niger States, etc. The use of informants and tool-free special phone numbers for folks to report those middle men (who cheat the consumers with inflated prices thereby leading to artificial inflation). This isn't rocket science.

With that said, the domino effect would kick in and lead to less crime, and corruption in the society.

Second, as for security, I like the fact that they want to purchase surveillance drones for advanced security coverage. Though it wasn't stated in the X post, I got to here about the planned use of drones from other news sources. So, surveillance and attack drones will complement the security efforts of the Police and Amotekun officers.

QUESTION TO AI (ChatGPT)
What percentage of Africa's GDP is from US aid?

ChatGPT said:

''Determining the exact percentage of Africa's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) derived from U.S. aid involves analyzing both the total U.S. assistance to African nations and the continent's overall GDP.

U.S. Aid to Africa:

In fiscal year 2023, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) administered approximately $43.79 billion in foreign aid globally. Historically, Africa has received about 20% of U.S. aid, with countries like Egypt, Kenya, and South Sudan being significant beneficiaries.

Africa's GDP:

As of recent estimates, Africa's GDP is approximately $2.6 trillion.

Calculating the Percentage:

If Africa receives around 20% of the $43.79 billion U.S. aid budget, that equates to approximately $8.76 billion. When compared to Africa's GDP of $2.6 trillion, U.S. aid constitutes about 0.34% of the continent's GDP.

Therefore, U.S. aid accounts for a relatively small fraction of Africa's total economic output.

NEXT STORY PLS!!!
That's a nice feedback from the Chat GPT AI tool.

The total annual budget from USAID was approximately $40billion for the entire world, NOT Africa alone.

I follow Ifedayo Olarinde (Freeze) on IG and I completely agree with his submission here for Innocent to get in touch physically with his mum in private to resolve the issues, and later bring Irobosa to meet her as well. He has also been clearly separated from his former wife of 10 years for some time now, so, it wasn't a SUDDEN divorce and his plan to remarry later is in order. The more you fight a couple who are in love (or lust in some cases), the more they fall in love (or lust).

Regardless, Innocent will be 50 years of age this year (2025) and has the absolute prerogative to get married to any woman of his choice that will give him "inner peace." His biological mother (in this video) can ONLY advice him in private but NOT teleguide him and publicly defame his choice of woman in a viral video like this. Natasha Irobosa Osawaru (the 32-year-old lawyer, and lawmaker representing Egor in the Edo State HOA) is the grandaughter of the business mogul and Esama of Benin, Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion. She's educated and NOBODY has a right to defame Irobosa like that.

The first sentence is very well said.

However the major funding for these Jihadist groups operating in Africa and other parts of the world largely come from criminality (kidnappings, illegal mining, direct funding as affiliates of al-Qaeda, the oil-rich Gulf countries who pay millions of USD yearly to prevent terrorist attacks on their home soils, etc).

The entire Trump machinery knew back then what USAID was being used for in the area of counter terrorism. It's only during Trump's second coming in 2025 that they are trying to reorganize and reduce costs because a lot of tax-payers money (running into billions of USD) was being spent on irrelevant projects. So, the attempts by the Trump administration to throw the organization under the bus is NOT tenable. USAID was simply used as a "soft power" approach to complement the use of "hard power" military tactics for long-term geopolitical influence. The "support" isn't charity! The USAID will only undergo some "metamorphosis," get fused with other agencies and continue from there with Trump's supporters as key employees.

In reality, the United States is NOT the only country that has a USAID type of organization. Russia and a couple of other countries have them too. The majority Islamic countries such as Shiite Iran and majority Sunni Saudi Arabia do the same thing where they fund Shiite Muslims and Sunni Muslims in different countries under the cover of NGOs. These fundings to local Muslim groups also directly and indirectly fuel terrorism.

Though he did not specifically mention Kemi Badenoch's name, Pastor Ashimolowo in a video sighted by TheScrutiny prophesied that "if my sister (referencing Kemi Badenoch) ever leads UK, then I am not a Prophet of God"

"The Bible said how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth who healed the sick and went about doing good. There is this power you need for arriving at your destination. He went about....All those restrictions, including immigration restrictions which my sister wants to enforce. Interesting".

"When a monkey climbs a banana tree, he precludes other monkeys from climbing".

"Jesus spoke to his disciples in parables, I've only spoken in parables. Anyone trying to restrict your God-anointed destiny or movement, they are shifted out of the way".

"If that my sister ever leads this country, then I am not a Prophet of God. Go and write it down. That's a powerful statement to make because I have been to the mountains and I have asked questions and I'm telling you what I heard".

"So today on this platform i say to you, where you are intended to reach, nothing can stop you".

Many Nigerians believe Kemi Badenoch, who is the first black woman to lead a major political party in the UK is aiming to become Prime Minister and her statements are targeted towards getting votes of white people.

Monday Onyekachi Ubani, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) in an interview with TheScrutiny says "As for Kemi Badenoch, she wants to channel her thinking in order to gravitate herself towards the whites, with the belief that if she continues saying those things, they will make her Prime Minister someday

"Of course, they can only make her Prime Minister if she says things they want to hear and thinks like them. She is echoing the thinking of the British towards Nigerians and immigrants. The things they can’t say because they know the implications, they are using our own sister to be saying it. It is like the voice of Jacob but hand of Esau. It is a sentiment that suits them well and Kemi is just speaking on their behalf because of what she is aiming to get".

"When the election time comes, she will realise that they will never vote any African or Nigerian to become Prime Minister".

His death was bound to happen regardless.

There are over 100 kinds of cancers that viciously affect the different parts of the human body. In the presence of an acidic environment in the body, cancer cells get triggered and eventually become metastasized. So, early detection is key and different parts of the body respond differently to different types of cancers. Breast cancer survival rate tends to be a bit higher than lung cancer survival rates. With breast cancer, you can easily have it removed to prevent further spread of the cancer despite the use of radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

Babachir Lawal Vows to Work with El-Rufai to Stop Tinubu’s Re-election in 2027

Abuja, Nigeria - Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal, has declared his intention to collaborate with former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai to prevent President Bola Tinubu from winning the 2027 presidential election according to the information obtained by The Bureau Newspaper on Wednesday. Lawal, once an ally of Tinubu, has become a vocal critic of the president, blaming his economic reforms for exacerbating poverty and hardship in Northern Nigeria.

In an interview with Punch, Lawal described Tinubu’s policies as “nail-biting reforms” that have left the Northern region feeling betrayed and economically distressed. He emphasized the urgent need for political change, stating that the North is mobilizing to ensure Tinubu does not secure a second term.

Lawal’s stance aligns with El-Rufai’s recent warnings about a potential political upheaval in 2027, similar to the challenges faced by former President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015. El-Rufai had shared insights on his verified X account (formerly Twitter) from APC member Uche Diala, highlighting a significant decline in Tinubu’s relationship with the North over the past two years.

He acknowledged the divide among political elites over the candidate’s origin, with some advocating for a Southern candidate while others express concerns about the risks involved.

Lawal concluded by highlighting the disconnect between elite opinions and the sentiments of the masses, asserting that even those who appear to support Tinubu will not vote for him due to the hardships they endure. He urged Northern political leaders to heed the call for change and ensure that Tinubu does not secure a second term.

This development signals growing discontent within the Northern political establishment and sets the stage for a contentious battle ahead of the 2027 elections.

The Ogun State Government has firmly dismissed claims by its Ondo State counterpart regarding the ownership of Eba Island, where an oil well is currently under investigation. It emphasized that the island falls within Ogun State’s jurisdiction and cautioned against any attempt to stir communal tensions between the Ijebu and Ilaje peoples, who have historically coexisted peacefully.

The controversy arose after Allen Sowore, Senior Special Assistant to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on Strategic Communication, issued a statement asserting that Oke-Agor-Isekun, where an abandoned oil well was discovered, belongs to Ondo State and not Ogun State.

In response, Special Adviser to Ogun State Governor on Energy, Mr. Jide Onakoya, described Ondo’s claim as misleading and contrary to established historical, traditional, and legal evidence. It labeled the assertion as an affront to the Awujale of Ijebu Land and the Ijebu Traditional Council, reiterating that historical records and documented evidence confirm that the disputed area is within Ogun State.

Onakoya clarified that boundary delineations between local and state governments are based on markers recognized by the National Boundary Commission. A thorough examination of relevant maps affirms that Eba Island lies within Ogun Waterside in Ogun State.

Quoting a document from the Palace of Makun-Omi, the statement asserted:
“…. It is INDISPUTABLE that the oil well currently under investigation is located in Eba Island, which falls within Ogun Waterside in Ogun State."

Furthermore, Ogun State condemned Ondo’s claim over Irokun, a community in Ogun Waterside, calling it a reckless attempt to incite conflict. It emphasized that Irokun has been an Ijebu settlement since the colonial era, transitioning through the Western Region to Ogun State. The geographical boundary declarations along the Bight of Benin confirm Irokun and Araromi Seaside as part of Ogun State, with the Onirokun of Irokun being a recognized member of the Ijebu Traditional Council.

Addressing the origins of the misinformation, the Ogun State Government pointed to Oba Samuel Edema, the Molokun of Atijere in Ondo State, as a key instigator. It revealed that in October 2024, Oba Edema contacted Oba Kazeem Adesina Salami, the Osobia of Makun-Omi, seeking permission for a business venture in Eba Island, located in Ogun Waterside. However, the Osobia of Makun-Omi, acting lawfully, declined the request and promptly reported the matter to the Governor of Ogun State, who escalated it to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and security agencies.

Following this, officials from the NNPC and law enforcement agencies visited the area to conduct due diligence. Ogun State asserted that Ondo’s reaction to this legitimate action resulted in a misleading communiqué from the Ilaje Traditional Council, further escalating tensions.

The government condemned attempts at territorial expansion and the misuse of colonial-era documents to justify claims that contradict Nigeria’s constitutional framework. It cited Colonial Government Gazette No. 660, dated April 29, 1950, which clearly defined the boundary between the Ijebu and Ondo provinces, overriding earlier documents such as Government Notices No. 69 of 1919 and No. 114 of 1920. The Gazette, signed by Acting Chief Secretary to the Colonial Government, H.F. Marshall, solidifies Ogun State’s ownership of the disputed territory.

Ogun State reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining peace and urged stakeholders to respect legal boundaries to avoid unnecessary conflict.
Potential clashes must be avoided here so the quick clarification is apt. The communities in Ondo and Ekiti States border areas are obviously close to one another.

There's already a Federal Gazette showing who owns what land and that must be respected. The Eba Island might have a couple of oil wells but are they of commercial quantity to create such attempts at encroachment? Both Ondo and Ogun States are within the Bitumen Belt which has the SECOND largest Bitumen reserve worldwide (more than the entire crude oil reserve that Nigeria currency has), and both States have crude oil in some onshore and offshore locations, so, they mustn't allow any Eba Island ownership tussle to trigger crises between their Ijebu and Ilaje cousins. That banal-looking "cross" image should be removed from the final draft of the Benue State logo. More visually appealing colors and themes that reflect Benues agriculture, cultures, and landmarks should be added.

Second, I wonder how much was spent to design that basic logo? As a lover of abstract art works and an art collector, I can say here and now that It's a very ordinary logo design done by an amateur tbh. Look at the Lagos and Ekiti States logos for instance and you will see a blend of visually appealing colors and themes.

I am Ikwerre. There is no historical tie between the ikwerres and Igbos. My grandma was from Umuahia and said Igbos have always been a distinct ethnic from Ikwerres. That they called us NDI Ikwerre.

On the Bini connection it is hard for me to agree. But the closeness here is that the ikwerres have a lot in common with the Ekpeye. And the Ekpeye has a lot in common with the Binis. Now the Ekpeye claims they left Bini with the Iwhurnohna (Ikwerre) People. This is where the ikwerres keyed into the Benin narrative.

The Ikwerres have always said they are not Igbos. Ikwerres had Ogbakor Ikwerre in 1963 to identify themselves as a distinct ethnic group even before Igbos remembered to form Ohaneze Ndigbo in 1965. Ikwerre gathered in 1965 to declare their unique identity in a communique released in Rumuomasi even years before the civil war.
Bump.
