I have to come in here after months of noticing some of your posts which don't portray you as a younger "Yoruba" person which you claimed you are? I observed you like posting random narcissistic comments atimes with you now referring to the impending Lekki-Epe International Airport as "another elephant project"(sic). What kind of "bored" language is that? If you don't know already, the Lekki-Epe International Airport is a major PPP (Public-Private Partnership) project running into millions of USD, and all the past to present Lagos State Governments (right from the early 2000s) have followed through and delivered on all the mega developmental projects they've embarked on as PPPs such as the Lekki Free Trade Zone (LFTZ) in Ibeju-Lekki, the construction of Dangote Petrochemical Refinery (located within that same Lekki Free Trade Zone), the Lekki Deep Sea Port in Ibeju-Lekki, the first Nigerian cable suspension bridge known as Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge built by Julius Berger under former Governor Babatunde Raji-Fasola, the Blue and Red Rail Lines under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu (who worked as a senior investment banker, rising to the senior rank of a banking Treasurer), and much more.
So, this Lekki-Epe International Airport project will be delivered as well since an MoU has already signed with the construction giant to alleviate congestion at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja, on the Lagos Mainland, and looking at the updated model design(s) of the new airport on the IG page of PPP Lagos, it's going to turn out as one of the most functional and aesthetically designed airports in the world and will definitely be rated in the top 20 airports worldwide. Get yourself updated. Period.
nlfp.mod: Nollywood actress, Chika Ike announces first pregnancy, shows off baby bump.
Sharing her maternity photoshoot, the actress wrote:
Recall that Chika Ike lost her pregnancy to alleged domestic violence while she was still married to her ex husband.
She was married to Tony Eberiri (between 2006–2013).
She's looking photogenic and pretty in the attached pictures. That how I like women to look when they go through their preggy stages right up to the third trimester. Pregnancies make some ladies to glow intensely, while some turn out looking bloated and grotesque like a large python that has swallowed an adult reindeer.
God1000: President Trump again reiterated his proposal for the United States to take over Gaza, telling reporters on Air Force One on Sunday that the strip of land was “a big real estate site” that the United States was “going to own.”
He also mentioned building “some beautiful sites for the people, the Palestinians, to live in.” The location of such sites was not clear. Mr. Trump has repeatedly suggested that the two million Palestinians from the enclave be relocated.
Mr. Trump’s comments added even more confusion around the proposal, which he first announced last week at a news conference at the White House alongside Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel.
The idea has drawn widespread international condemnation, with some critics likening it to ethnic cleansing. The forced deportation or transfer of a civilian population is a violation of international law and a war crime, according to experts.
Top officials in the Trump administration attempted to walk back the president’s comments on Wednesday, a day after he first announced the idea. They insisted President Trump had not committed to sending American troops to Gaza and that any relocation of Palestinians would be temporary.
On Sunday, as Mr. Trump was traveling to attend the Super Bowl in New Orleans, he raised the proposal again.
“Think of it as a big real estate site, and the United States is going to own it,” he said of Gaza, according to an audio recording from Air Force One that was shared with reporters.
“There won’t be anybody there,” Mr. Trump added. “Hamas won’t be there,” he said, referring to the militant group that led the assault on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, that touched off the war in Gaza. “We’ll be building through other of the very rich countries in the Middle East; they’ll be building some beautiful sites for the people, the Palestinians, to live in,” he said.
Mr. Netanyahu, at a government meeting in Israel on Sunday, praised Mr. Trump’s vision for the region following the war. “There are opportunities for possibilities that I think we never dreamed of, or at least a few months ago they did not seem possible — but they are possible,” he said.
“President Trump came with a completely different vision,” for the future of Gaza, Mr. Netanyahu said, “much better for the State of Israel, a revolutionary and creative vision, which we are discussing. He is very determined to carry it out.”
When Mr. Trump introduced the proposal at the White House last week, his administration had not done even the most basic planning to examine the feasibility of the idea, according to people with knowledge of the discussions. It would involve displacing two million Palestinians from Gaza; Mr. Trump suggested they should be relocated to countries like Egypt and Jordan, both of which swiftly rejected the idea.
At that news conference, Mr. Trump said that the United States would take over the Gaza Strip, “and we will do a job with it too.” He said the U.S. would be responsible for disposing of unexploded munitions and rebuilding Gaza, ultimately turning it into what he called, “the Riviera of the Middle East https://www.nytimes.com/2025/02/10/world/middleeast/trump-gaza-us-takeover.html?
With Trump in the mix, it's already getting to be a roller-coaster ride with these variegated suggestions.
It looks good on paper, but how's it gonna be practical in real life without bruising some Arab egos?... Moving 2 million residents of that bombed out "hell hole" called Gaza to beautiful new residential areas in say Jordan (which is in fact a Palestinian state but for Yasser Arafat and the PLO's past internal destabilizations of Jordan) and turn the space into a prime real estate location.
WINDHOEK, Feb 9 (Reuters) - Sam Nujoma , the activist and guerrilla leader who became Namibia's first democratically elected president after it won its independence from apartheid South Africa, died aged 95 on Saturday, the Namibian Presidency said on Sunday.
Nujoma rose to head the thinly populated southern African country on March 21, 1990 and was formally recognised as "Founding Father of the Namibian Nation" through a 2005 act of parliament.
The acclaim was balanced out by domestic and international criticism over his intolerance of critical media coverage, his railing against homosexuality and over the 1998 constitutional amendment that let him run for a third term.
He was a longtime ally of Zimbabwean strongman Robert Mugabe, backing Mugabe's land seizures from white farmers, though at home Nujoma stuck to a "willing buyer, willing seller" policy.
The foundations of the Republic of Namibia have been shaken," the presidency posted on X. "Our venerable leader, Dr. Nujoma did not only blaze the trail to freedom – but he also inspired us to rise to our feet and to become masters of this vast land of our ancestors." The presidency said Nujoma had been hospitalised for medical treatment over the past three weeks, adding: "Unfortunately, this time, the most gallant son of our land could not recover from his illness."
COMPLEX LEGACY
Nujoma served his three terms as president from 1990 to 2005 and sought to project himself as a unifying leader bridging political divides.
In a country scarred by the legacy of apartheid and German colonial rule, Nujoma's SWAPO party oversaw a national reconciliation programme under the motto "One Namibia, One Nation".
In his speeches, Nujoma made a point of repeating the phrase: "A united people, striving to achieve a common good for all members of the society, will always emerge victorious."
His achievements included establishing democratic institutions and prioritising reconciliation, said Ndumba Kamwanyah, a lecturer at the University of Namibia and a political analyst. But his autocratic tendencies, on display in his treatment of the media and brutal suppression of the 1999 Caprivi rebellion, cast a shadow over his legacy, Kamwanyah added. "While Nujoma's presidency was foundational in establishing Namibia's independence and governance, it was not without flaws," Kamwanyah said.
CAMPAIGNER AND GUERRILLA
Nujoma was born in a village in northwestern Namibia in 1929, when his country was under South African administration. South Africa had controlled Namibia since World War One after a brutal few decades of German colonial rule remembered for the genocide of the Herero and Nama people.
As a boy he looked after his family's cattle and attended a Finnish mission school, before moving to the coastal town of Walvis Bay and then the capital Windhoek, where he worked for South African Railways, according to a biography posted on the website of Nujoma's charitable foundation.
Nujoma left his job on the railways to focus his energies on bringing down the apartheid system.
In the late 1950s he became leader of the Owambo People's Organisation, a precursor to liberation movement SWAPO, organising resistance to the forced relocation of Black people in Windhoek that culminated in the police killing 12 unarmed people and wounding dozens more.
Nujoma was charged with organising the resistance and arrested. In 1960, he went into exile. He travelled across Africa before reaching the United States, where he petitioned the United Nations for Namibia's independence.
Made SWAPO leader in absentia, Nujoma established its armed wing and in 1966 launched a guerrilla war against the apartheid government.
It took more than a decade of pressure from Nujoma and others before a U.N. Security Council resolution in 1978 proposed a ceasefire and elections, and another decade for the ceasefire deal to be signed and elections held in late 1989.
SWAPO won a majority in those elections, and Nujoma took office in March the following year.
The great Sam Nujoma has taken on a higher state of vibration at the age of 95! "Iroko ti wo." It's the end of an era in African and international history. How can I ever forget the anti-White liberation movements such as SWAPO, ANC's militant wing and the chants of "Mkhonto Wesizwe!" or "Spear of the Nation, " and the liberation movement for decolonization from White rule in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) led by the lawyer, Robert Mugabe. All these made Southern Africa a hotbed for the brave resistance movement fighters. In all these, the Nigerian Federal Government was basking in the oil boom of the 1970s right into 1981, and a few years more when Nigeria was funding the liberation struggles in Southern African countries and offered scholarships into Nigerian schools from high school to university for especially Namibians, South Africans, etc.
I remember a young and rugged former fighter of Sam Nujoma's SWAPO from Namibia was given a Nigerian Federal scholarship to the school I attended back in Nigeria and he couldn't speak a drop of English. But a few years down the road before I left, he had become fluent in spoken English. Nigeria really gave assistance to those South African countries during the liberation movement years of which I'm proud of. The younger generation in those Southern African countries may NO fully grasp the essence of the assistance from Nigeria (and other friendly countries around the world), but the older folks such as former SA President Thabo Mbeki who schooled in Nigeria still remember these specifics.
Kailalomo: India officially confirmed that they do not support the formation of a BRICS currency to challenge the US dollar. The Modi government made it clear that India embraces the US dollar and will use the currency for cross-border transactions. The country will settle payments in local currencies with other developing nations only when it seems fit. The U-turn comes after Trump spared India from tariffs but imposed them on Canada, Mexico, and China.
BRICS member China might not take India’s stance lightly as the Communist country wants to launch the new currency. It is working closely with Russia and Iran for the formation of the currency to uproot the US dollar’s global dominance.
sulaak: A second airport makes perfect sense to support the Island economy and the free trade zone, Lekki Port, Eko Atlantic and Dangote Refinery. That is already a $100 billion economy. The Ikeja airport will support the mainland. The new port is a PPP project, and the Lagos state government is providing land and political support.
I wish the Cross River State government continued Donald Duke's good work with Tinapa and transformed the state into a technology and tourist hub.
Succinctly stated.
You indeed have a full grasp of what's going on in the Lagos State mega infrastructural ecosystem (unlike that person you quoted who simply has a pedestrian knowledge of events NOT realizing there's a PPP arrangement in place for these projects) of which Lagos State is capable of repaying whatever loans it gets based off of medium to long-term cash flows, and most of all, the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu worked with a top investment bank where he rose to the senior position of a Treasurer before joining the political space as a technocrat.
The Tinapa Resort project didn't pan out right because the former Governors after Donald didn't follow through and Cross Rivers also lost its status back in the 2000s as a major oil and gas producer with the loss of Bakassi Peninsula and the Supreme Court ordered major oil wells to be transferred to Akwa Ibom State (which also benefitted from oil wells transfered from Rivers State as well due to boundary adjustments at the same time). Cross Rivers never fully recovered from those major crude oil well loses to Akwa Ibom since then. I remember that the British-born, Mo Abudu (Modupe Abudu) moved her media production outfit to the Tinapa Resort in Calabar but as of today, she's fully back in Lagos with her multimillion USD entertainment empire. There's NO doubt, international tourism and internal tourism, including a strong focus on different aspects of agribusiness (since Cross River State has the second largest land mass in the South of Nigeria after Oyo State), newer rural and urban road infrastructure, and value addition of commodies for the local markets and export would trigger the economic prowess of Cross Rivers State in the absence of crude oil and gas deposits.
AImiron: New Delhi, CNN — US officials kept around 100 deported Indian migrants in shackles for their 40-hour flight home, including during bathroom breaks, in the latest incident to spark anger overseas at President Donald Trump’s migration crackdown.
Indian lawmakers demonstrated outside parliament on Thursday, some wearing shackles and others mocking the much-touted friendship between Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Elsewhere in New Delhi, members of the youth wing of India’s main opposition party burned an effigy of Trump.
Last month, the spectacle of Colombian deportees being shackled as they boarded a US deportation flight sparked a bitter dispute between the two countries, with Colombian president Gustavo Petro initially refusing the military plane permission to land.
The anger in India comes days ahead of an expected visit by Modi to meet Trump – whom he has called a “true friend” – at the White House.
S. Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, a government minister in the western state of Punjab, where the deportation flight landed, urged Modi to “now use his friendship to resolve the issue.”
Dhaliwal also questioned “the usefulness of this friendship if it cannot help Indian citizens in need,” his office said in a statement. The flight to India was the longest in distance since the Trump administration began deploying military aircraft for migrant deportations, according to a US official.
“Our hands were cuffed and ankles tied with chains before we took the flight,” said 23-year-old Akashdeep Singh, who arrived in Punjab on Wednesday with 103 other deportees.
“We requested the military officials to take it off to eat or go to the bathroom but they treated us horribly and without any regard whatsoever,” Singh added.
“The way they looked at us, I’ll never forget it… We went to the bathroom with the shackles on. Right before landing, they removed (the shackles) for the women. We saw it. For us, they were removed after we landed by the local police officials.”
US Border Patrol Chief Michael W. Banks posted a video of the Indian deportees being put onto a plane on X. In the video, shackles are seen on the wrists and ankles of several men who shuffle slowly up the ramp.
CNN has reached out to the Pentagon and US Customs and Border Protection for comment on whether the deportees were held in shackles for the duration of the flight.
‘Better life, better future’ Deportee Sukhpal Singh, 35, also said the shackles were kept on throughout the flight, including during a refueling stopover on the Pacific island of Guam.
“They treated us like criminals,” he said. “If we would try to stand because our legs were swelling due to the handcuffs they would yell at us to sit down.”
Young Indians looking for work opportunities have made up a sizeable portion of undocumented migrants in the US, many after making the dangerous trek through Latin America to reach the US southern border.
Many say they see no future at home where a jobs crisis is stifling young hopes in the world’s most populous country.
In just four years, the number of Indian citizens entering the US illegally has surged dramatically — from 8,027 in the 2018-19 fiscal year to 96,917 during 2022-23, government data showed.
Families have previously told CNN how they sold off land to raise the tens of thousands of dollars charged by “travel agents” to take migrants on the risky journey to the US.
“I had gone for work, for better life, for a better future,” said Sukhpal Singh, who has a son and daughter and hoped to better provide for them by getting a job in the US.
“You see it in movies and you hear from people around you that there’s work there and people are successful there so that’s why I also wanted to go.”
A 40-hour air flight in shackles from the United States to India!
That's nearly 2 days just short of 8 hours. Tbh, they had to be shackled for safety reasons based off of past attacks on security personnel on deportation flights.
AImiron: Heritage Foundation alleging that he may have concealed past illegal drug use that should have disqualified him from obtaining a US visa.
But the president told The New York Post Friday that he isn’t interested in throwing Harry out of the country.
“I don’t want to do that,” he said. “I’ll leave him alone. He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible.”
Trump took the opportunity to praise Harry’s estranged older brother William, with whom he met privately in Paris in December during the reopening ceremony of Notre-Dame Cathedral.
“I think William is a great young man,” he said.
The Duke of Sussex and his liberal American wife Meghan Markle have voiced disapproval of Trump over the years, including one outburst in which the Duchess called the president “divisive” and “misogynistic”.
Trump in turn has described Harry as “whipped” by Markle. “I think poor Harry is being led around by the nose.”
Heritage cited Harry’s autobiography “Spare” — in which he admitted to using cocaine, cannabis and psychedelics — when it sued the Department of Homeland Security last year to force the release of his US visa records.
“Anyone who applies to the United States has to be truthful on their application, and it is not clear that is the case with Prince Harry,” Heritage’s Nile Gardiner told the London Daily Telegraph.
The conservative think tank suggests Harry was given preferential treatment by the Biden administration after he and Meghan moved to California in 2020 following their acrimonious “Megxit” split from the royal family. Source: AOL
"Whipped?"... “I think poor Harry is being led around by the nose.”
Whoa! This dude certainly takes NO prisoners while having convos. Trump gets multiple brake failures on the regular. Lol

Several highly imbecilic and inciting comments came out of this secessionist guy's rancid mouth tbh.
The Nigerian judiciary should have concluded his court case [in the light of massive evidence from this audio recording ABOVE and the DAMNING 2022 undercover investigative documentary video right BELOW by the "BBC Global Disinformation Team" exposing the criminal activities, mass murders (through beheadings and gunfires), and organized online disinformation by ipob male and female members spread in Europe, North America, South Africa, Nigeria, etc], against this guy and many of his subordinates and sponsors based around the world. The Nigerian Judiciary a major problem when it comes to dispensing justice as judgements can be very slow due to needless adjournments.

Ipob: Biafra 'media warriors' call for killings on social media - BBC Africa
Cc: @aswani Good morning to you. I've just seen and read your latest mention. Here's the video from the "BBC Global Disinformation Team" investigative video which CLEARLY exposed that insidious secessionist group and the paid online troll farms they recruited (they were given free laptops, free data, and free mobile phones) to spread fake news and toxic hate speech in order to trigger ethnic violence among Nigerians right above. You can copy the video link into SaveFrom.net so that it can be saved on your computer for viewing again and again.
OgaFactCheck: Odu to da iwa. 'Odu' relates to a verse in the Ifa (oracle) tradition just like the verses in the Holy Bible or AlQurian (e.g. Pslam 93 Or Suratul quraysh). 'iwa' literally means behaviour (or good behavior). 'to da' means to create or cause to exist. It is possible that 'Iwa' in this context, may be a name (Epitome of good behavior or well-behaved) just like 'Ola'- wealth or that signifies wealth. I am not an authority on this. 'Iwa' may also be a code of behaviour (code of conduct) expected from the people (collective) or that defines a certain people just like the constitution. I suspect that this last one is the case. The reason is that Iwa in the individual context (a person named Iwa) does not align with the Yoruba mythology which sees Oduduwa (name of Yoruba progenitor) as the first human creature and Ile-Ife as the Origin of all places (ibi Ojumo ti nmowa).
My take is that Oduduwa or Odu to da Iwa means the verse or within which information about creation is domiciled. This appears plausible given that the Yorubas then believed that it is only ile Ife that existed. The custodian of that verse would likely be the first in that settlement or the one highly reverred by the first in the settlement. It is not unusual for people to be eventually be known by a certain things that stands out about them. Given that records were preserved by Oral tradition rather than in writing, it will be difficult to separate the verse from the custodian. For instance, a lawyer may be called 'the law'. People may even forget their original name. As for those who think the name (Oduduwa) is not Yoruba or have no roots in Yoruba tradition, I think it is actually a Yoruba word.
Update: Someone said up there that 'Iwa' means to be or to exist. I think that is more accurate and depicts what the word means than my own submission. However, it doesn't fault the core of my argument.
Let me revise my argument. Odu(verse) du(to da) Iwa (existence). The verse that contains information about existence. Apart from the amendment, I consider all other arguments that I put forward as plausible. Being plausible does not imply being factual.
Islie: Chairman Of Ondo State Radio Station, Breeze FM Brutalises Female Staff For Tendering Resignation Letter
Tokunbo allegedly withdrew his shoe and struck the lady in the head before unleashing a barrage of blows on her
Mr Tokunbo Opebi, the acting chairman of an Akure-based radio station Breeze 91.9 FM, has been accused of beating and assaulting a former member of staff of the station Mercy Okafor for tendering his resignation letter.
It was learnt that the incident which took place on Tuesday at the premises of the station located along Ijoka Road in Akure has further exposed the abusive nature of some media owners in Nigeria.
Source privy to the incident mentioned that Okafor joined the station as a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) corps member but was offered employment by the station after she completed her service.
“Mercy Okafor is a bundle of talent. She is Igbo but she has a Bachelor’s degree in Yoruba language. I heard her mum is from Ile-Ife; her versatility and her command of Yoruba Language attracted people to her. They begged her to stay after her service.” the source said.
According to the source, when the station's accountant, Bisola Agbayewa, gave birth and went on maternity leave, Okafor was asked to fill in for her, which she did admirably.
When the leave expired, the accountant did not return and instead resigned, so Okafor became both an accountant and an OAP at the station.
"Breeze 91.9 FM has the worst payment package of any radio station in Akure, Ondo State's capital," the source claimed.
Up to 2024, some OAP earn as little as 25,000 Naira per month, while temporary workers are paid as little as 10,000 Naira, in direct violation of Nigerian labour rules and the Minimum Wage Act.
These payments are not made on time or as scheduled. According to a credible source, some of the workers had not received full payment for the month of December as of February 5th, 2025.
According to the source, Okafor submitted her resignation letter and notified the station's management of her plan to leave the organisation. When she finally turned in the company's data, all hell broke loose.
The chairman reportedly told her she should have stayed until the station found a replacement, but she told him she had already given the station notice, which they had ignored.
Infuriated by her courage, Tokunbo allegedly withdrew his shoe and struck the lady in the head before unleashing a barrage of blows on her.
“It took the Intervention of Bimpa Dele-Mogaji and Joyin Johnson to free Okafor from the hands of Tokunbo who was throwing punches at the young lady,” the source said.
“Tokunbo is responsible for almost all the woes that have happened to that station. If you stay you won’t get paid regularly, if you leave you might get arrested on trumped up allegations. Who has he not arrested and detained, from former engineer to marketer to OAP?" he lamented.
“If you honourably tendered your resignation letter before the end of the month you will never get the salary for that month or any other outstanding pay."
Mercy Ekene Okafor who is the victim of the recent physical assault has reportedly received treatments for internal injuries sustained from the assault.
Her mother and some relatives came to Akure on Thursday to take her home to Ile-Ife for treatment.
“No allegation of financial misappropriation was brought against her, Tokunbo simply said he beat her up like that because he didn’t like the tone with which she responded to him," the source said.
Attempts made to reach the general manager of the station Sunday Ajongbolo and the acting chairman were unsuccessful.
She read Yoruba for her First Degree and took care of the radio station's accounting when the accountant went on leave (and did NOT return). That's revealing enough.
If it's true that the OAPs and other members of staff weren't earning enough up to December 2024 right into 2025, why did they stay so long? (or even accept the initial pittance in the first place). Very successful radio stations worldwide have social media platforms fully integrated into their broadcasting facilities and they use their online broadcasts and podcasts to generate traffic for listener engagements and to generate paid-for adverts targeted towards a mass market audience. Any traditional radio station that doesn't integrate these ICT features will go south very fast and end up owing huge mounds of staff salaries! Period.
President2031: You’re just confused. You’re not sure if he visited Ikwerre people. Lol
What brought him to Ikwerre land?
He made it clear that one of the reason for his visit to Port harcourt (Ikwerre land) was to strengthen the close relationship and affinity of the Ikwerre and Benin people.
He said, history has it that the Ikwerre people, Ekpeye (Ahoada) and Ogba (Omoku) People trace their ancestry to Benin.
Watch the video below and listen to the Oba himself.
I don’t know how some of you think like you don’t have brain.
This is a legit news update and you can see the link to the full story below from premiumTimes!
This post is not to cause tribal war on this forum but to educate Nigerians and also discourage those who find interest in heating up tribal conflict on this forum with false claims.
It is widely known on this forum that the Ikwerre People of Rivers state claims they are originally from Benin and not Igbo and this has caused series of arguments on this platform.
As an Ikwerre man, I and other sons and daughters of Ikwerre ethnic nationality are very happy with the visit of the Oba of Benin to Ikwerre land (Port harcourt) yesterday Tuesday 14/01/2020 because he did put an end to this Ikwerre-Igbo argument.
The Oba made it clear in his statement in Rivers state government house that the Ikwerre people are from Benin. Please read!
The Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare said his visit to Port Harcourt was in line with the tradition established by his late father.
“Following the footsteps of my father who came on a thank you tour after his coronation, we recall with nostalgia my father’s public service in Ahoada many years ago. Port Harcourt, and Rivers State is indeed a second home.
The Oba of Benin said his visit was aimed at strengthening friendly and close relationships between the people.
“I am here to strengthen the friendly relationship and close affinity of our people. History has it that some of the tribes here trace their ancestry to Benin. These include the Ikwerres, the people of Ahoada and Omoku,’’ he said.
Kreesxxx: Bros thanks for all these concerns. Nigerians can now see what Ikwerre people passed through when Igbos were in charge of Eastern Nigeria. Our communities names were all changed. I have always told them to produce an evidence of a document written Ngwa Igbo, Nkwerre Igbo, Mbaise Igbo. But any documents you see Ikwerre name before the war must appear Ikwerre Igbo. They must attach Igbo to it. The funny thing is that they sent delegates to sit and hear out our meetings agenda. And all meetings must be done in Igbo language. It was a taboo to speak Ikwerre to the hearing of an Igbo man before the war. See Igbos thought we have forgotten. They are reminding the Ikwerres and other Niger Delta communities their atrocities before and during the war. My uncle dug his own grave himself and was buried alive before the community people. He was used to set an example of what would befall anyone who sabotaged Biafra.
My goodness! Accept my sympathies about what happened to your uncle. I have some links below that partly corroborate what you as an Ikwerre man have said. The British Colonialism is CLEARLY to blame for allowing the ethnic domination and what happened (which you detailed above) in the Old Eastern Region to occur just like they empowered the minority Fulanis in the Old Northern Region to dominate other ethnic groups in the North. The Southern Cameroonians too bluntly stated that the reason why they were leaving Nigeria for Cameroon is 1963 was because of this same Igbo domination. If everyone is talking about your VERY BAD character for decades, it means something is wrong and you have to FIX your image if you have common sense! I once lived in PH and worked in a multinational oil and gas company in PH back in the 1990s right into the 2000s before leaving PH. All the Ikwerre folks I knew bluntly denied being Igbos but from what Mbata, Okwukwu and Rotimi Amaechi (he is married to an Anambra woman) are saying, it's obvious that some Ikwerres have paternal roots from outside Ikwerre who later settled in Ikwerreland such as the Aros (who were involved alongside their close allies, the Abams and Ohafias in capturing and selling Igbo slaves from the interior to the Ijaw middlemen who then sold to the White slave buyers in places such as Bonny Island, Kalabari, and other slave exit ports, etc). The exact place where Arochukwu is today is actually Ibibioland and the war of 1690s to the 1720s led to the Igbo elements gaining control and eventually adopted a lot of Ibibio loan words, religion, culture, food, and dressing in their ways till date! This is why I have concerns for the events going on in Ikwerreland and Rivers State. Aside from some negatives that took place in the past such as kidnappings and militancy, Rivers people are naturally good people and I have friends from among the Okrikas and Ikwerres and I never forget Rivers. If Rivers folks are bad people, I won't be concerned about their welfare till date.
A young Ikwerre guy created some threads in 2016 which you can read on Elechi Amadi and how Ogbakor Ikwerre Worldwide was created in 1963 with Ikwerre ethnic nationality being affirmed before the Civil War of July 1967 to January 1970, so, it's a lie that the Igbo-denial was because of the loss of the Nigerian Civil War. I will keep you informed on any new developments I get on this issue.
Kreesxxx: Thanks for this. The Igbos hate us because we the Ikwerres were the first to let other Nigerians know about their cruelty and slyness.
My pleasure.
Indeed... The insolence from these highly pathetic lots among the Igbos has to be stopped henceforth. If not, the ipob Igbos and their backers inside and outside Ohaneze are planning mass genocide against Ikwerre people who deny being Igbo. I've seen videos online of young ipob Igbo threatening to send Ikwerres back to Benin when they forcefully get the so-called biafra. These criminals and expansionists haven't learned anything from the events of the 30 months Nigerian Civil War. It took the 3rd Marine Commando Division of the Nigerian Army led by Benjamin Adekunle and other gallant officers and troops from Tivland in Benue, Yorubaland, Edo, Ijaw, and other parts of the Niger Delta to liberate Calabar, Bonny Island, Port Harcourt and other parts of Ikwerreland from the secessionists. Even Elechi Amadi the famous Ikwerre Nigerian Army officer and Civil War veteran was rescued from prison by Federal troops in 1968.
In January 2025, I saw that NnaMehn's video interview with the lawyer called Okwukwu who contested for the Ohaneze PG under the Ikwerre banner, and Okwukwu was actually making direct threatening comments (about the Ikwerres and Ogbakor Ikwerre Worldwide members who affirm they are NOT Ibos). He sounded like a cold-blooded killer in that video and said Ikwerreland is the direct Igbo link to the sea in that interview while he threatened that Igbos will deal with anything that stands in the way. The Federal Government in Nigeria, the Intelligence Agencies and Rivers State government must pick this crazy man and others up for prosecution in court to avoid a genocide against Ikwerres. I have analyzed the threat videos from a security standpoint and these guys are not joking.
You can read my original post that you quoted again. I added more videos as proof and also there's a strong message from Ogbakor Ikwerre Youth Wing in the videos attached.

IGBOS ARE CONFUSED WATCH THEM DISPLAYING THEIR FOOLISHNESS ONLINE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvhogRRhy0w?si=Gpv1MFf0O5Ti6bGe BITTER TRUTH · Jan 29 2025 The first of five scenes in the video above shows an Igbo guy delusionally claiming to a South African (without one shread of evidence) that the Zulus of South Africa descended from Igbos... and another idiot said FALSELY that America is an Igbo name. This is the height of gross illiteracy and delusion among a section of Igbos.
beerfraud: Operatives of the Anambra State security outfit, Agunechemba, have arrested and detained popular native doctor Chidozie Nwangwu, widely known as Akwa Okuko Tiwaraki.
The flamboyant spiritualist, known for his ostentatious lifestyle on social media, has been notably silent since the launch of Agunechemba.
His online fame stemmed from his controversial promotion of Oke Ite—a money ritual he claimed could bestow limitless wealth, attracting a large following, particularly among young people.
The news of his arrest was first posted on the official Anambra State X handle (formerly Twitter) on Saturday. The post read: “Akwa Okuko Tiwaraki n’Oba denies Oke Ite and has been detained for further investigation by the security agency.”
According to sources, security operatives picked him up at his base in Oba, Idemili South LGA, on Saturday evening and swiftly took him to the office of the Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyeka Ibezim, for interrogation.
A circulating video captures the moment the deputy governor questioned him. During the session, Akwa Okuko denied involvement in Oke Ite, stating:
“I have long stopped doing ‘Oke Ite’. That thing is not a charm. We just gave it the name ‘Oke Ite’ because we put it in a pot. In Igbo language, ‘Oke Ite’ means big pot.”
In the same video, Ibezim referenced sections of the newly passed Anambra Homeland Security Law, emphasising the need for evidence to substantiate Akwa Okuko’s claims. Addressing the security operatives present, he declared: “Guys, you have heard him. We need to take him to where he does these things. We will investigate him, and of course, we need to know where he does these things. If he cannot prove it, he will have to go in for it.”
This arrest comes nearly a year after Akwa Okuko was kidnapped in July 2023.
“I have long stopped doing ‘Oke Ite’. That thing is not a charm. We just gave it the name ‘Oke Ite’ because we put it in a pot. In Igbo language, ‘Oke Ite’ means big pot.”
I'm just seeing this model design of the Lekki-Epe International International Airport you attached to your post. It's aethetically well designed, but it further affirms what I posted on this thread a few minutes ago about seeing in recent times many different model designs of the Lekki-Epe International Airport online and in videos. The whole thing is just befuddling or messes with the mind.
Can these folks just stick to one VERY functional, aethetically futuristic design and get the job done in record time? There's absolutely NO time to waste in the grand scheme of things. I appreciate the Lagos State Governor and his team though for getting to sign the MoU as of now, so that we can start flying into the airport (and out) in record time.
yoruboid: The best and most beautiful airport in subsaharan Africa
In no time it will be the busiest in Africa
God bless Yorubaland
@Yoruboid,
Is that the official FINAL design of the Lekki-Epe airport? If it is, then that's gonna be a brilliant, streamlined work of architecture. I've seen different model designs of the proposed Lekki-Epe International Airport of recent online, so, I hope the model design you attached to your post is the one to be used OR even better for the sake of "functionality" and more. The images of the Airport in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State is by far the most beautiful from Nigeria as of now.
The Lekki-Epe International Airport can latter be renamed after folks such as the iconic nationalist, Chief Jeremiah Obafemi Awolowo, GCFR, SAN, or the former Governor of Lagos State, Sir Michael Otedola who is originally an indigene of Epe. Both men are of course of Ijebu descent.
"Obafemi Awolowo International Airport, Lekki-Epe, Lagos State."
OR
"Michael Otedola International Airport, Lekki-Epe, Lagos State."
idealogical: We signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the internationally acclaimed construction company, Summa Group, to develop and construct the much awaited Lekki-Epe International Airport.
This groundbreaking initiative is an essential part of our vision to improve connectivity in Lagos, stimulate economic growth, and draw in global investments.
The Lekki-Epe International Airport will facilitate travel and create new opportunities for businesses and residents throughout the state.
Get this iconic international airport construction started (alongside the 4th Mainland Bridge linking Ikorodu directly with the Lekki Peninsula). There's not much time left to waste for medium to long-term planning along that axis.
Kudos to Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu (who's a top investment banker) and his team for getting things up to this stage though.
Aside from the Ikorodu-born, Lagos State indigene, Mrs. Folorunso Alakija, is this top 5 list certified by Forbes and Bloomberg?
If you're NOT on the Forbes and Bloomberg lists of globally certified USD multimillionaires and billionaires, then NOBODY has a right to that designation as all networths are rated in USD.
NO doubt, I'm aware of those 5 women and their prior experiences in business, but I want more clarity as to whether the last 4 out of the 5 women are Forbes-listed USD multimilionaires.
Kreesxxx: Anyone who says this is who they are you have not right to Quest them neither do you have the right to claim a territory that has nothing to do with yours just because Aworis accepted to be Yorubas. Bros Igbo killed us in thousand during the war because they knew we are not Igbo. Make una leave Ikwerre alone. Even if they agreed to be Igbos don't accept them. The disdain the ikwerres have where the Igbos are is something out of this world.
The highly misleading post that fool you quoted wrote about the Aworis of Lagos and Ogun States is FALSE! The Awori people's direct male ancestor, Olofin Ogunfunminire was an Ile Ife Prince and son of Oduduwa who migrated under the instructions of Ifa divination into what is now Iddo Island in modern Lagos State from Ufe (Ife) over 800 years ago, and he was guided by Ifa divination with the "Awo" or sacrificial plate he carried with him, hence the AWORI etymology, "Awo ti ri" meaning "the sacrificial plate has sank." The name "Awori" emphases the "sinking into the water" of the Awo. From Iddo Island, his descendants spread into Eko Island or Lagos Island and other parts of Lagos Mainland after sharing the lands among his children.
Just In: How Ooni Of Ife Hosts Awori People At Ife, Celebrates Olofin Ogunfunminire
That insidious moniker (who is a well-known Igbo) had earlier opened an NL thread on this same fabricated Awori origin of his and he was corrected and told to desist from spreading fake information online yet he has persisted in bringing it up again. There is NO doubt that "a highly fatalistic and criminally satanic subset" is operating among the Igbos with the aim of triggering hatred towards the Igbos as a tool of victim hood and propaganda. What he FALSELY wrote claiming that Awori-Yorubas are not Yorubas is a declaration of WAR by these vocal criminal subset of Igbos who are online deliberately falsifying the histories of many ethnic groups in Nigeria. The young generation of ipob Igbos have really offended many Nigerians of different ethnic groups as I type this and I have seen many latest reaction videos from Ibibios, Binis, Esans, Ikwerres, Yorubas, Urhobos, Itsekiris, Ijaws, and more vehemently expressing anger about the inclusion of their ancestral homelands in an illegal biafra map without consultations and vowed to deal with the Igbo aggression. These young Igbos don't seem to realize what they have triggered with their sick expansionist agenda and deliberately writing forgeries of other ethnic groups' ancestral histories online has created a negative perception of igbos in the minds of others. I discovered the video right BELOW in my timeline today.
IKWERRE IS A RECOGNIZED ETHNICITY IN NIGERIA [OGBAKOR IKWERRE YOUTH WING]
"WE ARE NOT IGBO, IKWERRE IS A RECOGNIZED ETHNICITY IN NIGERIA"
The Aworis are full-blooded Yorubas and they are indigenous to 17 out of the 20 LGAs in Lagos State and Aworis are indigenous to Ogun State as well. The Ijebus are indigenous to Ogun and Lagos States as well and in Lagos State, Ijebu occupy 3 LGAs of Ikorodu, Epe, Ibeju-Lekki, and Ajah on the Lekki Peninsula. The Ogus (formerly called Egun) are indigenous to Badagry LGA alongside the Awori-Yorubas and they are ancestrally related to the Yorubas as a result of the ancestral fusion between the Yoruba and Fon people which gave rise to Ogu people. The Fon also evolved from a fusion of Yoruba (Oyo Empire bloodlines) and the Aja people in Benin Republic/Togo axis centuries back.
This is the reason why the Oba of Ajase (Porto Novo) told the ace veteran filmmaker Tunde Kelani in his documentary which is online that his people welcomed the Ogus to live in their midst centuries back because they are relatives. Ajase is the original Yoruba name for the Yoruba city of Porto Novo in Benin Republic.
I will be making contacts with my network in the intelligence community to get these online bullies and semi-literate people online taken down because they have been relentlessly posting highly inciting and threatening messages using different online platforms including NL, FB, YouTube, X, etc, and these are synonymous with typical ipob Igbo propaganda. ~~~~~~~~ See The In And Out Of The Billionaire Naira Resort Ooni Of Ife Built In Ife.
seunmsg: Oluomo became popular as an Obidient and a Peter Obi supporter. He never identified with the Yoruba people or Yoruba interest. Now that he has been confined to be a thief, he must remain an Obidient thief. You can’t start linking him to Yoruba people now that he’s in trouble when you never did that before.
Olelomo is an Obidient thief and he shall remain so.
aariwa: Yorubas are very good in entertainment, sports, music etc but I noticed they are not good administratively when it comes to money management which I am sorry to say but that has been my observation over the years
Your last bolded statement is an insult based off of your limited observations! How many of the over 70 million folks of Yoruba descent worldwide do you know personally? Some of the BEST administrators, international investors, international business people, and financial specialists in the world in different designations and job descriptions from top investment bankers, to top consulting firms, to other big and small businesses are of Yoruba descent. There are indeed people from all countries who individually fail in managing businesses or have bad money management skills due to different variables such as lack of continuous education, but it's unwise and highly insulting for you to post here that Yorubas (who are well over 70 million worldwide) have "bad money management skills."
I'm aware that even in Nigeria, Yoruba folks have one of the highest numbers of qualified Chartered Accountants and Fellows of the accounting profession. The Nigerian-American Forbes-listed billionaire 'Bayo Ogunlesi for instance is NO doubt one of the BEST global investment bankers and lawyers out there. As of this moment, 3 Nigerian-American men who are all of Yoruba descent are on the Forbes list of legit USD billionaires, while Mike Adenuga and 'Femi Otedola are the other 2 Nigerian citizens of Yoruba descent who are on the current Forbes list of USD billionaires making a total of 5 Yorubas on the Forbes list of USD billionaires as of February 2025! Otunba Mike Adenuga, 'Femi Otedola, 'Bayo Ogunlesi, 'Tope Awotona the founder of Calendly, Wemimo Abbey who is the co-founder and CEO, of Esusu, and Mrs Folorunso Alakija making a total of 6 Yorubas.
So, when you add the Ikorodu-born, Lagos State indigene (from the wealthy Ogbara family of Ikorodu), Mrs. Folorunso Alakija to the mix, you'll have an all-time high of 6 Yorubas worldwide who have ever been listed on the Forbes list of USD billionaires (aside from the other 2 Kano-born Forbes-listed USD billionaires, Aliko Dangote and Abdulsamad Isiaku Rabiu). The billionaire Abdulsamad Isiaku Rabiu's direct paternal lineage is of Borno State ethnic Kanuri descent who migrated to Kano for Quaranic knowledge, while Aliko Dangote's wealthy maternal Dantata family is descended from the 1700s to 1800s long-distance trading Agalawa (Tuareg) families from Niger Republic. There are many descendants of settlers who are NOT indigenous Hausas claiming to be from Kano today, when in FACT they are NOT originally from Kano. Historically, Kano served as the main commercial city in the North of Nigeria for the trans-Saharan trade in commodities and export of enslaved people centuries ago right until the British Colonial rule started in the North in the late 1890s.
chopnaira: The President of the Nigerian community in the United Kingdom on Twitter (X), Mr Benjamin Kuti, aka Oluomo of Derby, has decided to step down from his role as the leader of the community.
The social media group is made up of over 75,000 Nigerians many of whom are in different parts of the UK and sometimes hold offline meetings and celebrations.
Oluomo of Derby quit as the president of the community after a barrage of criticisms from members following the running of the group and handling of finances.
Aside from Kuti, other group leaders also revealed their intentions to step down from their posts.
Among those who were affected were DHK Rullah
Oluomo of Derby, who founded the group, and other leaders wrote on Thursday about the decisions to tender their resignations via their respective X pages.
Mr Kuti, in his post, said he would be glad to hand over to the next elected leader, adding that he took responsibility for all that went down in the community.
“I take full responsibility for the turn of events over the years, and the current unsettling state of the community,” he wrote. “I will be stepping down as a moderator and all posts made with the official handle will be at the approval of the NEB.”
“I regret my lack of absolute accountability and transparency to the community and to this end, I have carefully thought the following decisions through in the interest of furthering our community’s goals.”
He added, “I am happy to hand over the presidency of the community to the next elected President at the chosen time of the community to conduct its elections. However, as the founder of the community, will remain a PSC of the company.”
Also, Ayinde said he had resigned from his position as a volunteer consultant.
He added, “The executives/directors are responsible for preparing the financial statements that give a true and fair view of the state of affairs and activities of the company/community.
TruthU87: Donald Trump imposes sanctions on South Africa over its land policy and its genocide case against Israel at the International Court of Justice.
WASHINGTON, Feb 7 (Reuters) - President Donald Trump signed an executive order to cut U.S. financial assistance to South Africa, the White House said on Friday, citing disapproval of its land policy and of its genocide case at the International Court of Justice against Washington's ally Israel. The United States allocated nearly $440 million in assistance to South Africa in 2023, the most recent U.S. government data shows. The White House said Washington will also formulate a plan to resettle white South African farmers and their families as refugees.
It said U.S. officials will take steps to prioritize humanitarian relief, including admission and resettlement through the United States Refugee Admissions Program for Afrikaners in South Africa, who are mostly white descendants of early Dutch and French settlers.
Trump has said, without citing evidence, that "South Africa is confiscating land" and that "certain classes of people" were treated "very badly." South African-born billionaire Elon Musk, who is close to Trump, has said that white South Africans have been the victims of "racist ownership laws."
Washington has also complained about the case brought by South Africa at the International Court of Justice, where it accused Israel of genocide over Israel's military assault on Gaza that has killed tens of thousands and caused a humanitarian crisis.
RealGandalf: The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has called for the death penalty for individuals involved in drug peddling, especially those responsible for producing and selling fake or substandard medicines.
The Director-General of NAFDAC, Mojisola Adeyeye, made this demand on Friday while speaking on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief. She argued that only severe punishments would deter offenders, particularly when their actions lead to fatalities, especially among children.
Fake Drugs Are Silent Killers
Adeyeye recounted an incident where a children’s medicine was sold at N13,000 by one vendor but at N3,000 by another. When the cheaper version was tested at NAFDAC’s Kaduna laboratory, it was found to contain no active ingredients.
Expressing her frustration, she declared:
Weak Penalties Encouraging Drug Crimes
The NAFDAC boss also criticized lenient punishments for drug-related offenses. She cited an example where a trafficker was caught with 225mg of Tramadol, a dose capable of causing death or brain damage, yet only faced a five-year prison sentence or a fine of N250,000.
She argued that such mild penalties are ineffective deterrents, as offenders can easily afford the fines.
“Who doesn’t know that a person can simply withdraw N250,000 from an ATM? That is part of our problem — there are no strict measures to stop offenders from repeating the same crime,” she lamented.
NAFDAC Seeks Legislative and Judicial Backing
Adeyeye stressed that the fight against substandard and falsified medicines requires the cooperation of the judiciary and the National Assembly. She revealed that NAFDAC is currently working with lawmakers to push for stricter laws and stiffer penalties for offenders.
“If our laws are not strong enough or the judiciary is not firm in its stance, we will continue to face this challenge. If you kill a child with bad medicine, you deserve to die.”
The proposal has sparked debates on the appropriate punishment for drug peddlers, with some supporting harsh penalties to curb the menace, while others argue for reform-based approaches.
