RomanceRe: 10 Ways To Know If A Girl Is Into “hookup” Business by Konquest: 4:31pm On Nov 23, 2024
allsaint2000:
Hookup refers to casual sex or uncommitted and consensual sexual encounters, usually done for financial gains.

To put it plainly, hookup is just a fancy word for prostitution.

Typically, there is an agreement between the parties involved on what the expectation of the arrangement is and the responsibility of each party.

Hookup has become a fast spreading culture in Nigeria that has been especially aided by technology. These technologies ranges from the plethora of hookup or “dating” apps, e-hailing cab services, online hotel booking, etc.

https://jojonaija.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/hookup-30.jpg

In recent times, an incredible amount of women ( single and married) have been indulging in this trend either openly or discreetly. While economic reasons are attributed by some for their involment in this trend, a good number do it to finance their craving for a luxurious lifestyle.

In this article, we highlight ten signs to shows that a girl is into the hookup business.

She stays out all night

A woman always staying out all night is an unmistakable sign that she is into the hookup business. Of course, the exception is if she has a job that requires her to work nightshift.

Church vigil is also an exception. However, don’t be fooled! Some use church vigils as an excuse to leave the house at night. They actually might have a skimpy dress and make-up kit concealed in their handbags!

She has “Dating” apps on their phones

https://jojonaija.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/dating-apps-10.jpg

The rise in popularity of dating and “Hookup” apps is one factor that has significantly boosted the hookup trend.

Some popular apps that are used for hookup include Tinder, OkCupid, Bumble, Badoo, Olosho, Bingdum, Zoosk, SnapChat, EverMatch, Ablo, SweetMeet, OnlyFan, CodedRuns, etc.

These apps or sites are platforms for finding partners for hookup activities. Finding a partner on them is as easy as swiping right on a profile photo. This has made the trend increasingly popular as a huge number of hookup females are registered on these platforms either openly or discretly.

Therefore, If you find any of these apps on a girl's phone, chances are high that she is into hookup.

She gets a call, dresses up in a hurry, and leaves the house

One good sign that a girl is into hookup is when she gets a call, and then proceeds to dress up in a hurry and then leaves the house.

When a randy fellow discovers a girl that he likes on a hookup app, he then contacts her. After terms and conditions have been agreed upon, this often prompts the girl to up and leave the house in a hurry.

The need for haste is often so that the clients does not change his mind – or connect with some other hookup girl.

That’s right – when you notice a girl scurry out of the house, especially in a provocative attire, and straight into a waiting Uber, she is likely off to a hookup venue.

She often posts pictures of hotel rooms on her status

https://jojonaija.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/hotel-room-selfie-5.jpg

After the hookup business has been concluded in a hotel, guesthouse, or serviced apartment, the client – especially the married ones – would depart to their homes, leaving the girl in the hotel room.

This period affords her the opportunity to take as much selfies as possible in the beautiful ambience that the hotel room provides.

Therefore, if she is always posting pictures or videos of hotel rooms or mirror selfies on her Insta-stories, WhatsApp status, tiktok, etc – especially when she is wearing white towels or bathroom gowns
– then she is most likely into hookup.

She twerks on her whatsapp Status or tiktok
Twerking, dancing seductively or posting obscene picture of her body on social media is a fantastic strategy for attracting patronage for hookup.

Posting sultry photos or videos on her social media account is bound to lure randy men on her contact list.

So if she does these frequently, then there is a huge possibility that she is hunting for patrons
for hookup.

She lives in a shared apartment with other girls

https://jojonaija.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/hookup-shared-apartment.jpeg

In big cities in Nigeria, hookup girls typically live in shared apartments. This is especially common in exclusive areas with close proximity to rich potential clients.

A hookup girl typically cohabits in the shared apartments with other females, who are often in the same line of business. This way, they split the expensive rents amongst themselves, which are paid either weekly or monthly.

In Lagos, these sort of shared apartments are common on the Island especially in places like Lekki Phase 1, Chevyview Estate, Ikota Villa Estate, Osapa London, etc.
On the mainland, they abound in places like Festac, Allen Avenue, Opebi, etc.

She flaunts expensive stuff without any identifiable source of income

She is always flaunting expensive phones, hair attachments, bags, jewelries, etc but she has no identifiable means of income.

Chances are high that those items were acquired with the proceeds from the hookup business.

She is into hard drugs or alcohol

https://jojonaija.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/smokingweed.jpg

Hookup business is no easy business. It requires energy, boldness and fearlessness to deal with and have sex with strangers. To overcome these issues and to boost their energy and confidence, women in the hookup business often turn to hard drugs or alcohol.

So, a woman who is into recreational drugs such as Marijuana, tramadol, Colorado, shisha, etc
is most likely into the hookup business.

She poses as an online vendor

Hookup girls often camouflage as online vendors who sell clothes, jewelries, perfumes, hair, bags, etc. Some also claim to be actresses, social media lifestyle influencers, video vixens, makeup artistes, etc.

However, a keen observation would reveal that their inventories or type of work cannot possibly be the source of their expensive or luxurious lifestyle.

She is facinated by Body enhancement or tattoo

https://jojonaija.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/bbl.jpg

In the hookup business, a banging body attracts high patronage, especially from the big spenders. This is one reason why most women in the sex trade are often obsessed with the idea of enhancing their bodies by surgical methods.

If a girl is facinated by body enhancement, or she has undergone medical procedures such as Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), Breast augumentation, etc, she is most likely a hookup girl.

Bonus

She keeps an extra phone

A smart business move by hookup girls is to own a dedicated phone for the hookup business. On this phone, she advertises herself flirtatiously on her whatapp and social media account to elicit interest from randy clients.

Typically, none of her close friends or family are on the contact list neither do they have the phone number of this line. In this manner, relatives and friends remain unaware of her hookup activities.

HealthRe: Only 3 Out Of 21 LGAs In Anambra Open Defecation-Free - UNICEF by Konquest: 2:56pm On Nov 23, 2024
Ebubu7:
By Vincent Ujumadu

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has disclosed that only three out of the 21 local government areas (LGAs) in Anambra State are free from open defecation.

The LGAs—Aguata, Anambra East, and Nnewi North—hold this distinction, with Aguata and Anambra East classified as semi-urban, while Nnewi North is urban.

However, investigations reveal that open defecation remains a significant challenge in areas such as Onitsha South (Upper Iweka axis), Ogbaru (Okpoko and surrounding communities), Anambra West, Ayamelum, and Awka North.

During a media briefing to mark World Toilet Day, UNICEF’s Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) specialist at the Enugu Field Office, Mrs. Rebecca Gabriel, emphasized that the three ODF-certified LGAs risk losing their status if they fail to maintain required standards. Conversely, she noted that other LGAs could achieve ODF certification with dedicated efforts.

Gabriel outlined the criteria for safe toilet facilities, which include proper containment, evacuation systems, and facilities for treating waste.

A study by UNICEF revealed that 3% of the population in Anambra still practices open defecation, making it the second-highest rate among the five South-East states under the Enugu Field Office. Abia State recorded the lowest rate at 2%.

Dr. Olusoji Akinleye, Officer in Charge of UNICEF Field Office, Enugu, described open defecation as a significant challenge undermining health, education, and community well-being.

Toilets are central to our lives—they represent peace, protection, and health. When toilets are inadequate or broken, pollution spreads, leading to deadly diseases,” Akinleye stated.

UNICEF highlighted funding shortfalls as a barrier to progress. While an annual investment of ₦168 billion is needed nationwide to achieve ODF status, only ₦15 billion was allocated between 2018 and 2022.

Other challenges include limited private sector participation, inconsistent public awareness campaigns, and insufficient engagement of religious and traditional leaders in promoting hygiene practices.

UNICEF called for increased government commitment, private sector involvement, and active community engagement to tackle open defecation and ensure healthier communities.

This kind of behaviour is common in North Africa and they even do it to each other. Remember the 2009 battle between Egypt and Algeria during World Cup qualifications?
Thank YOU for the X link!

Indeed, they do that soccer hooliganism thing in North Africa (the Maghreb) and even segregate themselves into different Arab clans (where covert and overt rivalries for power and influence exist among the different clans).

I'll read up on that 2009 Egypt and Algeria encounter again.

I saw many videos of the attacks yesterday. Some of the videos show the Benenoise players running into the tunnel as they were being pelted with bottles and stones from the crowd in the stadium. One video shows Gernot Rohr explaining what happened to them and I've also seen this video of the bus. Some other videos show injured Benenoise players.

There's a lot of evidence.

The Benenoise also said that they were held hostage at the airport.
@Naptu2

I appreciate the impressive feedback from you. I had earlier searched online today for more video evidence (using different search keywords) but ONLY found this one video that I attached. It's good to know that other documented videos exist that the Beninoise can provide so that CAF can take action and these Libyan guys of Bedouin Arab lineage will realize that they are NOT untouchable!

A significant number of ill-educated Arabs naturally have warped egos and look down on Africans from the South of the Sahara due to the fact that the Arabs enslaved people from especially the West, Central, and East Africa for centuries where they were taken to Oman, North Africa, Turkey, Yemen, Arabia, etc, to work on plantations and to be used in their harems as sex slaves. So, they use a racial slur called "ab*ed" (or slave) to describe any "Brown-skinned" African till today. An African-American Muslim dude raised up the same issue about the use of that slur online and Farooq Kperogi wrote about the anger of African-Americans who found the Arab use of that "ab*ed" slur highly distasteful.

So, you can't rule out such narcissistic sentiments from the Libyans which led to the attacks on the Beninoise. If it was their fellow Arab counterparts from another country that defeated them, would the Libyan hooligans and Libyan police have done what they did to the Beninoise team and their coach? I don't think so.

Thanks for your input here.

The video right above is the ONLY scene of the Beninoise soccer team in their bus in Libya. It was also posted on X. So, the Beninoise have to come up with MORE iron-clad video evidence to show that they were truly physically attacked and sustained severe body injuries from the Libyan hooligans and the Libyan police so that CAF can slam the heavy "sanctions hammer" on Libya.

So the user who stated that CAF is to blame was right. Any country that displays arrant disregard for sportsmanship should be banned from international sports, or at best never allowed to host any international match.
@Ishilove,

Indeed, that North African country must be BANNED for at least 5 years and made to pay a heavy fine for this highly irresponsible act of hooliganism from the Libyan soccer hooligans and the Libyan policemen because this is a repeat offence. That should lead to a "brain reset" for some years to come.

Hours after his first pick to run the nation’s top law enforcement agency dropped out, President-elect Donald Trump named former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi as his new choice to run the Justice Department.

interview of Bondi’s assertions in the aftermath of the shooting that she was advocating for the LGBTQ community. “You said in court that gay people, simply by fighting for marriage equality, were trying to do harm to the people of Florida.”

Bondi said she was simply upholding the Florida Constitution, and that the ban is “not a law.”

“That was voted into the state constitution by the voters of Florida,” Bondi said. “That’s what I was defending. … I never said I don’t like gay people.”

After leaving the Florida attorney general’s office, Bondi joined Ballard Partners, a lobbying firm with deep ties to Trump and Wiles. There, she represented the country of Qatar from 2019 to 2020, according to documents submitted to the federal government by the firm under the Foreign Agents Registration Act

Most recently, Bondi joined a group of pro-Trump lawyers who filed an amicus brief to a federal appeals court in the special counsel’s classified documents case against Trump. The brief was in support of Trump’s claim that special counsel Jack Smith was unlawfully appointed – a claim that led to Judge Aileen Cannon dismissing all charges against the president-elect earlier this year.

Bondi has also reportedly been in the hotseat as the subject of a legal case: a custody battle with a Louisiana family over their St. Bernard, Master Tank, who went missing after Hurricane Katrina. The family told The Tampa Bay Times that Bondi stole the dog, while Bondi accused the family of neglect.

That case was settled before trial and Master Tank returned to his family.

Former Florida congressman Matt Gaetz withdrew his name for consideration as Trump's pick for attorney general. He has come under intense scrutiny over allegations of sexual misconduct.

Matt Gaetz, who had been nominated by President-elect Donald Trump to be the United States attorney general, withdrew from the selection process on Thursday, after widespread opposition including from within his Republican Party.

"While the momentum was strong, it is clear that my confirmation was unfairly becoming a distraction to the critical work of the Trump/Vance Transition," Gaetz said on social media.

The former Florida congressman, who was nominated last week, faced questions over his fitness to serve as the country's top law enforcement official and his past conduct.

Gaetz was investigated by the Justice Department for nearly three years into potential sex trafficking violations in a probe that ended last year without charges being brought.

The 42-year-old had also faced a a lenghty probe by a congressional ethics panel into possible sexual misconduct and drug use but he resigned last week from his seat in the House of Representatives, which would usually mark the end of a congressional investigation into the matter.

Gaetz denied all of the claims he faced but said in his statement on X that he hoped to avoid a "needlessly protracted Washington scuffle."

Trump looks forward to Gaetz's next step

Reacting to the news, Trump took to his Truth Social network to say he was looking forward to seeing what Gaetz will do next after withdrawing as his pick.

"He was doing very well but, at the same time, did not want to be a distraction for the Administration, for which he has much respect," Trump posted. "Matt has a wonderful future, and I look forward to watching all of the great things he will do!"

Senator Lindsey Graham from South Carolina, one of Trump's biggest Senate supporters, also threw his support behind Gaetz, saying on on X that he believes the former congressman "will continue to contribute to our nation's wellbeing for years to come."

Muammar Gaddafi himself was a bloody essentric who violated airport protocols on visits to foreign countries and moved arrogantly around with female bodyguards while making strange geopolitical pronouncements. To wrap it up, he was a terror sponsor on Western targets.

Due to the trans-Atlantic trade, the notorious Arabs have for centuries generally looked down upon Africans South of the Sahara (such as the enslaved men, women and children of Hausas, Bambaras, Middle Belt ethnic groups, East African and Congo region, etc) who they called by the racial slur "abe*d." A lot of East Africans were taken across the Indian Ocean to Oman, Yemen, Arabia, etc, West Africans were taken by the Arabs during the trans-Saharan slave trade to North Africa, and the Arab Gulf states such as Oman as well where they were put to work and the females were used as sex slaves who fathered children for the bloody Arabs. The Benin Republic national team qualified for AFCON 2025 after playing a goalless draw against Libya, but the outcome of the match apparently angered the Libyan fans, who went berserk and attacked the team with stones and bottles, while the Libyan police contributed their own quota of beating with batons .

Even their (Benin Republic) Tunisian assistant collect wotowoto. Gerhart Rohr, who is the former coach of the Super Eagles says he is still traumatized by the actions of the nefarious Libyan fans and authorities.
~~~
Gernot Rohr, the head coach of the Benin national team, has revealed players and officials of the team were assaulted by fans and police during the recent game between them and Libya in their final 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match in Tripoli earlier this week.
"We have never seen this kind of thing in football. Libya is not playing fair. After the match, we were thrown stones while at the players’ area,” Rohr said in an interview with Canal Plus about the team’s experience in Libya.
With Nigeria already securing a spot at the 2025 AFCON from Group D, Benin Republic, Rwanda, and Libya went into the final round of matches, hoping to pick up the second slot from the group.
However, the 0-0 draw between Benin and Libya in Tripoli on Monday meant the result favoured Rohr’s side as they secured the second ticket for the 2025 AFCON from the group.
The outcome apparently angered the Libya fans, who eventually resorted to throwing stones and bottles at members of the Benin Republic contingent, with some of them sustaining injuries while the Libyan police also struck players and officials with batons.
“The team’s bus was stopped, but finally, when the police came, we thought we were going to be safe, but they instead entered the bus and started beating in the bus,” Rohr said.
“Even the Tunisian assistant got beaten alongside everyone, which ultimately forced the bus to head directly to the airport to board the flight the Benin embassy had chartered to take everyone back home,” he added.
This is not the first time Libya has been accused of using “dark arts” and treating visiting teams horribly whenever they are in the country for football matches.
Visiting teams for interclub tournaments have also faced unpleasant treatment while in Libya.
Earlier this month, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) fined Libya $50,000 and awarded three points and three goals against them after diverting Super Eagles mid-air and holding the team hostage inside the airport for more than 15 hours without food and water.
The National Bureau of Statistics(NBS), says one out of four individuals between ages 15 years and above would like to leave their communities permanently or at least temporarily.
The NBS said this in its General Household Survey- Panel (GHS-Panel) Wave 5 2023/2024 unveiled in Abuja on Thursday.
The report showed that more men aged 15 years and above wanted to leave their communities representing 31. 2 per cent compared to women at 19.3 per cent.
It said among age groups, 34.5 per cent of people between 20 and 30 years of age would like to migrate.
“This was followed by those between ages 15 and 18 at 26.9 per cent and those between ages 31 and 64 at 25 per cent.
“Among people ages 65 and above, only 6.5 per cent said that they would like to leave their communities.”
The report said that among those who would like to migrate, 35.3 per cent would like to move to Abuja and 26.6 per cent would like to relocate to another country.
The report revealed that those in the Southern zones predominantly reported that they would like to relocate to another country, while individuals in the Northern zones preferred to move to Abuja or another state.
The NBS said that nationally, 45.4 per cent of households had at least one former household member who had relocated within and outside the country.
According to the report, half of those former household members are females.
The report said that marriage was the main reason why former household members had relocated at 28.2 per cent, followed by those who had gone to live with relatives or friends at 21.2 per cent.
“This was followed by those who went to look for/start a new job or business at 14.6 per cent .
It showed that urban households were less likely to have a former household member who had migrated, with a reported share of 37 per cent compared to 49.3 per cent of rural area households.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the GHS-Panel is Nigeria’s nationally representative longitudinal household survey which began in 2010 and had implemented five waves of the survey.
The panel nature of the data enables tracking household-level changes in critical areas of welfare, work, and socio-economic outcomes over time, yielding insights for policy.
Awolowo's UPN captured the Midwest with Prof. Ali, you remember?
Absolutely... Well said. I'm glad you brought up the historical FACT of the former Bendel State UPN Governorship of Professor Ambrose Folorunso Alli up. UPN was led by Chief Jeremiah Obafemi Awolowo during the 1979 to 1983 election cycles and the people of the Old Bendel State (now Edo and Delta States) voted for UPN because of the developmental strides of the party and they remembered Awolowo's progressive strides when he was the Premier of the Old Western Region which they also belonged to till the referendum of 1963. A lot of posters here are youngsters who are deeply ignorant of historical facts hence they type nonsense like the person you quoted.
Back in the late 2010s, I read a full-page Punch newspaper interview online of former Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa's biological father who said he attended a fantastic institution in the Old Western Region (the institution is now in Delta State) that was established by Chief Jeremiah Obafemi Awolowo, GCFR, SAN. If Awolowo had been biased towards the people of the current Edo and Delta States when they were with the Yorubas in the Old Western Region of the 1950s till the 1963 referendum, the Okowa family would probably have prevented Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa's daughter from getting married to the Yoruba guy she is currently married to.
There's another popular Ijaw activist called Comrade Eva from Delta State who eulogized Chief Obafemi Awolowo in a media publication for introducing the free education program and more which enabled them to go to school. These FACTS put paid to the FAKE news being circulated by some demented trolls that the Yorubas and Awolowo did NOT do anything for the current Edo and Delta States when they were originally in the Old Western Region of Nigeria. Action Group politicians led by Awolowo were even in support of the referendum of 1963 because they believed it would bring more developments to the new Mid-Western Region and predictably that is what happened.
Great100000:
The airport could welcome 110million annual passengers, making it one of the busiest in the world.
A new mega-airport is being built in Africa - and it's set to cost at least £5billion and become the continent's biggest travel hub.
The airport will be built near the town of Bishoftu, Ethiopia. The site is 25 miles away from the country's capital, Addis Ababa.
Once fully built, it is expected that the airport will welcome 110million annual passengers.
Ethiopian Airlines and Dar Al-Handasah Consultants reached a deal earlier this year for the design and overseeing of the project.
The project has been named 'Mega Airport City', and aims to boost Ethiopia's economic growth.
Under the current plans, the project should be completed by 2029.
The new airport will boast a four-runway configuration and a state-of-the-art terminal.
The existing airport in the capital Addis Ababa Bole is located at a height of 2,334 meters (7,625 feet), making it one of the highest airports in the world.
Ethiopian Airlines Group chief executive Mesfin Tasew said of the project: "The project will not only enhance connectivity but also drive economic growth and prioritize environmentally responsible practices in our country and beyond."
Dar's director of operations in Ethiopia Tariq Al-Qanni said: "We are privileged to be collaborating with Ethiopian Airlines on this visionary new airport, which will provide vital global air connectivity, accelerate economic growth in Ethiopia, and elevate Ethiopian Airlines into Africa's most strategic and most competitive aviation group."
Ethiopia's new airport may be set to become the biggest in Africa, but the largest airport in the world is under construction in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, the world's busiest airport is Dubai International Airport. It had 44.9 million passengers in the first half of this year.
