CrimeRe: Dismembered Body Of Missing Girls Found Near Home Of Man They Met On Facebook by Konquest: 11:03pm On Jun 04, 2024
Gistmedia10:
A gruesome discovery has been made in Abia State, Nigeria, as a decomposing body was found near the residence of Andrew Amaechi Ochekwo, the man who had been hosting two friends, Celine and Afiba, who have been missing since April 27, 2024.

According to Nigerian activist Harrison Gwamnishu, the body was found with its head, hands, and legs not visible, wrapped in a curtain similar to those found in Andrew's home. Andrew had been killed while trying to escape from arrest.

Gwamnishu confirmed the discovery and appealed for assistance in ascertaining whether the body belongs to either of the missing women. He assured that any information received would be kept confidential and urged the public to come forward with any useful information.

The search for Celine and Afiba continues, and the authorities are working to determine the identity of the discovered body.

That's horrendous tbh.

All that is left is to do a positive DNA identification of the body wrapped in the window curtain.

The criminal's so-called company name, Black Sheep Group is enough to raise warning bells for any discerning person.

I think yes. A political appointment is for a definite, relatively short time. He should earn more than an equivalent or even senior civil servants.

Unlike him, a level 16 or 17 civil servant will retire on a pension for life. Well, that's if the wicked government gets round to paying.

In the UK and US, same thing applies. Political appointees often earn more than civil servants.
Indeed.

BusinessRe: Dangote Eyes $30 Billion In Total Revenue From His Businesses By End Of 2024 by Konquest:
Islie:
•Discloses some IOCS unwilling to sell crude locally, used to exporting

•Says he will soon start making money from 650,000 bpd oil refinery

Founder of the Dangote Group and Africa’s richest person, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has disclosed that by the end of 2024 he expects the total revenue from his businesses to hit over a staggering $30 billion.

Speaking in an interview on CNN, the billionaire businessman stated that the projection will catapult the Dangote Group into the elite group of the biggest 120 companies in the world.

He explained that with the recent restructuring in the company and key persons manning the key segments of the businesses, it will not be too difficult to hit the $30 billion mark by the end of the year.

“We have divided the company now into two. We have myself as group president, then we have the group president, oil and gas and we have the group president of other businesses.

“And all these ones , when you combine, by the end of this year, we will have a group that will have $30 billion of revenues and that is big. It means that we will be among the biggest 120 companies in the world,” he stated.

On the much-talked-about oil refining facility, he described it as a game changer, stressing that as ships from abroad begin to gradually halt movement into the country, since the refinery can supply all Nigeria’s petroleum products, it will reduce carbon emissions by as much as 2 million tonnes.

“This refinery is going to change the game. You know, improvements all over the place. If we take in all the crude from Nigeria, it means that we’ll take about 21 million barrels per month. And that will also help in terms of reducing the CO2 emissions.

“Rather than ships coming all the way from Europe bringing products, or the ships going out of Nigeria, that is 21 ships going out of Nigeria every month. And then you have the products coming into Nigeria. So in totality when you calculate, you are talking about 480 ships of 1 million barrels.

“That actually will save the environment almost 1.5 to 2 million tons of CO2 emissions,” he added.

On whether he had started making money yet from the $19 billion crude oil refinery in Lagos, Dangote assured that he will soon start making money, stressing that although running businesses is about making money, but it gives him great satisfaction that his activities were helping to make Africa great.

Dangote, answering a question on whether he was getting adequate crude oil from producers in the country stated that although the Nigerian National Oil Company Limited (NNPC) was doing its best, the International Oil Companies (IOCs), were used to exporting their crude and were not willing to change immediately.

“We know there are challenges here, and that’s the truth. I have to be very open to you, but, you know, NNPC, they’ve been very, very helpful. They do their own bit.

“But some of the IOCs, are struggling to give us crude, because everybody’s used to exporting, and nobody wants to stop exporting. Why do you think Africa is not growing as it should?

“Because we export raw materials and import finished goods. It doesn’t matter what it is, even if it’s gold or whatever, a raw material is always at a ridiculously priced amount compared to a finished goods,” he pointed out.

Dangote stated that he had never been known for giving up on a good cause, stressing that nothing scares him in business. “I’ve been fighting battles all my life, so, you know, I don’t get scared of anything,” he said .

Again, he complained that Africa is not doing enough trade with itself, positing that the continent only does 16 per cent trade with itself and pointing out that the African Continental Free Trade Area (AFCTA) could help in that direction.

“The AFCTA will be very, very beneficial. And if you are talking about benefits, our company will almost be one of the top five in terms of benefiting from the free trade agreement,” he stated, however stating that he had not seen any improvement in trade within the continent.

“We have petroleum products to export. So we have too many things to export. We have cement also to export. What makes sense is to have the free trade agreement work. But my own thinking is that, look, for us to cross that hurdle, because the trade between us is only about 16 per cent, which is too low.

“So we have to make sure that all the regional markets, they have to work. We have to remove these requirements of visas. We have to allow free movement of people, free movement of goods and services. Then the AFCTA will work. Without that, it is almost impossible.

“I mean, you look at it today. I’m going to Egypt tomorrow, but I need a visa. They are saying that, yes, okay, fine, they will give me visa on arrival if I have an American visa (passport). But I have an African passport and they are part and parcel of AFCTA.

“But they are saying that, no, if you have American visa, we’ll give you. So they are discounting me being an African. So how do we trade if you are not allowing me into your own country?nbsp; What I would have loved to see is to see a South African coming to even get a job in Nigeria with no hassle.

“Because if we don’t now integrate, we will never, ever see what we call prosperity. So the integration is very, very important. If you remember, most countries, they used to have Ministry of Integration. I don’t know what happened. Some of the countries they have actually dropped all this, which doesn’t make sense,” he added.

Dangote described his three children as the future of his businesses, stressing that they have enough experience to run some parts of his vast businesses along with other executives of the group.

That's truly impressive.

A projected 30 billion USD gross revenue per annum in the FIRST instance from his group of companies! Way more than Nigeria earns from crude oil sales which accounts for over 90 per cent of Nigeria's export revenue.

The tropical food crops that are eaten by West Africans are also eaten by Brazilians, so, I'm not gonna be surprised whenever they easily gravitate towards eating Nigerian cuisines. The Yorubas even took Akara, Moin Moin and more with them to Brazil after leaving the shores of West Africa in the 1700s (and especially the 1800s) on slave schooners. Till date, Akara (which is spelled as Acaraje) is a delicacy in especially Bahia where many well-documented Yorubas of from subgroups such as Oyo, Ijesa, Egba, and some Ijebus were taken to with the Yoruba culture and Ifa (Yoruba religion) being very prominent there.

Hey! You must think everybody is a fool here. There are many folks who are professionals here on NL. To show that YOU do NOT understand what is going on in the oil and gas sector, you WRONGLY said the oil and gas companies are divesting from Nigeria, but that is incorrect! What they have done is to sell their assets in the onshore and near-offshore or shallow waters to local oil and gas players and then move to the more LUCRATIVE deep offshore. Globally, the deep offshore is where the action is at in the oil and gas sector.

For your info, I worked in the oil and gas sector right from the 1990s and even lived and worked in Port Harcourt and more. I've been a member of NL since 2005 with an older monicker and as a veteran here, I can say without a shadow of doubt that your narcissistic behavior is one of the most insidious I have ever seen. PoliticsRe: Multinationals Leaving Nigeria Due To Foreign Exchange Woes – Edun by Konquest:
Morbeta11:
The Minister of Finance, Wale Edun, has stated that the lack of a liquid foreign exchange market was the major reason why some multinational companies exited Nigeria.

Edun, who was a guest on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics programme, stated that the government has addressed this issue by establishing a willing buyer, willing seller foreign exchange market.

He said, “One of the major drawbacks one of the major impediments for them (exiting multinationals) was they did not have a liquid foreign exchange market.

“Now, we have a willing buyer, willing seller foreign exchange market. It is elevated, may be not at the levels we will like it to be but it is when you get inflation down that you can stabilise the exchange rate and even get it coming down similarly with the interest rate. That fight is on. It is an improved environment for them, for big investors as a whole.”

He explained that the inability of the exiting multinationals to access foreign exchange was a major impediment to their operations in the country.

According to Edun, recent executive orders signed by President Bola Tinubu have improved the investment climate for the gas sector, which Nigeria has in abundance.

https://punchng.com/multinationals-leaving-nigeria-due-to-foreign-exchange-woes-edun/#google_vignette
A combination of increased exploration and production of oil and natural gas deposits in the Nigerian inland basins and offshore basins such as the Dahomey Basin (otherwise called Benin Basin) which extends from Ghana, Togo, Benin Republic RIGHT into Lagos, Ogun, and Ondo States for export and domestic use in industries would rev up the inflows of FX in the medium to long-term.

The Dahomey Basin section of the offshore Atlantic bordering the Western parts of Nigeria have been proven to have huge oil and natural gas deposits in commercial quantities using 3D seismic data from the oil companies that have been prospecting in the Dahomey Basin since the 1990s right till this very moment with several OPLs and OMLs issued out to Nigerian-owned oil companies such as Lekoil and Yinka Folawiyo Petroleum. It's time for more action to drive up more production within that space for the benefit of Nigeria.

That's the way Nigeria has always attracted FX in the past decades, but this time around, a more robust value addition strategy MUST be made on all known agro commodities and mineral resources. The finished goods can then be exported to the ready global markets.

I can see where you were coming from... Indeed, Mary of Teck (who was born into an upper-class, aristocratic family) was King George V's Queen consort.

The kleptomania story is simply an "urban legend." No doubt, Mary was a collector of art works and loved the good things of life, and she may have been perceived incorrectly as an "oju kokoro" by some of the wealthy aristocrats she engaged with, but she was without a shadow of doubt far from being a kleptomaniac. Someone refered to her as an "upmarket kleptomaniac." Lol. But in NO way did she fit into the TRUE definition of a kleptomaniac who is a person who STEALS things that he or she doesn't need."

I found this article below from the Daily Mail which gives another perspective to the story of Mary of Teck (Queen Elizabeth II's paternal grandmother).

Hello guys.

So someone living in UK went to buy Yam and posted the Yam he bought on Facebook with the price tag on it.

He bought the yam at the rate of £3.55.

This shows that foodstuffs are very cheap in the UK.

Unlike in Nigeria where such tuber of Yam will be nothing less than 7,000 Naira in some places especially with hike in food prices as we speak.

Some families now no dey chop yam again because of how expensive it has become.

So the next time u see someone coming back from UK, abeg give them money to help you buy foodstuffs when they are coming because Food is cheaper in UK than Nigeria.

No wonder those in UK do not want to come back to Nigeria.

"Things are hard in UK...Don't come to UK...Things are expensive in UK"

Keep listening to such talks.

E no reach their kitchen.

The elderly man in the video here CLEARLY said in the Yoruba language that several government folks have tried digging boreholes and wells in the past without success because they were all unable to penetrate the rock underneath the ground to get to the water table. The location is definitely on a high altitude. Industrial grade water drilling machines would have to be brought to that community ASAP!

Some uninformed trolls have been gloating here because these folks have to get water from Benin Republic... But since they have to cross the border into the Yoruba side (a village called Owode) in of Benin Republic to get water, there's nothing wrong in that because the Yoruba folks on both sides of the Ogun State and Benin Republic borders are relatives from the same ethnic stock. It's the British and French colonialists that separated people of the same ethnic group into 2 different countries. Same thing was done to the Hausas, Baribas (Batonus), Kanuris/Kanembus, Ejagbams, Efiks, etc, whose indigenous lands were separated into 2 or 3 different countries like the Yorubas whose lands were carved into 3 countries of Nigeria, Benin Republic, and Togo.

In any event, the current water source for that community is being purified by the residents with alum to make it a bit useful, so, there's an urgent need to harness rain water in reservoirs and then go through the filtration process. A mini-hydro electricity generator can also be used to pump water into reservoirs for further purification in this community in collaboration with their Yoruba kith and kin on the Benin Republic side of the border. Getting industrial grade borehole drilling machine that will hit the water table would be the icing on the cake for these folks. It's very expensive, but it has to be done.

A Ghanaian woman Natalia Nana is trending online for saying she's been meeting and sleeping with random men because sex with her husband is boring
It's not a real situation the woman gave in the video. That was just a hypothetical situation she threw up their so as to generate discussions among couples and intending couples.

A woman whose not getting the right sex with her spouse who she still claims to love would have clandestine sex with others men who are close or relatively close to her husband to justify the sex. Better to just up your game sexually as a man, but in the event that things can't work out, it's better for a woman to leave the marriage than to cheat sexually with another man under her man's roof or nose. She can go and kick rocks!
