I sent my MSc (UK university) certificate to WES and there was no problem. Sent my Bsc(Ghanaian university) transcripts to which WES said they have contacted the school and the school has not responded. I contacted the school and was told they did not get any message from WES. Just sent my Bsc certificate recently.

WES said the institution has not responded to their message but the school denied it.

I have sent an email to WES which they did not respond to, just sent a fax to WES today and will like to know what else I can do.

How can school deny responding to a mail they didn't get? That aside, you can either;

1.) Try get WES to resend the verification, then follow up closely with your school or

2.) Inform WES to exclude your Bsc from the assessment.

WES received response on verification from Unilag on Monday 11/9/2017. They still went ahead to state the evaluation will be due for completion on 29/9/2017. This is after receiving transcripts and certificates since mid August.
Question is, does it take that long for WES to complete ECA after receiving response to their verification from schools? That's like another 18days.

WES say processing time is 20 business days after receipt, review and acceptance of all documents by WES. All documents here includes verification response! Good thing as mentioned by Feygbe is you'd likely have the ECA before the stated 29th. Patience is key.

Got a mail from WES this afternoon that my ECA was ready. I've just logged in but the electronic copy isn't loading for viewing

Give a little more time, you'd be able to view (download). The mail says 15mins after receipt, in my ecstatic self, I didn't wait the 15mins! I actually didn't see I was to wait 15mins, only read ECA is ready. I just went straight to my WES profile and hit the view button. Then I began to panic like after 30min thing was still giving me the error massage, I thought did I cause it by not waiting the stipulated 15min. I realized there was no problem when like an hour later I couldn't view my wife's either.

I was able to download both much later in the day. Just give a bit more time. You'd have it.

is there a way to speed up WES evaluation cos my status on WES says "Your evaluation report review is in progress, and will be due on the 24th of sept". I want to jump into the pool today and its only my WES evaluation report that is pending.

PS: 1. I have sent them numerous fax and no response
2. the WES is for UK masters {all I have been accepted by WES) just the report remaining

I don't think there's much you can do to speed up the process at this stage but, it's however very likely you'd receive the ECA before the stated date.

On another note, next draw will likely be on the 20th, hopefully you would have received your soft copy before or just on the day.

For your EE Profile, what you need is ECA reference number and date. To get the reference number, just add IMM to your WES application reference number (with no space in between). For the date, I am lost on what to advice.

Best advice I can think of is you wait to receive the ECA, maximum draw you'd miss (that's if you'd miss any at all) is just 1. Please wait for your ECA.

My first set of questions on this thread were ECA (WES) related - if I could use a post office address, and how safe was selecting the standard shipping option. I asked just so I won't hear ECA hard copy got lost in transit and of course cost cutting for the other. I was applying for two ECAs, difference in the two shipping options was netting N45k.

Trust, responses came making me opt for p.o.box and standard shipping. Glad to say, the choices paid off. Hard copies of the ECA picked today - less than a month from receipt of soft copies. The hard copies could have been in the box for a while as we don't get to check the box that often.

To reiterate, future applicants can save some money selecting standard shipping. It will be delivered to your post office box or home address. We’ve had several posts comfirming delivery to home addresses as well, though your ECA hard copy has possibility of getting lost in transit with the standard shipping option.

Thus far, over good de worry 456. You will as a fact get 468 if you score 8.5, 8, 7.5, 7.5 and him 8777 in LRWS.

Definitely. IELTS is valid for 2 years. I think he/she asked about ECA and not IELTS.

O baby, I know you know but for the poster to ask about validity period of ECA, s/he might as well need to know that of the IELTS. You get?

Then confirmation of additional degree after the ECA was completed will also decide re-validating the ECA or not.

436 with you being the PA and your husband not writing IELTS but doing ECA. That gives a possibility of hitting 456 or more with him taking IELTS.

True, but needs to be mindful of when s/he wrote IELTS. If initial application started 2014, looks like the IELTS needs re-validating.

Modified: If you added another degree, say MSc, it will be advantageous to request an upgrade of the ECA.

I just saw this, sorry for the late reply. First try to make sure you meet the eligibility points of at least 67.

From my experience, I did not enter my OND +HND details correctly. I used a new email to open another account and corrected that and also increased my funds a little bit. Then my profile was accepted and I returned to reduce my POF back to CAD12300. I strongly think mine was caused by the HND/ OND issue though.

Just go through every detail you entered what you filled during eligibility might have been slightly different from what u stated when creating your profile.

Which province did you choose as your settlement province (Be sure not to include QUEBEC) ? How did you enter your BSc details? Have you checked your proof of funds--are you sure you entered 13,000 and not 1,300? What is the breakdown of your 3 years work experience? Did you choose yes that you did ECA for your BSc? Are you sure the IELTS date you entered is less than two years?

I'm sure you made a little mistake when creating your profile. You can use a new E-mail address and clear all your cookies and cache before filling in your details.

Above all, please use a new email address as advised.

Knowing that we'll lose even more points as we apply again due to our age. We scored 410 previously . Hubby and I do not have our masters and we took our first IELTS exams last year.

Hubby's IELTS Scores:
LISTENING 8.5, Writing 7, speaking 7.5 and reading 8.5
My scores:
LISTENING 8, Reading 7, Writing 6.5, Speaking 7
I'm new to this thread any advise will be well appreciated.

With a CRS of 410 and your writing at 6.5, I'd conclude your husband is the PA. Now, your husband's result is good enough, you will only be missing 3 points from the maximum he can get from IELTS while yours as a spouse is almost perfect too, just two points off maximum 20 claimable. That means you both will be losing a total of 5 points from language points. To me, 5 points is not worth you both re-writing the IELTS, with a cost 136 grand which you are not even sure you'd hit the targeted scores on your next trail. So, i'd rule out retaking IELTS. If you however choose to rewrite, your score with maximum language score will be back at 410. You need a significant boost than 5 points considering your present CRS.

Other ways you can boost your score is to try accumulate points from educational factor, does your husband have NCE, OND, HND, any certification from ICAN (or close substitute)?. If no, can you be the PA if age and work experience supports? If yes, then you will have to rewrite IELTS and also confirm if you have any of the above degree/certificate.

Last resort is to gun for PNP, with 405 (assuming age is less than 40), you should get nominated in record time. Though expensive and time consuming route but sure seems like an option.

If however my first assumption is wrong - your husband being the PA, then solution to your issue lies in your simply retaking the IELTS. With at least 8777 in LRWS, you'd have a reasonable high CRS.

Bros, read of EOR that spanned August to December, then another case of missing result communicated at the 10th week. Though these cases are rare, one can't just preempt BC's ineffectiveness action atimes. Then, the there's the ongoing case of our PM with no clear reason of withholding result nor date to expect the result given.

I decided to err on caution while waiting on the EOR.

LASU has delivered hubby's transcript to WES finally and verification sent to LASU. Really appreciate all.
now to pursue verification with LASU.

There's a payment (10k) required to process the verification. Try get to LASU as soon as you can or send someone there. Once that payment is made, watch your status change within a week.

ASUU might be calling off strike within a week. Hopefully, SSANU and NASU will soft pedal on their proposed strike.

For the speaking- keep talking until the examiner stops you
For the listening- read the questions before you start listening, and answer the questions as the audio is playing, don't hesitate. If you miss one, pls move on to the next immediately.
For the reading- Also read the questions before reading the text.
For the writing, arrange your thoughts before you start writing, and write as much as you can. Don't write below the number of words required,
try to write more.

I get your point, some of us are lucky to have armed robber CRS while some are not so lucky. Remember someone recently shared his experience how he got ITA with the 415 or 413 draw, you just cannot tell what the next draw will be. You don't want to miss that opportunity when it comes.

I was about entering Pool in May with a "Paltry" score of 413. Looking at the table above you will see that the cut off dropped to 415 twice and I was so close both times. You can imagine how I felt (I hadn't even entered the pool. waiting for my wife's ECA). Finally I got in the pool on the 22nd of May or thereabout and after two days got Ontario Nomination. I was still deliberating on what to do with it and I got an ITA on the 31st of May at EXACTLY 413.
God knows your pain (if you missed ITA) and you will smile.

My Story is still being written....I will come back after PPR!.

Almost same case applies, oga was waiting for his wife's ECA!

Get your ECA sorted first. WES evaluation can be unnecessarily delayed by your institution you know! I will strongly advice you not to rush in on this for a seamless entry

If she is the PA and her point is above 420 without spouse's education, I think she should create the profile since she already has her ECA and IELTS. If however her husband is the PA, then she (they) have to wait (and a very long wait at that) for the ECA.

It's very possible to create your EE profile without his ECA. I'd assume here that you are the PA, if yes, simple select no when asked if you have ECA for his degree. If your CRS is high enough to get you ITA, you might will not need his ECA at the end of the day. If however he is the PA, do good to wait a bit for his ECA.

Though unsolicited, have you tried doing something about his transcript rather than just waiting on the school.

And yes, I have been reading from Zandora's post in 2015.

Now I understand that as a student, one may be eligible at the conclusion of his course to remain in Canada after meeting certain immigration requirements but this route would most likely require him to quit his job while he is studying (which he is skeptical about).
That said, I wish to ask the seniors if undertaking a new course is the only option available to him and would love feedback on other possible alternatives.

Tollu gave you the much information you can get based on your initial post. Truly, the visa your husband has will play very little role in the EE journey that's even if it will play any at all.

Go through the link Tollu posted and work the permutations. We don't even know your age nor Ogas age to be able to properly advice you. Several other factors still comes to play - your IELTS score, sibling(s) in canada among others.

Bros, I no gree o. It has to be next week Wednesday, September 13. A befitting birthday gift for me the next day. I went through the trend of ITAs issued and it supports this. For the months that have had three draws(Jan, April and August) with May being the exception, the second draw is usually one week after the first draw.

Next draw (Next Week or not) might even fall below your CRS. Eventually, we will all surely triumph.

3. Still under personal history for 10 years, the year I did NYSC, what should I classify it as? Employed, Government, military, unemployed?

1.) You can proceed to do your medicals as you've received ITA, or wait till you're about submitting (that's so you can maximize the one year validity).

2.) You are to account for the whole 10 years, leaving out instances you mentioned means you've not accounted for the whole period in question. So, for those, you can put unemployed or (self development, if there's anything of such).

3.) Please select employed. You were in fact employed at the time and you got paid.
