Just keep your two left legs away from Lagos so you will stop disgracing yourself.
Now you want to look at the date of the report - yet when it was pointed out to you that Fashola already had a 10000 CCTV system in place as far back as 2009 you said "forget 2009, we are talking now" (to paraphrase). Why are you checking the date of the report now? Inequity is your lot.

Besides, the 10000 CCTV cameras that Fashola installed are not enough to police Lagos, yet to you the phantom 1000 cameras the FG claims to be installing is "the project" that will make Lagos safe. If it makes the cameras in Lagos 11,000, all well and good, but desist from the claim that it was "GEJ's idea and project". That is where you will always have problems.

Borno is burning - GEJ should go and put out the fire there. They need CCTVs cameras more than any other place.
Your 1000 CCTVs that you could not make operative in Abuja, a fully controlled FG city, is the same one you want to convince us is working in Lagos.
That is called parasitic behavior - where you cannot implement something successfully by yourself but find it easy to jump on someone else's success and then seek to defame them. The overwhelming evidence is that the FG has abdicated its responsibility to the police force. In Lagos, and in fact in many states, they have spent their own resources massively to secure the state, including establishing the CCTV system.

Enough said.
Sincere 9gerian: Its such a disgrace to the "Eko oni ba je" crew that you'r still loitering on this thread spreading lies and silly propaganda.

I see you last ditch effort to save face is to latch on to the phrase "currently being installed". Didn't you check the date of the report? I doubt if you'll be FOOLISH to the extent of not checking. You saw the date of report was June 2012, yet you'r holding unto "currently being installed" to eliminate the possibility of the CCTV cameras @Op talked about being the ones deployed by FG. What a shame. This is the lies, deceit and mischief that some of us condemn here on a daily basis.

The youtube video you'r brandishing, is that the only evidence of the 10,000 Fashola CCTV cameras deployed in 2009? Which news media organisations reported the actual deployment of 10,000 cameras by Fashola? The Fashola we know, does not joke with media coverage so it will be unthinkable that Fashola will install 10,000 cameras and hide it in youtube. Only recently, the governor launched with so much fanfare, a street light project. The Fashola we know, if truely he deployed 10,000 cameras in Lagos, would have invited Nelson Mandela and Obama to commission it.

Show us reports by third parties (news media organisations) that covered the commissioning of the completed 10,000 cameras or even some of it. It is not enough to show us youtube video produced and directed by Fashola.

Another of your LIE is your statement that "The OP talked about an operating CCTV system that consists of over 10000 CCTV Cameras"

I read the post by @Op but I didnt find any mention of "10,000 CCTV cameras". By the way, the Op would be a witch if he had known how many cameras have been deployed so far from the outside, except he works for the firm in charge.

Therefore, Mr "Eko oni ba je", stop the LIES. Desist from stealing of projects

When you are cornered you resort to "putrid" mouth.
Look, if you go around deceiving Nigerians, lying about phantom projects, and conducting bold-faced project-stealing we will call you out.
Almost half of Nigeria is being lost to Boko Haram because we kept respecting people who do not know their left from their right.
Simply because they squirmed themselves into govt.
Call me names, if you like, it is your prerogative.
Just be sure that I will call you names in return as you deserve it.

Yeye dey smell - coming to Lagos to claim projects
And then say "oh, are we not all Nigerians?" when you are cornered.
Your propaganda machine has fallen into a ghastly accident.
Stop doing this and you will not see me on your tails
But you will not rest if you keep at it.

Maxymilliano: Will you try keep shut that putrid mouth of yours for a second? I don't need ignoramus like you to tell me what I already know...

You need to think before you write - that is exactly what you meant, and your own word convicts you.
After you opined that the man "was very polished, he didn't sound anything like a nigerian, talkless of an aboki" you went on to show that you were not talking about his intelligence because according to you "He must have been very intelligent...".

But it is even worse, if you were not talking about how he sounded, what does your "he didn't sound anything like a nigerian, talkless of an aboki" mean then? The answer to that question will bind you in an even more uncomfortable position - because then you will be saying that his intelligence or whatever is way above that of "a nigerian, talkless of an aboki"!!! Let's not even talk about the last part "talkless of an aboki" - God!!!

You can heap any rubbish that comes out of your mouth on me, the fact remains that it is this same mentality that our leaders at the top are carrying around, and leaving all of us in the doldrums of history. And tomorrow you will take your squirming self to some govt. position and carry on with the same mentality.

It is convenient for u to say that now. Fashola's people have no reason to latch on to anybody. It is the FG who is going around looking for projects to claim. Statements like yours are part of that deceit.

PoliticsRe: Have Anyone Noticed The City Wide CCTV Cameras In Lagos?? by koruji(m): 7:31pm On Mar 10, 2013
These are not relevant questions on this topic becos those are not the issues. The issue is the penchant of the FG under GEJ to copy, many times badly I must say, things that Fashola has been doing for ages and then run to the mountaintop to proclaim it GEJ's idea or project. To copy is not bad, and in fact it serves the people, but to latch on to other peoples projects and then try to defame those same people is dishonorable to say the least.

Pro Anti: @Kuroji,

Is the FG installing CCTV cameras in Lagos?

Does the FG have the right to install CCTV cameras in Lagos?

Would it be wrong for the FG to put party affiliations aside and work with LASG to work for the betterment of the masses?
PoliticsRe: Have Anyone Noticed The City Wide CCTV Cameras In Lagos?? by koruji(m): 6:09pm On Mar 10, 2013
The OP posted his comments exactly because he connected the CCTV System (Fashola's, not the "currently being installed", never know when it will start operating, FG's) to a crime that was promptly solved in his area.

Curses (and more than curses) will rain on the FG if it brings its well-known incompetence, which is why it can't contain deadly situations in the north and other regions, to dabaru things in Lagos. Fashola has things well under control in Lagos - GEJ should go and install his phantom cameras in Borno where they are needed to monitor Boko Haram activities!!! Evn if the FG wants to help in Lagos, since security is the FG's responsibility in Nigeria, it should keep its yeye politics out of Lagosian's life.

ifyalways: @Papabrowne, was it Fashola or Tinubu that bought the sunborn(sp) yatch hotel?

@topic, it would be nice to read of a crime twarted because of this CCTV or even crime solved instead of the usual "we are on investigations" the police feed us with.

Shameless liar and project-thief
What do you call the video below - from 2009 nonetheless?

Even your submissions shows you as a crass opportunist.
The OP talked about an operating CCTV system that consists of over 10000 CCTV Cameras.
You are countering with 1000 CCTVs that is "currently being installed".
"Currently being installed" is not the same as installed and operating.

They talk more than they do.
It is the hallmark of the GEJ presidency.
Government by loud-mouthing and lies.

babapupa: Dude, we came up with this idea and we've planted many CCTVs in lagos state with command and monitoring centers and the fact that your uncles in Abuja are jumping on the wagon and doing follow follow with pronouncements doesn't mean they have a single CCTV planted in Lagos state.

To be taken seriously, show us their CCTV in Lagos State and when you are done, show us their command center where they monitor their images. Until then, you are blowing nothing but hot mess and you should never be taken seriously just like your aso rock lying uncles..
PoliticsRe: Have Anyone Noticed The City Wide CCTV Cameras In Lagos?? by koruji(m): 4:11pm On Mar 10, 2013
Fashola has never claimed any FG project as his own, but the FG, shamelessly, has demonstrated a penchant for attempting to latch on to Lagos projects and make it like it is GEJ's doing. Obviously, when a thief comes into your house you defend yourself although you would never go steal in his house or any other.

What I am saying is if you are tired of these back and forth crap - tell GEJ's goons to stop latching on to projects they know very little about.
It is required of government to show us what they are doing with our money, and to suggest that a SG or FG distinguishing its projects from the others is nonsense is to fall into the hands of loudmouths and plain project-thieves, as we have here.

seunfly: Don't mind them all, they all follow and support their choice blindly, looking for any cheap point to project that their inferior choice is superior. That is why all of them will be defending what all of us know is not wrong and not defendable, at the same time they will be castigating what we all know is comendable i guess that is the reason why they keep claiming project of each others and celebrate medeocrity in leaders. Sometime if they don't have any cards to play they turn it into ethniciy rivary or religious superiority. Why must we fight over this things, is jonathan not the president with the mandate to make the nation safe or is Fashola not the governor with responsibility of making the state secure.
Sometimes i think that we youth are our own main problem, we have misplace priority instead of us to unite and demand for better life for today and our future through good governance we allow them to penetrate and divide us along intrest, ethnic and religious. For what value? No value, how much will they give us that will compare to good society, prosperous society and secured society through their undiluted marvelous governance.

This video, as far back as 2009, already mentioned 10000 solar powered CCTVs - I am sure Fashola has added more since then as needed.
I don't know from where this lying InSincere9gerian pulled out only 90 CCTVs installed by LASG.
This is another demonstration of the dishonorable behavior of this PDP operative.
InSincere9gerian needs to keep his ignoramus fingertips away from anything that has to do with Lagos.
He appears to have just emerged from the netherworld completely ignorant of the great strides of Fashola in Lagos.
But we are wiser, he is just doing his job of confusing issues, promoting a race-to-the-bottom approach to Nigeria.
Only under such a race-to-the-bottom approach would another dufus make it to Aso Rock in 2015 - and they would like to keep the current one there.

geeez: To all you haters, the CCTVs were deployed by BRF and its been ongoing for a while. There are also surveillance cameras on Third Mainland Bridge
Lagos State controls the monitoring centre and it is entirely a Lagos project

PoliticsRe: Have Anyone Noticed The City Wide CCTV Cameras In Lagos?? by koruji(m): 3:17pm On Mar 10, 2013
All you need to know is that Fashola has been installing CCTVs in Lagos before GEJ found his shoes.

And the fact that 90 cameras were installed in 2009 doesn't mean that was all. Unlike some people Fashola is not going to commission a project everytime he adds another 100.

GEJ and his accolites need to show us how well their CCTVs in their own city Abuja is working, not come to Lagos and engage in project stealing. Even if the FG provided some CCTv cameras that doesn't mean it becomes an FG project. Otherwise the police in Lagos should be the state police given how much Fashola has been spending on this Federal apparatus.

Like I said before - awon ole jati jati.

Sincere 9gerian: Stop the mischief! Most of the projects being harvested today, were initiated or re-continued in 2010/2011. So its only natural that 2013/2014 will be year of harvest.

You can read other silly meanings to the recent torrential harvest of federal govt projects but the fact is, there's time for everything- time for planting and time for harvesting. Those who did not plant, should not expect to harvest anything

Exactly.
When I say that nothing coming out of GEJ's admin and his 40 laptops and other mouthpieces is trustworthy they will start foaming in the mouth.
Fashola has been at this work and doing this excellent stuff before GEJ found his shoes.
They can't even figure out what they are doing with the one they started in Abjua - a city that was designed from the ground up.
Yet they will shamelessly stroll into Lagos to steal projects.

Reptyle: Lagos State government had installed CCTV cameras in strategic locations as far back as 2009 if memory serves me right. Jonathan's CCTV project was conceptualized in 2010 and began in 2012. Even the FCT project has run into troubled waters and is a largely abandoned project.

Fashola has had this project in place for ages - again before GEJ could find his shoes.
Soon this InSincere9gerian will come here proclaiming his honesty and impartiality.
Here he is again boldfacedly stealing another excellent Fashola project.

You people should be ashamed.
GEJ who watched as the police college deteriorated to the state of a public latrine is the one installing CCTV in Lagos!!! Yeah, right!!!
They don't even know the 1,2,3 of the one they started in Abuja, but will come to Lagos to steal Fashola's projects.
Fashola is spending billions on the police to keep Lagos safe, although this is supposed to be the FG's responsibility - but who is going to wait for an indolent center when there is serious work to do..

Awo ole jati jati!!!!

Sincere 9gerian: Dont mind dem. Due to scarcity of "Eko oni ba je" completed projects, ready for commissioning, the haters have now resorted to DAY LIGHT STEALING of federal govt completed projects.

One of them had already posted comments of mis-fired commendation (see below). I hope he will be honourable enough to modify the post and direct the commendation appropriately.

Richard Akinjide is a foolish old man, I am sorry to say.
The list he provided actually illustrates what we are all saying about GEJ's admin.
If Yorubas were in all these positions in the past, why are they not in any of those positions now?
It is because there is an ongoing design to pull the Yoruba nation down within Nigeria.
And the foolish old man cannot see beyond his nose because of his belly.

All I know is that the rest of Nigeria is digging its own grave with this path of action.

However, chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Richard Akinijde has accused those championing the issue of Yoruba marginalization as those who are reading the history of the country upside down.
According to him, the Yoruba has benefitted immensely from the earliest times and is still way ahead of other zones.
He said: “Going memory lane, the Yoruba have produced four Chief Justices of Nigeria and they were; Sir Adetokunbo Ademola; the longest serving Chief Justice in the history of Nigeria, Dr. Teslim Olawale Elias, Justice Fatai William and Justice Sowemimo. You had Lagos as the capital of Nigeria, there is the Murtala Mohammed Internal Airport, the biggest in Africa; located in Lagos, a Yoruba city; also it houses the biggest international sea port in Africa.”

What are you talking about? What arguments did you make?
Who is a nightmare to whom? I care about GEJ only so far as his actions affect our dear country.
GEJ is actually a power-monger, but power is very temporary
And there are no fail-safe systems anywhere in the world.
It calls for humility and not flippant talk from those who are supposed to be leaders.
What distinguishes true leaders is that their instincts, words and actions are beyond pedestrian.
A president cannot be replying pedestrian statements with pedestrian statements.
It is actually an opportunity to get these elders to do what he needs them to really be doing to fight Boko Haram.
I do agree in substance with GEJ's rejection of amnesty - it solves no problems.
But again GEJ cannot make a similar kind of request.
Suppose Borno elders call his bluff, and agree to sign an agreement.
Does GEJ really believe that this would end Boko Haram and would foolishly withdraw the JTF?
And if he withdrew the JT and Boko Haram continues, wfhat is he going to do then?
Arrest all Borno elders?

And definitely not the "Best President" anywhere in the universe.

icebeatz: I have always been a mad critic of GEJ's "slowness" and "dullness" but lately, i've been seeing some level of wisdom in his actions and in-actions.
I am not saying he is perfect and he sure has alot of work to do on his administration especially in the area of corruption and crime but if you take a close look at the general state of the country i think you'd agree with me that thing are getting better!!.....

PoliticsRe: President Jonathan's Best Statement Ever. by koruji(m): 9:17pm On Mar 09, 2013
A president should make this kinds of statements indoors, when you have serious private talks with these elders.
The Borno elders are of course irresponsible for calling for the withdrawal of JTF forces.
As if Boko Haram told them they will leave Borno alone then.
But as the president you don't make similar irresponsible statements in return.
GEJ is fond of going from calling Boko Haram "our brothers" to this kind of statements.
Neither a sheepish nor a "bring-it-on" approach will work.

hillsate: Guys, am not holding brief for the president. He has disappointed me severally in matters that he should have risen as the president. I am not his supporter.
But that does not mean that when he does something that seems plausible he should not be commended.

For guys that are calling this irresponsible or irrational statement, I bet you that you do not know the drama, the intrigues that surround Boko haram and the Borno elders. For Jonathan to summon up courage and give it to the elders in black and white is something that should be commended. The elders have been making a lot of noise about the withdrawal of JTF from Borno yet cannot guarantee that bombs will not go off. They are more concerned with the people that die as a result of JTF action but never bothered about the people that die from the havoc of boko haram. They have never for once condemned the actions of Boko Haram but are quick to talk about JTF action. They are even asking for amnesty for boko haram in support of Sultan of Sokoto.

Here is GEJ again
“The Boko Haram insurgency is reducing gradually in states like Bauchi, Yobe, Adamawa, Gombe and Niger among others, but in Borno State the situation is increasing. It is unfortunate, and this is because you the elders refused to come out and condemn the activities of the sect who are your children. This is not a time to be playing to the gallery,” the President stated.

Instead of that bring us news of these people making claims like you are making on their behalf here or even suing the Lagos State government.
Surely, if the Lagos government gives a C of O to someone to fence across a road then it shouldn't be too difficult for such a person to show evidence to the public and in court.
Until then, keep your suppositions to yourself.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria Islamist Group Says Has Executed Seven Foreign Hostages: SITE by koruji(op): 5:42pm On Mar 09, 2013
He might have not acted on time, but calling for the president to go is in fact an aid to these terrorists.
I must admit that GEJ has not shown the kind of mettle needed by a leader to address this dangerous situation.
But I have not seen any of our other big men step up either, except perhaps for Gen. Obasanjo.
However, even OBJ has been so antagonized that he is content to watch from the sidelines.
I am afraid that this sums to a bad situation for Nigeria.

Boko Haram is even worse than this group.
Boko Haram has killed 1000s of innocent men, women and children - in their churches especially.
Anybody that suggests Boko Haram is some militant group like Niger Delta militants is deceiving himself.
Niger Delta militants never engaged in a war on muslims, which they could have easily done.
And until they started planting bombs that hurt and killed people their agitation was legitimate.
Boko Haram has been nothing but devilish-fanatics, who deserve to rot in the deepest parts of hell.

Since GEJ is really incapable, this provides an opening for a great Nigerian leader to step up.
That person must come up with a viable plan to contain this menace, and take it to the public and Abuja.
Turn it into a campaign to kick GEJ/PDP out in 2015, if need be.
Sit in front of Aso Rock and talk about it if GEJ refuses to listen.
Unfortunately, nobody up to this point seems capable beyond the petty I-big-pass you that we call politics in Nigeria.

A clue as to what might be done is the following.
IBB and his boy Aliyu Babangida have done some things in Niger State to contain Boko Haram.
I don't know what, but the rest of the north needs to get in touch with them.

ndu_chucks: This is not Boko Haram who need to be given amnesty and reabsorbed into society. If this group is indeed based in Nigeria, then the President has failed woefully by siting idly and allowing the group to flourish.

Its time for GEJ to go, we can't afford to wait until his incompetence and outright cluelessness destroys our country.

What does C of O have to do with some silly person behaving like they owned the world?
Even if you have a C of O the government still retains the right of "eminent domain".
And that means you cannot build on land already being used by government for other purposes.
Yet, it is the same people that will come on here with pictures of how bad Lagos looks.

Inova: There's absolutely no how they would have been grated C of O for such construction. Some People just go about doing what they want. You can accuse me of loving my country and supporting my president, but beside that, nothing else.
PoliticsRe: Akpabio Presents 2 Toyota Suvs To Tuface, Wife; To Sponsor 29 To Couple’s Dubai by koruji(m): 5:06pm On Mar 09, 2013
The way Akpabio is behaving these days is shocking.
Something is wrong with that man.
Why would 2Face need a gift of SUVs when he can buy ten anytime he wants.
Meanwhile, the good people of Akwa Ibom are there with no one to present them with "gifts" of a comfortable life.

acidtalk: Why do people keep giving gift and favours to only the rich and then neglect the poor and needy who really needs them.

2face can afford to buy 10 brand new Prado SUV if he so wishes to. What of Akpabio using that money to sponsor talented sporten talents in his state or setup a skill acquisation center.

So much of injustice in this world.

By the way if it was his money would he buy 2 brand new SUV and give it to a single couple on their wedding day?

That's how people were calling me to ask, "acidtalk what do you want as wedding gift, a Private jet, estate in banana island, yatch, an island or half of world bank finances". I bluntly said, I don't need nothing of that. Give the money to charity on my behalf.
PoliticsNigeria Islamist Group Says Has Executed Seven Foreign Hostages: SITE by koruji(op): 5:01pm On Mar 09, 2013
This is straying into DRONE territory.
The lesson of the recent movements in northern Nigeria by the President and APC governors is not much about political posturing.
These are attempts to show the world that Nigeria is handling the situation up north.
But I am afraid this efforts are too little too late.
There may be no preventing drones from roaming the Nigerian skies in the near future.

Nigeria-based Ansar al-Muslimeen in the Land of Black Africans said on Saturday it had killed seven foreign hostages it seized on February 7 from a construction company in Nigeria, SITE Monitoring Service said.

The group issued a statement in Arabic and English accompanied by screen shots of a video purporting to show the dead hostages, SITE said.

In its statement, the group said it had decided to kill the hostages because of attempts by Britain and Nigeria to rescue them.

Nairaland GeneralRe: Who Is Sincere9gerian? by koruji(m): 3:03pm On Mar 09, 2013
To defend is one thing.
To promote falsehood in a bid to sell us snake oil is another.
I had hope that GEJ might actually be the one to transform Nigeria - even wrote something about that somewhere.
He has disappointed greatly - with crass ethnic bias, "I don't give a damn statements" and gross incompetence in many areas.
Promising heaven and earth, delivering pitiance, but expecting to be glorified like God.
He is only making moves now because of a selfish end towards 2015 and thanks to the gathering strength of the opposition.
A transformational president is not be too hard to spot.
GEJ is a pretender - but that doesn't mean there is nothing good about him.
We will recognize the little he has done well.
But for people to come online to tell us black is white, and white is black, when the true color is clear is very infuriating.

Afam4eva: I forgot to include your name cos from this your post, it seems you're no different. PDP people defend Jonathan when he is been accused likewise ACN supporters do for fashola. PDP supporters also beef projects executed by any ACN government so do ACN supporters do for PDP. They're all the same.

Keep comparing sleep to death.
Committees are good for what they are good for - like in this case where what is needed is for different parties to sit at a table and talk.
However, you cannot do everything by setting up committees like someone I know but would not name.

werepeLeri: I thought they said committees dont make things work?
