Nairaland GeneralRe: Who Is Sincere9gerian? by koruji(m): 2:27pm On Mar 09, 2013
I think you are wrong, they are not int he same league.
Eko-Ile, Gbawe and others promote actual projects backed with evidence.
Sincere9gerian, PapaBrowne and their cohorts simply want to protect the personality of GEJ - "the end justifies the means" is their moto.
You will be hard pressed to find the former boldfacedly lie about projects or try to con readers as to what is going on.
In contrast, the deceitful posts of the latter are easily found all over NL.

Afam4eva: Sincere9gerian and Beaf are to PDP what Gbawe and ekoile are to ACN. They're all guilty of the same crime and that crime is "PROPAGANDA".
PoliticsRe: President Jonathan's Best Statement Ever. by koruji(m): 2:18pm On Mar 09, 2013
It is not the best statement.
It is an irresponsible statement.
This is not how the president that wants a united nation talks.
Especially after letting his own inaction worsen the situation.

hillsate: Below is president GEJ's best and devoid-of-any-political-undertone statement ever.
He made the statement while reacting on Borno Elders forum call for withdrawal of JTF in Borno.
GEJ suddenly remembers he is C-IN-C.
I only wish he can muster enough courage to declare that on corruption.

On the removal of JTF, Jonathan said, “If anyone of you (referring to Borno Elders) wants the Federal Government to withdraw JTF troops from the state, he should come and sign an agreement that if anybody is killed after signing the document, I will hold you responsible according to the law of the land; I assure you that before I go back to Abuja all the JTF troops will leave the state."
PoliticsRe: Oshiomhole Commissions Remodelled Benin Airport, Hails Princess Oduah by koruji(m): 1:57pm On Mar 09, 2013
I am satisfied that something useful was done at the Benin airport having heard from someone trustworthy.

I hope PDP and the goons roaming all over the place behave like Oshiomole -focus on performance and comment accordingly. Oshiomole took Maku to school for his yeye governance tour but did not hesitate to commend this project.

Balance is what we need in Nigeria. Nobody should sell Nigerians snake oil or attempt to speak evil of clear excellence just because the gov. responsible is in APC.

Stop the lies e.g. the incessant completion of the Benin-Ore road. It simply paints the rest of your message bad.

PoliticsRe: Oodua Peoples Congress, Ijaw National Congress Back Jonathan For Second Term by koruji(m): 9:00pm On Mar 08, 2013
There is nothing like OPC-PDP. He didn't say he will vote for him, only affirming his right to run for a second term. Yorubas have always insisted on the rule of law and that includes the right to free and fair elections, and for qualified candidates to contest.

I just hope Fasehun is not so loud in supporting the Ijaw cause anymore. We were their strongest supporters over resource control only for Mr. Transformation to become an ingrate upon entering Aso Rock!

Afam4eva: There's OPC-PDP and OPC-OPC. OPC-PDP has spoken. let's hear from the real OPC. Oya, gani Adams over to you.
PoliticsRe: Benin Airport For Commissioning Tomorrow by koruji(m): 1:44pm On Mar 08, 2013
Glad, yes. But to be trumpetting these as some great "commissioned" projects is an example of the low standard Mr. GEJ calls "Transformation".

Let us have more eyewitness reports - GEJ 's propaganda goons are discredited paid hacks who will tell any tall stories to earn their pay.

Bawss1: Oh c'mon. Were you blindfolded before you arrived at the airport?

All Nigerians regardless of political affiliations should be glad that the airports are getting a much needed facelift.

I'm not a fan of GEJ and his fumbling ways but I gladly welcome all such projects (and indeed call for more) that make life better for everyone.
PoliticsRe: Benin Airport For Commissioning Tomorrow by koruji(m): 1:38pm On Mar 08, 2013
It is convenient for you, isn't it?
Concrete evidence is needed before I believe anything coming from GEJ's admin.
And you would know - you are one of those who "fixed the Benin-Ore" road. Meanwhile, your uncle is awarding a new contract to finish it in 2015 - although the road was already completed twice over by the voracious GEJ propaganda machine.
Nigerians are not deceived!!!!

Sincere 9gerian: Earlier in the year, 2013 was declared a year of harvest for the Jonathan's administration. So far, those who have kept faith with this govt have not been disappointed. Projects are being completed on a daily basis.

While intelligent haters have decided to stay away for now or waka pass some of these threads, the foolish ones are still loitering around, asking silly questions like "before and after pictures". They'll soon begin to ask for satellite pictures of projects. Such silly and ridiculous questions, emanating from confused persons, are BEST IGNORED.
PoliticsRe: Benin Airport For Commissioning Tomorrow by koruji(m): 6:38am On Mar 08, 2013
You are either faking or just unaware of how low the agents of GEJ are stooping. They have openly claimed at least two state, specifically ACN govs., projects for the FG. I can help you find it here on NL but I have a feeling u already know.

Thank you.
This is how PapaBrowne & the other 40 laptops pull Rabbits out of GEJ's hat on NL.
See my previous post for more evidence.

otokx: Some of those pictures are from the Lagos airport, why the deceit? God is watching. The Benin railway line is kinda careless talk, buy would over look that. Uniport is still in darkness - 15 days.
PoliticsRe: Benin Airport For Commissioning Tomorrow by koruji(m): 5:53am On Mar 08, 2013
I know the name I could call you, but let's keep this civil smiley

1. Uduaghan completed airport? You mean the mole hill he cleared with N7.4 billion counts as "completing" an airport? This is exactly the kind of phony-project- selling I spoke about. Uduaghan Explains N7.4b Asaba Airport Expenditure

2. You never repent. Sometimes you talk fundamentals but mostly you just push the same deceit that GEJ is now well-known for. I remember you, PapaBrowne, was one of the guys who participated in the series of "Benin-Ore" road episode here on Nairaland:
====> PapaBrowne completed Benin-Ore road in April 2011: Benin Ore Road Has Been Fixed!(Some pictures)
====> Benin-Ore road "fixed" by one of the 40 laptops: Dec. 26 2012 (almost 2years later!!!): Progress On Benin-ore Road
====> Meanwhile, Mr. Transformation must not have heard that the Benin-Ore road was completed in April 2011, and was making progress in Dec. 2012 because he just approved its completion in 2015 FEC approves completion of Benin-Ore Road

3. The front of the Benin airport is now different, but you posted "during" photos of the inside but not before. How do we tell Before & After. Still waiting for the After. It is likely that the "during" photo is actually the way things are right now - though it is being commissioned here on NL. Let's see more pictures. I would also like to know if this remodeling is increasing the capacity of the airport to handle traffic in anyway.

4. You are obviously living under a rock to not know about the 100s of major projects Fashola has completed in Lagos. You talk about the Lekki expressway as if that road had not being completed and already in operation. Can you spell the first suspension bridge in West Africa? Just to name a couple that put re-modeling of "terminals" to shame.

Go back to the time before GEJ became president to my optimism that the man really has what it takes to transform Nigeria - although my ultimate recommendation was to vote for Ribadu.

GEJ's very first action, and dozens since then, have showed quite clearly that he is not only a run-of-the-mill politician, but the worst of the worst.

Go on, hang your art on remodeling 11 already standing structures. That's like completing 11 primary school blocks. Go to Lagos and find out how many classrooms and schools Fashola has put in place in the last few years!

If I know GEJ and his ministers, save a few, these re-modeling ruse is a way to get some quick personal cash through "legitimate" means - the contractors handling these are circling back to the aviation minister is what I am saying or in Naija parlance the 10% harvest (which these days is probably more like 90%).

Nevertheless, it is good to make the airports more useful if that is what is going on here, kudos also if the Omotosho Power Plant is now completed. This is what I like to hear. I will never trust GEJ's claims without concrete evidence. But at this point there is really not much he can do, except Transform his own self, that would recommend him for a second term.

So Fashola shows before and after pictures?? Thats interesting oh. We will copy him and do just that so as to cure your irreparable pessimism!

And please, I was asking on another thread why Fashola has failed to complete any major project in the 6 years since he became Governor. Even bad Governors like Uduaghan can boast of a completed airport. 6 years after, no new BRT lanes. 6 years after, the phase one of the light rail is less than 20% complete. 6 years after Lagos-Badagry Expressway- less than 10% complete. Lekki Epe Expressway(52km) is taking 10 years already. Lekki Free Trade Zone is empty. We used to hear of deep sea port, greenfield refinery and one airport like that they want to build in Lekki--- all of them na inside paper them dey! 6 years and $30 Billion after??

Aviation minister has been here for just 2 years and 11 airports are almost completely remodelled, with plans to complete another 11 and build 5 new terminals.

Some before and during pictures for you. I am sure the after would be provided after the commissioning.

I'm pretty sure we will see many "after" pictures today.
PoliticsRe: Benin Airport For Commissioning Tomorrow by koruji(m): 3:04am On Mar 08, 2013
Before you guys kill yourself bragging about "commissioning" these terminals can we see the BEFORE & AFTER.
That is how Fashola does it, and it is especially important because GEJ commissioned the Enugu "Airport" when no aircraft could land mooons ago.
The FG is going around town selling dummy projects & stealing state govt. project.
The man promised airports in every state and is "commissioning" re-modeled terminals.
Yet the true sons of incompetence are here singing hallelujah.

Before and after pictures from those who know, NOW!!!

Incidentally, Mr. Maku was just in Benin and failed to provide us with a picture of this "gloriously" re-modeled terminal.

gramci: The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria will tomorrow commission the remodeled Benin Airport terminal in Benin City, Edo state.
The airport is the third to be commissioned among the 11 airports listed under the first phase of the Airport Remodelling Project.
The two already commissioned are the Murtala Muhammed Airport Domestic Terminal 1, on October 22, 2012 and the General Aviation Terminal of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on January 21st, 2013.
The remaining eight airports under the first phase, that is Kano, Yola, Kaduna, Calabar, Enugu, Jos, Owerri and Port Harcourt, which are at various stages of completion, will soon be commissioned, FAAN said.
The second phase of the project involving the remaining 11 airports in the country is expected to commence by mid 2013.

Neversaydie: Condemned Al-Mustapha Builds Multimillion Naira Mosque Inside Kirikiri Prisons …Invites Top Nigerians For Commissioning

To say that incarceration of Major Al-Mustapha has been a blessing for inmates in Kirikiri Maximum Prison at Ikoyi is not an overstatement. Though, members of family of the late Gen. Sani Abacha’s Chief Security Officer prayed and wanted their son and breadwinner to be set free and come back home safely. Different strokes, they say for different folks; for Kirikiri prisoners, Major Al-Mustapha is indeed a God-sent to them.

Reason being that ever since he was transferred to Kirikiri, the inmates have been milking from his kindness and directly or indirectly benefiting from those that visit him. However, latest information reaching us revealed that Major Al-Mustapha, irrespective of his present predicament, he’s still thankful to God and he has not abandoned God.

He is also said to have built a mosque inside the Kirikiri for other prisoners who are Muslims to be able to worship God and move closer to Him. Those who should know divulged to us that the mosque was commissioned few weeks back and some top dignitaries in the country were there to commission the mosque with AL-Mustapha. Our impeccable source intoned that some senators of the federal Republic of Nigeria and other important personalities in the country were on hand to cut the tape.

Lagos competing with FG?
You must be smoking leaves?

Before GEJ found his shoes Lagos has being performing. The one competing is the one copying projects or outright shamelessly stealing them. We all know who that is ? If you need examples I can indulge you but I know you know.

By the way, there is nothing wrong with competition. It can only help some docile arms of govt. to do something for the life of them.

Sincere 9gerian: "What is the tour supposed to achieve? Are they resolving problems at project sites? Where are their projects? What is the value of tour when you can't implement a budget? I can go on tour of projects because my budget performed 89 per cent last year"....Fashola

It's now obvious that Fashola thinks he's COMPETING with the federal govt. Is the state govt supposed to COMPETE with federal govt? This COMPETITION mentality is what has been causing schisms between federal govt and southwest state governors. The southwest governors are just being CHILDISH. There should be COLLABORATION between all tiers of govt to deliver services to the people, irrespective of party affiliation.

After all the president was in Lagos recently to flag off the Eko Atlantic city project.

GUNZnROSES: Thats a merger with the same old agenda. The end product of the unholy alliance is that they will teeter into a precipice of political abyss. Another 4 years of GEJ is better than 6 months of Buhari/APC. They have a faulty agenda which consolidates dependency and the government of lootocracy. A party agenda that does not encompass the middle class who are the main drivers of an economy should be dethroned and relegated to the pit of hell.

Think deeper.
The broom is not just a symbol of sweeping, although that is sorely needed in Nigeria.
The broom is also a powerful symbol of togetherness as in you could break each broomstick individually with ease
But you will find it very difficult to break the broom.

It is exactly the symbol Nigeria needs to move forward.
Sweep the house clean and unify.

The direction you thoughtless individuals are taking Nigeria is disastrous.
The other day it was the FG shutting down a radio station reporters discussed current events.
Now you want to blame ACN for terrorist detonating bombs while they were in town.

Let's see where this half-brain, knee-jerk behavior leads to.
Ah ah...the christians up north.
The christians up north must be blamed for holding meetings and "causing" loss of lives.
If they would stop worshiping their God as and when due we would not have all these loss of lives from church bombings.
Those "damn" chrstians up north!!!

See how retarded your fallacious reasoning is now?

gregg2: 13 people lost their lives in three separate
bomb attacks as a result of that political jamboree.

The visit was mere political so that ACN can come to say what they have just said now.
But which is better?
1) Losing 13 lives to bomb attacks as a result of the meeting and
2) Saving those lives by holding the meeting elsewhere

ACN are wicked souls playing politics with everything.
Will Lai Muhammed be saying the same thing if one of those killed as a
result of that meeting was his child or wife?

PRESIDENT Goodluck Jonathan has announced the setting up of Project Nollywood programme worth N3 billion, designed to assist the movie industry in the country and enhance its viability.
The president disclosed this at a dinner he held in honour of Nollywood stars to mark the 20 years of the industry at the State House, Marina, Lagos, on Saturday night.
He said the grant was in continuation of the desire of his administration to uplift the industry, which, he observed, could take over from the oil and gas industry in income generation for the country.
The special programme, according to him, would be formally launched in the first week of April.
He assured that his administration would continue to give the needed support to Nollywood, to enable it to take the Nigerian movie industry to greater height of success.
According to him, “I invited the private sector to this dinner, because I believe that they can also support the efforts to further develop the overall value chain of the industry.”
President Jonathan revealed that he had requested the NEXIM Bank and the Bank of Industry to give Nollywood more access loans.
Noting that the industry had already achieved great success in its 20 years of existence, Jonathan urged stakeholders not to rest on their laurels.
He commended Nollywood stars, musicians and sportsmen and women for putting the nation on the global stage by their hard work, describing the groups as the nation’s global brand.
Akwa Ibom State governor, Chief Godswill Akpabio, also on the occasion, announced the endowment of the Dr Goodluck Jonathan Prize for the best in the nation’s movie industry.
Akpabio said a total of N50 million would be committed into the award and requested the leadership of the industry to come up with the group that would coordinate it.
“I am the chairman of the newest forum in the arena of politics, the PDP Governors’ Forum. The first set of disciples of the president. We felt we must come together and rally support for the president, especially for his uncommon transformation agenda.
“Nollywood has come of age at 20. When the history of the success of Nollywood is being told, President Jonathan’s name will be mentioned,” he said.
Other dignitaries at the event were the wife of the president, Patience; Abia State governor, Chief Theodore Orji; Governor Martin Elechi of Ebonyi State; Governor Usman Dakingari of Kebbi State and ministers.

Otherwise, these unnecessary human sacrifices to half-done jobs will continue.
It doesn't matter whether it is Nigeria, USA, Britain, Germany, China or anywhere else people have the tendency to try outrunning an oncoming vehicle or train.
Hence, the crossing gates are needed wherever there is dense traffic like Lagos.
