OyigboUpdate:Joe Igbokwe and Loretta Onochie are also Igbos. |
showafrica:Bo one is talking about presidency here. At least not in a country filled with unreasonable, arrogant, ideologically, religious and culturally incompatible fulanis. Any Igbo man attempting or nursing the idea of being the president of Nigeria is doing so out of selfish and unrealistic personal ambitions...at least not in this political climate with all its self inflicted security issues, ethnic and religious differences. The fulanis should be grateful to the Yorubas. Once the Yorubas decides that they are done with Nigeria....a wild and vicious whirlwind will sweep the fulanis out of Nigeria. |
Arewa1stSon:There are decent accommodations to live in the south. Traditional laws prohibits stray animals, unauthorised rearing of animals and open glazing. Destruction of farmlands are serious offences. Visitors or strangers coming into town to occupy ancestral lands with bad sanitary habits are forbidden. Animals seen wandering in ancestral lands will be sacrificed to cleanse the lands of such atrocities. If you can’t abide by these, stay away from such places...if you can’t respect other people’s tradition, stay away. Defaulters and their animals will pay heavy prices. If you are comfortable with this, slam your head on the tarmac or any available rock, we don’t give a shioot. |
starbn:You are taking a big risk. Do not go to or travel to places that you are not sure of. Take this advice the way you’d take your father’s advice. If you haven’t sorted your accommodation, jobs and employment when you arrive Botswana, do not make that journey. This is the reason our people go into crimes out of frustration because it’ll definitely come. You’d be homeless, hungry with no money. I’m 80% sure that you are Igbo like me. The risks we take when travelling is out of this world. I’ve seen our people in places you’d not expect them to be. Please sort your accommodation and make sure your employment and residency is sorted before you make that journey. Canada needs Nigerians but you have to be qualified and fulfil the necessary requirements...same as Australia, New Zealand. If you are in the medical field, this might be the time to start thinking of looking for jobs in the UK. Disregard the bad news about UK, it’s a very nice place to be. Get that Gaborone nonsense out of your mind. That’s not a place to hustle. |
“The vast majority of Fulani are law-abiding and have rights to live lawfully wherever they can find means of subsistence. This is one of the problems. Living wherever they can find means of subsistence has been told them hence the entitlement mentality that encourages them to occupy ancestral lands. Other tribes seeks accommodation in government established places, pay rent and taxes and have proofs of addresses but fulanis will come into towns, locate lands, set up thatched houses, terrorise locals through rapes and kidnappings, destroy farmlands and disrespect local laws. Police do not arrest them. When they do, it’ll only be a place of refuge for the fulanis and a means to placate and distract the locals. Their Serikis are involved in kidnappings and negotiations and the ransom shared are laundered by the Serikis living in the towns. When trouble starts, you hardly hear the Fulani leaders addressing the Fulani violence and crimes on their host communities, they only talk about “not all fulanis are criminals”....because they are the ones who invite and accommodate the criminals and bandits from neighbouring African countries whom they exploit during elections and vendetta. Fulanis are the most unpatriotic group of people in Nigeria. They don’t really care about Nigeria. Their allegiance is to the tribe. The herdsmen only respect their Serikis and not the police. Their elite use the violence to psychologically control other parts of the country so they are all benefitting from the catastrophe that they unleash of law abiding Nigerians. It is easy for fulanis from Niger, Chad, Mali etc to become law makers, governors and even president of Nigeria than for an Igbo man, Ijaw or Yoruba man to become a local government chairman in Borno, Kano or Zamfara state. |
starbn:If you are making a travelling history and site seeing as you claimed then you shouldn’t be asking questions about hustling in Botswana. Enjoy your tourism, spend your money, get souvenirs and come back home. |
Abdulsaddiq:The knives that Fulanis used to inflict cuts on people will be used against them. Mark and Remember this. Anybody or group who claims not to forgive and forget will be haunted by the accumulated evils that they’ve committed and hunted by those whom they’ve perpetuated the evils against. My prayer for you is that you’ll live long to witness this. Those evil men who use their high positions to engage with and support the fulanis will be terribly affected. They will run to the seas for help but the seas will be boiling, they will run to the mountains for refuge but the mountains will be melting, they will head towards the direction which their ancestors came from but would not go far, they will be devoured by vultures, buzzards and hyenas. They will be overwhelmed by their own evil deeds. Mark this. |
OyigboUpdate:For someone like me who criticises Nnamdi Kanu, I have this to say to you... Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB, ESN and Igbos put food on your table. Nnamdi Kanu feeds you morning afternoon and night. Without Nnamdi Kanu, you are nothing. Without Nnamdi Kanu, you’ll be miserable, confused and very disoriented. All your social media engagements are centred around exploiting Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB news to earn money. Wishing Nnamdi Kanu failure is like committing suicide. You are nobody without Nnamdi Kanu. I don’t agree with some of the things I read from him on social media, I’ve been called names because of my stance but in your case, you are a hypocrite with a morbid affection for him which you’ve exploited to cash out. |
gannod:Anybody who criticise the fulanis/northern Nigeria is by default IPOB and Igbo. |
Fulanis need to be chased out of Nigeria. Miyetti allah is a rogue organisation filled with rogues and savages that draw Nigeria back. Nigeria can not progress with fulanis as leaders and it’s an insult for the fulanis to preside and decide the fate of millions of well educated and hardworking Nigerians. The Serikis are the regional commanders of these bandits. There is no evil perpetrated by the fulanis that they are not aware of. A day of reckoning will soon be there. |
NafeesaAA:Madam, why are you telling lies? Why are you denying your Fulani heritage and identity? |
Arewa1stSon:You savages should be chased out of Nigeria. You are cancer that must be excised. When that is done, Nigeria will be fumigated against the last remnants of you and your footprints erased. Then sane people will have peace and progress. |
Why is Rossikki not here? This is his sort of thread. |
Things should be done discreetly. The reason I don’t like this type of videos is that it lets your enemy monitor your actions. When Wakili mobilised his band of thugs, no one knew about it. You could see strange people or observe movements but they don’t broadcast it. The police and military are actively involved. They support them. Amongst Wakili thugs would trusted and tested bandits and Boko haram members...these group of people could be roasted if adequate preparations are done. This is not a campaign for local hunters with animals horns and sea shells dangling on their necks. Boys need weapons and a little motivation. Wakili is not a ghost. He can be flogged out of the forest and made to pay for his atrocities. |
Cocoa tree in my opinion has always been a symbol of wealth and industry to the Yorubas just like palm trees to the Igbos. I feel bad reading that an individual and his band of thugs are cutting these trees down for whatever reasons. This is not just an affront. It is very disrespectful and embarrassing that nothing has been done to punish him. Imagine a Yoruba man or Igbo man attempting this in the north? Military helicopters would have been hovering all over the area. Counter terrorism squad would have been sent in to decimate him and his notorious gang members. How can a Fulani man mount a no cross barrier sign in another man’s land? If this is not a call to war, I don’t know what is. Not every action should be treated with dialogue. This type lunacy should be treated with a higher form of insanity. For all of you thinking that this is a Yoruba or south west problem alone, I say sorry, it’s a virus that will spread and affect every part of Nigeria if the antidote vaccine isn’t applied in the south west now. They are all over the country hibernating waiting to activate. Let’s check it now. Delays through useless political talks from politicians is dangerous. It’s time for men to rise and look the federal government and their agents of evil and destruction and tell them enough is enough. Those mischievously bantering and cursing on each other need to put their differences aside and fight this cancer. This evil thrives because of our common individual stupidity and weaknesses. A stitch in time saves nine. |
I pray for the day southerners will unite and deal decisively with the Fulani bandits. This is not a fight for the Yorubas alone. Fulanis are savages, I know they will attack innocent people living in the north soon. This is not a fight for Igboho and his supporters alone. Fulanis are bringing in mercenaries from other west African countries then motivate them with that nonsense slogan that Fulanis don’t forgive...to hell with them. It’s time to take action and if it’s possible to join and support Igboho, I will like to assist and everyone need to join in this fight. Let’s do it now. |
Revelation2021:Mask equals Mark?? Just as Trump equals Trumpet?? You are very confused and should be sectioned. You are a danger to yourself and the society. |
Tajbol4splend:Those are the people at the helm of affairs in this country. I wonder how these people think...from Sultan to the silly Fulani navy officer and not to this man. Why do they keep coming out with nonsense. Igbos and other non indigenes have houses, pay rent and live peacefully with others. Fulanis will occupy ancestral lands, erect huts and mess up the places with all sorts of rubbish and filth...then when they’ve settled, they’ll start molesting local women, banditry and destruction of farm lands. What is wrong with fulanis? Gov Akeredolu ordered illegal occupiers in the forest reserves to vacate the forests and Fulani leaders have changed the narratives that they were being persecuted...Fulani should speak out and take actions against their bandits but here they are protecting them. |
Aconomist:I was shocked when I saw N336 billion |
Juliusmalema:The length of the old bridge is 1400m or 1.4km while the length of the new or second Niger bridge is 1603m or 1.6km. Where and how did you get the additional 7.4km Modified...The total length of the bridge including the road leading to it was never mentioned anywhere. It’ll be nice to see the photos if anyone has it. |
Uche352:Asking you to grow up isn’t an insult. If you can grow and rise above petty tribalism here, it’ll do you a lot of good. A few idiots making fun shouldn’t force you if you are mature to go down that ignominious route. Kanu was one of the most hated Igbos but watch his interviews with Dele Momodu and Pa Adebanjo. I was surprised to see such support from an elder and a respected man like Adebanjo...if a few kids here whom you aren’t even sure were Yorubas throw silly banters, you shouldn’t be tempted all the time to assume their ethnicity and start insulting and making fun of the current events in the south west. Like I said, Nairaland is just one of the social media outlets and this platform shouldn’t define who you are and what you know. The world out there is big. I support ESN but not the noise that accompanies the videos. We should be not be biased. I like the project and do hope that they succeed. Don’t judge people based on the bad news that you hear about them and how they are handling it. If a Yoruba person mocks the Obigbo troubles, it doesn’t mean you should mock the Ibarapa people who might not even know about Osewa and Nairaland. |
favor914:I think the guy you quoted should be popping champagne. God works in mysterious ways. 2003 was 18 years ago... you meant 2023 I guess...that hbp will be reserved for you. |
jtjohn:They are not weak rather they are mischievous and wicked. They knew the right things to do to end the perennial conflict between herdsmen and farmers but won’t do it because herdsmen are being protected and the cattle are owned by them. The practice ensures that they and their herdsmen don’t pay tax. In the past, federal govt contemplated sending the military to various countries to learn modern way of ranching...there was uproar, some senators fumed and argued that cattle business was a private one...why involved the military and of all the places and reasons to send the military abroad...it would be to learn cattle ranching...other countries send their military overseas to interact with their colleagues to learn various ways of engaging in conflicts and suppressing insurgence, Nigeria Army under Buratai wanted to train the Army in ranching...one of the reasons Kanu hyped the volume in calling Nigeria a zoo. I respect Sunday Igboho for his role so far. Wakilu or not, Igboho has achieved what politicians couldn’t achieve... lately is the ESN, their method is a bit too radical and loud. If that doesn’t plunge Nigeria into another civil war, then we might have had the answer to decades of herdsmen vs farmers clashes. Buratai and Buhari should be blamed. They have been protecting the fulanis and arguing that the problem is older than Nigeria...therefore as long as the farmers down south are the ones at the receiving end, there’s no problem. Mind you, the problem isn’t just the herdsmen vs farmers clashes but the side hustles which the herdsmen and their bandit brothers introduced into it...they have turned kidnappings, rapes and mindless violence into daily habits. |
ImperialYoruba:It’s the police, military and presidency that encourage them to commit atrocities. Why do you think they brag about police releasing them when they are caught? I remember the mile 12 riot few years ago, police gave them escort as they go round the neighbourhood burning committing arson. We’ve read about locals raising alarms of helicopters making drops deep into the forests. This was more than 6 years ago. Nigerians need to wake up. |
They shouldn’t have killed those cows. Dislodge the fulanis from the lands, let them live more habitable places like other law abiding people but the animals shouldn’t have been slaughtered. |
I don’t support the illegal occupation of people’s lands. I don’t support fulanis setting up illegal camps like gypsies in other people’s ancestral lands. I don’t support the influx of herdsmen and their their brothers from other parts of west Africa and the support from Nigeria federal government with its police and military but I’m concerned about this video. I saw so much anger. The governors must act now. This is an emergency situation. I also didn’t like the rhetorics of the female voice in the video. There are something’s that are better not said. Fulanis need to stop illegal occupation of people’s lands. They should stop the kidnappings and other evils that they do. I think they have become used to kidnappings, raping of local women in the farms and streams and the usual murdering of locals in Bush paths and forests. These have become habits to them. I see war. I see bloodsheds. |
Qelvin:I don’t know how old you are but you need to grow up. |
Qelvin:Leave tribalism bro...Wakilu or whatever he calls himself won’t be a match if the Igboho of a man comes for him. SW is Igboho’s turf and he has support. Federal government and Miyetti Alla in connivance with Fulani elite made up of their men in the military past and present, businessmen etc are the problem. There is trouble brewing and about to explode but rather than federal govt prioritising this and beefing up security there, they are all presenting this Wakilu of a thug to scare indigenes. It will backfire on the federal government and miyetti allah Sultan of sokoto isn’t condemning the atrocities of the Fulani criminals rather he made a public speech to say he was Fulani and not a criminal, one retired naval officer came out to say the same but neither has been brave to condemn their bandits because they directly and indirectly support the nationwide catastrophe which these group inflict on Nigerians. How many times have you seen or read about captured kidnappers of Fulani extraction boasting that police won’t do anything to them?? Fact. The guy caught in delta state said openly on video that police can’t do them anything, the Fulani guy caught with a Yoruba boy who killed his nephews while attempting to get ransom off his elder brother assured the Yoruba accomplice that police will release them, A Fulani guy destroying farmland in Anambra openly threatened to use the police on the farmer, he also threatened to kill him. Are we blind to see all these?? Are we under some spell, police and the army accompanied the Fulani herdsmen back to their prohibited grazing fields and we are still asking silly questions. It is inhuman and wicked to use constituted authority to favour a certain group of people who constitute menace while punishing innocent and law abiding groups for resisting the criminal elements. What does that tell you?? Are we not seeing the handwritings on the wall? How bold, magnified and highlighted do we want those warning graphics to be before we act?? Those thinking that this is a SW problem alone better wake up. |
jumper524:3 people were paid N6k for hard labour from 06:00-14:00.... That’s N2k each for 8 hours of back breaking job!! People dey suffer. |
I don’t believe that. Like many bloggers writing sensational stories to attract people to their blog site... Like some bored individuals who chat with themselves using two phones... I don’t believe the above. I think it was done to attract audience to the show. |
This matter should’ve been settled out of court. Dangote’s solicitors are not giving him the best advices. I think his lawyers are exploiting this to milk him. He would end up spending more money to fight a useless battle against a miss nobody Spikes who is about to get very popular and very rich. She would sell books, talk shows will invite her. She might spill lots of lies from describing Dangote’s gbola to how he snores after cumming in 59 secs. |
