Upgrading the NCAT isn't necessarily a good idea if it isn't managed properly. However the maritime Academy scrapping is neither here nor there, when our sea Commerce rises we will need more man power. It would be a shame for people to keep going out the country to learn then. But that's still some time away, so the minister is justified in cancelling it.

Nowhere did i castigate education. What i spoke against was an educational policy that is not targeted towards STEM courses or specialities.
Debating skills or whatever is not what anambra or even the african continent needs.

Of what use is this? Debates, good and noble as they are, is not a priority or a educational necessity with respect to the societal and developmental need of the eastern region today.
Too much talk and very little technical output is one of the problems of the african continent.
Anambra and the entire eastern region need to focus on STEM courses and technical aptitude to propel the region to home-grown industrialization even in the midst of surrounding backwardness in a potentially failed nation state.
