I Lost Confidence In My Girlfriend The Moment She Asked Me To Marry For My Mother.

I had a girlfriend some few months back before the covid 19 outbreak, that was after we went home from school due to the strike and the pandemic, we both are in the same school which is IBB university lapai, in our final.

So at home this faithful day, I put a call through! We both were talking, laughing on phone, so she ask about my mum, I said she was fine and she now ask abt her loneliness because no one at home, I told her but I'm still here with her, she ask what if school resume and what if we should go for our service next year, she now told me to marry another man for my mum.... lol... telling me who knows" that my mum might like the idea if I should table it with her. Gosh! I actually laughed about it then on phone with her but inside me, it wasn't funny at all.

The next day, what she told me was still bordering me, so many things were just running on my mind...so even if by mistake I wife her in future and the Lord decide to take me when we have a grown up child like me, who is planning on becoming a graduate this year and have even spent 30 years in marriage already....she won't even mourn me for long before accepting another man's proposal or bleeping with another man or probably her one time ex.

I decided to ask my mum with play, mum be sincere to me, you and my dad have been married since far back 1986... U both were in marriage for about 30 yrs before he past away few years ago, may his soul rest in peace..this is 5yrs now are you considering on marrying any one or having any kind of body movement or even can stand the presence of another man in your life?

Guess what her reply was....
Mum said my dad was the only man she know in her life and that's how it going to remain by God grace, period! and I shouldn't ask her such again with cry/smiles on her face because she has me and I will give her groundchil........

Seriously I don't know why I brought this here but pls tell me, any girl that can ask a 52 Year old woman to re_marry even after she has a child, isn't it clear that she can't stay without having sex to anyone as long as her husband is on a peace keeping mission or even travel abroad?

At this stage of my life when am still on the journey of my dream is when I thought am suppose to find a true lover who will be with me and enjoy the fruit our labour in the future but the opposite is the case because ladies am meeting and dating are all after the here and now, even the ones that pretend to love you will start showing you their real character after few moment in the relationship.
Am not poor, I can provide the basics of my life and even for my siblings but I cant call myself rich for now because am still young and building my future.

I dont think I will ever love or be committed to any woman if I become rich and successful in the future because when I needed true love must have past by. I may just have baby mamas, sex mates but not any lady I will ever call a lover. Even if I eventually marry I wont be committed to her because I know she never came into my life when I was still struggling.

You'd have a case if I said, If I said no king has any servant he does not trust...what I said was that many Kings have servants they do not trust! As long as they do they jobs, the kings don't have to trust them and I gave the instance of the Israelites whom the king of Egypt distrusted yet kept feeding and taking good care of them to illustrate my point. Note "trust" in this case doesn't mean that regarding servants serving their purpose, but that which involves putting your whole hopes and faith in something as your lord, master and savior as y'all do to science and we do to God. That's the trust implied here. So please spare me your own definition of trust as if it's exclusive to you. I can't believe that someone could possibly argue the undeniable fact that Jesus the King of Kings distrusted Judas Iscariot one of His servants... that's blind argument sir. Haba, it would been more honorable for you if you just quit after that absolutely debunked your idea that a servant must be trusted. Instead of cherry picking one or two more incidents in the Bible which you think supports your argument, why not just state plainly if you believe no king in the history of the world ever had a servant that he distrusted? This topic might sound familiar to some old timers who are acquainted with one of the most popular songs of world renowned gospel artist Bob Fitts which goes like this:

Some may trust in horses,
some may trust in chariots,
but we will trust in the name of our God...

So it's just a rephrase of the original song lyrics, however the concept remains the same. Not trusting in 'horses or chariots' doesn't mean 'we' don't use 'horses or chariots'...Yes we may use 'horses and chariots' to serve their purposes in our lives, but WE DON'T TRUST IN THEM as some do! That's the difference. We put our trust in the Lord our God who Created them all.

The same applies to science and technology...we don't put our trust in them even though we use them, because we view them merely as servants which are meant to serve their respective purposes in our lives.

Our trust is in the Lord our God, the Creator of the heavens and the Earth and everything in it, which is what science actually learns from. So when science fails, we don't get stranded and hopeless as those who put their trust in science, because our hopes and trust transcends beyond the scope of fallible science unto the Lord our God who never fails.

With my personal Experience, Observation and inner conviction, I think I dont want to be part of any religion again. This thing is truely an opium of illusion meant for people who cant take their destiny in their hands and for a sheeple masses.

Despite withdrawing from religion I found myself even having a better moral compass which I cant explain. We are throwing away common sense, hardwork and universal principles to leave in illusion. At the end of my observation I have come to the conclusion that its what you do for yourself that counts more.

When I see poor people dying of hungry in a country which have the capacity to be the global industrial hub I know we have throw away common sense, Nigeria biggest investment to South Africa is Religious buildings (Church) while here in Nigeria the South Africans brought us MTN, DSTV, SHOP RITE e.t.c which employs thousands of people and gives profit to our Investors inventing in the stocks and shares of those companies I realise religion is lack of common sense.

No amount of religion can make you succesful without application of common sense.
No amount of religion can make your marriage succesful without application of common sense and consideration for your partner.
No amount of religion can a nation grow and prosper without application of common sense, productivity and good policies.

At the end of it I think am leaving religion, its not worth it. Even uprightness and moral comes from a person inner conviction and not because of religion.
