Moreso, you want someone to follow a route others followed in a Country where the rule of law is not obeyed, where there is no equity and justice Com'on... Now with this path of theirs, has 'Sunday or Nnamdi' achieve their aim(Yoruba Nation or Biafra Nation)? |

Glink2018: Slowspoke , we sack Gej because of his failure records and we voted for Buhari based on a promise to fight corruption and insecurity....don't drag us backward again... Instead of positive change, his government made us divide than unite...by some uncouth comments he has made to some tribe ... You're out of point Mr Slowpoke!! You sacked Jonathan, then why secession agitation now? why can't you do the same sacking to Buhari and APC? |
Politics › Re: Abbas Tafida: Taraba Emir Gives Herdsmen 30-Day Ultimatum To Vacate Forests by Kuginzi: 3:18pm On Jul 22, 2021 |
Glink2018: What is this slowpoke saying....this your comment lacks common sense. Im sorry but I have to say the truth
it is the security insecurity, inequality, and injustice that led to Biafra and Oodua's agitation...if there is security and a good justice system there wouldn't be anything like killer herdsmen. The question is what has Buhari done about it? Instead, he called some tribe dot in a circle and sing the music they will understand . I'm sorry, you're the real slowpoke. If insecurity led to Biafra and Oodua agitation, then why didn't IPOBs and Igboho agitate during Jonathan Administration, even when Shekau has captured almost every town in the North, and militants kidnapping of expatriates in the South(Militants were mini lords and were untouchable during GEJ adminstration) and Farmers/Herders crisis in the middle belt? This is purely Hypocrisy!! |

adioolayi: What do you mean by "Swiftly" He should wait till all his kinsmen are wiped off the surface of the earth If you can't beat them...don't join them..just be on your own..That's the way to go. He can't fight the Government..but can decide to be on his own Is that how to fight for secession? Has he now achieve his aim? Many people did their bit, big or small, to ensure the demise of apartheid. But Igboho did not follow the path of the struggle stalwarts such as Oliver Tambo, Peter Abrahams, Nelson Mandela and more, they are well known people, whose contribution to freedom you might not know. |

adioolayi: Exactly why Igboho is now enemy of state...
He also asked for Government interventions..Non was forthcoming...
He asked that Fulani herdsmen should leave his home town and Southwest, since they are no more peaceful, but engaged in destruction of farms, kidnapping and r.ape.... Government kept mute..
He forcefully ejected some Fulani herdsmen..then he becomes enemy of State...
When he saw that the FG was hell bent on protecting their own....He simply asked for Yorubas Nation.
Now, the FG is dwelling on the last... without addressing what brought about the agitation...
God dey.
I hope this Traba Emir will be arrested...to keep the herdsmen happy... Nonsense But the Emir is not agitating for secession unlike Igboho and his supporters took the battle to end the herdsmen crisis on their shoulders but later spoilt everything. From campaign against killer herders to Yoruba Nation agitation – To many, how Sunday Igboho changed so swiftly from being an activist fighting against killer herdsmen to being a freedom fighter remains a mystery. |

Politics › How INTERPOL Arrested Sunday Igboho, Wife In Benin Republic – Lawyer by Kuginzi(op): 6:39am On Jul 22, 2021 |
Yomi Alliyu, the lead counsel to the Yoruba Nation Activist, Sunday Adeyemo, otherwise known as Sunday Igboho, has said that it was the International Criminal Police Organisation which arrested Igboho alongside his wife, Ropo, in Cotonou, Benin Republic.
According to him, the Federal Government of Nigeria through INTERPOL got Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho, who is a German citizen, and his wife arrested on Monday night at an airport in Benin Republic, one of Nigeria’s neighbouring countries in the West African sub-region.
Igboho was arrested while he tried to catch a flight to Germany with his wife.
The senior advocate urged the government of Germany, Benin Republic and the international community “to rise up and curb the impunity of the Nigerian Government by refusing any application for extradition of our Client who already has application before the International Criminal Court duly acknowledged”.
The Federal Government of Nigeria had placed the Nigeria Immigration Service and the Nigeria Customs Service on alert to stop Igboho from leaving the country.
A source privy to his departure from Nigeria on Monday had told SaharaReporters that Igboho tried to leave Nigeria through Cotonou and was heading to Germany.
He was, however, nabbed by security operatives in the neighboring country.
Speaking with SaharaReporters, a source privy to the incident, had said, "Sunday Igboho has been arrested in Cotonou. He was arrested about an hour ago. He was supposed to travel to Germany through Cotonou this night. He wanted to leave Africa through Cotonou. He was arrested by security operatives in Cotonou.
"They are planning to bring him back to Nigeria."

Politics › Igboho Wept Like A Child, His Wife Was Crying Too - Lawyer by Kuginzi(op): 7:24am On Jul 21, 2021 |
Lead counsel for arrested Yoruba Nation activist Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho, has described as inhuman, the treatment his client was being subjected to in the custody of the police in Benin Republic.
The counsel, Chief Yomi Alliyu ( SAN), said this while speaking with The PUNCH on Tuesday night.
He said Igboho’s wife, Ropo, a German citizen, who was arrested together with the activist, was also kept in a separate cell by the police in the neighbouring country.
He said, “They chained him in the cell where they put him in Cotonou. There was a fracas at the airport yesterday when he was arrested. They hit him in the hand and that same hand was handcuffed, he is in pains and he was weeping like a child when I called, I heard him.
“The wife too was put in a separate cell but they didn’t chain the wife. He was crying, the wife was crying too cease he was writhing in pains seriously. We only pray they don’t pay anybody to kill him. You don’t out somebody in cell and still chain the person.
“You know he sustained injury and they didn’t take him to hospital for treatment. We heard that he is appearing in court tomorrow but I don’t know whether that will carry it out.”
The PUNCH learnt that Nigeria’s Ambassador to the Benin Republic, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai (retd.), has been pushing for the extradition of Igboho and his wife to Nigeria. https://www.google.com/amp/s/punchng.com/igboho-wept-like-a-child-when-i-spoke-with-him-on-phone-lawyer/%3famp
