we are really good at analysing stuff in naija, but when are we going to do something about it?? can you see what is happening in iran, that is what we need.a persistent confrontation with this mediocre r.e.t.a.r.d.s that call themselves leaders.

now i have accepted that the only consolation for naija is the impending judgement from God and i guess that is more than enough to deal with this people.

the bible says a good name is better than many riches and if all these allegations are true, madam ibru definitely never saw that verse in her own bible and if she read it,she never did understand it.the ibrus no doubt are a very wealthy clan going as far back as the late 60s but fast forward a few decades and a new wife for the family patriarch and what do you get. DISASTER!

I wonder if her sons will still flaunt their privileged pedigree after all these revelations.na waa for naija ooooooooo.

FamilyRe: Do you ever think Marriage Is Overrated? by kushe: 2:13am On Dec 31, 2009
i guess marriage is cool, the problem is the over supply of women.why would a guy want to marry when with the aid of technology he can have 4 pseudo wives who are totally unaware of the existence of the others.the moment you marry one however you become an adulterer.

seriously if you have an iota of womanizing in you,no marry cos as your wife dey throw bouquet for reception naa im you go dey identify all the could hav beens supposing you never commit.

why do you think the couple face the altar for most of the church service?cos if the guy face congregation he fit see in old runs or fresh fish straight from the cooler, say i dont and i changed my mind even before pastor ask.

trailing her thoughts and modes of expressing her opinion this is what i think of mama gee. grew up in nigeria and probably onitsha, enugu or aba you know dem parts. probably went to A GOOD BOARDING SCHOOL  most likely all female in  nigeria and not yankee or jand.

she definitely didnt graduate after 97 cos i think she's like 28 and for funny reasons i just feel she went to one of those backyard colleges if she has a higher diploma that is, and finally if she is the one in the picture i will instantly wire 10,000 dollars to her for attempting to be beautiful but i can bet a gazillion dollars she aint the one in the picture. as usual its just my opinion.
HealthRe: Why Do Most Nigerian Men Have Bad Body Odour? by kushe: 1:15am On Dec 31, 2009
@mama gee

u are quite a sensation here which just goes to say u are more secretly admired than you will ever hear all the peeps all over your tail admit.

do naija men smell awful? i guess a tiny fraction does especially those that have the misfortune of having bad friends and relatives who endure the stench whenever they are around and run the same old commentary when they go like 'men, that guy dey boom ooo'

women however do smell too.mindfully a tiny fraction too.once had a date with the most amazing looking chick[body wise] a couple of years back in lagos,i met her on the street and so the stench waint perceivable and besides she looked too hot to smell.got her no and arranged a date.our chosen day came and unfortunately it was ralning but thankfully my car was air conditioned and so i went to pick her up.

long story short, worst date of my entire life cos i couldnt breathe and i couldnt wind down either and this girl was so cocky with the attitude like she was prince william's cousin.we went to a chicken licken in surulere and i was just praying no one i knew walked in and saw me standing close to the source of the stench .thankfully the rain kept people away but made my date unbearable and miserable.

guess what.her spoken english was a 9,she went to QC ,her body was like 9.5ish and on the stankometer ,she broke the calibration.
CultureRe: Why Do Girls Form Fake Accent Anyways? by kushe: 10:14pm On Dec 30, 2009
if you must speak with an accent, make sure it tallies with where you live, learn the rudiments ,the slangs, practice in front of a mirror for a bit, freestyle around close friends and family that wont run you down but rather correct you.after building some confidence, enjoy.
CultureRe: Why Do Girls Form Fake Accent Anyways? by kushe: 1:50pm On Dec 30, 2009
in jand or yankee you can have tonnes of accents in a particular area depending on where you grew up. e.g new york has the bronx accent  different from brooklyn while the east london accent is different from west london and a basic ingredient of accents is the use of slags to shorten conversation.

you cant speak mid western, southern, british cockney and south african all together.unfortunately that is what most nigerians do and eventho some of us can pick accents even when they whisper ,we still love our naija chicks shaaaa.
CultureRe: Why Do Girls Form Fake Accent Anyways? by kushe: 1:39pm On Dec 30, 2009
a little education, accents are developed during formative years and are easily influenced by the environment right through the teen years.that is why we have accents of where we grew up e.g a yoruba girl having the ibo accent cos her dad lived in aba or enugu .

there is usually a cut off point after which your accent can only change with only a little alteration to your phonation.this usually happens early to mid twenties therefore most nigerians that start speaking 'fonee' mid twenties cos they hav now done masters in jand or yankee have a very fake accent you can hardly place.however those that came here mid teens like after secondary school can still develop the prevailing accent of their environment like if they go to college for a levels and work.

for those in nigeria with the accent, lets just call it the altered naija accent cos you hear all sorts in one conversation.it amazes me when someone who has never lived in america throws in a little brooklyn with the h factor british accent.'wanna get a glass of wahaa?  NAIJA.

if dr mutallab's wealth is to blame for farouq's maladventeure well the following have been levelled against poverty

1] the existence of all the area boys and agberos in lagos
2]that girl in a strange man's bed somewhere in lagos or abuja as i type becos of moneey
3]the armed robber who raped a gorgeous new bride and shot her husband as she watched
4]that almost infantile boy knocked down by a danfo bus last week while hawking gala in lagos
5]the man who wathced his wife die of a diabetic leg ulcer cos the poor people told him it was witchcraft
6] 100 living souls in a tenement bungalow all sharing a toilet and bathroom
7]the thieving politician with the scarcity mentality and hence the need to amass for his great grand children
8]all the hardened criminals in jail

the list is endless ,so would you rather have a rare case of a farouq or the everyday misbehaving offsprings of povertyhuh

have some of the folks here ever heard of the individuality of the human mind?

simple one.harry and william get the same mama wey paparazzi kill by accident.they have the same stiff upper lip grandmama and went to eton, live in sheer opulence like british royalty should but until recently wetin do harry?meanwhile william according to an opinion poll was more favoured as king over in own popsie.for those of you who dont read the news let me put it quite simply, before joining the army prince harry was kinda like ''FAROUKING'' or misbehaving and so do we blame the queen or prince charles for raising a neonazi british heir to the throne or how do you explain harry's swastika armband he wore to a costume parry after everything wey hitler show churchill and in grandmama?

an internet forum like this gives us all a chance to air our views but at the same time reveals how mediocre some folks are when it comes to making sense.how can you blame anyone for being well off and having the ability to send his child to an ivy league uni.must we all suffer ,pant and fast to experience what others can easily afford?must we all be on the same level?isn,t nature supposed to reward the not so faint hearted.why are a lot of the disrespectful malodorous matter filled oral orifices possessing nairalanders in the diaspora anyways,is it to have a worse lifehuh

yet you castigate one who has experienced your own dreams by becoming part of the top echelon of society thereby allowing him to give his family the best life can afford him.must everyone in london live in peckham?a mediocre mindset will never allow any of you bashers here on nairaland change your postcode to say a W1 in london or an old ikoyi in lagos.

inferiority infested pigs seek every opportunity to slay rich people and claim they all looted naija money.how about those that never worked in government or never handled other people's money and yet can afford to live next to the queenhuh

oma see oo! misery as they say loves company.a lot of folks have come from the gutter and are out of the gutter but their minds never left, always seeing tadpoles and spirogyra , perpetually inhaling the stench and drinking other people's piss.

ANYONE WHO HATES RICH PEOPLE DOES NOT DESERVE TO SERVE AT THEIR TABLE TALKLESS OF EXPERIENCE WHAT IT FEELS LIKE TO BE PRIVILEGED!!!

9ice simply was not prepared for the chapter after gongo aso meanwhile banky w did some work researching the sound for 2010 and for me no disrespect to any other artist, this guy seems the most serious about his music as a career.i will probably dance to strong ting with my wife on my 80th birthday. ki ma toju e looooo, titi lai lai . IS THERE A CREATIVITY CURSE WITH PROMINENT ARTISTShuh

I know homeboy has received enuf bashing already but 9ice the beloved you have disappointed quite a few of us.This is my take and take note cos if banky w and eldee can come up with amazing follow ups to critically acclaimed stuff then you guys all bringing out garbage ought to take note.why i know mention timaya, the perfect companion for a lagos ibadan expressway that might hav thoughtless traffic,[everybody carry cutlass eee, jehovah dey by my side eeee, lai lai i no go last eeeee,my own don better eeeeeee, ]

people anticipated gongo aso the album like crazy after the single and the album killed the single and not vice versa.i feel 9ice was not prepared for the storm he had created especially with a gazillion young bros doing the 9ice thingy[jaywon ,isolate ]and his creative recess was too long.
Artists are to strike when the iron is hottest i.e when their creative juices are still flowing and for that reason they should never be far from an audience and the studio.tours are not just for making money like naija artists have turned it into, you need to tour to feed on the energy of the audience and watch out for the songs they clamour for and what songs they know the words cos this gives you a hint if you need commercial acclaim.if however you are into genre bending and critical acclaim you might lose your audience.

I cannot count how many artists in the states claim to have written classic songs and albums on their tour bus cos the energy around touring is creative.naija artists pls start touring and stop playing shows for the highest payer.the moment light improves and the technology is rampant people are going to stop buying CDs and simply search the internet for what is hot and listen for free.you naa still dey shout piracy well you aint seen nothing yet cos the phenomenon is not going to get worse it is going to get ridiculous.

@blackcypha,i quite agree with you about the us not needing our oil,but the whole green thing aint happening till the last oil well runs dry.i hate hearing the whole green energy and climate change rubbish.i aint no scholar in this regard but it is so overrated and some folk are beginning to make money off it.are you following the coppenhagen thingy? now they want 600 billion annually to mitigate the effect of climate change on developing countries and if that happens guess what will happen? YARADUA GETS SPECIAL ADVISER ON CLIMATIC CHANGE MATTERS .Apart from the oyibo gift, dem go budget a few hundreds of billions and a few PDP chieftains go meet over sharing formula and the money go disfarahan.senate go call for enquiry and minister or special adviser go say,una know dey watch CNN,the climate is changing and as usual END OF STORY.

after pulling out of afghanistan, the next war the US will fight will have to be prompted by aggression against Israel.the current recession has totally wiped out the cause of the current xcapades of the us in the middle east and americans have moved on.9/11 is so totally forgotten that it might take another attack to wake america up but then america cannot afford another war now and they are definitely not suffering from exurberance if not dem for don bomb hugo chavez the hell ranting attention seeking venezuelan president who jettisoned previous joint venture arrangements between his government and oil majors only to increase his government's stake.let me break it down.hugo chavez is an adams oshiomole type figure,he becomes president and after says to chevron, mobil, agip and texaco i know you guys have sunk money here year in year out in the truckloads and as such you get 40%,but you know what you thieving MFs are gonna hav to make do with 15% and if you dont like it you can go to hell.he did it and the likes of conocophilips had to leave venezuela leaving all their assetts to the man with the worst arsenal of anti us rhetoric in recent times and NOTHING HAPPENED.how far is venezuela from the us?

i love the controversy generated by this thread and FYI dumb ,childish postulators believe the US will come to nigeria,on top wetin[2 million barrels per day].do you know one oil well in california produces 220 million barrels a year and still has 3.5 billion in reserves.now there are other oil fields in california talkless of texas, the coast off new orleans, alaska etc.naija oil is good but insignificant when angola and ghana are rapidly moving up the charts to dilute our power.very soon togo and cotonu will discover oil and naija people go dey go do omo odo for togo as we havent enough sense to manage our resources. but the us aint coming no where  near here.why didn't they  rescue liberia their former colony during their civil war and besides naija is too far without a us base around here!

@ezan,sorry to hav thrown religion into it quite a bit but some things just dont make sense naturally and that is why i believe beyond a shadow of a doubt america will bounce back.ENgland was bankrupt in the late 30s and couldn't fund its war with hitler till they cajoled america to supply weapons in cash backed transactions and america distanced itself cos it was just recovering from the great depression and then PEARL HARBOUR.
Ironically after joining the war America prospered the more despite sending a major part of its work force off to europe and the pacifics.England despite losing its empire status after the war with successive independence of its former colonies began to prosper again.America might be on a long recess but this financial crisis is no where as near the great depression as you can lmagine.crunch the figures and see proof cos america will definitely bounce back.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria’s Losing Its Importance In The World, US Envoys Warn by kushe: 9:25am On Dec 16, 2009
@ezan ,quite intelligent postulations but i dont quite agree the us is done yet.the next few years will be tough for obama but there is something spiritual about the us economy that a lot of people overlook and that china may never understand and it has to do with the jews.check the american financial power brokers and check their ancestry,a lot of them are jewish.europe prospered while the jews made it their home and with the emigrtion to the states at the beginning of the last century, america prospered.have you ever wondered what it is with america and Israel.which resource does israel have and why would america stick with a government at loggerheads with a saudi and most of the major arab oil producers?
israel carries economic value that a Harvard phd or a Carnegie fellow cannot decipher using economics and international relations and it is called THE BLESSING. America understands it and has tapped into it,that is why israel can do any and everything and get away with it and america will turn their face away.you let any country including china invade israel and see what will happen.WORLD WAR 3.
God has blessed America for sticking by Israel and God has to be a liar for America to be finished.

guys , guys ,u get what you pay for .artisans e.g bricklayers, iron benders , carpenters all earn daily wages dependent on what part of naija u live.
materials hav their cost e.g soft or plaster sand is far cheaper outside lagos and in a place like ijebu you get filling sand for almost free while in lagos naa die.iron rods are cheaper in lagos though cos of transportation.as per blocks some peoples houses go just fall one day with these ridiculous cement to sand ratio especially with bad reinfocements and heavy roofs made of asbestos.go aluminium ,far more expensive but stronger and lighter .if you want to do doors and locks ,close eye spend correct money if not you will buy the cheaper stuff many times over.
