Guyman02:This your position is not true. Stop saying things you have knowledge of. Mrs Chinelo Ahohu was DG from 2012 till 2017. She completed her term and she was not given another term. Federal govt has been paying accrued right just like Lagos state. On the 7trillion you claimed the govt borrowed, pension fund has always being invested in Govt Securities, Money market and the rest. Hope you know about Suku Bond, that is infrastructure bond. PMB has not borrowed Pension Fund and there is nothing wrong with Pension industry. As a matter of fact ,that industry is one of the most regulated industry in Nigeria. By the way, can you share the issue you have with your pension, may will I can guide you. |

Opeyemiebun:To answer your question, you are not being fair to her. She has been a good wife , all she needs from you is your support. She even tried not to even put the burden on your head. My friend, please let her go ahead and buy the car, you can even give her part of the money to show that it is your responsibility to buy her the car .Another option is to buy your car and hand it over to her. Good luck |
HIGHLIGHTS OF FINANCE BILL (2019) It is no longer news that the NA has passed the much awaited finance bill (2019) into law. The Finance bill is aimed at addressing grey areas and deficiencies of major primary tax legislation by amending obsolete and contentious provision. Whether we like it or not, the president will accent to the bill and it becomes law. The effective date of the bill is 2nd, January 2020. As a citizens, employees and business owners, what should be your concerns is the impact of this bill on your bottom line. There are many significant changes in the bill, however, I will highlight area that is relevant to individual and small business. The good news is that the bill is more favourable to startups . COMPANY INCOME TAX 1. Small businesses with turnover less than N25m will be exempted from CIT while a lower CIT rate of 20% will apply to medium-sized companies with turnover between N25m and N100m. Small businesses may have to prove to their customers that they do not meet the threshold to avoid withholding tax. 2 Commencement and cessation rules have been modified to eliminate overlaps and gaps to avoid double taxation and complication during commencement. 3 The restriction of carry forward of tax losses has been amended such that tax losses can be carried forward indefinitely. This is useful as startups who incur significant losses in the first few years of business can now carry forward tax losses against future taxable profits. VALUE ADDED TAX 1. The VAT rate to increase from 5% to 7.5%. 2.VAT registration threshold of N25 million turnover in a calendar year to be introduced, this implies that SMEs that do not meet the threshold would not need to register for VAT and as a result would not be able to recover input VAT on their purchases 3 Penalties for failure to register will increase to N25,000 for the first month of default and N20,000 for each subsequent month. 4 Penalty for VAT late filing of returns increased to N50, 000 for the first month and N25,000 for subsequent months of failure; 5 Penalty for failure to notify FIRS of change in company address to be reviewed upwards to N50,000 for the first month of default and N25,000 for each subsequent month of default. This penalty also covers failure to notify FIRS of permanent cessation of trade or business Others/ Stamp Duty 1. Banks to request for Tax Identification Number (TIN) before opening bank accounts, while existing account holders must provide their TIN to continue operating their accounts 2. Stamp duty on bank transfer to apply only on amount from N10, 000 and above. For you to take the advantage of some the incentives and exemptions in the new bill, it is imperative to have a proper accounting records and a good partners that will guide in you. ABITEP MANAGEMENT CONSULTING is the partner that you need for your financial advice for 2020. You can contact us on 07060514534 or labiola@yahoo com. |
Good evening all. I really need help here. My investment is going down the drain. I have 240 birds, though started with 250. I got them in first week of June at 14weeks. I have spent over 800k on this business, I am yet to get any inflow as result of low production. Presently the production is less than 1 create per day. In the month of September it was around 30-40 % production but someone brought in his own birds and fumigated the place because we shared pen, since then I started losing my birds and the production has reduced drastically. I have stopped sending money to my friends who has been managing it for me, I want to cash out before it becomes total loss. Please, I need buyer who can buy all from me and let go of the birds in order to maintain my sanity. The farm is in Abeokuta. |

I dont watch BBNaija but i was privileged to watch it today, it seems people are more concern about the negative and immoral party of the programme. I love the proud nigeria presentation it was a nice presentation . Khafi and Seyi presentation was apt. Congratulations to her . |
One of the biggest specialist Hospital in Nigeria with Head office in Victoria Island and a branch in ikeja have not increased salary of their staff in the last 7yrs. It is frustrating , the most annoying part is that they keep buying property everywhere and ignoring the staff welfare. I tell you, Nigeria employers are wicked. |

What is the role of a company secretary? |
Hahahah, allll I see here is hatred for PMB. |
As much as I like Jimi Agbaje to become the Govnor of Lagos state but I dont think he deserves to be. You only show your race during the election, you failed to identify with the people you are planning to govern. You don't make a statement on national issues that are affecting citizenry. I wish him best of luck. |
Anytime I read the comments here about Ambode second term issue and the Tinubu factor, I feel sorry for the youths of this country. What has been the Tinubu offence in supporting the direct primary for Lagos state? Where were you when Tinubu supported Ambode against Fashola anointed candidate? Is 2nd term an automatic ticket for a sitting Govnor? A lot of us are clamouring for no more " baba sope"(imposition) , we are the one again abusing Tinubu for not anointing Ambode for 2nd term. Honestly, we should rather commend him for listen to the voice of the people. A lot of us hate Tinubu for know reason, I remember someone called on a radio station about this Ambode second term and the guy was abusing Tinubu for not supporting Ambode, the next thing I heard was that though he was not going to vote Ambode because he was a PDP member. If so, why abusing Tinubu for no reason. I will recommend that some of us should go and read Muiz Banire's interview. |
Good morning all, I drive a Honda Civic 2006 model IVTEC, anytime I engage in reverse gear it will be humming before suddenly moved, this only happens when trying to engage in reverse gear. |
Racoon:What is Redeemed got to do with someone who enrolled for a programme, attended lectures , paid the fees and met all other conditions for awarding the certificate. I was in the same class with this lady, she never missed any lecture and here you are say nonsense. Some of the jobless guys on Nairaland needs to receive sense. |
sunbilor:Yes. |
sunbilor:It is compulsory for every company in Nigeria to register with any of the PFA as long as the coy has minimum of two employees. |
sunbilor:Post your question |
[quote author=mexioni post=69687246]Story seems much, i need expert advise on this. Am thinking if meeting my employers to write to our PFA so we can withdraw up to 15-20% of our total contribution, how possible is it since we r still in employment?[/quote It is not possible because it is retirement savings account not saving account. |
softwerk:Who go sack Segun Agbaje? It seems you don't know their history and culture. Segun started with the Bank, aside, he has done well as an M.D. I believe a lot of people will stand by him. Segun na big boy oh. |

For those who were shouting GTBank will go down, sorry it will not go down. . The shareholder fund of Gtbank as at 31st december was 625b. They made 200bilion after tax. They declared total of 2.60k last year as divided. Though, the amount will have a negative effect on their performance for 2018 FY. 14billion can not sink Gtbank. |
A lot of people seem to be taken the joke too far. PMB was just being sarcastic when he said the VP was not here to see who is threatening his job. The truth is that Osinbajo has proved to us that he's not mere commissioner we used to. He's better than the so called politicians. |
