Good evening!
Please has anyone applied for UK Health and care (Skilled worker) immigration Visa recently?
Question: I realized that I can't find the section for Dependant details on my form and several attempts to detect any error I made while providing right details to the form prove abortive.
I seriously need assistance on how to fill the form so that the dependant details section will surface. Thank you in anticipation of your response.

You can only add your spouse information as a dependant . That is what my wife did.

Please can you link me up with your sister so we can share ideas.
I'm in the same situation, I haven't been able to apply because of TB test and English proficiency. Has she done any of these?
How was she able to book for the TB test? the site is not allowing me book.

She has not been able to do her test, hopefully she will get a date next week before her biometric.

As for the English proficiency, she doesnt need it as she has a certificate issued by Queen Margaret in Edinburgh.

Please do well to tell us her profession, and share some tips on how she was able to get a UK job offer.

She is a radiographer. She registered with HCPC and applied for several jobs opportunities. Thankfully, God answered her prayers, she got an invite for interview and passed. She was given an offer.

[quote author=Healhtyliving post=106491773]Congratulations to your sister. Yes she should meet up with her November resumption date if she applies now. Turnaround time is usually 15 working days for standard visa application.
Her husband and children can apply with her if they have the resources to do so.
The shall be applying as a dependent partner and child respectively.

Thank you.

The first time I saw this crap was in Spiderman when Norman Osbourne was fired from his own company and I thought this could only happen in the movies.

But I had an opportunity to work with corporate lawyers and knew the processes of registering a company. If you want to retain full ownership of your company, make sure you don't sell your share of the company to exceed 49.9 percent. Meaning you must have at least 50.1 percent of the company share. Anything below that and the shareholders can come together and boot you out if they have majority of the shares.

Corporate lawyers in the house can correct me if I am wrong
He can also lose the controlling share if the company decides to increase the share capital and the one who has the controlling share fails to take part in the share allotment.

Gtbank will soon follow the likes of intercontinental bank.

I even heard they wrote court that they want to discontinue the plc rather limited.

They just got customers, but not making profit.

Your money in that bank is no longer safe.

Hmmmm. a little google search will help you to know that GTB is one of the strongest Bank in Nigeria. For your information, they posted over 109b profit before Tax. So your assertion is wrong, always get your facts right.

There is nothing such as double taxation, branches pay taxes to state govt while headquarter pay directly to the FG.
These branches across state have financial statement that depict Revenue, the fact that they retain certain % of the revenue makes them liable to taxation from the state govt.
Branches pay only to state while head offices pay to the FG, so there is no issue of double taxation. its only fair the state generate funds to provide & maintain infrastructures which aids business operations within the state.

Which law did you get this from? Stop displaying your ignorance on something you have little knowledge of.

Go and read more on tax administration in Nigeria.

A lot of people here no jack on tax administration in Nigeria. There is no way GTB will be owing such amount. The only tax state govt can enforce is Personal Income Tax (PAYE) and probably development levy as applicable in Lagos state. How many staff did GTB has in that state that warranted #185million liability? Most of the state revenue service just apply tax liability to company base on their judgement which is not right.

How much is the total pension assets itself? Serap should do their due diligence correctly before throwing figures around. The pension fund assets is a little above 12trilion as at Sept 2020.

Politics / Re: My Mom Missed The Pension Verification Exercise And Her Pension Has Been stopped by labiola: 8:05am On Nov 10, 2020
ebenezer202l:
thanks for your prompt response.
She resides in Akwa ibom while the PTAD office is at Abuja, her pension managers are at Calabar and I doubt they will verify her again, so which means she needs to be on her way to Abuja.
So I sent a message to PTAD and they replied me that there are ways to conduct a mobile verification exercise for those pensioners that are too frail and weak. So they gave me an email address for that And I sent them.
I don't know how long it'll take them to respond.
Do you know if it works?
cc labiola

Kindly confirm if she presently receive her pension from PFA or directly from PTAD? If from PFA, they can't stop her money because of verification. Pls clarify this. Thank you

Don't be deceived by the above claims. Mrs Chinelo Amazu-Anohu left N7trn in the coffers of PENCOM as DG, she resisted every effort by PDP to use that money to run 2015 elections because it belongs to Pensioners and she doesn't want any delays in settling their pensions and gratuity.

In 2016 Fashola requested that the funds should be borrowed and used for infrastructure projects which she resisted. The president was informed and convinced that the money should be used. When Mrs Chinelo refused to oblige she was fired and replaced by one Hajia who opened the coffers of the pension fund.
Now the N7trn pension fund is exhausted with additional borrowing from China. Payments of pensions now comes in trickles and is done in batches based on revenue from taxes.
I am saying this because I have been pursuing pension for the past 4 years since Mrs Chinelo Anohu who is currently an Executive Director at African development bank was sacked by Buhari and engaged by Adeshina into AfDB

Many Nigerians will realise the enormity of the damage already done to the reforms by previous administration when it's time to get their pensions either for themselves or deceased relatives

This your position is not true. Stop saying things you have knowledge of. Mrs Chinelo Ahohu was DG from 2012 till 2017. She completed her term and she was not given another term. Federal govt has been paying accrued right just like Lagos state. On the 7trillion you claimed the govt borrowed, pension fund has always being invested in Govt Securities, Money market and the rest. Hope you know about Suku Bond, that is infrastructure bond. PMB has not borrowed Pension Fund and there is nothing wrong with Pension industry. As a matter of fact ,that industry is one of the most regulated industry in Nigeria.

By the way, can you share the issue you have with your pension, may will I can guide you.

Family / Re: Car Issue: Am I Being Fair To My Wife? by labiola: 3:19pm On Feb 03, 2020
Opeyemiebun:
Evening guys, please I will like to seek people's opinion concerning this issue that I have in my home.

I am a married Man with a Kid. Before marriage, my wife has a federal job outside Lagos while I run my business in Lagos. Due to Nigeria's economy, I asked her not to resign as she keeps working while I also keep on with my hustle. I have to be fair to her as she has been giving her all in this marriage and I so envy her strength to make things work despite the distance.

We had our first child last year and she is going to a year.. We both contribute financially and bring something to the table as we run 2 different homes.

I know she goes through a lot taking care of the baby without a car and I know how tedious it is for her to manage.

We are both young (I am 30 while she is 28)
We got our first few properties this January and we planning to do other things as we both bring money together to get things done.

We have plans of getting our first car within a month and my wife suddenly demanded that she also needs a car where she is due to the stress she goes through daily picking my child from creche and managing that with her own job. I asked that I employ a helper for her but she doesn't want.

She plans on getting the car within the next 2months with her own money. My issue is that I am business oriented and see it as a waste of money buying 2 cars when we can buy one and invest the money for the other one.

I am a Civil Engineer and my Job requires I get a car for mobility.
I feel guilty by trying to stop her from getting the car while I get mine and at the same time, if she get one I will also need to get.

I have been cracking my head up trying to see how we can go about it without hurting her and be fair to her as she is the best woman I can ever ask for.

What should I do, should we both get cars and let other stuffs take it course?

To answer your question, you are not being fair to her. She has been a good wife , all she needs from you is your support. She even tried not to even put the burden on your head. My friend, please let her go ahead and buy the car, you can even give her part of the money to show that it is your responsibility to buy her the car .Another option is to buy your car and hand it over to her. Good luck
Business / Finance Bill 2019. Good Or Bad? by labiola: 1:52pm On Dec 06, 2019
HIGHLIGHTS OF FINANCE BILL (2019)
It is no longer news that the NA has passed the much awaited finance bill (2019) into law. The Finance bill is aimed at addressing grey areas and deficiencies of major primary tax legislation by amending obsolete and contentious provision.
Whether we like it or not, the president will accent to the bill and it becomes law. The effective date of the bill is 2nd, January 2020. As a citizens, employees and business owners, what should be your concerns is the impact of this bill on your bottom line.
There are many significant changes in the bill, however, I will highlight area that is relevant to individual and small business. The good news is that the bill is more favourable to startups .
COMPANY INCOME TAX
1. Small businesses with turnover less than N25m will be exempted from CIT while a lower CIT rate of 20% will apply to medium-sized companies with turnover between N25m and N100m. Small businesses may have to prove to their customers that they do not meet the threshold to avoid withholding tax.
2 Commencement and cessation rules have been modified to eliminate overlaps and gaps to avoid double taxation and complication during commencement.
3 The restriction of carry forward of tax losses has been amended such that tax losses can be carried forward indefinitely. This is useful as startups who incur significant losses in the first few years of business can now carry forward tax losses against future taxable profits.
VALUE ADDED TAX
1. The VAT rate to increase from 5% to 7.5%.
2.VAT registration threshold of N25 million turnover in a calendar year to be introduced, this implies that SMEs that do not meet the threshold would not need to register for VAT and as a result would not be able to recover input VAT on their purchases
3 Penalties for failure to register will increase to N25,000 for the first month of default and N20,000 for each subsequent month.
4 Penalty for VAT late filing of returns increased to N50, 000 for the first month and N25,000 for subsequent months of failure;
5 Penalty for failure to notify FIRS of change in company address to be reviewed upwards to N50,000 for the first month of default and N25,000 for each subsequent month of default. This penalty also covers failure to notify FIRS of permanent cessation of trade or business
Others/ Stamp Duty
1. Banks to request for Tax Identification Number (TIN) before opening bank accounts, while existing account holders must provide their TIN to continue operating their accounts
2. Stamp duty on bank transfer to apply only on amount from N10, 000 and above.
For you to take the advantage of some the incentives and exemptions in the new bill, it is imperative to have a proper accounting records and a good partners that will guide in you. ABITEP MANAGEMENT CONSULTING is the partner that you need for your financial advice for 2020. You can contact us on 07060514534 or labiola@yahoo com.
