I do believe that religion is a way of life. I don't believing in abandoning some traditions. Now I think what ur talking about is the culture. People have abandoned their culture, and taken up the white man's culture. People have used christianity as an excuse to adopting another man's culture. I am a christian, but I am very much inclined to my culture.

What if the Scientist explanation of the beginning of the world was true 'the BIG BANG'. That would mean that there is no God and churches are not real, and the Bible and Quaran are fake! It would mean that there is no Hell or Heaven, no soul! How would human beings behave?


There is no "what if God wasn't real?"

We seem to forget our history. No historian can claim that the prophets weren't real, or Christ wasn't real. It is aknown fact. So if they were real, why wouldn't God be?

You won't get the answers u want. But I just wnat u to understand that the proof u need is in history. There is no historian on this earth that can claim that the events that led to our belief in God did not take place they happened and most importantly that Christ walked the earth and he performed miracles and he said the things he said.
Now if u choose not to believe that's all on u, keep in mind that the devil lurks everywhere and is looking for a way to get back at God for dismissing him. He's still challenging God.

If u want to believe that there's no God, then ask yourself why is it that all these things have happened and there are witnesses to it. Logically and with the backing of history u cannot prove that God doesn't exist.

Please don't twist my words. I never said that I believe in God because wonderful things are happening in my life. Wonderful things are happening in my life because I believe in God.
I also never said that because wonderful things have been happening in my life therefore Christianity has been tried and proven. Christianity has been tried and proven even before I came to be on this earth. The prophecies are there, they all came to pass. However, personally, I know for a fact that Christianity is true and Christ is the way,the truth, and the life.

Jesus Christ also said "I and the Father are one"

True Christians realise that if u try to understand the Bible with human knowledge, u will run mad. However, if u seek God, he will reveal himself to u just as he did to the prophets who sought him.

Let me ask you, since you are a lady; what will happen if you are the only person in your neighborhood and among your friend who is not married? And there is a man who has the way with it all to meet all your marriage demand, except that he is married. Will you not marry him if he proposes to you? This is one of the biggest mistakes u've ever made.
Let it be known to u that there are those who are called to different vocations. There are those who are called to married life, there are those who are called to single life, and there are those who are called to the religious vocations (priests, nuns, etc.)

Now as for my situation. Let it be known to u that I am not a desperate woman. Let it be known to u that at age 40 and unmarried, I would still not be a desperate woman, let it be known to u that at age 70 and unmarried, I would still not be a desperate woman. Let it be known to u that I live my life according to God's will and not mine. If God wills me to single life then so be it. It was his will that the earth be created, it was his will that i was born, who am I to challenge is his will in my life. Trust me I've learned to surrender to his will, so ultimately it is him who matters. My ultimate goal is not to be married my dear, but to spend eternity with him.

U see I wake up every morning and pray and the thing is as I pray I start to cry not because am sad, no but because at that very moment I feel God's love, it truly is unexplainable. So trust me dear, it is proven to me who the true Lord is and believing in the truth has set me free. Believing in the turth has put my life into perspective. Oh I wish u could feel what I feel. I don't just speak because of saving face or trying to prove that my religion is right. I speak because of the wonders in my life. I speak because of the Love of God. I speak because of my salvation. I pray for u because I want u to feel God's love too. I pray for u because I want u to feel that the Lord willl fight ur battles for u. I pray for u because I want u to feel that u don't have to find the faults in another religion to know that urs is real and that my dear is why I wrote what I wrote. I hardly spend my time trying to figure out what went on in Muhammed's head, I have done a great research and I am knowledgeable on his life and how it is he supposedly got the true message. But spending my time serving God is so much better, spending my time removing the splinter in my eye before I remove that of my brother's shows that I am not a hypocrite.


But I do have this quesetion for u? How do u know (othr than the fact that Muhammed said so) that is is the truth?

I agree with u that power supply can be generated by the year 2010 which will be 2 years after Yar'Adua is in office, but within 8 months, NO!!!
I don't agree however, that rush rush will leave us with positive results. If we rush things there will be vital mistakes, there will stones left unturned. Yes things can be accomplished in a timely matter, but for it to be rushed absolutely Not. Some things cannot be rushed anyway.

You say that it is possible to turn the country into a well performing economy in 10 years (Yar'Adua will be out by then), I agree but some people are expecting power, and water, and the best education right here, right now. Things have been messed up. The mess has to be cleaned up first. We will not be productive if things aren't corrected. We won't move forward. Yar'Adua is doing just that and we see that in the reversals of OBJ's policies, and in him analysis how things have been done so as to know where things went wrong to correct it.

You can't even build a house in 8 months not to talk of building a nation in 8 months. na wa o.

I think we already have the leader u described, but also keep in mind that some people are good until they get into office. So when his cabinet members are chosen they may seem to be the best choice, but people do change and they do put up facades and then the true colours come out. A classic example is one's family. U expect ur family member to be the one to have ur best interest at heart, yet they may be the ones to cut u down first.

I simply thank God for His grace in Jesus Christ. If you had to spend all that energy looking for "diametrically opposed" verses in the Bible, I can see why His grace has brought me this far to keep rejoicing in Him.

Mary was not the only virgin at that time in Nazareth, God used her to fulfill his purpose, that does not call for anything like honouring nor worshiping.


I don't think God tossed a coin and Mary just happened to win. He already had her in mind from the beginning. The prophecies were already there. If ur going to say that it wasn't planned and he just tossed the coin, then ur refuting the fact that "God knew us before we were fomred". He knew Mary before she was formed in her mother's womb. He made everything work out for the greater good. It is not by chance.

Have you guys actually considered who this so-called Mary is, even, that has so exalted herself as to so brazenly DEMAND worship via service and devotion?  Do you see any semblance with the very humble biblical Mary who in humility said to the angel to 'be it unto me according to your Word'? Is it the birth of Jesus that made her so brazen as to demand worship and to allude powers and abilities to herself that only God posseses (as manifested by the other 'promises')? This Mary of the catholic church is obviously beyond a place of mere honour, she is at the focal point, she is at the center of attention, and failure to see this really beats me. This Mary has powers that no human being has, this Mary can almost be said to be omnipotent - since she can even "deliver people from hell".

Do you also notice that this Mary has basically done everything the Lord Jesus might have had to do? "Promises" such as this clearly illustrate the central place this Mary has in catholic doctrine. She has specially protected her devotees(2), saved people from hell (3), delivered people from perishing(5), delivered people from purgatory(9), placed people in position of high glory in heaven (10) to mention a few.
It is only for the sake of 'having intercessors in life and in death' that this Mary even needs Jesus at all - at the thirteenth promise out of 15.
The burning question is; WHO IS THIS ROMAN CATHOLIC MARY?

Furthermore, here is the quagmire you guys have dragged yourselves into; if you claim to only be merely "HONOURING" this Mary, then you are clearly disobeying her - through those 'promises' the catholic Mary cleary DEMANDS WORSHIP and DEVOTION, and not giving in to those demands is disobedience to the requirements for attaining those 'signal graces' and the salvation promised by her. And claiming otherwise is really unprodcutive.
If on the other hand you acknowledge that catholicsm actually requires the worship of Mary, then you can readily see the Mariolatory that is inherent to the RCC and realize that you guys have strayed far far away from the Way, the Truth and the Life.

First of all, don't play around with words.

Second, if u have a problem with the word 'serve", then u must also demand that the soldiers not serve their country. Because they are serving a nation and not God and that is wrong.

Third where in the world did u hear that Mary demanded that the prayers be said. Don't make insinuations. Christianity is a free religion. No one holds a gun to anyone's head. No one says choose christianity or die as the muslims clearly state for islam. Mary requested that we pray, no where did it say that she demanded. Please don't ridicule the Mother of our saviour.

As for the Pope calling Mary our saviour, I haven't heard of it. But u must not ever in any way say that someone is your saviour if they help u out of a situation. If someone rescues u, u must not acknowledge that also. Because to save is to rescue u. So if when u have a child (unless u already do) and the child is in the water and starts drowning and the lifeguard goes to help the child and rescues the child u must not acknowledge it. and if ur child says the lifeguard saved him u must punish the child for it.

Like I said don't play with words. They are very relative.

If u have a problem with Devotion, then u must not be devoted to ur wife or husband, or ur family. Because that too is wrong. They are not God.

if u understand the purpose of the Rosary, u will see that Mary isn't the one saving anyone. The Rosary consists of the Mysteries of Christ. The rosary walks one through Christ's life. From annunciation of his birth (angel Gabriel appearing to Mary) to his baptism, to him giving a sermon, to his betrayal to his scourging, to his death, and to the crowning of Mary in Revelations. The rosary allows one to meditate on Christ's life and his death. To place themselves there and what we can learn from it. It allows us to see the message behind the mystery (faith, love, hope) and apply it to our daily lives. It allows us to not be selfish and pray for others also. It does a lot.
It is not a pray to Mary, it is a pray with Mary.

A friend (now ex-Catholic) immediately emailed me and pointed out that while it is true that Mary was not called "full of grace" in the Bible, there was actually one other person beside Jesus who was said to have been 'full of grace' - Stephen in Acts 6:8. I have acknowledged that publicly.

Hi I know am bringing up old news but I actually thought that Mary was called "full of grace" in the Bible. But since ur ex-catholic friend said that it wasn't I went back and checked and I found it, it's in Luke 1: 28

If M is mother of J, M(J) and J=G, then wouldn't M(J) = M(G)
Just wanted to put that mathematically.
Now to dispute this would be to say that Jesus isn't God or Mary isn't Jesus' mother, and ofcourse we all know that these are true. Unless ur not Christian.

Now about "praying with Mary" (not "to Mary"

"Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with you" said by the angel when he visited her. Now are we going to say the she wasn't visited by the angel? or that he said this to her?
"Blessed are you amongst women and blessed is the fruit of your womb" said by Elizabeth. Now are we going to count the mother of John the Baptist as irrelevant also?

"Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death" If u consider this wrong then u must not ask ur earthly mother to pray for u, u also must not ask others to pray for u. Hence u shouldn't seek ur pastor for prayers. This same concept applies to the saints. The saints are our ancestors and if we find this wrong then we must abandon the African practice of libations to our ancestors and not acknowledge them at all.

The issue on the statues, if u have a problem with this, then u must also have a problem with monuments being raised for anyone. So please by all means protest the building of the MLK monument in washington, and ask that the statues raised all over Naija be taken down.

If u have a problem with the rosary then please by all means do not wear a cross. U must rebuke all crosses.
About the pictures. Do not stare at ur mother's picture or ur father's picture, because this is worshipping them and ofcourse u know they are mere mortals. That is a sin.
U must also refuse any gifts at a wedding, birthday party, anniversary that contains the picture of the celebrant.

But if u have been keeping up with the news u'll realise that a lot is being done and the fruits won't be seen in 8 months. It doesn't take 8 months to build a road (especially when we have extensive rain), it doesn't take 8 months to generate enough power for a nation with such a bad structure. It doesn't take 8 months to stabilise education. It doesn't take 8 months to resolve health crisies. Not when we're tackling a system that has been destroyed for years. IT TAKES YEARS
U say u want to know how he's been spending the rest of Nigeria's money. Well if u have been paying attention u will see that a good amount of things in 8 months has been accomplished. I understand if after a year there isn't anything to show for it. Even corporations don't put together a report until the end of the year and then releases it. If u want to know the nook and cranny of his dealings then I sugggest u become his personal tag along.
