Did you know that Buhari collected "Amoured SUVs" from Dasuki his "well wisher" according to his assets declaration statement after he was paid full monitized benefits as former Head of State from the office of SGF?

You see all of them and those around you are the same.

The difference in Nigeria is opportunity. You may have been singing a different tune had you received alert from Dasuki

Point of correction!

Security Vote is not the same thing as money meant to purchase arms to fight Bokoharam as you put it. It goes far beyond that.

All Nigerian State Governors assign billions to themselves in the budget which is not accounted for nor questioned by their respective Legislatures.

Every Executive office in Nigeria from local government to federal government are culpable.

In accounting they call it "miscellaneous" expenses.
In Engineering, it is called "provision for safety".
While in administrative offices they call it "imprest"

If APC cannot check corruption by few marketers, how can they achieve it in government ministries, agencies and departments?

Tunde Bakare said... El Rufai SAID...Obasanjo SAID... Lol! That is THEM-SAY THEM SAY... For Christ sake we all know that El rufai is a lying liar. Is he not the same person that published fake figures of GEJ independent celebration? Is he not the same man? For all I care(actually I don't care), nobody in his right mind will work with them-say them-say. Fact is, God through Obj made GEJ VP(2007) and President (2011). This is a fact

And I won't reply you if you keep referring to me as IjawCitizen.
This is one on one interview by punch correspondent with Pastor Tunde Bakare hence the excerpts are direct quotes.

Stop twisting the truth to suit your line of thought. Obasanjo reluctantly gave in to GEJ presidency in 2011 because Buhari couldn't meet his conditions and nothing more. It was purely on personal interest hence there is nothing about Ijaw/Yoruba political alliance about it. - QED

There is nothing like VP aspirant. GEJ was running for the position of Bayelsa state Governor when Obasanjo decided that the SS should run with Yar'adua. He went to GEJ ahead of fellow SSner Odili.

And the agreement in PDP was to field SOUTHERN candidate in 2015(not just SE) after the north completed the two terms(2007 and 2011). Same Obasanjo made sure GEJ was favored to fly the ticket in 2011 against agreement made in 2007.
@Ijawcitizen, you can lie no be small.

Ever seen this interview and true confessions of Pastor Tunde Bakare by Punchng?

The major excerpts below:

Buhari Had Obsanjo's Endorsement Over Jonathan, If He Had dropped Me for Okonjo-Iweala In 2011 Presidential Election – Tunde Bakare

The day before the final submission of names, former President Olusegun Obasanjo told El-Rufai that he was ready to support Buhari if he could drop me and replace me with Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala as his running mate. El-Rufai ran to me, that this was what Obasanjo said.

The three of us were in the same hotel but in different suites. We went straight to Gen. Buhari and I said to him that breakthrough had come. I told him I had not filled the form and that there were five reasons why he must take Okonjo-Iweala. Number one, she is Delta-Igbo, you would have solved the problem of South-East/South-South. Number two, she’s a woman, you have settled the gender issue. Number three, Christian, balanced ticket. Number four, a former minister of finance and former minister of external affairs, experience which I don’t have. Number five, World Bank top executive, international exposure. Even though I have travelled round the world, I have not worked in any organisation, she is a better candidate.

This is the form, I have not filled it. General Buhari looked at me and said did Obasanjo speak to you and I said no that he spoke to El-Rufai and I believe him. And he asked El-Rufai to repeat everything Obasanjo said to him and he did. He said to El-Rufai that well, you have worked with him and I have worked with him too, he would have something up his sleeves which we don’t know. Buhari turned to me and said, Pastor Bakare, I have waited long enough and today is the last day, if you are not going to fill the form, give it to me, I will look for someone until we can get a person like you.

At that point, I became overwhelmed and I signed the form and El-Rufai seconded. That was the process; it was not an overnight thing.

love, why are you getting angry? Come on...
I quit my ex for certain reasons and in the course of the new relationship, my expected Mr Perfect keep mentioning my ex this, my ex that then I became angry. This is a typical narrative of what you're doing on this thread.

The new government under APC assured Nigerians that under its government, Nigeria will not jeopardize its multi-ethnoreligious and secular attribute for anything hence I never expected you to dwell on Gowon this, Abacha that, GEJ then and so on.

The coalition being assembled by Saudi Arabia under its present structure jeopardizes the APC manifesto and covenant Buhari made with Nigerians on his inauguration hence should be questioned by any interest group in Nigeria which includes CAN.

I want you to be futuristic and stop dwelling in the past, Nigeria has moved on and as such needs an upgrade instead of the downgrade you are subjecting us into.

Haba, is this in the seventies? Is this an authoritarian regime like most Arab countries?

Why are you blowing hot air? The coalition is not for 'Arab' countries but for both Arab and Muslim countries, the latter of which Nigeria 'belong' by virtue of OIC membership. What is your blab about? Was GEJ, Obj and Yar'adua APC men when they acknowledged our muslim regalia? Which secular state in the world constitutionalised sharia rule apart from Nigeria?
I thought you were intelligent and possess good scientific analytical skill and knowledge of national cohesion in international diplomacy.

Bye and continue with your blame game of who did what, when we have a new government of APC whose definition of Nigeria is unambiguous and clearly stated in its manifesto for which CAN has express right to question when the covenant is compromised or broken.

Making sense with in-depth analysis is different from sentimental opinions devoid of essential aspects of the topic being debated.

You should at least be smart. If Nigeria recognises herself as Islamic State and fellow Islamic States decide to enlist Nigeria and other Islamic State into an Islamic Alliance against BH and ISIS, what then is strange?

Beside, you read this and come up with the above? I SMH at you dude...
Stop derailing this thread with these back and forth junkies.

I'm in love with details and specifics hence see it from that perspective and stop playing tricks on your readers/audience and in this instance Nairaland free readers association.

Islam is not synonymous with Arab - Fact

Arabs countries have contiguous boundaries - Fact

Arabs countries doesn't even constitute half of Islamic countries - Fact

This new alliance consists of Sunni Arab Countries - Fact

Nigeria is neither an Islamic country nor an Arab nation - Fact

APC Manifesto is strictly against any notion painting Nigeria with any religious colouration and has strictly defined the country as a multi ethnic and religious secular country hence CAN is inorder with their concerns.

Get off your high horse and analyze the topic with the above submissions.
Politics › Re: CAN Protests Moves To List Nigeria Among Arab Nations To Fight ISIS by LadyExcellency:
TonyeBarcanista:
bros you see one of the problems of some of our ethnic and religious leaders is hypocrisy. Another is cluelessness, while another is blowing unnecessary alarm.

First, A Christian(Gowon) enlisted Nigeria as associate/observing member of OIC. Where was CAN? CAN remembered to raise their voice when IBB got Nigeria enlisted fully as OIC member in 1986 but everybody accepted and moved on. When the constitution was drafted and there was recognition of Sharia and Sharia courts, where was CAN? CAN only sprang up when Gov Sani Yerima of Zamfara state, Kwankwaso of Kano state, Ahmed Makarfi of Kaduna state and other Govs decided to implement the Sharia rule(which has constitutional legitimacy) in their domains. Even Obasanjo couldn't do anything because it was 'constitutional'. When OBJ himself atteended OIC conference where was can? When Jonathan did, where was CAN? When Yar'adua reaffirmed our membership, where was CAN?

The implication of OIC membership is that we have agreed to be Islamic Country. We may not all be muslims but our country wears Islamic regalia. Cameroon for instance is not within the geography of Central Africa but they signed up to be Central African State.

If we have been accepting the interest-free loans and grants from OIC and member states, why should we now oppose military alliance? So you see my angle?
Your understanding of international diplomacy and alliances is warp to say the least.

What has OIC (notwithstanding subsisting debate) got to do with this Confraternity of Arab (Sunni) Countries? You mean we can't have Non-align nations against ISIS even in OIC?

In this instance, we are faced with matters of wars and international alliances between people of the same religion, people and culture and moreover APC specifically designated Nigeria as a multicultural secular Country with no religious alignment whatsoever.

Because Babangida added is to the OIC and our dear GEJ attended their meeting.

What has what you wrote got to do with the comment you quoted.

Nigeria is a secular State with no alignment to any religion according to APC manifesto and bill of covenant with Nigerians.

Christians have their concerns and this isn't even only about Islamic countries rather a Confraternity of Arab States and moreover this got to do with politics and international diplomatic alignment of nations.

Who did what in the past has no bearing in this new alliance in whatsoever ramification.

When a party and some section of the country think they know it all yet they blame everyone but themselves for their failure is worrisome.

Goodluck Jonathan's regime is being judged and appraised on good note because he reduced national poverty by half and increased and empowered the middle class. Invested in agriculture and many more.

How can government policy that was used to drive the economy be regarded as loses?

Does reduction on interest rate announced last week by CBN Governor a multiplying factor of losses to Nigeria's revenue earnings or was it intended to stimulate the economy? Should a sane mind ask why they reduced the interest rate when our revenue is dwindling?

Stupidity is when an economic policy by elected government to boost the economy and regulate prices is called loses.

If you don't like it resign or contest for presidency which is the wisest thing to do.

I always wonder why Buhari and APC supporters think that GEJ is a lesser president and wields lesser power compared to PMB.

How much has Nigeria lost in seven months because of docile economic and monetary policies of President Buhari? I presume it may be running in trillions of naira.

Below is what Buhari tasked you to do, Madam Minister

We Will Be Judged By The Number Of People We Lifted From Poverty - Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday instructed his new ministers to ensure they run a lean government at all levels, to avoid wastage of public funds.

The president charged them to key into the change agenda of government, as they are the vehicle that will administer the change to Nigerians.

He gave the charge when he opened a two-day retreat for the 36 ministers who are yet to be sworn into office yet.

The event held at the old banquet hall of the presidential villa in Abuja.
Mr. Buhari said the administration would be assessed based on the number of Nigerians it is able to lift out of poverty.

The retreat, themed, “Delivering change from precepts to practice”, was attended by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, all ministers-designate and other presidential aides.

Speaking at the opening ceremony before the retreat went into closed session, President Buhari said the ministers must be the drivers of the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress, APC’s change mantra.

“You are coming on board the ship of governance at an interesting time. So much has been said about the state of our economy. It is expected that we make the running of Government at all levels as lean as possible, avoid waste and conserve resources. As ministers, you must be the vehicle that will administer the change,” he said.

“Our main task is to turn our manifesto promises to practice and results. Over the next two days I expect you to have a better understanding of the context in which we have taken the challenge of serving our country, as well as the strategies we have adopted to tackle them. I would also expect you to be even more determined to work as a team, and to live up to the high standards of probity and integrity which Nigerians expect of us.”

Mr. Buhari said the major focus of his administration would be diversification from oil.

“We will intervene in mining and agriculture and upgrade the country’s physical and social infrastructure, which will broaden our revenue base and significantly improve the level of employment, especially among the youth. Our economic focus will be policies that will ensure inclusive growth and we will count our achievements based on the number of Nigerians we move out of poverty,” he said.

He reminded the ministers to establish effective communication with their colleagues, and to rout all communication and appointments to the presidency through the Office of the Chief of Staff “as is normal in this Presidential System”.
