The girl was very wrong. Respect yourself if you want to be respected, whether male or female. Some ladies have taken this ''never hit a lady' for granted. You should never get physical whether male or female.

You might have to assess the girl in question to be able to understand what her own '''can you take care of me" means, whether she is referring to materials things or she is referring to matters of the heart and psychological needs. If you are chasing a slay queen, then she is most likely referring to money.
