Well as long as he does not have Jews living next door, he should be fine, and besides I wonder why Nigerians are soo heated about the sign, it is not as if we were bloodied and enslaved by Germans now were we, or gassed to death in chambers. so why the angst. If someone was to put up an American Flag on his wall we will all hail him but forget the masters of slavery across the globe were the Spaniards, British and Americans (also Champions of abolition when slavery became too expensive) I wish to put up the down-turned Demonic Star with the goat-head which i did on campus but my neighbors will open dangerous prayer points for me instead of defacing or confronting me directly. O boy, why u dey fall my shoulder now haba ![]() You be obonge Niaja niggah so behave like one. if your boss has the pickle and axe for you then you have to adjust his perception of your recent success. Better still read the 48 Laws of Power. 1: Make sure you come to work one day without the car and walk with a limp. if asked tell them the car had problems and you had to take okada only to fall down badly (This will make his mind sweet small)2: Next time park the car safely in another location or better still come to work in public transport for 1 month claiming that the car is with the mechanic with various problems (he will bless his God for your predicament) 3: Make him believe you want to sell the car but no one is buying with all its problems (Alleluyah, his ego is calmed) 4: Do plenty-eye service for him and tax him for any small change (tell him you are trying to save money to fix the car) he might not give you much but will end up fueling your car for the week 5: All this while you are looking for a job like a mad dog looks for an invisible biskit bone ![]() You should be fine |
Maybe we should start Testing Men for Impotence or Infidelity before marriage ![]() |
Shady2009:Take am easy. get professional advice and always look at the health risk and benefits. Some have taken this road and become obese rather than muscular, ending up with heart problems and over-eating |
bolseas:You speak deep truth, as with all ailments in Nigeria, we only attack the symptoms and never care to eliminate the root cause. Nigeria (africa's most populated) has the highest deaths by malaria for children under 5 yrs in the entire Africa (We love being number one for all the wrong reasons) http://www.unicef.org/infobycountry/nigeria_statistics.html |
jibosqie:I feel your wonderment but this is the World Cup where defending champions are the 1st one out (Like France) and no-hopers somehow make it far in the competition (Like Senegal or South Korea). But i get what you are saying. no joke We barely prepared right from qualification to lagerback but i can tell you the air in Naija is thick with optimisim you can cut it with a knife. but let us enjoy the game for what it is not who wins or who loses.Cheers WOOOOOOOSAAAAAA!!! ![]() |

@Tudor Nigerians are not cowardly or lack spine when it comes to doing what counts when it counts. Why it seems that way is because 1: There is no confidence that when and after the war is fought, the same arm-chair generals that led it would become the same demons many lost their lives over. (Consider Bola Tinubu activist now turned political demon )2: Frequently when there is a call to action from our usual Political Activists, it is done after the fact (Consider Nigerians are simply tired of getting called to action for the right reasons but wrong intentions. Oshiomole and his activists crew are calling for IBB to be forgiven of his past misdeeds and given a chance to correct them (Are we that dumb )Everyman will protest as far as he can without getting killed (of what use is getting killed without getting the job done) |
we will never change ![]() |
This sort of approach works well with the BBC because in such a society, there are negative collateral consequences that can grow into a major PR disaster on a national scale. the BBC has come to understand this and have taken face-saving measures. (not that they were honestly apologetic if you read the retraction) but the effect is the same nonetheless, the offensive news is off the web (after been read, blogged and spread by literally thousands of Internet users world-wide) ![]() In Nigeria, there are negative collateral consequences as well and they continue to send reverberating negative PR shock-waves around the globe but there is no amount of expression (positive or negative, passive or aggressive, peaceful or war-like) that will bring about face-saving retractions or reforms or change in Nigeria. What we have are shameless leaders in nearly all spheres of activity from corporate to governmental, an aggressive registering of opinion as was done here will have no effect on our corrupt leaders. none at all ![]() |
@posters (especially the ones who feel rudely offended) BBC was not always this way, but it is gradually sinking in. the once stellar icon of journalism in its purest form is now a putrid shrine for irresponsible, shoddy, unprofessional journalism and broadcasting. Remember how many Nigerians tuned to BBC @ 4.00AM just to be sure a Military Coup was not in the offing. Whether English or Hausa, you were more likely to trust the BBC than your own mother. Sadly standards have declined terribly, to say they have hit rock-bottom is putting it mildly. since BBC faced severe funding problems in recent times, it has also displayed alarming levels of paled quality in its programming allowing its claims of creative contribution to be taken at face value. I doubt the BBC College of Journalism graduates the likes of Mr. Tom but who can say, with the credit crunch well in-deep in the financial bowels of British public funding, maybe this the BBC's way of saying, We don't have any more money to hire quality journalist let alone write good stories from start to finish. It is a good thing that Nigerians will not stand for it anymore, I just wish we showed as much venom in other areas of our public/foreign matters that need vicious and vile voices from the masses |
it requires a great deal of insight and sensitivity to humor. let me summarize Pix 1: Limp-Dic.k Pix 2: Erect-Dic.k Clever advertising ![]() |
Bobsz I must transfer to Akute, it is raining cash-money over there But seriously, these are symptoms of decades of in-action on the part of the masses. it is so much in-action and fear of civil-war I wonder how Federal Troops and an ethnic group seeking secession applies in the Nigeria of today. The Threat of War is just a ruse politicians put up when the masses start getting angry, there is no basis or motivation for war, but there is a strong one for a revolution. That is what they are afraid of.Anyway, sorry @poster. your case is just a statistic in the log-book of Nigeria's 50 years of corruption and stagnation ![]() |
@poster, I cannot fault your analysis and i can't agree with you entirely, Yes they played better than their previous friendly and warm-up matches, but is their performance enough to keep them in the campaign long enough to get past the group stages? I doubt so ![]() |
Are they just waking up to the fact that Jesus has been pilloried by cartoonists to the point that he has a talk show and fights with the devil and lost. When will Christians start focusing on the message rather than the person. |
jehovah sharp-sharp!!! the new generation is always looking for miracles God says all you need is faith ![]() |
I suppose there an few or no advanced software developers on Nairaland ![]() |
One of many reasons why there is a great deal of hesitation in helping the masses achieve self-awareness and literacy to solve their problems, They are so dis-franchised, they would kill you if you try to help them on their feet, the less masses we have in the country the better. ![]() |
Nigerian Culture is strong and definitely recognizable 419 ![]() |
@everybody, you seem to have lost your collective voices in a bid to offer different views to achieving a single goal. It is as i have described, in a typical argument we all lose focus of the goal and start creating varying opinion groups that create mini-ideologies making sure we always argue and never accept a single, unifying ideology Nigerians will never change, maybe we deserve what we are getting after-all. When senators argue about allowances, do you think it is for your benefit?? in the end with their different opinions and voices, they still end up going home with what they truly want, while we banter over useless opinions that have no influence on achieving goals ![]() |
ooh for CRYING OUT LOUD!!!!! get over it already, we are all going, has God not said enough already? Jeeeezz! ![]() |
Islam is the one true religion ? All this while i thought it was a way of life? Scratching my salty chocolate balls offers the same relief ![]() |
What is the solution? I am sure 90% of Nairalanders will say "Let us go and talk to them maybe they will stop being immoral and corrupt" Trust Nigerians, the solution to every problem is not far from Talk, Pray and Kiss-ars.e ![]() |
it is not how many bottles you can drink but how many before you start acting the fool ![]() Social drinking is not an addiction. it is when you become an alcoholic that it becomes a situation that must be dealt with conclusively. Alcohol gives me peace of mind for the time being ![]() |
How are you not sure God was created himself. you are damn sure his existence is a unique occurrence in this universe. A cosmic entity who defines the existence of other cosmic entities, the beginning and the end. We humans have surmounted the enviable challenge of discerning that everything has an origin. yet most accept that God has no origin, he just is (IAMTHATIAM). what you can say is that you do not know how God came into being, just that he is. and you cannot wholly accept that because you lack the knowledge of his origin and existence, therefore he must be the beginning and the end. Without him there is no existence, all eternal, all knowing and all-everything. How quaint,in order to balance the gap between what we know and what we don't know for sure, we fill it in Faith (What we believe we know without any iota of evidence) ![]() |
Kanu Literally Won the Olympics Gold at Atlanta with his concise passes and positional play. If you stay too focused on the goals he scored you will miss that fact. He has paid his dues FULLY. pay the man the respect he deserves and understand that he is not selfish for wanting to play in the World Cup. at least let this opportunity sunset his career finally. Leave the boy Alone. |
wirinet: My Sarcasm sometimes gets the best of me and confuses other readers. Please read my post thoroughly. I am not making any excuse neither have i formed any sort of solidarity with the idea of child marriage. infact if you go through it (I suspect you did not) with a clear mind. you will see that I have stated that whenever I start discussion issues like Child Marriages with Muslim friends, those are the points they use to support Child Marriages. They use those excuses as a foundation for their argument, some claim their religion supports it and they are offering a better life for the children So we don't get off on the wrong foot |
haba, why una dey laff the honorable man of diction. if only you can accept that language is context-sensitive you will not laff anyhow. Don't tell me u don't know what kparapo means. ![]() |
Yerima's case is just popular because of his status, do you know how many of these types of marriages go on everyday in Nigeria, particularly in Sharia states. There is very little that NGOs can do when they operate in such regions and the more-aware, better educated and reasonably well-positioned citizens (especially women) in such regions are not as vocal I guess there is so much progress you can bring about when your religion places an embargo on your ability to reason objectively in a humane way. When i have discussions with some of my Muslim friends and try to broach the topic, they either say, that this phenomenon has a purpose. 1: Stop the girls from going into prostitution 2: Give them a better life and education they would not have had an opportunity to get if they were not married off early. 3: It is supported by the Quran On the surface it seems like a valid argument but when you take a few steps forward, yo realize that it is just a face-saving statement. ![]() |
I have sent you a mail @ Femmmy.moto@gmail.com I shall be in touch, though we still need to bring the price lower |
Final questions, I am liking the Accord but I now want the 2007 Accord (In the EX range) what is the price difference (before negotiation) And does the final price include shipping and clearing (maybe not to door-step) So it is pricing for 2006 EX and pricing for 2007 EX ALL -IN (EX-L V-6) i know my mouth too big but my belle small ![]() Thanks |
Oh boy! cheap Big-boy car no dey again ![]() I had plans for July but with those prices I'd have to save till October 2010 I hope the price would have come down by then. Are the prices All-In? Any chance of getting a hefty discount? What are key differences between Accord EX and SE. I have a feeling the LX has wooden tires and home-made seats. ![]() |
