Why are some posters seemingly mentally recalcitrant when dealing with Social issues. Human beings live in Lagos and of varying economic levels, regardless most contribute to the well-being of Lagos. You can drive around Victoria Island for 2hrs and not find a single meter of parking space. You will not find a LASG-funded Commercial Parking Space either, but you will find a lot of Mobile LASTMA and Council Offices for every Km. you guessed it--- Parked on the side-walk. I just have one question and it is not tribalistic neither is it flippant and people-unfriendly. Has the Lagos State Government provided enough secure commercial parking spaces to cater for the fast-growing population of private car-owners, is she planning to expand or should people park inside their office cubicles when they run out of options. Haba.. Car Tax is collected on each car bought by a Lagosian and licensing and various levies and dues are paid by each private car owner each year.. at least they deserve as much.If everything about Lagos is Go-back to your Village or enter BRT to work (after a 2hr wait), how come even the shortest public holiday makes Lagos look like a deserted carnival cave with a few open-air joints selling kpafun or is it lafun with poorly cooked oily vegetable soup ![]() |

Serendipity: From what the adjective materialistic means, your assertions is marred by and fraught with fallacies and pontifications, bereft of substance Who is not materialistic?we know what materialistic means used loosely in this context it means a focus on things and issues that are immaterial to the progress of intellect, economy or ideals.. satisfied now |
Well the evidence is laid our bare for all to see. Are Nigeria's youths lazy, unintelligent and materialistic.? If you are making a valid generalization.. YES 100%. You cannot use a small pool of the Chimamanda, 2Face and other successful young entrepreneurs to make a factual judgment on Nigeria's Youths.. you can simply take a walk and engage the first 20 youths the first 1km. you will surely agree that at least 18 are unemployed and would not further their education to get a chance at getting a better job, they would rather be cleaners or loaf about, go to the beach, clubs, sag their jeans, wear nerdy eye-wear and listen to music. The Nigerian Society is not helping matters either.. every youth-centered campaign is around Maltina, Big Brother Africa, Gulder Ultimate Search, Dance this and Dance that.. nothing around EDUCATION.. how else can the Nigerian Youth not be LAZY, and MATERIALISTIC |
both are tramps.. and it shows.. neither can touch the likes of Omotola and Genny Class, Style and Wealth |
The dynamics of a revolution has evolved since the movement in the sands of Egypts (LET MY PEOPLE GO). ![]() I cannot post in detail (I have been banned severally) but yes you can have revolution in Nigeria.. a sweeping movement that will bring about a complete annihilation of corrupt institutions and the reigning government of our time as well as ensure that the nation that rises from the ashes is well-equipped to grow and stand proudly among the league of nations as a progressive economy, one to be emulated as truly a Giant of Africa. like i said, i will be banned. ![]() |
ehie: One of today's pet Indisputable Historical Truths is that the German Chancellor Adolf Hitler advocated the "Big Lie Technique" to discredit and confuse one's political opponents. We need more Nigerians like you in this quest to rescue and rebuild the nation |
I believe the end of the world is truly at hand.. with the way and manner earthlings have been going off the deep-end with un-authorised visits to heaven and hell. babies spitting fire and all ![]() |
Ricoluv: The press war raging between Dr Cosmas Maduka of Coscharis Group and Mr.Ifeanyi Uba of Capital oil and gas Ltd is one which has been in the news for some weeks now.So True.. you are right about that.. but do you think for one second that thsi will matter when AIG is in deep with GEJ, have you forgotten the Intercontinental Bank sale? Access Bank is a CABAL roosting ground |
Storyline 1: FG Okays Power Sector Reforms Opening Calls for Bids from Prospective Partners/Investors 2: After 5 years and some rigmarole FG on BPE's rigorous Due Diligence, Award the Contract to Manitoba/TCM 3: GEJ Cancels Manitoba/TCM Contract on BPE's insistence that a 5-year review and due diligence was not enough and some irregularities and breach of Due Process 4: GEJ and a Team of Experts (origins unknown at this point) begin to review the Manitoba/TCM contracts 3 days after it was unequivocally cancelled. Hmmm |
Freedom of speech is really b'coming somfin else...SMH @ ds thread
no matter how Freedom of Speech gets for Bad or Good we must protect it with our Lives. If the institution of Government is Honest with the Citizens then she has no fear for Freedom of Speech.. besides Korea, China and a few Hard-knocks like Iran and most of Black Africa, Freedom of Speech is a respected Human Right |

Leave the First Lady alone.. has she disturbed you lately.. haba ![]() |
I think we should all adopt a Wait-See Approach. perhaps we should give FG and GEJ the benefit of a doubt (as difficult as it seems) What remains to be seen is how long this review will take since it took over 5 years to get it signed in the first place. POWER is critical to any nation's progress in the league of nations. If this fails, it is not GEJ's failure alone,it is ours. |
hisson3: my dear you actually know him, he is here amongst us on nl,he goes by the handle Billyonaire. No wonder |
Reno Omokiro wants El-Rufai soo bad I am beginning to suspect his orientation ![]() |
This brings to question the Control Processes that the Bureau of Public Enterprise uses to perform Due Diligence on prospective bidders in this Privatization Process. Thcey have been fraught with irregularities and failure to disclose to the Public who are over 40% base of consumers of Public Infrastructures being Privatized) BPE and GEJ owes Nigerians Full Disclosure. Who are the experts reviewing this Contract? Doyin Okupe or Reno Omokoroi ![]() |
OLAADEGBU: 23 MINUTES IN HELL. 2010. Bill Wiese TBN InterviewOLAADEGBU patient, unrelenting pastor.. I think the more Christians delve into the occult the more stuff like this comes out. granted there are regions of the human mind that are still yet to be understood, there are practices (forbidden by God) that you can use to explore these regions. OBEs can occur in some traumatic instances but they can also be induced intentionally. Hell is real depending on how much gap between reality and actual depth of information available to your mind about Life (Energy) itself.Imagine exposing human consciousness to an ant, without proper enlightenment and proper conditioning, Hell/Heaven will be all that the ant in its unprepared and finite state will experience. I often wonder why these Hell/Heaven travelers always seem limited by physical structures even when they are not in a physical body.. they experience smell, walk instead of appear/disappear or phase-in/phase-out. there are doors, handle-bars.. i mean have you got carpenters and brick-layers like a regular hell we are in presently.. gosh funside though.. does one not require some VISA to visit these places ![]() |
duni04: I've developed apathy for news like this, commenting on it won't stop those guys in Abuja from looting so there's just no point. When we come up with topics on protesting or assassinating all corrupt leaders, i'll be interested. Till then, no commentswell welcome to my street. each time i get to post anything short of exposing the physical insecurities surrounding our corrupt political leaders, it gets deleted and i get a ban.. the truth is there is no security there is little intelligence and a whole lot of loop-holes somebody ban me |
she was far cuter se.xier than this. how time flies |
and some buffoons will say GEJ has brought about FRESH AIR.. when all his cronies are being arrested left right and center by foreign courts showing us just how it is done. our FAT CAT SANS just sit there acting like they are the best in the world. SHAME on you ![]() |
I hope the nigerian government does not try to cut corners on this one. 180 MILLION DOLLARS!! shyte What do you mean? Before you know it now, you will begin to accuse GEJ of pocketing the money, yet he is the one who has ordered re - opening of the case. Maizubi holdings - thats Abdusallam former Head of State.
The web our leaders spin is indeed a complicated and complex one - have you not heared.. probes are instigated not to uncover but to study (Subsidy Probe) ans subsequently squeeze illegal beneficiaries to dole out some money to the probe instigator. I know GEJ is not that smart, but hey.. he could be towing the line for others.. there has been no charge and prosecution or sentencing after 3 years.. ![]() |
hillsate: what nonsense is this.Same thing folks like you thought when terrorist went for flight training with utterly zero experience. guess what.. 911 Same way FG has been dealign with kids gloves only to find out that Boko-Haram Intelligence is still out-witting our JTF |
@OP - i think you are the one throwing reason out the window, how can false prophets and MOGs want their flock to rise to the level of discernment as God directed.. don't you think they will trash the false churches of today as Jesus did in the Temple |
duality: bros, forget about that Ribadu report. that is not the issue being discussed. besides If i were your boss and i gave you a job to do stating the terms and you spend so much time, return with an inconclusive report and leak the report before presenting it. I'll tear the report in your face for gross incompetence.tear the report because you did not see it first or because the leaked version had no iota of truth in it.. which one.. but let us leave that for another day. on Manitoba.,. at least the Public (not the naive one) needs to know how BPE will process a proposal, have a prospective investor perform due diligence and after 5 years award it wholly only to claim a breach in due process. I have a strong feeling you have access to such crucial info, can you leak it out to save us the effort of trying to figure out what is on the mind of BPE. It seems you will vest your confidence on our indigenous investors than on experienced international institutions with verifiable successes in this field. but hey.. there is a first time for everything right? |
Tusky44: Honestly, this is the beginning of the failure of the power sector road map. No wonder Nnaji quietly left this hopeless administration. How can you ignore the likes of EDF, Siemens, GE, NPower, CECC, British Gas, National Grid, etc for LOCAL CHAMPIONS like Atiku, Emeka Ofor, IBB, Abdusalam Abubakar, Otedola, Tinubu, etc? God you really hate the average Nigerian otherwise why haven't you answered my prayer? You have said it all |
duality: Gbawe, is it wrong to backtrack when the possess is faulty? I think its most reasonable to do so. Have you asked for the reasons Late Yaradua stalled the process? He most likely would have done the same. Besides, if these issues are not dealt with. you'd be the one to complain, query and react harshly when problems arise.Naive folks know where to hangout on Nairaland. pray-tell, how was the deal brokered and what were the irregularities noticed.. or is it Confidential Info not accessible through the FOI Act. |
360command: I support the move by the govt but i do hope it turns out positive for Nigerians. Let us face it, Nigeria and africans keeps selling or contracting to foreigners. let us fight and collect what we have sold or contracted from the foreigners and provide a means on how we can handle it by ourselves. I still believe that if we remain united and we kick indiscipline out of Nigeria/ Africa , we will solve our problems and no foreigner will solve it for us.This is idealistic however the reality is no nation has ever grown to its pinnacle without foreign investment. Nigeria lacks the mentality, lacks the experience and political will to start such a simple project from Start-Finish without experienced foreigners. Show me one sustainable infrastructure project today that is wholly Nigerian - just one |
@OP - hey.. whatever bakes your cookie is fine. at least u agree that the outcome you have just related has an origin that you created with your very hands. It is a common and unfortunate story that a lot of us go (have gone) through. throw-away your regrets and learn from your mistakes. I agree it can be difficult (for lack of a stronger word) to pick up and continue with the hustle (especially with a family) but it would be useful if we know what your "hustle" is so we can help in a practical way (if we can). Cheer-up. I remember vividly a certain Christmas from 10yrs ago, I had garri and groundnut to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. I went to church hungry and came back hungry. Never give up and surely if you persevere (regardless the level of work) you will surely succeed, God or no God. but if it keeps hope and courage then i leave you with a verse from Mathew 5:45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. There are opportunities and you can fashion out one if you don't like the ones you see |
