Politics / Rudolf De Passe Captures Trump Vs Kamala's Debate In An Ebook by lagosapple: 7:33pm On Sep 08
Writer Rudolf de Passe captures Trump Vs Kamala's debate in an ebook.

Imagine a world where Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, on the eve of their first presidential debate, share a private, unfiltered conversation that reveals the true depths of their characters. This is the premise of Rudolf de Passé’s daring, thought-provoking book, When Trump Met Kamala.
With meticulous research and a keen eye for detail, de Passé weaves together the public personas and intimate biographies of these two larger-than-life figures. The result is a story both deeply human and undeniably gripping–one that will leave Trump supporters cheering and Harris backers inspired.
Structured into four riveting acts, the conversation plunges readers into the uncharted territories of these global political icons’ minds. It’s a journey that blends the stark realities of their lives with the imaginative possibilities of fiction, promising to either shatter preconceptions or reaffirm deeply held beliefs.
De Passé’s signature rich, evocative dialogue finds its perfect match in Donald and Kamala, as metaphors and similes dance across the page. This is more than a play–it’s an immersive experience that challenges, provokes, and ultimately transforms how we see these figures and the presidency itself.
From the acclaimed author of “Please Forgive Me” and “Rev. Sister Agnes’ Tales from Hess Island: Me Too, She Wrote” comes a work that will redefine the boundaries of political fiction. Brace yourself for a reading experience that will leave you questioning everything you thought you knew about power, ambition, and the human side of history’s movers and shakers.

Politics / This Presidential Speech Would Have Been Better Than The One Tinubu Delivered by lagosapple: 2:04pm On Aug 04
Fellow Nigerians,

I address you today not because you people have been calling on me to speak to the citizens of Nigeria. I am not doing this because some of you have been making noise on the streets of Abuja, Lagos, and Kano. Such behaviours do not move me. I am the Jagaban. Nobody pushes me around. Iro! If you don’t know who I am, go and ask them in Lagos. I can rule Nigeria for eight years without holding a single press conference or speaking to Nigerians in a live broadcast. Heaven will not fall.

I make this exception today because I sent my vice president out to calm you all down, only for him to call the people protesting idiots…

Join us on the last HaveYourSay247 of 2023 on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 4.00 PM Nigerian Time and10.00 AM New York Time.

Topics: Lessons from Governor Akeredolu’s death and its hijack by ethnic warriors point to a deeper problem. If the “Person of the Year” is a man or woman who epitomized the year for good or bad, who is Nigeria’s Person of the Year 2023? Is it Bola Tinubu or Peter Obi or Hilda Baci, or Mohbad or Portable, or Victor Osimhen? Soyinka visits Tinubu and announces that he will give the president a year of honeymoon before assessing his performance. What are the key stories of 2023? What are your projections for 2024? Will Portable make it on Barack Obama’s favorite songs of 2024?

Politics / What Made Bayo Onanuga To Become A Genocide Enabler? by lagosapple: 3:12pm On Mar 21, 2023
That is what I would have called the article. But I am not Rudolph Okonkwo.

My column for the week:

“…Those who intend to perpetuate genocide begin by finding ways, using laws and customs, to deny rights to the group they intend to slaughter. As it happened to the Jews, the Germans denied them full citizenship. And it appeared right to decent Germans. What often follows is a restriction on employment, political participation, and empowerment. In the Nigerian context, the issue of indigeneship versus citizenship comes to mind. And as we have seen in recent times, the matter of the right to vote and the right to be voted for. Discrimination can advance to what Prof. Alan Whitehorn called stigmatisation. A targeted group is given a stigma on which they would be hanged.

It is important for future perpetrators of genocide like Bayo Onanuga to dehumanise their victims. They need to be dehumanised so that their eventual killings would be guilty-free or guilty-lite. The Germans discriminated against and dehumanised the Jews. They fabricated stories blaming the Jews for all of Germany’s economic woes. Another tool used by perpetrators of genocide is to create an elaborate stereotype of the victims and put every targeted group member into that jacket. Good examples are: they are all thieves; they all love money; they are all dirty; they worship the wrong God etc. At this moment, the massacre of Muslims in the Central African Republic comes to mind.

In effect, part of the preparation for genocide is to induce hate for the targeted group through the vile simplification of complex human issues. For instance, if some group members are mafia leaders, the problem is a law and order problem. In this case, law enforcement will do well to treat people as individuals and hold them accountable for falling afoul of the law. It is not something that demands the generalisation of the group in question. A good example is the mafia problem in America in the 50s, 60s, and 70s. Though most mafia leaders were of Italian descent, America did not tag every Italian American as a mafia. In fact, one of the people that brought the mafia in New York City to its knees was an Italian-American prosecutor named Rudy Giuliani…”

Politics / Is It True That We Are All Ritual Killers? Rudolph Okonkwo Thinks So by lagosapple: 5:00pm On Feb 12, 2022
Is it true that we are all ritual killers? Rudolph Okonkwo thinks so... he thinks we do so in open and sutle manners. Please read.

“…Some young men in ripped jeans are killing their girlfriends, husbands in overflowing agbada are killing their wives, and random men of every hue are killing women they met at a party or on the street. It is so widespread that one wonders how men and women forge relationships in Nigeria and how society still functions when going out and about as a woman is such a risk. The risks are the same, whether you sell oranges on the streets or attend a posh party in an enclave in Lekki, Lagos. Some men, who you cannot easily distinguish by their look or status, have evil plans for you.

“In the closest, behind their waterbed, under the immaculate pillow, in the medicine cabinet beside codeine and chloroquine, inside the stove compartment where kerosene goes, they have otapiapia hidden and sharpened machete ready to strike. Since they have no fear of human blood, they will grab you at the most unexpected time and slaughter.

“They hated biology in school but could harvest organs like a surgeon. They follow the specifications of a dirty older man in a dilapidated kiosk in a remote part of town or inside an evil forest. They may not have graduated from college, but they got associate degrees in sleeping with mad women and passing 40 nights and 40 days in cold graveyards. They have graduated from collecting women’s panties, menstruation pads, and discarded body fluids. The more disgusting the item is, the more potent the dirty older man assures them it will be. So, they dig deeper and deeper. The first beheading was hard for them. But the second was a breeze.

Ritual killings work because… Nobody is held accountable for anything – not your politician, pastor, and professor. In such a society, everything goes. Parents of children who come home with inexplicable wealth do not question their source, and constituents of politicians who serve six months in office and instantly display exotic cars and mansions do not query the sources of their newly found fortune. Instead, they get chieftaincy titles and front-row seats in churches and village events. In such a society, everyone goes to the end of the world to make it. The end justifies the means…

Politics / A Nice Weekend Read: How Bola Tinubu Saved Nigeria And Made Heaven by lagosapple: 3:24pm On Jan 29, 2022
A nice weekend read

… A bright dazzling light shined on the face of Bola Tinubu as he walked up to the podium. He appeared so young and bubbly, with a broad smile decorating his face. There was no sign of wrinkles on his forehead or bags under his eyes. His gait was strong and his steps were swift. I was not the only one taken aback by his transformation.

“Money good ooo,” the man beside me whispered. “Look at how young the man looks.” I wanted to tell the man that two weeks of drinking Ensure would do the magic on anybody, but I held my peace.

“Our next president,” the crowd shouted.

“Four more years,” others shouted.

In the middle of the hall, Tinubu waved at them and signalled the excited crowd to take their seats. There was a new relaxed impetus in his posture. It took a few minutes before the audience settled down. Bola Tinubu cleared his throat, followed the traditional Nigerian protocol of greeting dignitaries in the audience, and then started.

“When I announced that I was running for president, it inspired those of you here to visualise a brighter future for our dear country. You all deployed immediately across Nigeria, canvassing for support and selling our impeccable vision of a new Nigeria. I appreciate how you have shaken the political table of Nigeria in this short period. You have run our potential challengers out of the arena or under their mother’s bed. I appreciate you all. You are the proof that when a great idea rises, meets great moments, it shows the people the light.”

Something in Tinubu’s unusually smooth voice, the long smirk on his check, the periodic pursed lips, didn’t sync with the words coming out of his mouth.

“Having said that, I have had ample time to consult and survey our political stage. While I can easily see that I have no equal out there; while I am sure that the presidency of Nigeria will be a cakewalk for us, I have had the time to think beyond what I want. Our beloved country has blessed me beyond my wildest dreams. At this point in my life, things that move me are beyond things that I, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the Jagaban want. American author Zig Ziglar said it best, “Don’t give up what you want most for what you want now.”

He paused, looked around as if to see if the Zig Ziglars in the audience approved…”

Politics / Why Bola Tinubu Lost 2023 Presidential Election by lagosapple: 2:32am On Jan 17, 2022
“…We can find in three folds everything wrong with Muhammadu Buhari in Bola Tinubu. In 2015, there was the myth that Buhari’s abbreviated performance in 1984 as the military Head of State was what Nigeria needed. We cannot say the same about Tinubu. Nobody can say that Tinubu’s abysmal performance as governor in Lagos State from 1999 – 2007 displayed any spark of brilliance that can make a dent in Nigeria’s precarious situation today. In 2015, some thought Buhari was disciplined. In 2022, everyone knows that Tinubu is not disciplined. In 2015, some saw Buhari as incorruptible. In 2022, everyone knows Tinubu as the epitome of bullion-van-level corruption in Nigeria. In 2015, some looked at Buhari as healthy and agile. In 2022, everyone knows Tinubu is ill and sluggish. In 2015, some perceived Buhari as someone that commanded respect within military circles. In 2022, everyone knows that the only military wings that respect Tinubu are the touts, alayes and the area boys. …

“If APC fields Tinubu as its presidential candidate, APC is finished. If APC does not field Tinubu as its presidential candidate, APC is finished. As a result of that reality, APC is trying, but it has not found a way to extricate itself from that quagmire.

“If Tinubu were to become the presidential candidate of the APC, his first challenge is finding a Vice Presidential candidate that will be satisfactory to Northern leaders. As we have seen in the past, a Northern Christian is not satisfactory to the North as a vice presidential candidate when the presidential candidate is a Southern. It doesn’t matter if the Southern is a Muslim because, in the North, a Southern Muslim is not seen as authentic as a Northern Muslim. The North would rather have a Southern Christian president with a Muslim vice president than a Southern Muslim president with a Northern Christian vice president.
“While a Muslim-Muslim ticket could win the presidency in 1993, it was unacceptable in 2015. And that was why Bola Tinubu was not named the Vice President to Buhari then. Buhari’s performance makes it ten times more difficult to sell a Muslim-Muslim ticket to Nigerians in 2023. Of course, Bola Tinubu thinks he can sell it, another indication that he lives in a world of those who have taken mkpurummiri. Tinubu thinks his Southwest base, known to care less about whether their leader is Muslim or Christian, will abide by him. This is so 1993.

If you want to help lift my burden
Please don't try to fix me.

Politics / Ahmed Lawan: The Man Who Killed Nigeria To Death By Rudolph Okonkwo by lagosapple: 3:50pm On May 16, 2021
“…In his two years as senate president, Mr Lawan has done nothing to improve the quality of governance in Nigeria. In trying to avoid conflicts with the executive, he abdicated his responsibility to hold the executive accountable and ensure accountability and government transparency. With little understanding of the importance of the parliament in overseeing the executive and the judiciary, he has failed to meet public expectations or even reflect the public’s concerns. Instead of establishing democratic norms, Mr Lawan has only become an accomplice in lowering the democratic IQ of the nation and the consequence crippling of any progressive reforms…”

“…Mr Lawan does not need to show brilliance to serve the Nigerian people he represents in the senate. He only needs to show a basic understanding of the role of the parliament in a representative democracy. And that fundamental is something that he lacks. And Nigeria is paying a huge price for it today. If these were ordinary days, it would not have mattered so much. After all, he was not the first mediocre senate president in Nigeria and won’t be the last. Unfortunately, these are extraordinary days when Nigeria needs its best eleven to have any chance of surviving.

“Every public utterance of Mr Lawan is a display of an unending cringe-inducing show. Where will one begin? Is it his reaction to Southern Governors who met in Asaba and demanded the restructuring of the country? The best Mr Lawan could offer was to knock the governors for not starting the reforms at the state level by granting independence to the local governments. Or was it is the bizarre argument that elected leaders should not champion agitations. This was coming from the man leading a national assembly that is supposedly overseeing a constitutional review.

“And if this is happening in an era when there is brilliance up or down the Nigerian succession line, Nigeria could have endured such misfortune and hope for better luck next time. But in this critical time when everything is at stake, a senate president of Mr Lawan’s calibre is a death knell for Nigeria.

“Unless a miracle happens, when Nigeria’s obituary is written, the name of Ahmed Lawan will be at the top of the list of the undertakers. History will remember Mr Lawan as a bad carpenter who was brought in at the dying minute to keep the leaking Nigerian boat afloat. But due to bad workmanship, he inflicted the deadly hole that finally sank the boat. On Mr Lawan’s tombstone, it shall be written in bold letters: Here lies the man who killed Nigeria to death.

Foreign Affairs / President Donald J. Trump’s Concession Speech (Satire) by lagosapple: 4:18pm On Nov 08, 2020
Frankly, I have done everything that I set out to do – most of which were things that have never been done before. I have in place the greatest military that humans ever assembled for our incredible men and women in uniform. I assembled it in just four years by rebuilding our powerful military that they destroyed due to neglect and incompetence. I secured America from coast to coast with walls and wires, cages and visa bans. I took care of it, just as I promised I would do. I returned America under God. Before I came, they had taken America to the shrines of the devil.

Americans love me because of these outstanding accomplishments. I have seen it on the faces of fabulous Americans while I traveled around the country in the last few weeks.

To be perfectly honest, I could stay around and fight. And it is a fight that I know that I will win. But I have decided not to. There is no point.

I believe that I have nothing else left to prove. My achievements will be around till the end of time. I won’t be surprised if, by January 20, 2021, my face would go up on Mount Rushmore to join other presidents of my caliber. It won’t surprise me one bit. People think it is going to happen.

To all my special supporters, I say thank you for the unbelievable fantastic ride. Don’t despair, for I will send you a brilliant comforter. Those stupid little lightweights on the other side who have no clue may taunt you. When those clowns do, remind the goofy and crooked losers that I made America great again. Tell those terrible lowlifes that they have proved themselves unworthy of Donald Trump’s genius and had opted to reduce America to a Second Class nation in the world. Total Disaster!

Politics / What Sharia Law? Atiku-ribadu Wedding Makes A Mockery Of The Mentality Of The Ni by lagosapple: 2:35am On Oct 10, 2020
Not long ago, former EFCC Chairman Nuhu Ribadu was hunting former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, cataloging his acts of corruption. Not long ago, the two fought each other in different political parties, with the masses lining up behind the two, ready to crush themselves to death just to please Atiku and Ribadu. Not long ago, under the Obasanjo-Atiku government, Sharia law was introduced in twelves northern states to establish pure Islam and punish those who take a different path. At the wedding of Atiku's son to Ribadu's daughter, all those rules for "the wretched of the earth" were thrown out of the window. Bola Tinubu, Akande, Ribadu, Atiku came together to party. Dr. Damages thinks it is a moment for the masses to reflect on how the ruling elite use them to achieve their personal goals.

Politics / How Will Olusegun Obasanjo's Funeral Look Like? by lagosapple: 9:33pm On Aug 13, 2020
This is crazy. In light of what former President Obasanjo said about Kashamu, Dr. Damages imagined his funeral. It is so surreal.

Urgent Care 14: Obasanjo’s funeral

When former Senator Buruji Kashamu died, former President Olusegun Obasanjo sent a toxic condolence letter to the governor of Ogun State. In the letter, Obasanjo criticized the dead man, basically condemning him to eternal damnation. People who felt it was unbecoming of an African elder to say bad things about the dead, especially when the man was a member and financer of Obasanjo's party and was freed from British prison when Obasanjo's government cleared him of drug-related charges. Those who criticized Obasanjo got a stern pushback from him. He told them to say whatever they liked when he dies. Dr. Damages thinks there is a better way. Instead of waiting for Obasanjo to die, why not write his obituary while he is alive? There is no better honor to be bestowed to a man than to have him read his obituary while alive. If not for anything, it gives him a chance to edit it. Scratch that! Maybe there is a better honor after all - to have him watch his own funeral. And that is what Dr. Damages did here - show Obasanjo his funeral. If you take it seriously, it is your own funeral.

In this video essay, Rudolf Ogoo Okonkwo used the recent concern raised about an upcoming secession crisis in America to warn that Nigeria is in deeper trouble than previously believed. If America is concerned about secession, Nigeria should be in panic mood. Despite the differences in the social-political health of America vs Nigeria, the solution to the problem is the same.

Politics / Two Days After Dr. Damages Called For Buhari To Resign, Senator Abaribe ... by lagosapple: 5:13pm On Jan 30, 2020
Two days after Dr. Damages called for Buhari to resign, Senator Abaribe made it main stream. Now you can see why Auntie Onochie is calling the senator a buffoon.

Happy Chinese New Year! It is the year of the rat. Dr. Damages smells a rat this week. Your good doctor predicts that very soon Chinese New Year will be a big event all across Africa. For a moment during Africa's investment summit in London, President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria was AWOL. Dr. Damages takes a guess as to what happened to the president. As the great Amotekun debate continues in Nigeria, Miyetti Allah joins a televised debate. It was more profound than the debate between Thomas Jefferson and James Madison in the Federalist Papers. Dr. Damages thinks the long-feared Sovereign National Conference is finally taking place in Nigeria with Femi Fani-Kayode, Junaid Muhammed, and Nnamdi Kanu participating. Billions of locusts invade Kenya, Somalia and as they head to Uganda, Dr. Damages wonders what the next plague will be and what message this biblical event is sending to the Pharaohs of today. Once again, Dr. Damages presents the headline news across African newspapers.

Politics / What Would Change If There Were Enough Sharia In Nigerian Constitution By Dr. D by lagosapple: 12:33am On Dec 23, 2019
“As you all know, the main trouble with Nigeria is that there were not enough aspects of Sharia law in the constitution. If there were, the governor of Kano state, His Excellency Abdullahi Ganduje, would not be caught on camera collecting bribes in dollars and still have his two hands intact.

“Sharia police would have dismantled his hands and used them as compost or placed in a museum.

“If there were enough aspects of Sharia laws in the Nigerian constitution, President Buhari’s media spokesman, Garba Shehu, would not have had the audacity to put his legs in the same trouser with the First Lady, Aisha Buhari. Sharia police would have dismantled Garba Shehu’s legs for committing that abomination. And his legs would have been used as compost or placed in museum.

“I tell you, if there were enough aspects of Sharia laws in the Nigerian constitution, Omoyele Sowore would have married four wives and would have had 20 children by now. Which means that he would have thought about it twice before he went about talking about a revolution.”

Politics / After Orji Uzo Kalu, Will Bola Tinubu Be Next? by lagosapple: 11:22pm On Dec 05, 2019
Just a day after Dr. Damages listed ex-governors, their deputies and speakers of the state houses of Assembly as the real kidnappers of Nigeria's wealth, Orji Uzo Kalu goes under. Will Bola Tinubu be next? I know he currently has no case in court, but could the cabal come up with one? It shouldn't be difficult.

Here is Dr. Damages take on all those rogues.

Dr. Damages Show 402: Ex-Govs as the real kidnappers of Nigeria’s wealth

The real reason why they don’t want you to have a free social media is to stop you from asking questions – questions like “are former governors who get N10 million a month as upkeep allowance the real kidnappers of Nigerian wealth?” “Are the millions these retired governors, their deputies and the state assembly speakers and deputy speaker collect a month, rent or ransom?” Dr. Damages provides the answers. He also questions First Lady Aisha Buhari’s support for Chinese style social media control without embracing Chinese corruption control measures.

Politics / The Miseducation Of Aisha Buhari by lagosapple: 7:47am On Dec 05, 2019
The wife of President Muhammadu Buhari came out in support of government control of social media in Nigeria. She invoked the Chinese style and wondered why Nigeria could not control mere 180 million people when China could control 1.3 billion citizens. Dr. Damages digs into the miseducation of Aisha Buhari. Your good doctor offers a deal to Aisha Buhari under which Nigerians will gladly hand over the control of our social media to her husband. Will Aisha Buhari take it?

Politics / Sowore's Plight & The Complete Humiliation Of Vice President Osinbajo by lagosapple: 7:13am On Nov 12, 2019
In my humble opinion, this is one of his best episodes. Check it out!

You must believe it - the sacking of 35 aides of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was just an outcome of an ongoing streamlining of the workforce within Nigeria’s presidency. If you don’t believe it, you must be a mischief-maker who thinks that the humiliation of Vice President is in the final stage. Dr. Damages, a peace-loving gentleman, unpacks the stories behind the news. Your good doctor defends the allegation that Osinbajo has lost his manhood. As the plight of Omoyele Sowore in the hands of the DSS continues, Dr. Damages narrates the story of last week and proposes the way out.

Politics / How VP Osinbajo & Gov. Obiano Escaped An Attack Of Biafrans In America by lagosapple: 4:26pm On Aug 24, 2019
I didn't know that during his visit last December to Boston, Gov. Obiano of Anambra State escaped an Ekweremadu kind of Attack in Boston. And the Vice President of Nigeria Prof. Yemi osinbajo avoided the same just this February. Dr. Damages in episode 388 explained how they did it. Apparently, Ike Ekweremadu did not pay attention to measures his fellow politicians have put in place to avoid such embarrassment. Here is Dr. damages revealing these and other behind the story intrigues.

Dr. Damages Show- episode 388: Biafrans welcome Ekweremadu to Germany for New Yam festival

Bad things are not supposed to be funny but once in a while it happens. When a man left his 22 houses in Nigeria, travelled to Germany, dressed up in Nigeria’s coat of arms to attend an Igbo new yam festival, nobody expected anything but adoration for an august visitor of Senator Ike Ekweremadu’s status. But then again, nobody expected the Biafrans to come and welcome a Nigerian senator to the occasion. Dr. Damages takes the story of the trial of Ik Ekweremadu in Nuremburg, Germany, from that point to places you won’t ever imagine, including who is safe and who is not safe from the Biafrans. El Zakzaky suddenly returned from India where he had gone for medical treatment. Dr. Damages tells you why.

Politics / 18 Men Died Defending Me, Says Nnamdi Kanu by lagosapple: 1:07am On Jul 10, 2019
The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has warned those who take IPOB for granted that they are playing with fire. He made this known during an interview with IrokopostTV’s Rudolf Okonkwo. ““You think as I am, 18 men died defending me to get me out of my house, then you kill me and they will keep quiet?” he said. “Seriously speaking, is that what any sensible person will think? This hardcore IPOB?”

During a New York Town hall meeting, the IPOB leader had said that if anything happened to him, millions of suicide bombers would strike northern cities. When offered the chance to clarify, he said, “If you want to know what will happen, then arrange to have me killed. Then you will see what will happen.”

On what he learned from the experience of the men who fought during the first Biafran struggle, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu said that the day the former Biafran leader, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, declared for NPN was the end of the Igbo race. “From that day till today, we haven’t recovered,” he said, “and we will likely never recover until Biafra comes.”

The Biafran leader said that Ojukwu was deceived by those working for the Fulanis to join politics under the impression that he could get Biafra through politics. He said IPOB had learnt that lesson and would never join partisan politics.

“We were raised believing that our messiah (Ojukwu) will come back,” he said. “And when Ojukwu comes back, that all the Fulanis and Hausas will run away. He came back and joined them.”

Mazi Kanu said that it was from that day that Igbo people started the stampede to be servants of the Hausa.

On whether he called Asari Dokubo a big belly coward and accused him of receiving $10 million dollars from the government, Kanu, deflected the question. “If I say you are a criminal, I tell the world what you stole,” he said. “I’m not a village drop out.”

He went on to vow that, “most of these people controlled by the Northern Fulani leadership cannot stop Biafra.” He added, “they will try and try, they will never succeed.”

Mazi Kanu went on to blame what he called the Yoruba media for changing the narrative of his ordeal with the Nigerian state. “That is why I hate the Yoruba media with passion,” he said. “The Yoruba media will make you feel that talking about Biafra is a crime.” He went on to state that demanding for secession is allowed in Nigeria’s constitution.
