The Abuja election was a classic example IMO, CPC won at Aso rock and all the major polling centers in Abuja only for some massive figures to trickle in from God knows where. ![]() |
I was fowarded this Here is how northern states were rigged in favour of the PDP: Each polling unit with more than 500 registered voters have sub polling units. These sub units exist only on papers and not physically because INEC claimed they can't afford to pay extra staff for the sub units. Therefore, the ballot papers for the sub units were then thumb printed in favour of the ruling party in connivance with the Residence Electoral Officers. So, even if an opposition party led in the major polling units, like was indeed the case, the sum total of rigged votes from sub polling units was what reversed CPC gains. My sources were the many corps members who witnessed, first hand these manipulations. > We therefore call on all well meaning Nigerians who deserve a successful democracy with leaders of their choice in Power to send this message out. > This will alert INEC that we know their plans. Nigerians are not fools! Party officials of all the parties should also get the verified list of polling units and have their representatives there. Any polling unit or sub-polling unit on paper but not actually on ground will be noted by these party officials and the whistle blown early enough! Please let's get broadcasting, !!! |
Please keep spreading the message. Foward it to everyone you know. |
Johns83:The way these guy are spending money , is there hope for this country ? ? Even ACN is spending money like water. My friends on ground told me ACN spent 100 million 24 hrs to the cancelled election two weeks ago. |
ÄCN were a bit hardline on the negotiations when they said the recieved "intelligence reports" that CPc doesnt even have the funds to pay party agents this saturday. Guys i thinkif we can we should please donate to the main campaign at this moment. Nigerian Politics is real war, Finance is a major factor and if Buhari had a just couple of honest Rich men behind him such useless comments will not be comming from ACN. |
If the story is true , i believe sometimes one has to make compromises in politics. Good to hear Ribadu agreed to step down,. I dont want to believe Bakare refused to sign that letter based on selfsih reasons because he was the same person who offered to step aside if Buhari wanted to choose Ngozi Iweala. I personally feel Buhari should have offered Bakare a buffer of appointing him as chief of staff or SGF which IMO is practically stronger than a VP. Although a VP is constituitonally stronger. All we want is these good men in power and in control, your position is not as important now. Buhari already knows whom he will trust and whom he will solicit advice from as at the end of the day he is President. Poltitics has many tricks in it, one has to learn how to out manouvre the other person smoothly as well as cunningly. The post dated letter will not hold water if Bakare even refuses to go. Having said that i really dont know how much votes ACN can actually garner for Buhari in the SW , maybe 20% more votes than he will ordinarily achieve. Saturday will enable us know God willing. |
big Sigh We dont know who to believe anymore, there are more than 4 versions to this story |
People that have been alleging this woman is a desperate politician were not wrong afterall. From working for OBJ to begging for ministerial appointment, to coocking for Turai only to betray her and now rigging election. |
PapaBrowne:Can you show me where i have insulted Knowall on this thread |
Beaf:Please be matured enough to know the fine line between poltical differences and insulting another religion. I will not waste my time schooling you but I want to still believe you have a conscience to tell you , your statements are bigoted and needless. |
Beaf:Please in the name of God dont let us go down relgious intolerance. What has sharia got to do with this. Why do you have to insult the senesitivities of millions of muslims. You have a right to support GEJ but not bashing the religon of another candidate. As far as i know I have not thrown one insult at knowall and i never insult anyone here on NL. You could prove me wrong if you can. |
sholasys:It is 25% of each state , the whole idea is to prevent a president emerging just with the support of his region. A leadear has to have support across at least 4 out of the 6 geo political zones of the country |
X-factoria:What kind of comparison are you making ? We are talking about an election in 3 days time , where did you get the notion that the cause is lost. Why will you give up in an election where everyone knows you have a chance of winning, an election 65% at least of northern votes will go to you. It is called principles buddie, we see integrity in Buhari and Bakare and we will vote for them Elections is not a do or die affair, if we lose we lose this is politcs. This i have to win mentality is what is killing our politics, if there was no opposition Nigeria would have been a 1 party state. |
NJN:This is the problem in the murky waters of Nigerian politics, Principled men never go far in anything. Hisintegrity has brought him this far and it will God willing propel him to Aso Rock in May. This is the last lap and we shall not give up. |
sholasys:If he wins by landslide and does not achieve 25% of votes in 2/3 of the country which is 24 states then the election goes to a run off between the winner and 2nd . The Nigerian populace now have another chance to vote between the 2 of them. with or without ACns support the Nigerian people have the final say. |
agabaI23: funny though |
We are still awaiting Aisha and other to please come and give us the details of the town hall meeting |
agabaI23:GEJ is a strong president and Buhari a weak general Even a donkey will laugh at this notion. |
ekt_bear:I love this expression ![]() |
Jarus:this is now my take as well. I now really want us to go to this election alone and we can see who has real mandate amongst the people. |
ziccoit:Exactly my thoughts |
I am hearing from 3 diff sources at the moment. I hope it is not another rumour because they were just at the town hall meeting couple of hours ago so when did they have another meeting to sign this deal |
9ijaMan:Another guy is saying the same thing as you that Bakare has signed the letter. |
Who is this? why not give us more info |
Genbuhari3:I love this |
I think PDP might get the spread but i am banking on highest number of votes for Buhari and a victory if we get the requirment in the SW The SW is the game changer in this election as we all know. |
Text of Press Conference Addressed by Chief Bisi Akande (ACN)Wednesday, April 13, 2011 Presidential Election: There is no pact between ACN and CPC – ACN The Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) wishes to inform all its teeming supporters as well as all Nigerians that there is no alliance between the party and the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) ahead of Saturday's presidential election. While it is true that representatives of both parties have engaged in talks aimed at forging an alliance that could dislodge the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the clueless party that has frittered away the huge opportunities that could have transformed our great country in the past 12 years, we regret to announce that such talks have not led to any alliance. We as party that believes in democratic values have therefore decided that in the overall interest of the parties involved, our democracy as well as our country, it is better for each of the parties to go into the presidential election on its own platform. If at the end of the election on Saturday there is no clear winner we will make a decision on which way to go, in the overriding interest of all Nigerians. Chief Bisi Akande National Chairman Action Congress of Nigeria Abuja April 13, 2011 |
9ijaMan:Lets wait to see then as so many twist in this election. 24 hours is a long time in politics |
Jarus:Is it true the Peoples general shed tears for the nation while he spoke ? 9ijaMan:I think the alliance is dead for the saturday election. Bisi Akande already issued a statement to this effect. |
Guys from the Townhall meeting, any feedback on how it went? How was the press conference? |
Bisi akande we all know is a Buhari hater right from time. Let every man go himself and let us see who has real support Shikena. All we want is a free election and fair one free from rigging |
This is nothing about Ciroma, is Ciroma going to be the president, the same Ciroma GEJ has been begging for 3 months ? Ciroma has seen the signs on the wall about Buharis popularity abd does not want to be on the losing side. This is no nothern issue it is about our future as a country. Common i thought you were more than this. |

This is bad mehn!! We need to learn to be tolerant no matter what views others have!! The same religious vigour that sees terrorists bombing innocent citizens is the same kind of intolerance that is been visited on those that choose to take a stand in line with their conscience. This is not a religion that says if you convert, you should be killed. This is an election please and people should be free to switch sides!!
