Let us be cautious before singing praises. This election is in 3 phases and this is just legislative election , the presidential and governorship elecion will determine the success. However , if this process is repeated then it should be successfull.

There are repors of problems in Imo, Delta  and Rivers regarding ballot snatching and other things.

In fact Bankole has lost in front his house as well. ACN had like 150 , pdp 85.

OBJhas lost in his Ita Eko houe since 1999 and has lost again.
PoliticsRe: Bola Tinubu; I Am On A Crusade (video) by Lagosboy: 4:53pm On Apr 08, 2011
Maybe when Remi Tinubu loses on saturday which i am hoping he does, Tinubu will be humbled and stop imposition of candidates like Lagos is his property. Lagos is for Lagoians and not to be in the hands of one godfather in Bourdillion. 6 members of your family in an election and someone thinks he is fighting for u,give me a break!!

All this PDP this PDP that , if you see all these guys socialising behind closed doors , that day you will weep for common people who kill themselves because of some of these politiicans.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu To Fashola: If My Wife Loses On Saturday, I Will Work Against You by Lagosboy: 4:45pm On Apr 08, 2011
Remi Tinubu desreves to lose woefully, in fact i am really hoping she loses like hell Lagos islanders, mainlanders, surelere guys abeg vote for labour. Remi's loss will humble the chameleon lord of Bourdilloun, it will clip his wings and it will stop them from imposing candidates.

There is no proof that Fashola himself wrote those messages and in fact Tinubu can do it himself and even if fashola did it , it makes no difference as this is not about Fashola but about principles.

@xfactoria abeg rally all your guys and deal Remi a huge blow as she has no use in the senate except to go become a spectator. Tinubu is sending her to Abua so he can have more time for his many girlfriends in Lagos.

The Osun Radio people were hesitant to collect our jingle(opposition party). I'm disappointed in this ACN-controlled state. If it was PDP I'll not be surprised, but with ACN also trying to muzzle opposition in Osun is disappointing.

Anyway, after listening to the content and ensured nothing is offensive there, they reluctantly agreed, but with an extra charge of N1,000 per slot. So in addition to 84,000 I paid yesterday I paid them another 8,000 today. Standard is 10,500 per slot, I don't know why they charged us 1,000 extra, is it because it's not ACN?

I will not like to escalate it, but I'm disappointed in this Osun ACN-controlled radio station.

Anyway, our advert will start running on Osun radio Sunday morning.
Bro, you can see some of the reasons why i have been particulalrly hard on ACN , these people i know them like the palm of my hands, some of them will be worse than PDP if they get power. I have lots of friends who are victims of this dicatotrial rubbish in ACN.

I beg you all to please tone down the use of words , please sheathe your swords i beg.

@Sister uplawal but why is it you yesterday , you today , you tomorrow, there must be a reason for this. Read back to the post and the begining of all these fights would not have occured if you never took LADYs post in bad spirit. There are lots of good christians and we dont have to always fight non muslims for no reason. There are bad muslims as well just like there are bad christians.

Please treat everyones posts at its face value and you need not read meanings that are not there into it. Lady extracted some comments from my previous posts advising muslim women. She only wanted to butress the point and further encouraged muslim women to heed the advice as many Christian women have gone astray due to the opposite. I know you don’t have to please everyone and we are to please Allah but Allah enjoins us not to be quarrelsome, if someone uses bad words for you , don’t degenerate to the persons low position by retaliating but rather advise the person.

The prophet PBUH said the strong person is the one who is able to restrain his anger. Please your contributions on the forum are valuable and your presence is always welcomed on the threads but please don’t always go on the offensive. You were guided into the light of islam by Allahs mercy , don’t look down on others that are not muslims or muslims that you think are not as good as you. Only Allah knows where our destination is and the keys of hell and heaven was not given to us, please never say “you are destined for hell or going to hell” . Allah only describe the actions that could lead to hell but it is for him to Judge not for us.

I beg you in the name of our Lord to heed this advice and take it in good faith as I mean no harm.
PoliticsRe: Bola Tinubu; I Am On A Crusade (video) by Lagosboy: 10:00am On Apr 08, 2011
Anyone thinking Tinubu is in the opposition because of us is deluding himself. Tinubu is in the opposition because it serves his personal interest. Tinubu has nothing to gain from PDP but has everything to gain from being in charge of the SW and be a king in the SW than be a prince in the PDP where there will be many like him and cannot have control.

We seem to underestimate the strategic importance of Lagos and the kind of funds that could be made from Lagos, not even from looting but from having influence in Lagos. God knows the amount of Lagos lands, Tinubu, Ashafa, Hakeem have cornered for Tinubu. Tinubu was the first person in ACN that chose to romance the Late Yaradua govt at the expense of his party´s aspirant Atiku. I am not an Atiku fan but Tinubu froze Atiku out simply because he did not make him VP aspirant but chose Ben´Obi in 2007. Atiku himself was stupid to have gone to beg OBJ without consulting with his party.

Tinubu saying he wants to free Nigeria from PDP means he wants to take Nigeria from PDP and put Nigeria under his firm grip. LAst time i checked PDP is bad because of the people in PDP and not because PDP itself is a human being, Ararume the PDP fraudster is ACN now, Geroge Akume of PD is ACN now, Abiye Sekibo is PDP now, Sulivan Chime was literally begged to come to ACN but he refused, Saminu Turaki who looted 32 billion is now ACN, Ribadu was PDP but now ACN.

We are recycling the same old politicans who spoilt Nigeria into a different party and we are being decieved to think ACN is a party of saints and just being ACN will guarantee development. Whati will never take away from Tinubu though is his SMARTNESS , he is extremely street wise and very smart , he has been able to corner the media as well which has resulted in him developing a teflonic skin to which nothing derogatory sticks.

Tinubu fought OBJ, Orji Kalu as well fought OBJ to a standstill, Rimi fought OBJ to a standstill and so many other people. Tinubu was more successfull because of strategic importance of LAgos. Until Tinubu is frozen out of ACN, i will always be hesistant in giving my support to the party, i like Fasholas brilliance though. I wish Labour party teaches Tinubu a lesson in Lagos central and after that no god father will have the effontary to insult Lagosians by imposing 6 family members on the state in an election.

IPP and bonds were good ideas from him and it is not rocket science but kudos to him.

Wao, i never knew this thread has been here. My personal experience in Lagos is that it is easy to win votes for BB in Lagos. It has even become easier for me since a friend supplied hundreds of handbills and logo cards to me. Since i work in contruction sites, i just cast my net wide and you can imagine the catch! Kudos guy. BB is a good product. The emphasis on corruption sells alot. Nigeria's case is one of a leaking bucket, we need to patch up that leakage (corruption) so that it can sustain water (development). I know many guys around who are really doing a lot.

Man mi, I don't like it at all and as I keep telling you , I am no fan of Tinubu. I see him , for now , as a neccesary evil. Tinubu , even with flaws considered , should also be praised for what he has achieved for his region given the environment he had to operate in and the folks he had to stand up against. Where we differ is that I think it is more feasible and far easier, as the ACN grows, for men like Fashola to gain greater control and influence , to the benefit of Nigeria, than for us to consider a totally new platform. Did you know that Atiku is a founding father of the PDP? Yet today he is out in the cold in testimony to how Political Parties will grow beyond the influence and domination of those who founded them !!!

Tinubu , no doubt , will be sidelined when the spread of the ACN gets bigger and wider . Trust me . It is difficult for a jobless Party boss , with no official power, to control Party members who actually hold influential positions . Tinubu may have wanted Fashola out but he knew that Fashola , as a much respected incumbent Governor , would simply move to the PDP and win Lagos for the ruling Party. Same goes for Oshiomhole and co. Politics requires strategic thinking and not impatience or rash judgement . Developing a new platform , with no assurance of success, is a far greater gamble than refining an already existing platform and making it more effective. Tinubu may be a 'strongman' in the ACN party but he will have to share the platform with guys like Fashola, Oshiomhole et al as those guys grow in influence, visibilty and political sagacity.
It will be my joy if this happens, however forming a new structure is not entirely rash and could actually be long term strategic thinking. Sometimes, there are always enemies of progress in some parties that will forever be clog in the wheel of progress. It depends on ones long term objective, I personally believe if Buhari had formed CPC in 2006 it will have been 10 times more successfull now. However within 1 year we can see what he has achieved. The problem with Nigerian politics is that parties dont have ideology and their ideology is only political relevance.

I would like to have an ideological movement based on clearly spelt out principles that will be imprinted in the hearts of the masses and layman. I dont really fancy using an existing structure if it goes against what i stand for as the end does not justifies the means for me. We may differ on this but then we always agree to disagree. I wish to meet you in person one day though wink

I dont know why people dont appreciate what they have untill they loose it. Who is this man called Fashola before 2007 ? Tinubu fought galantly for his nomination, this cause alot of controversies in the party but Tinubu used the maturity and resolved every thing amicably. He was the only AD governor left after 2003 election and ever sine he has been fighting for us from this wicked people called PDP. I beg stop abusing him, if we have ten people like him in the south west. Who will reckon with people like OBJ.
Tinubu is not fighting for me but fighting for his own political survival and relevance. PDP is not a structure PDP is meade up of human beings. We accuse PDP for everything like it is devils running it last time i checked Atiku a PDP VP was in ACN, Ribadu a PDP appointed guy is agin the ACN candidate, Abiye Sekibo was PDP and now ACN, Akume of Benue was PDP and now ACN, Saminu Turaki was PDP and now ACN, Demola Seriki was PDP minister and now ACN, Ibikunle Amosun was PDP senator and now ACN, most of the bad PDP guys in Osun state have now decamped to ACN.

Let us stop falling for this mugun the polticians take us to be.

Thank you. With no chance at all of winning , what is the point of the labour Party wasting its money doing this ? Fashola has an established platform already with the ACN. The PDP have tried everything to get him to defect to no avail . Folks like Fashola are the future leaders of the ACN who will be able to take the Party to the next level and in directions Tinubu's has not been able to . I really don't see how Fashola , with his current high visibility, will trade down to being a Big fish in a small pond when he can remain a big fish in a big Pond. If , and it is a big if, Fashola leaves it will be to go the PDP because his visibility is now so high that it is only the best platform that will do as per his future ambition. It is like concieving Lionel Messi ignoring Barcelona, Real Madrid , Chelsea and ManU to go and play for Leyton Orient or ICC shooting stars!!!!
All you said made perfect sense but assuming Lionel Messi is increasingly not happy with the manager and he was offered to play for leyton orient as a player coach and orient is in the premier leaugue, you never know he might consider it.

Power is intoxicating and every man likes to be a man of himself. Fashola today has become a brand , a brand that people drop his name to garner votes , if Tinubus pressure is too much i would not doubt the man decamping to Labour where he will be the main player. Also maybe he is tacitly supporting this labour house of assembly guys so as to neutralise any impeachment against him. No one knows as lots of dirty deals happen behind closed doors.

This your obsession with maligning Tinubu get as e be OOOO !!!! But for Tinubu the SW region would be controlled totally by the mindless thugs of OBJ and the PDP. Please tell us who is showing even a small iota of interest in doing what Tinubu is now doing . Other regions , now floundering due to the destructive and centrist control of the PDP , wish they had a Tinubu to protect their region and ensure , at least at the regional level, that some Nigerians experience decent leadership. PDP is just installing thugs everywhere. It is instructive that the PDP actually never wanted Ameachi to be a Governor yet he is now one of their undisputed top performers !!!! Look at all the problems Chime had recently!!!

The PDP dont want Governors who will sort the Party out and do same for the people . They want Governors who will sort the Party out with every kobo available thus leaving nothing left for the people. Wether you know it or not , Tinubu is a very neccessary evil. His clout and money is required to safegaurd the SW from becoming another region decimated by PDP mauraders who loot disgracefully but give zero in return. As the saying goes "be careful what you wish for". With Tinubu gone , I wonder if you will be happy for the PDP to totally capture the SW region , including your beloved Lagos, and install their misruling thugs everywhere. Perhaps you think real politics is played without money and influence. You may have tranfered your support to the CPC because of Buhari but , if you love the SW region and recognise the impotence of the CPC on the ground , you will understand that Tinubu should continue to remain influential for the greater good of the region.
My beef with Tinubu is simply based on principles, I am a core lagosian to the bones and I was never happy the way Funsoo Williams was cheated in 1999 , in 2003 Tinubu rubbished all the elders of AD although he was right in the end as was the only one that was able to checkmate PDP. If the other governors were successfull in 2003 they could have been doing what Tinubu is doing. PDP is evil i know but Tinubus ACN is not any better in terms of democratisation, imposition and so on.

If i had the means i will start a new political movement in the SW which will be truly progressive and not fake progressives. Fashola was doing good in Lagos and was about to be impeached by the holy ACN. I only look out for the good personalities in ACN and Tinubu does not belong IMO. How can one man put his wife, daughter, son in law, wifes sister in an alection in a state. You think about it and tell me how you feel, Tinubu is holding a rally in Mushin as we speak to beg the market woman who are about to deal ACN a big blow in protest votes.

My freind/brother, the wish of every caring father is to make sure that his children do not have to pass through the fire like him in order to have a bite to eat. Not to soften their part to life but to prepare them in a way that they will have the chance and opportunity like every other kid.

We suffered all kind of indignation, humiliation, harwork so that your generation will stand shoulder to shoulder without blinking first against anyone. So if your uncle sound like me, it might be a good idea to listen to him.

I am a father/grandfather, I remembered the first time my daughter came home with the boy that wants to marry her. As a father, I do not bring out my best vintage wine to serve the nervous prospective inlaw or even have anytime for him. In fact I ignored him, told him to make an appointment if he wants to see me, I a going out and my wife/daughter afterward regards me worse than Saddam Hussaine.

But what I was doing as a father is making sure through words and body language to the boy that my daughter is not cheap, she is a well refined gold in my eyes as a father and if he loved and wants her as a wife, he will need to work very hard and convince me/family that he means business for the long term, not something he will fancy today because he is the most beautiful girl around and discard tomorrow or seeing our family as a meal ticket.
I want to know that he is the kind of guy, when after 2-3 times of breadfeeding, that my daughetr will still make his heart jump.

I am happy to report that I got what I wanted because after 10 years they are still together, loved up, with 2 great kids and she still has a wonderful carreer as a newscaster with the Aljazeera network. Because I set the ground rules for my son inlaw on what I considered my daughter to be worth and how she should be treated.

But at the time my daughter based on her little experience of life cannot see what I foresaw and my wife too was carried away with romantic spirits swamming around or may be busy dreaming about the hat she will wear at the wedding and forget the most important thing our daughter's future .

Why am I saying this? It is the fact that APGA/Peter Obi/Ohaneze are like an irresponsible father who gave their beautiful daughter (NDIGBO) away to a boy (Jonathan) they hadly knew at the first asking. They didn't make him sweat even if they liked him, should they have placed all their card on the table?

They should have told him that there are other suitors hanging around the corner waiting for their chance, therefore show me something in concrete that if I gave you what you wanted that my daughter will not come back to me in a couple of months time asking why I didn't stop her?
Some fathers may give their daughters away at the first asking and the marriage ended up working out in the end, but that is called taking a chance, and my daughter or Igboland is too precious for her future to based or placed on chance, I want to make sure I did my best, even if it failed to work in the end, because no one can accurately foretell the future, I will beat my chest and say that I did my best under the circumstances.
Yorubas has sat down with beer in one hand and cigar on the other watching as everybody sweat for their votes, they still hold the ace because politicians are desperate and when people are desperate, they ten to give more than they would hsve wished.
Whether it workS out as they thought in future or not is never the issue, because they have done what they suppose to have done in a crooked political terrain as in Nigeria and to top it up ACN is even poised to take back Ogun/Oyo and other elective positions taken away from them by fraud.

If Peter Obi/APGA/Ohaneze has some brain without selling our people cheap to an Ijaw mn Jonathan, nothing stops APGA taking over everything in Anambra, Abia, Ebonyi, Imo and then give PDP a good fight in Enugu, Rivers and Delta.
I hope I am wrong about the future but if I continue to sound like your uncle, it shows that we care and we will hate to to see you going back to square one. Thank you
Who says experience in life is not worth gold. See words of wisdom from our father Eziachi !!

More reason i urge Nigerians to vote for an experienced capable man like Buhari who has shown honesty, integrity of charcter and sincerity of purpose.
