The origin of this holiday for the expression of love really isn't romantic at all—at least not in the traditional sense. Father Frank O'Gara of Whitefriars Street Church in Dublin, Ireland, tells the real story of the man behind the holiday—St. Valentine.
"He was a Roman Priest at a time when there was an emperor called Claudias who persecuted the church at that particular time," Father O'Gara explains. " He also had an edict that prohibited the marriage of young people. This was based on the hypothesis that unmarried soldiers fought better than married soldiers because married soldiers might be afraid of what might happen to them or their wives or families if they died."
"I think we must bear in mind that it was a very permissive society in which Valentine lived," says Father O'Gara. "Polygamy would have been much more popular than just one woman and one man living together. And yet some of them seemed to be attracted to Christian faith. But obviously the church thought that marriage was very sacred between one man and one woman for their life and that it was to be encouraged. And so it immediately presented the problem to the Christian church of what to do about this."
"The idea of encouraging them to marry within the Christian church was what Valentine was about. And he secretly married them because of the edict."
Valentine was eventually caught, imprisoned and tortured for performing marriage ceremonies against command of Emperor Claudius the second. There are legends surrounding Valentine's actions while in prison.
"One of the men who was to judge him in line with the Roman law at the time was a man called Asterius, whose daughter was blind. He was supposed to have prayed with and healed the young girl with such astonishing effect that Asterius himself became Christian as a result."
In the year 269 AD, Valentine was sentenced to a three part execution of a beating, stoning, and finally decapitation all because of his stand for Christian marriage. The story goes that the last words he wrote were in a note to Asterius' daughter. He inspired today's romantic missives by signing it, "from your Valentine."

...Every year that Valentine’s day comes around, the Muslim world erupts with ferocious rage, with its leaders doing everything in their power to suffocate the festivity that comes with the celebration of private romance. Imams around the world thunder against Valentine’s every year — and the celebration of the day itself is literally outlawed in Islamist states.

This year, for example, the Islamabad High Court in Pakistan banned the celebration of Valentine’s Day in public places, and at an official level, and prohibited all electronic and print media from covering any festivities or mentioning of the occasion. Several cities across Muslim-majority Indonesia, meanwhile, banned people from celebrating the day. In the city of Surabaya, a group of school students, which included many girls wearing the hijab, denounced Valentine’s Day. In Muslim-dominant Malaysia, the group The National Muslim Youth Association directed females not to use emoticons and perfume in a pre-Valentine’s Day message.

Last year, Pakistan also banned Valentine’s Day, calling it an “insult” to Islam and warning that “strict” action against anyone daring to celebrate the day in any part of Islamabad. In the past, Valentine’s Day activities were disrupted by Jamaat-e-Islami, Pakistan’s main religious party, but in the last two years the state and court now get involved to ban celebration of the day. Back on Valentine’s Day in Pakistan in 2013, supporters of Jamat-e-Islami took to the streets in Peshawar to vehemently denounce the Day of Love. Demonizing it as “un-Islamic,” the Muslim protestors shouted that the day had “spread immodesty in the world.” Shahzad Ahmed, the local leader of the student wing of Jamat-e-Islami, declared that the organization will not “allow” any Valentine’s Day functions, warning that if Pakistani law enforcement did not prevent Pakistanis from holding such functions, that the Jamat-e-Islami would stop them “in our own way.” Khalid Waqas Chamkani, a leader in Jamat-e-Islami, calls Valentine’s a “shameful day.”

These Islamist forces in Pakistan cannot, of course, completely succeed in preventing couples from showing love to each other on this special day, and so many Pakistanis still cryptically celebrate Valentine’s Day and exchange presents in secret.

In Iran, Saudi Arabia and Indonesia last year, and as always, Valentine’s Day was outlawed. Under the Islamic regime in Iran, for instance, any sale or promotion of Valentine’s Day related items, including the exchange of gifts, flowers and cards, is illegal. The Iranian police consistently warn retailers against the promotion of Valentine’s Day celebrations...

Valentine’s Day is a “shameful day” for the Muslim world and for the radical Left. It is shameful because private love is considered obscene, since it threatens the highest of values: the need for a totalitarian order to attract the complete and undivided attention, allegiance and veneration of every citizen. Love serves as the most lethal threat to the tyrants seeking to build Sharia and a classless utopia on earth, and so these tyrants yearn for the annihilation of every ingredient in man that smacks of anything that it means to be human....

THE head of the France’s centre-right Union of Democrats and Independents (UDI) political party, Jean-Christophe Lagarde, has claimed a PSA Peugeot Citroen car plant had to close because it had hired too many “unproductive” Muslim employees.

The hardline centrist, who is also deputy mayor of Drancy, a suburb northeast of Paris, said that the carmaker’s Aulnay plant, which closed in 2013, had been forced to shut its doors because of “problems arising from never-ending religious demands by Muslim employees”.

He said: “The Aulnay site closed because Muslim employees were constantly taking unscheduled prayer breaks and had become unproductive. It’s the truth. A Peugeot official told me that it was one – but obviously not the only – of the reasons the plant was shut down.”

Mr Lagarde added that he wasn’t trying to “irk” Muslims and spark a controversial debate about religion at work, but said he wanted to “end the Omerta”.

He said: “Some Muslim employees are proselytising at work and harassing their non-Muslim co-workers.

A Peugeot spokesperson, however, has denied Mr Lagarde’s “inflammatory” claims and said that, at the time, the automobile behemoth had been on the brink of bankruptcy and that bosses had decided to close the Aulnay plant to “cut losses”.

The word 'Okun' is not a tribe's name.

The word was coined by some people (Daniyan, Awoniyi, and co) when they wanted Yoruba people in Kogi to unite with the North against the popular interest of aligning with their kit and kin in the West.
They felt using the word Yoruba to describe indigenous Yoruba people of Kogi will further jeopardise their selfish interest of aligning Kogi Yoruba with the North. Awoniyi was the secretary to the Sultan of Sokoto then, and one major agenda of the Sultan was to further extend her control tentacles. (Remember they were already ruling Ilorin then).
According to history, some Fulani/Nupe TRIBE were appointed by the British colonial masters to be local heads of some villages and towns in present day Yoruba land in Kogi before people revolted and removed them forcefully (Research on Yagba ko ibon which means Yagba rejects ibon - ibon is what Yagba calls the Nupe).

Indigenous Yoruba people in Kogi has many dialects which are slightly different from each other but they all have a uniform way of greeting.

The uniform way of greeting is Okun, just like the uniform way of greeting in Igbomina land is Ekun.

Okun omo - greeting a child
Okun baba, Okun ope - greeting an elderly man/father
Okun momo - greeting an elderly woman/mother

This unifying word was adopted by Daniyan and Awoniyi which they greatly promoted and brainwashed people to the extent that some people in this generation ascribe their TRIBE to be Okun. Remember, the objective of the word Okun by Daniyan and Awoniyi is to separate Kogi Yorubas from their kit and kin in the West.

There was nothing like Okun before - what was obtainable was Kabba district and Oyi Local government.

Remember, no TRIBE is called Okun - Okun is just a way of greeting by the Yorubas in Kogi State.

Geographically and historically, Yoruba part of Kogi is not in the North.

The traditional leaders of Yoruba land should develop an action plan on how to correct all the colonial and northern inspired injustice against the Yorubas in Kogi and Kwara State.

A friend wrote WAEC in 2009 and used the online printout result to secure admission in 2010.

She's now in her final year and preparing for clearance.

Her school needed the original WAEC certificate to finalise her clearance. She approached her Secondary School and was shocked to discover that her certificate was not part of the ones sent by WAEC to the secondary school even though her name was on the list (waybill).

She bought scratch card to re-confirm online but was notified that the result was cancelled.

Are there instances where WAEC withdraws a previously released result or is it a database error on WAEC webpage?

How can she get the original result from WAEC?

Hundreds of air travellers booked on Nigerian Arik airline are currently stranded across the country, following the inability of the airline to airlift them to their destinations.

Since early morning today, none of the airline’s aircraft has been operated to any destinations in Nigeria, West Africa and other routes.
SaharaReporters learnt that the massive debts of the airline to major oil marketers who regularly supply aviation fuel is partially responsible for the current situation of the airline. A source told our reporters that in addition to the airline's inability to buy for fuel, its insurers in Europe and elsewhere had withdrawn insurance cover from the airline forcing the airline to stop flight operations altogether.

A source close to the oil marketers told our correspondent that the airline is a bad debtor as it currently owes at least N3 billion to all its suppliers, a situation, which has made them not to supply Jet A1 to the airline.

The sordid situation may also affect the airline’s long-haul operations to Heathrow Airport in London and New York in the United States of America.

Some of the early morning flights of Arik Air include Lagos-Abuja at 6:45 am and 7:30, Abuja-Lagos at 8:00 and 9:00. Others are Benin, Port Harcourt, Asaba, and Kano.

A passenger with the airline, Chris Amokwu told our correspondent that he had been at the airport as early as 7:00 for a 7:30 am flight to Abuja, but as at 1 pm, he was yet to know if he would eventually make the trip to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

According to him, the airline attributed its inability to operate to the scarcity of Jet A1 and poor weather condition.

But, SaharaReporters can confirm that Jet A1 is available in the local scene as airlines like Med-View, Air Peace and Landover Airways have been operating since morning despite the alleged scarcity of aviation fuel and poor weather by the airline.

When our correspondent contacted the spokesman of the airline, Ola Adebanji, he said he was not aware of the development as he was still bereaved, having lost his mother over the weekend.

Arik Air is the third airline to shut down flight operations in Nigeria in the last three weeks following the suspension of flight by Aero Contractors and First Nation.

The so-called Islamic State terror group has allegedly banned women from wearing the burka at security centers in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul despite harsh enforcement of a law requiring them to be worn, according to the UK’s Daily Mail.

Following the murders of several commanders of the terror group by veiled women, the group has purportedly banned females from entering buildings in the city while wearing the full-body covering.

Women who have not worn conservative Islamic garments that cover their bodies or eyes have been beaten or killed in Syria and Iraq by ISIS’s “morality police.” …..

It is understood that women in the rest of Mosul and all other areas controlled by ISIS will still have to abide by the veiled dress code.

Last month, after the liberation of Manbij in Syria, women were seen burning burkas in celebration.

LEAKED: Hillary’s Private Meetings With Muslim Brotherhood Officials Secretly Recorded

Hillary is in a mass panic because this hacker group has these recordings in their possession.

It has become widely known that Huma Abedin is connected directly to the Muslim Brotherhood. As it turns out, she has been secretly recording meetings with Hillary Clinton and some of the videos have been intercepted by anonymous black-hat hackers.

Julian Assange, infamous hacker and founder ofWikiLeaks, has been announcing for weeks that more leaks are coming soon. He foretells that the next leak will be enough evidence to convict Hillary Clinton of treason and it looks like he may be right.

We have been able to confirm that the substance of the leaks will be evidence of a vast conspiracy within our government. It appears that Huma Abedin secretly recorded Hillary Clinton giving names of everyone involved in this conspiracy to subvert our nation.

Huma Mahmood Abedin has worked with Clinton since 1996 where she began as an intern in the west wing. For most of the past 20 years, Huma has served as Clinton’s “body–woman”, which is basically a glorified lady’s maid. She now sits as the vice chair in Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.

In 2012, she was accused by U.S. Representative Michele Bachmann of being a mole for the Muslim Brotherhood. Bachmann then says during a live broadcast interview that the infiltration of our government is much wider than anyone expected.

“It appears that there has been deep penetration in the halls of our United States government by the Muslim Brotherhood,” Bachmann stated during a radio interview. “It appears that there are individuals who are associated with the Muslim Brotherhood who have positions, very sensitive positions, in our Department of Justice, our Department of Homeland Security, potentially even in the National Intelligence Agency.”

Hillary Clinton has often expressed her fondness of Huma. She brought Huma with her to the State Department and has referenced Huma as her“second daughter”. It is easy to imagine the sort of top-secret information Huma has been privy to while working so close to Clinton during her role as Secretary of State.

In my previous article posted on Fury News, I detail a conversation between anonymous forum users and an FBI informant. The anonymous informant hints at the deep conspiracy by saying,“The problem is with the entire government. [Hillary Clinton] is one component of that government

“There already is enough to indict,” the FBI informant claims. “this case would explode into a million other cases if fully brought to light. there has been deep penetration in the halls of our United States government by the Muslim Brotherhood.”

Since this conversation with the anonymous FBI informant, we have seen several rounds of leaked emails by Assange and a promise for more evidence of Clinton’s corruption. Confidential sources say that time is almost here. On Saturday, Wikileaks will release the leaked videos and their contents will shock everyone.

The videos were secretly recorded for the Saudi Royale by Huma Abedin and intercepted by Anonymous while she was transferring them via a well known file sharing site. The hackers confronted Huma about the videos and she agreed to give the anonymous hacker information about the Democratic National Committee from a DNC insider, if he would agree not to expose her. The insider she introduced him to was none other than Seth Rich, the DNC employee who was recently found murdered in July.

Although Clinton and her gang tried to stop Seth Rich from leaking any incriminating evidence, they were too late. Rich turned over the DNC emails that were leaked recently and the hacker immediately gave them to Wikileaks along with the intercepted videos.

The only other pieces of information that my source was able to give is that the “meetings will show treason and they will show who is involved. Hillary names names.” The source also says that this scandal is worldwide and that Angela Merkel is one of the names spoken by Hillary Clinton.

The videos are scheduled to be released on Saturday, August 6th by Wikileaks. I will be watching for them and I hope you are too. Everyone in America will want to know what our government has been involved in. However, the biggest step will be deciding how to fix the quagmire that the Clinton Mafia has woven throughout our government and the world.

The controversies involving Hillary Clinton are being disclosed on a daily basis now it seems, but this latest revelation could prove to be more devastating than her lies and unethical dealings in the past. Almost the entire time Clinton was Secretary of State, she blocked the designation of Boko Haram as a terrorist organization. Nobody could understand why, until now.
As Boko Haram began to ramp up its operation of terror in 2011-2012, Hillary Clinton continually obstructed the official terror designation of the group over the objections of Congress, the FBI, the CIA and the Justice Department. Despite hard evidence of the group’s aggressive posture in Nigeria and many supporters of the designation, Hillary Clinton simply denied that they were a terrorist organization.
Boko Haram, the Nigerian-based Islamic terrorist group that gained international notoriety when it
kidnapped 276 school girls from the town of Chibok back in April 2014. Also during that year, they are responsible for 6,644 deaths while ISIS only claimed 6,073 during the same time frame. It is hard to imagine why Hillary Clinton would refuse calling them a terrorist organization. However, a series of reports exposes that a close Clinton family confidante – and Hillary campaign bundler – profited from Nigeria’s lucrative resources. He engaged in multiple illegal deals throughout Africa.
In 2014, members of Congress discovered that Hillary Clinton gave little weight to the threat of Boko Haram in Nigeria. They also found that in 2012, Clinton had worked to kill bills designating the group as a terrorist organization in both the House and the Senate. Also in 2012, the Justice Department’s National Security Division strongly urged the State Department to designate Boko Haram a terrorist organization as reported by
Reuters . This request fell short after a group of 21 American academics wrote a letter to Clinton asking that Boko Haram to not be designated.
A powerful Nigerian with ties to Clinton is Kase Lawal. The founder of CAMAC Energy, an oil exploration and energy consortium, Lawal had a long history with Bill Clinton before becoming a
“bundler” for Hillary’s 2008 presidential bid and hosting a fundraiser in his Houston home. He is a devout Muslim who began memorizing the Quran at three-years-old while attending an Islamic school. Lawal tops the list of the wealthiest Nigerians living in North America.
In the Democratic Republic of Congo, Lawal arranged a 2011 plan to purchase 4 tons of gold from a rebel warlord, Bosco Ntaganda, who has been linked to Boko Haram. Ntaganda was on a U.S. sanctions list, meaning anyone doing business with him could face up to 20 years in prison. In an article by WORLD , Lawal contacted Clinton’s State Department to ask for help. Soon after, authorities in Congo released his plane and associates that were involved in the plot. He never faced charges in the United States and he remains a commissioner for the Port Authority of Houston.
It seems that Lawal has gained political favor by maxing out his donation limit to Hillary’s 2016 primary campaign and through his “friendship” with Clinton has stalled the appearance of Boko Haram on the US enforced terrorist lists. How many other donors does Hillary Clinton bend the rules for? How many more terrorist organizations owe their freedom to terrorize to the Democratic presidential nominee? I am sure we will see many more of these behind-the-scenes donors come to light in the months leading up to the election. However, the question remains: “Will she face prosecution for her crimes?”
