Hmm, Boro bought a bullet proof car for N55million and the National assembly members want to buy ordinary non bullet proof cars for N300 million each! Yet the NA members are shouting corruption against Boro.! Ok continu. The thing dey paine them, that their stealing is in the open! My own be say, even Boro or any government official should not be allowed to buy any frivolous car this year!. Belt tightening is for all Nigerians. |
If he comes every night he will be arrested too! Moneyhatesme: |
You all have selective amnesia. Saraki is still in APC and Murtala Nyako has not left APC, yet these guys have cases with the law and it is not being droped. Moneyhatesme: |
Why not just do the right thing on your own!. Your logic is warped!. So because others are armed robbers, you too should be one abi. So because there are mosques that makes loud calls to prayer and joints that makes noise pollution as marketing, then your church must also be at the forefront of constituting public nuisance! philip0906: |
All the current Supreme court justices were appointed by PDP governments. About 60% by GEJ alone!! and most were lobbied for by one politician or the other in line with what obtains during GEJ tenure. They are mostly interested parties when it comes to PDP. Although that in itself does not mean the current judgment is not in line with justice! But I leave that to individuals to decide. APC should let this issue be and look forward. Otherwise, these judges can frustrate all the corruption cases and nothing can be done about it! |
“When they entered, they asked for our coordinator but we resisted them. The next thing we heard was gunshot. I can’t say how many died because there was a stampede as people tried to escape.” Abeg next time, obey law enforcement agents and don't resist them, otherwise it will end in story that touch the heart! |
@sankky Those issues are thrash, dealt with in details by so many past governments and dumbed in the waste bin where it belongs. And mind you the $2.8 billion saga was not when PMB was @ the PTF but rather when he was Petroleum Minister under OBJ!. were you even born then? That money has been looked at several times and FGN never had evidence of missing money during that period. sankky: |
Falana gbo tie, tara eni laa gbo! |
Before nko!. Na now you are waking up. Proper M.U.M.U basketmouth |
@Op, there are fundamental differences between the Fulani herds men menace and the Shia issue and hence the difference in approach in the way they are handled. 1. PMB have handle these two cases exactly the same way GEJ handled them!. Don't you think there must have been a reason for that? 2. The Shia dared the government by making an organized blockade of the COAS, no Fulani herds men have got such boldness yet and hence have not willingly lend themselves to the massacre that befell the Shia! 3. Fulani herds men fights fellow citizen and not government establishment or government functionaries directly. They clash with settlers when their cattle eats the farmers crops. 4. The Fulani herdsmen have no address, just like the militants of the ND and the robbers and kidnappers of the SE and Ritualist of the SW have no address, hence no specific location to go catch them! Unlike Shia that is an organization with an address. 5. Government is using the same tactics it uses against those criminals like crude stealing militants, kidnappers, ritualists, and cattle rustlers and violent herdsmen while adopting a more frontal and direct approach for those organized lawless group as Shias. If you have the corporate headquarters address of the violent Fulani herdsmen, you should please submit same to the police and you will see that they will be dealt with same way as the Shia. |
I can see that more than 50% of them were appointed by GEJ or during GEJ tenure. Attrition rate seems very high at the APEX court! |
@OP I agree with you but we can only appeal to God on this issue! Yet I like the countenance of PMB on it so far!. He will not even interfere nor meddle with the Judiciary. Let them hang themselves! I just hope, this is not how the Supreme court will be allowing our yam eaters to go scot-free like it freed Bode George and absolve him of the offences he had served jail term for! |
The shepherd has suddenly become the sheep, eating our yam! |
Looks like the CBN and FGN policy is working! The aim is to discourage importation of those goods that are currently been made or that have substitute in Nigeria, by blocking their access to FOREX from CBN. For importers of this goods, they will be forced to source for FOREX from the Black market at the exorbitant prices and hence, their products will not be competitive against the ones made in Nigeria. example, soap, tissue paper, tooth pick, rice, etc. At the same time, CBN is encouraging Local Manufacture of other goods like cars, machinery, agricultural equipment etc. by making FOREX available for importation of their raw materials. Government is also focusing on making just enough FOREX available for other legitimate overseas business like education, business and even holiday makers. However, these have limitation so as to prevent using them as platform for diversion of FOREX for other purposes. For Students, your cards are limited to just enough for upkeep but FEES can be sourced from CBN directly (through Banks) for direct payment to the schools. |
They buy 1dollar at 200 naira and sell it to you at 270 naira. so when they sell, they make 70 naira profit. When they buy, they buy at from you assume you have dollar to sell to them. They buy from you at 250 Naira and sell to others who wants to buy at 270 naira. In this case they make only 20 naira. So, it is more profitable to them to keep buying from CBN! Sharaap dere, Achebe that stood up to greet the midget of Kaduna when he visited Kaduna state last week!. shakaZuIlu: |
We are not yet there! But we are improving in this Nation This is better than last time when the Aso Rock Clinic was getting more than the Teaching hospitals combined!!!! |
Go to your bank and collect the form to pay for School fees abroad, The bank will ask for evidence of school admission and school fees amount from you. Fill the form and the bank will submit to CBN to get the FOREX for payment directly to the school overseas. Your Naira account will be debit for the FOREX sent to the school. Dondav: |
For School fees, FOREX Is available from CBN via your bank. piagetskinner: |
come together and start car assembly. The Car assembly plants have assess to FOREX from CBN to Import Completely Knocked Down Parts (CKD) FRANKOXY: |
Good write-up. Basically the op is describing the regulations put in place to implement the policy. The policy itself is to encourage local production/manufacturing of goods and discourage importation. Encourage export of the said goods as well. This will improve value of Naira when demand for Forex is lower than supply due to Net export compared to import. CBN has actually not ban importation of any item!. It lacks the power to do that. It has only said it will not make FOREX available for importation of those items. Hence, importers of those items have to source for FOREX from parallel (black) market putting pressure on the exchange rate at the parallel market. If any importer has its FOREX, its goods will not be seized, he will only pay the duty at the ports. It is the Ministry of Finance, via the customs that can ban importation of items and importer knows the items that are banned from importations. |
Well for me, I have found out that there are more science in my religion than there are religion in Science.! It means for you guys looking at science, you will find it difficult to find (space for) religion in it. Yet, if only you could take a look at religion, you will find a lot of science in it. erusen: |
As a muslim and a scientist, I know that we are not alone in our world and infact our world is not the only world.! First Verse in the Quran says: " Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the WORLDS" This was the first affirmation that there are other worlds apart from the evident one to us for now. We scientists have not been able to find it because, it is not yet time to find them, but God almighty has granted us the ability to find it and it will be found when the time comes. We just have to be unrelenting in our efforts towards the knowledge. Allahs says in Suratul-Rahman, that, "... let man and the jinns try to go into the space if they can, but they will not be able to do it, until Allah permits" This implies that we will be able to go there sometime in the future, we just have to continue trying!. |
That is plagiarism! Clueless is the preserve of GEJ. No one else can claim that title. You must find something else to call this one ooo.... iyrojc: |
This is good for our democracy. It does not realy meant anything yet until the MDA and the perm secretary can come back with the explanations. |

Tell him to stop or else you will release it to the public. But make sure you tell him two friends from outside office are aware of this and have access to copies. Otherwise, men like that can eliminate you oo. |
