Good morning, everyone.
I have a question and would appreciate if anyone here is able to enlighten me.
I applied for Canadian VV in April 2023, PPR was in July and I got back my passport with the visa sticker in August.
I however noticed that there was a review of Eligibility update on the portal on the 9th of August(this was after the PPR though), and since then, the portal has not been updated with my Visa details(validity period of my visa).
Should I be worried?
Is this normal?
Has anyone experienced this before?

Unfortunately, the downloaded forms are not just allowing me to type on it, and I’m confused on how I can find my way around it. Please, if anyone has the current version of these forms kindly help.

The person at your company that authorized your travel should’ve written a statement explaining the following: the reason that particular training was selected out of other available trainings, why you were selected to go instead of other employees, and the reason why they selected a lower paid employee to receive such expensive training and why they chose to invest in training you. The cost of the training compared to your monthly salary is exorbitant so it sent up an instant red flag to the reviewer because even large, multi-National corporations rarely send lower paid employees to train internationally.

Hello everyone. Please I'm filling the form to renew my visit visa and my biometrics will expire in 4 years' time. I have the option to use that same biometrics and get a visa that will expire same date (4 years' time) or to re-do my biometrics and get a longer validity visa (which is my preference).
Has anyone here chosen to re-do biometrics before expiry? How long did they take to upload the biometrics? How long after submission of your application/submission of biometrics did you get the visa? I'm just trying to evaluate if choosing to re-do the biometrics before it expires is worth it (to get a longer validity visa).

Make sure your hotel reservation covers your stay....

Don't just try to take any chances, Canadian border agency at Pearson no too get joy like that.

You are spending 6days as a tourist, why having 3 days hotel reservation?.

Just booked 6days, pay for the first night, you can figure out the rest when you enter Canada.

I know you mentioned getting your PPR, congrats once again.

Please did you end up sending any mail reminder before getting it and if you did, can you share sample and frequency. I also have an active B1/B2 but no response since. My biometrics was updated on 2nd August and submission was July 20th.

Good morning house, as a first timer I have made a lot of errors doing this process myself 😭. The latest one is that my passport is with France Embassy at the moment and my Canada biometrics is 10th of October. Anyone knows how I can retrieve my passport or what to do in this situation please 🙏

Today makes it a week now I did biometric and still no update on my portal. I though biometric is supposed to update almost like immediately. I hope they will not ask me to go for another biometric

In which of the column did you attach your invitation letter and a letter stating what you and what you want to do in Canada? I also have a valid US visa. There are only 4 columns for document attachments. No columns for bank statement or other proof of fund, travel history etc. I am using the new application website

Pls mKe sure you submit every documents you have before you that can help your application, you can do continuous scanning for many document and compressed everything to 2mb this is what i did and my visa was approved,dont leave any document that you feel can help your application out,am talking from experience

Your chances are literally at the mercy of the visa officer processing your application, they are pretty inconsistent. Some in similar situation got email to explain why the previous refusal was omitted before their application is finalised, others got their application rejected outright.

You can send a compassionate webform(Nairobi&Lagos), stating that you omitted stating the refusal in error and apologize for it. And you'd like that detail to be added to your profile. If you have the email/doc of the previous rejection, upload it too.

Possible scenarios- (1)they will acknowledge your webform, add d new details and process ur application with the new details added; or (2) the application gets rejected on the merit of what you submitted& you can reapply immediately without mistakes. Be prepared for both I'd advise.

Hello. Thank you. I got through to it. Apparently, I saved log in on my phone but I have been checking on desktop since . Now, the issue is that there is no messages in my portal.

There was a time I was trying to log in and I was advises to sign up for another portal and link my previous application but it still didn't link anything.

Could this have been the portal I opened?
Is it possible to use thesame email to sign up another portal. I haven't made any application on the new one but I am still receiving messages concerning my application with the old application number of 2021. What can I do please.


You need to have accesss to your account for the old application you filled in 2021 you need it to see the information send to you,perhaps,they need information from you to complete your application process that’s why they are sending you the messages, pls act fast
