Yesterday, I was trying to help a client fix a hacked site and one of the controls I put in place was to monitor changes to files on the web server. . So I'll just explain how you can also do same (either you are on a shared-hosting or dedicated server provided it's a LINUX box).

Over time when malicious hackers hit your site, they've been known to drop a backdoor somewhere on your server. It could be the /css , /images , /admin/images, /js , /includes directories . .somewhere far hidden from you.

To check for recent file changes on your webserver, you can do this

1. If you have SSH access, fire up Putty and run this command



Make sure /home/xxxxxxxxx/public_html is the full path to your public_html,www, httpdocs directory

2. Setup a cron job

- Login to your cPanel
- Under "Advanced" submenu, you will see "Cron Jobs". Click it
- Tweak the settings to suit you (either you want alerts hourly/daily/weekly)
- There is a section for "Commands", type in
- Click "Add New Cron Jobs"


This will NOT prevent files from being changed without your knowledge. However, if a file is added or changed, you will get an email alert telling you which file was changed.

I tried both solution, find with cron and php script monitorhackdfiles-tool, but unfortunately neither work on my cheap hosting.

I think it's due to the fact that my hosting is windows based and the find command can't be executed.

For now, I found the https://monitorwebsitefilechanges.cloud/ service that essentially does the same thing, but it also works on my windows hosting. The only flaw is that it costs $2.5 per month.

Do you know other solutions, maybe free, that work for windows hosting?

Windows solution uses Powershell. Run this Powershell script for Windows https://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/scriptcenter/Powershell-FileSystemWatche-dfd7084b

It will monitor folder and can send smtp email notifications as an events trigger.

U get candidaisis when the natural balance is tipped between the lactobacili (bacteria) and candida (fungus) who live in d vagina in an uneasy harmony. If you take antibiotics u will kill most of d lactobacili and then candida will proliferate and then u will itch like mad. This is candidiasis. Failing to wipe after peeing is also a bug culprit. Pls wipe with clean tissue paper cos if pee remains on ur panties, candida is yeast and it proliferate in such moist conditions. This is why they call it toilet infection. Cos y'all ladies dont wipe after peeing.

Bacterial vaginosis is the reverse when the lactobacili is higher than candida. It can also be very annoying.

If u poop and fail to wipe properly, u will get ecoli or staph or strep b bacteria into ur kitten which can upset ur balance. Hence the so called toilet infection. So babes, no be toilet infect you. What the heck, its not even an sti. It's just poor hygiene. So you need to step up the cleanliness.

Also hormonal imbalance can mess up d vaginal environment. Especially pregnancy.

Mostly;

1.cache
2. Optimizing pictures
3. Removing scripts from the head
4. Minify your scripts and style sheets
5. Check for the best optimized .htaccess
6. Your server, make sure your server is fast
7. Your theme. Some themes are just bulky some are developed with fast loading in mind.

Use this free tool to get what is actually wrong! It might be a host of things:

1. Hosting resources - How much RAM/CPU/Network bandwidth is allocated to your web hosting (I'm sure you are just one website (worker process) amongst 1000's running on the same server(s).)
2. Programming/Rendering - How has your page been set up to fetch resources like pics, do you have databases attached?
3. Sods Law - 1 million and 1 things can be going wrong (Problem may be local to you! Someone else might have better speed!)

Those things are services automatically started when booting.....also don't turn everything off u might turn off a vital windows service....there should be a checkbox to show only non MS services....this could also help u track down viruses when you see an item that dosen't belong to a program you installed.

U can also remove programs that startup when booting from task manager (for windows 8 and above, it's not in the taskmaster of windows 7 and below....Google where they are )
