I really pity the OP, he seems a really nice guy, but the thing is this, when it comes to Nigerians, niceness is a major weakness.

On another note, many Nigerians steal government money, and lavish it on their spoilt kids to obtain foreign education, most don't even attend classes regularly and miss the point of a Western education, in Nigeria we read to pass exams with too much forced cramming, there they expect you to think and develop skills you will need, more hands on.

Yet these over entitled kids, pass out of University with grades and nothing else, and end up being "placed" in lucrative jobs by their parents at the expense of more local graduates, a cycle that must be broken by all means!!

I'm not saying no to Western education, but no to this cycle of robbing the Nigerian peoples money to improve yourself and your family ,then denying the same Nigerian people the opportunity to aspire to good jobs by reserving these same jobs for your overseas trained spoilt brats.

Please don't call web design programming, even with JavaScript or any of those fancy scripting languages. If said person is doing one of the below, they can't lack for work, especially online. Yet another ramshackle infrastructure project, most Nigerian IT projects have grossly undersized infrastructure environments for hosting, same happened with JAMB when it started, you cannot cater for millions of transactions using flimsy compute resources like having single servers that are non-load balanced, low specification servers running at 90% load all the time, single points of failures or choke points (single non-clustered database, which may also be under specification).

IT Infrastructure is like Rocket engineering to Africans for some reason!

Infrastructure hosting is not web development, so what would you have done? Write a code to generate power or new hardware during power or hardware failure!?
