I'll still say this, I'm still marveled that upon the looting and plundering of billions dollars, Nigeria still stands! The loot has always been. I will like to see OBJ administration also probed. These people chop us sha. |

This is wicked indeed. Just because some people barricaded the road, the military went about killing unarmed civilians.
The NA Killed sheikh Zakzaky's family, his followers, destroyed his possessions, his home and perhaps his source of livelihood. Even shot him, so that he would be rather useless to himself.
Destroyed where he prays etc. The NA just wrecked this man for no sane reason.
However, they are busy giving final warnings to boko haram sects.
Nigerian Army is soooooo quack, naive and ill - trained.
The NA better make sure boko haram is history by this month end. |

Education › Re: Four Productive Things You Can Invest Your Time In As An Undergraduate by laprince(m): 8:31pm On Dec 16, 2015 |
Hurlstarling: Some things when misused or wasted cannot in anyway be redeemed—non renewable and such is the four letters word, time. Though popular saying has it that time can be redeemed, this, theoritically, is not only incorrect in our experience of time but also practically incorrect; a propose of epileptic erudition. But then, since time is priceless as you would agree with me won't it be wise to make the best of it in the most important stage of education? Invest those between lectures in something productive, if not immediate in effect should be in years to come?
Outlined below is an encapsulated edit of ways you can make the best of your time without wasting as "big"a second.
1. Diary Keeping: We all have appropriated, not by coincidence but design equal amount of time; an unprecedented egilitarianism. And If there is anything productive you can use your time for at night it is keeping a Diary of your activities for each day; all encapsulated in a page. It doesn't only make things more easier and less difficult when writing your autobiography but also makes it faster when compiled since it will cover at least four years of your life.
2. Writing: Wether tutorial books, novels, short stories, poem even wise sayings could be productive when compiled and published. Those in between can be used for such purpose instead of being used for chatting away opportunities. You can write a thousand words per day. Calculate it for a year and you have got yourself a 500 pages + novel. You don't only get to be a great person after having a degree you can be before you do.
3. Tutoring: Now another thing to invest your time in is doing tutorial. O please....don't give i am not the brilliant type because guess what? If you are a dullard you won't be in that university. And perharps you are thinking, damn! i am shy, can't face a crowd of students well you don't have to face a crowd your pen can face blank pages and script down the tutorial.
4. Music: Join a progressive musical group on campus if none exist start one up. You don't really need to know how to sing you just need to spend those in between learning musical instruments that makes you indispensable. You can opt for dancing or song writing. The thing is being part of it.
Time is money, irredeemable nonetheless managable. Becoming a great person is impossible when the preciousness of time is not acknowledged. Those time you use in watching EPL and UEFA matches can be converted into something beneficial to you, your love ones and your nation. Remember, always make hay when the sun shines.

Romance › Some Ladies And Ingratitude by laprince(op): 1:50am On Dec 15, 2015*. Modified: 6:17am On Dec 15, 2015 |
A similar thread made me remember this particular story, back then as a student in higher institution.
I closed from classes one afternoon. As usual, a couple of friends and I were retuning to our rooms. Just by the school gate, some persons used to sell clothes, jewelleries and writing materials (before the school stopped them).
There was this particular Hausa man that sells watches under a mango tree. When my friends and I got to the mango tree, we decided to wait for another of our friends. So that we would walk home together, since we stayed close.
Then we noticed a girl who was bargaining the price of a wristwatch. She had just #300 (three hundred Naira), which was not enough to purchase the watch. However, she had been able to beat the price down to #800(eight hundred Naira). She was visibly in love with the watch, even though she could not afford it. She still stayed back trying to beg for a price reduction. It still did not work.
Just then, a boy came to the same vendor, picked up something and paid for it. On seeing how much the girl wanted to have the wristwatch, he gave the balance of #500 (five hundred Naira) directly to the vendor. The girl thanked him. Then he walked away. (He didn't ask for the girl's name or phone number).
Just as the girl was about paying the balance of #300(three hundred Naira) , to the vendor, two of her friends came around. They asked her where she got money to buy a watch, when she had already told them that was broke. Before our very eyes, her response was " NA ONE MUMU BOY JUST PAY PART OF THE MONEY". Her friends replied, no mind dem jor. I was so shocked and offended. But, I could not go to the boy and tell him. Else, I would be tagged a hater. All these happened while the boy was still in sight.
However, the vendor was also not pleased with the lady. So, he refused to give the lady the watch. Only on the condition that, she calls the boy back and repeated exactly what she told her friends, in presence of the boy. The lady and her friends picked up a quarrel with the vendor, and after a while, since the vendor was not yielding, they left.
My friends and I went to the vendor. Shook hands with him and appreciated him. By this time, the boy hand already gone. Although, I don't know how that money finally roosted.
That day, I rediscovered how perpetually ungrateful some ladies could be. |

Have you ever been in a bus where some preachers come so hard by saying "If you perm your hair you will go to hell,if you are a woman wearing trousers, you will go to hell,if you wear earrings, you will end up in hell,if you keep boyfriends and girlfriends.hell awaits you,if you smoke or drink alcohol, hell straight,if you..."
Some times i tend to almost voice out and tell them to preach salvation rather than confuse intending believers thereby driving them away from salvation.
Do you know that many people are in hell today because they were so uncomfortable with giving their life to Christ because they can't imagine themselves not taking alcohol? Do you know that many ladies are in hell today because they felt that it is not just possible for them to stop wearing earrings and since they have been told that earrings wearers are not believers, they simply gave up the zeal to be born again and end up in hell.
this article shall address many issues and many people will discover what exactly translate to sins and what we have as bad habits which are not sinful to GOD if done the right way.
Please if you have a contrary opinion be ar liberty to share but only with vivid quotes from the scriptures and not by mare logic.
So i ask; Is it a sin to smoke,to drink alcohol,to wear jewelries? Is it a sin to self service? for ladies to wear trousers? for women to perm their hairs, use hair attachments or draw tattoos?
I will address these one after the other but whatever i will write on,i would like you all to read this passage from the bible.
"When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God. (Galatians 5:9-21) great piece |
