I already know his view on this expose.
I've seen the views multiple times on twitter and it's literally the same thing he said.
"oh Lagos state will have to respond yadi yada"
Also the funnies one "oh this is how opposition should be played" because someone highlighted things we've suspected.

If he is getting paid from this stuff then he should own up to it.
I didn't mock his trying times, we all pass through it.
You are even more stupid than I thought thinking that you can assume to know what I'll say or not say on an issue.

What a joke.

What exactly is the thing you are doing? I see you really want to be stupid this morning and I can help you in showing the world how stupid you can be.

One will think all the wailing and shouting you are doing here for LP and Obi they are paying you to do it.

BTW.......apparently hold your Governors accountable seems only applicable to Lagos State only?

Same set of people that would ignore holding their Governors accountable and rather concentrate all energy on FG are now celebrating Doherty as next Disney hero?!

Doherty is teaching how opposition should be done, I expect Lagos State Government to come up with clarifications as soon as possible.

Kudos to Funsho Doherty. He is proving a worthy man for Lagos seat gradually.
Just finish reading the full document.

That was proper expose and diligent work from Mr Doherty.

Theres no way LASG are going to spin this, majority of the expenses in the budget are ridiculous and borderline annoying asf.

Asking the state ministry of justice to pay for his own personal legal fee is an impeachable offense. A total abuse of office.

Funsho Doherty should continue to hold them by the jugular. Full transparency and accountability is the way forward..

Kudos to Funsho Doherty.

I also experienced something similar , but not exactly the same.

I have a very close friend ( one of the very few I hold dearly ) . We were planning his wedding and in less than 2 months to the wedding day his mum died after slumping . The death took everyone by surprise and really shook him.

At a point we were contemplating shifting the wedding but eventually the family decided he should go ahead with it. In the wake to the wedding I had to dig deep into my savings to come through for him when he kept lamenting about a whole lot of things he’s yet to put in place due to the sudden death of his mum and how much he spent during the burial (which I also supported him financially for ). He even made me spend extra money by buying a new piece of suit to be his best man which I never planned before .

On the wedding eve I had to take it upon myself to foot bills for the hotel we will sleep overnight when I noticed he didn’t have any plan nor funds for it and was resigned to us sleeping in his parent’s house where a gazillion family members were sleeping over in preparation for the wedding . Within the first year of the wedding he was always complaining about his business not doing well and when I do have I raise him one or two change to sort minor issues .

Fast forward to the delivery of his first child , after announcing the arrival of the baby he told me how much he’s trying to raise to have his wife and child discharged from the private hospital . I gave him what I can knowing fully well he will still come up with some request in 8 days time which will be naming ceremony . True to character he requested for financial asssitance few days to the naming and I was suggesting that he should just do a low key one since the funds are not really there now.

On the morning of the naming I sent him what I can and later he confided in me that my cash was timely cos that was what he used to buy a bag of rice that morning immediately alert entered . I didn’t go for the naming cos it was a work day but my spouse who did , what she described was definitely not a budget naming ceremony and the pictures my guy uploaded later confirmed same .

Less than a month after naming my guy’s house rent was due and he needs to borrow money to add to his rent . He told me he had the house rent complete before the naming but he had to spend out of it for the naming since Yoruba have a saying that “ ti Igi ba wo lugi, toke e ni won man koko gbe “ i.e if a tree falls on another fallen tree, u will definitely have to lift the one on top to be able to reach the one underneath . So he had to first sort the naming before the rent payment .

I just shook my head at his scale of priorities and cautioned myself to never be foooolish by going all out for people who don’t know how to prioritize their needs . I took several steps backwards on his matter because I just don’t see myself continuing to sponsor his bad choice of order of priorities .
When my wife gave birth, I had help with settling the hospital bill. I'm forever grateful to those that came through for me.

2 days to naming ceremony, everyone was asking me what we wanted to do and I just told them we are doing a parlour naming ceremony, our Pastor will just come in the afternoon, bless the child and name her and we share snacks n drink for those around. That's our plan. Na so family members begin say "Its your first fruit, you have to do party", some even say in Yoruba culture you have to kill a goat or so. I say I've heard and ask them to contribute the money for the party among themselves. grin 24hrs later, shishi no drop from anybody. We did the naming ceremony as we wanted to do it and that was it. Even those that was expecting that after 3 month when we go do child dedication and Thanksgiving for church that we might do small thing, we no do anything. It was just me, my wife and daughter and my mother in-law that went for the dedication.

Imagine I listened to those that said we must do party and then put myself into unnecessary debt while trying to impress those that will just come for the party, chop and go back home.

If you have the means and resources then fine but in situations where you know how things are and still decided to not set your priorities right, whatever you see, you face.

Great point.

Well, they should stop disturbing Nigerians like they are trying to do anything differently. Our weak institutions constitute one half of our problem.

Before Asiwaju put that out, if he is serious and not pandering to the populace, I would hope he has set expectations of compliance on the IGP. If I have to go through 50 IGPs to get the right one that will meet my expectation, I will at this point.
I'm not sure whether it's on this thread or Chelsea thread when we had discussion about Police and it's issues, one point I pointed out is that the Police Act needs to be amended to allow for IGP to be appointed outside of the Police force. Someone who hasn't gone through the muddy ladder of the Police force. That's the only person that can bring change to the Police force.

The lower cadre officer don't even respect their Oga at the top. That's why you'll see a junior office telling you that if you like call commissioner of police, nothing will happen.

Same reason why IGP will give orders and junior officer will be flouting it brazenly yet IGP can't do anything about it. All of them are the same.

https://www.nairaland.com/7909977/tinubu-orders-withdrawal-policemen-vips

Nothing, absolutely nothing is going to come out of it. Again, weak institutions and enforcement.

Example: Illegal Check Points. I have made this suggestion before..

If police officers are caught mounting illegal check points, locate the ASP/ DSP/ SP in charge of the station where they are stationed and punish him/her severely. You can use progressive discipline like suspension, transfers, demotion and ultimately expelling the officer from the force. Enforce it to the next level of command above the ASP/DSP/SP in charge of stations in that area. By the time 3-4 DSPs lose their jobs or get demoted because of illegal check points others will sit up because you can't tell me the ASPs/DSP/SPs don't know where his officers are after they resume shift even if they are on patrol.
This is like the 3rd time we hearing this since this administration started. They should match action with words and not repeating same thing every market days.

You are still not getting the point. It's not about the percentage of accredited votes that was won. Its about the percentage of registered voters who actually came out to vote.

Ododo can win 100% of accredited votes in Okene for all I care. That's not the point I'm making. To say that 97% of registered voters came out to vote is impossible. What is the percentage of PVCs collected in Okene for starters? The figure you shared was 94% for the entire Kogi State.

How come the same thing did not happen in Muri and Dinos local government? Abi na only Ododo people sabi vote for their son?
Dino is a paperweight politician, that has been established already. He lost his LG to APC by over 4k votes.

Go and check all the Igala LG and see the margin of win of Muri over Ododo and Dino.

Election is about turnout especially in a tribal election like Kogi own, Muri Igalas are the highest tribe in the state so any other tribe that wants to defeat them must turn up in high numbers and ensure that the other tribes vote for them also.

I'm not discounting that Okene and Adavi figures could be inflated, infact I pointed it out on Saturday here that the figures coming out of those 2 LG sounds bogus, what I'm telling you is that it's very possible for a candidate to get 97% of accredited votes in an LG. There are examples that abound.

No, you will have to show at least one local government in Anambra where there was 97% turnout of registered voters.

If only 50,000 people voted in Okene and all 50,000 voted for Ododo, no wahala. Your PO 100% vote will apply here.

To say more than 97% of people who registered to vote in a particular place actually came out to vote is impossible.
Bros what I'm telling you is that it's possible for a candidate to have 97% of accredited votes in a LG especially in one where it's a son of the soil that's on the ballot.

Why is it that it's only Adavi and Okene that are strong Ebira land that he Ododo got those numbers though there might be inflation of figures.
