I can confirm to you that the cheapest school in the entire UK as far as this course is concerned is university of hull... £11,000. But unfortunately, the have closed to International till January 2023.

But here's my advice, seeking pre-CAS dep of 1k may sound good and conservative, but always bear in mind that 50% is a must for almost all UK schools at enrollment and you're still going to face it upon arrival.

So, here's the catch; seek schools with low tuition and it will be ur best bet. For instance, UCLAN tuition is £14,500 for this course, Bradford fee is £18,500 but will offer you £5,000 in scholarships.

So, explore Google, look out for low tuition, it'll be worth the while.

Why don't you check out London School of Economics and Political Science. Most of these "top ranked" schools offer full funding to deserving underrepresented students. Their admission requirements are stringent though.. LSE for example accepts only first class grads on her msc econ programs. With your grade, your target should be a free masters also check University of East Anglia, they have a special scholarship for their Economics applicants.

This exam is for NA 2020 applicants if I'm not wrong. NA 2022 hasn't started so your sister probably registered for BEA. She can still check her applicant portal

Good day everyone!

I have a friend who started learning to code in 2020 with me. We were together when we began the journey but in 2021, he went back to school and I went to service. I was lucky to have learnt coding and started getting little gigs. However, my friend on the other hand struggled to learn coding.

Now, in 2022 I am still serving and was still getting gigs but they don't really pay that much. My friend called me and explained to me how difficult it was for him to grasp the concept of web development. So, I decided to invite him over to live with me so I will guide him (he is actually undergoing his one year IT), even though I am not buoyant. He doesn't have any money which implies that I foot every bill.

It is a big burden to me and so, I am asking for an advice.

Did I do something wrong by inviting him over or should I tell him that the burden is too much so he would leave?

I don't want to make a decision that I will regret later in the future.

Please honest and genuine advice needed

Why didn't you think it through before inviting him to live with you? Well the deed is done. Tell him the burden is getting too much for you alone. At least see if he can take care of his feeding and other personal bills. After all, if he was not living with you, he'd still have those bills. There's no need to shoulder everything for him. He's a grown adult.

My dear attend your school of nursing. Its just 3 years and they're not affected by ASUU strike. Rather than wasting 2 years of your life looking after someone else's child for a "vague" promise of sponsorship.
It's even uncle not direct family member, I doubt he can sponsor you under family visa. Do find out from him the route he wants you to apply under.

FSB exam is more like ssce. Its quite easy cause its the same for all applicants irrespective of course. Just your basic current affairs, Maths, English and general knowledge/business. Its definitely not gmat or shl.

Your wife has the typical Nigerian entitlement mentality and methinks her family members are encouraging her. As someone pointed out, she's probably the spokesperson. What is happening here is typical "I have a son/daughter in the abroad that should be sending pounds and dollars every month so I can live the good life and show people that we have arrived". She's probably still seeing the UK through Rose colored lens.

As a new arrival, you have no business sending money home till you find your feet and you even said you're paying off debts due to the move. Sometimes when people talk about changing numbers and limiting contact with "home" people, we shouldn't judge them. Na dem sabi as de shoe take de pinch.

Your wife isn't working but she wants her mom to be placed on monthly salary on your own account. She feels justified because you apparently "have the funds to bring your own mom to UK" so why should hers be left out? If she does nothing, her own mom would probably say bad things and poison her mind... or not. There are mothers like that.

What you should do is to sit her down. Show her the estimated child care costs, living costs, visa costs etc. Then invite her to bring suggestions on how the two of you can raise funds for these costs or at the very least what you both can do to reduce some of these costs. Let her understand that life is hard o. If possible, put your income and expenditure on a spreadsheet. There will be time for showing off later when you both must have found your feet. Let her understand that her loyalty and yours first and foremost is to your immediate family. That is, your spouse and children. Not your mother, not your brother, not your sister. Same with her. Let her understand that it's not a competition whose mom will come to the UK first. Your 5 year old can start school so you just have to figure out childcare costs for the 3 year old. This too shall pass. Remove all thoughts of separation and divorce from your mind. The real victims are your children. You wouldn't like to subject them to custody battles and the rest of that.

I'm still a student in Nigeria though so I can't really relate to the challenges of moving. In all, let love guide you. You married her for a reason. Remember that.

Thank you. I'm not being negative here, but I doubt if my result this semester will be up to the recommended one. Having first class is more like self fulfillment. I'm not after it because of success because I've seen where even those who graduated with poor grades became more successful in life. Neither am I pursuing it because of job cos this country is a joy and motivation killer. I'm only pursuing it because it's one of the many things that will make me self fulfilled.

That's the spirit! I highly doubt just one semester's result can demolish your cgpa like that tho

This mentality is just wrong have more faith in yourself.
You need a minimum of around 4.9 in the remaining 4 semesters (including the past 3.1 you're yet to get results for) to get a first. In other words, one B per semester
Always target 5.0 each semester. There's no harm in trying. Good luck
Even if you don't get it, at least you'd know you tried your best at the time and you'd end up with a high 2.1 it's a win either way

Is 300l 1st semester gp included in the 4.0? If yes, it might not be possible. If no, you'd need all A's subsequently to land at 4.5 dot.
This is just based on the info provided as I don't know the credit loads you've done so far and the ones you're yet to do. For a 160 credit load duration (100 to 400l), you'd need at least 720 points to get a 4.5 cgpa.
