Please I have issues with my Wes verification. My institution has sent my transcript to Wes for over two months and on Wes portal it states on hold.

Do confirm from your school if the transcript was actually sent and if yes, Reach out to wes. There should be a contact email or number on their site

Check your school's website. I don't know for all schools but I know some unis have alumni/transcript web pages where everything is stated.

My dear forget it. Finance is more marketable in the market today compared to economics. Econs is only good on the classroom because of the way is overated but if you come to the labour market finance has more chances of securing a job than econs.

I disagree. Economics opens more doors for you than Finance. With an econ bsc you can further your studies in finance programs but you can't do most econ programs with a finance bsc. Also the mathematical aspect of econ is more than that of finance.. Economics is vast. One can even say it's the mother of finance

For jobs, most require a finance related degree. From bus admin, banking and finance, accountancy, econ etc. Although both are very nice lucrative courses.

Nigeria is Middle Income developing Nation.

Benin is a low income least developed nation.

Federal Republic of Nigeria > Benin Republic(French puppet state).

Benin republic has a slightly higher hdi than Nigeria

I can't remember. I wasn't shortlisted but some people from my school got emails... either August or September I'm not sure.. and I've left the group chat so I can't search for it.

The test was ok, only that I was given financial related questions despite the fact that it is not related to my field of study. You have from now till 30th to attempt the questions, do it at your convenience. You have to be fast 30minute for numbers of questions that I don't know because I didn't not finish, but you have to submit before the time runs out, otherwise your answers will not be recorded.

Financial.... so there weren't plenty maths questions? Like geometry questions area and co

Please tell us how the test was after taking yours. For future references so next year's set can just come here and read about it instead of asking again.

Gregmat was really helpful for Verbal. Also tried to study and memorize some GRE word lists I found online. [Full Disclosure - I took the SAT earlier in my life so I have some experience with these sorts of questions].
Didn't really study for Quant. Just did the practice test the night before. I'm an Engineering graduate so the Quant section was relatively easy for me.

Wrote the actual GRE on Friday.
Unofficial scores were 165 - Verbal and 168 - Quant.
The key thing to note, I think, is that the questions on my actual GRE were significantly more difficult than the questions on the practice test I took (which was also from ETS, by the way).

Taking the GRE was a bit of an emergency for me as I realized pretty late that I would need it for a scholarship I wanted to apply for. I could only spare 16 hours from work to prepare (essentially taking two days off - the day before the test and the actual test day). Definitely wouldn't recommend this for anyone else.

My advice:
Prepare better than you think you need to. Don't get comfortable because you're getting your desired score on the practice test(s). It's possible for your actual test to be a lot more difficult. In my case, I was really going for 335+ and it seems I fell short by 2 points.
