Why is it that Joe Yorubakwe does not seem to understand that Igbos and Yorubas are different people? They don't have much in common
As an Igbo man, I don't see what I can learn from a Yoruba man.

ofai: Mugu, whose reign is more enduring and encompasses the norms and values of the people? Deposing traditional leaders is not common thing. But political officers leave office and guess what? Its common.
Out of 3 you mentioned, compared it with hundreds of traditional rulers whose reign has been enduring. Stop shifting the goal post. You clearly stated earlier, that first class Obas were more important than political office holders. I debunked your claim to show you how much power, political office holders wield over traditional monarchs. You later claimed that "a traditional rulers influence is more enduring than that of a political office holder. GOVERNMENT 101. who is more influential overtime between emir of kano and kano governor?" I cited various examples to show you that a traditional ruler's influence, can be checkmated by a political office holder, as such traditional rulers can be deposed, dethroned or downgraded by the political office holders. Now you are trying to change the narrative, by asking "whose reign is more enduring?" And claiming that hundreds of traditional rulers have enduring reigns? When are you going to stop running from pillar to post? And when are you going to stop being clueless? |

None of your lineage is near nwosus bravery before and during the election. He stood his ground despite the annulment of the election by IBB. ofai: I know how you manifest your hatred. Sometimes with brash, sometimes with finesse. Anyhow, I will still expose you. Nwosu did NOT manifest any bravery. Stop trying to rewrite history. He manifested cowardice, by declining to release the result of the 1993 presidential election. No matter how much you rant, you can not undo Nwosu's failure to announce the winner of that presidential election. He did not stand any grounds. He disappeared from public view in 1993, only to re-surface in 2008, when he wanted to launch a book. Stop exposing your aversion for the truth, because of the hatred in your soul! |

who is more influential overtime between emir of kano and kano governor? Lagos governor or oba of Lagos? Ooni of ife and osun state governor?
You are indeed sense-starved. Go back to school. Take another refresher course in Politics 101. As long as there is another incumbent willing to step into the traditional ruler's shoes, an existing monarch can be downgraded, dethroned or deposed by the political office holder. You were probably not born when the late Sultan Ibrahim Dasuki the 18th Sultan of Sokoto, was deposed in 1996 during the military government of Sani Abacha. Or maybe you were in Mars when the former Deji of Akure Kingdom, Oluwadare Adepoju Adesina was deposed by the former governor of Ondo State Olusegun Mimiko in 2013. Emir of Kano the late Muhammadu Sanusi 1, was dethroned in 1963 by the late Sir Kashim Ibrahim, Governor of Northern Region after a probe conducted by the late Sir Ahmadu Bello, the Sardauna of Sokoto who was the Premier of Northern Region. Educate yourself, please! |

ofai: I think your brain is leaking. How does the delta mornarchs walking out on a vice president correlate to chiefs honoring an oba, a traditional ruler?
Cowards make the loudest noise. Enjoy yourself. The Delta monarchs disagreed with the treatment meted out to them by a whole Vice-President of the nation, (not an ordinary Oba), so they staged a walk out. The VP and his aides had to beg them to come back. Compare that with an Oba speaking in his palace, against members of an ethnic group resident in his state, and yet the representatives of that ethnic group known as the Eze Nd'Igbos clapped for him, and agreed to his demands, instead of expressing their displeasure at his choice of words. Can you spot the difference, now? Delta Traditional Rulers Walk Out On Vice President Osibanjo, Accuse Him Of Treating Them Shabbily Delta State traditional rulers, on Monday, walked out on Vice President Yemi Osibanjo, who was on one-day fact-finding visit to the state. The walk-out, which involved traditional rulers from Isoko, Urhobo and Ndokwa areas of the state, was in protest against their perceived treatment as second-rate monarchs by the Vice President.
On arrival at Osubi Airport, Warri, the Vice President was welcomed by Delta State governor, Mr. Ifeanyi Okowa, and top officials of his administration. He then headed to Gbaramatu in Warri West Local Government Area, hometown of wanted militant, Mr. Government Ekpemupolo aka "Tompolo", to pay homage to the traditional ruler, HRM Oboro-Gbaraun II, Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom, and the Olu of Warri, HRM Ogiame Ikenwoli.
The visit to the monarchs delayed the Vice President’s arrival for a stakeholders’ meeting with monarchs of Isoko, Urhobo and Ndokwa areas, who had waited for seven hours at the Petroleum Training Institute Conference Hall in Effurun.
Running out of patience after waiting from 9am till about 5pm, the traditional rulers started protesting the perceived denigration of their stools by the Vice President. The protest then took the form of a walk-out, forcing Delta State government officials to plead with them to to return to the hall. They complained loudly that they had been treated as second-class monarchs. Just as the decibel of their complaint was rising, Vice President Osinbajo arrived the meeting venue in the company of Mr. Okowa who, fearing the potential for embarrassment, advised the Vice President to remain in the car.
Mr. Okowa then went in to speak with the irate monarchs, and got them to return to their seats.
"We were ready for the Vice President. How could he have left us to pay homage to a few traditional rulers in the state. The Oredje of Okpe kingdom left and never returned because it considered the situation an insult to his stool,” the traditional ruler told SaharaReporters. http://saharareporters.com/2017/01/17/delta-traditional-rulers-walk-out-vice-president-osibanjo-accuse-him-treating-them |

IGBO GET CULTURE, WE ARE NOT YORUBAS.
OUR ELDERS ARE NOT AREA BOYZ AND AGBERO. No, we understand what you are trying to say....the Eze Nd'Igbos had no choice, but to behave like the cowards they truly are. Igbo leaders applauded Oba of Lagos as he delivered anti-Igbo speech by Ben Ezeamalu | April 7, 2015 |
While the Oba of Lagos, Rilwanu Akiolu, delivered apparently anti-Igbo remarks Sunday, sparking fierce nationwide backlash, Igbo leaders who were part of Mr. Akiolu’s audience, helped prod him on, joining other listeners in applauding the monarch as he spoke, audio and video recordings of the event show.
Mr. Akiolu had told a gathering which had the Eze Ndi-Igbos (Igbo traditional rulers) of all the local government areas in Lagos State that they should cast their votes for his chosen governorship candidate or “perish inside the lagoon”.....
The audience, including the Igbo chiefs, applauded. Gordion Ojiako, the spokesperson of the Eze Ndi Igbos in Lagos, promised Mr. Akiolu that they would vote massively for the APC during Saturday’s gubernatorial election.
“Kabiyesi, we are promising you. Why we came all of us is for you to see our faces. If we say we don’t want (on) Saturday…we can’t come here,” Mr. Ojiako, the Eze Ndi Igbo in Amuwo Oriade, said.
The Igbo leader asked his colleagues, “By Saturday, all of us are going to vote whooooo?” They chorused, “Ambode!”
“Ehen! And we tried. Even when we were trying for the national… Kabiyesi you can see this paper, this is the rally we did. This is the rally we did, commissioner can testify.
“So we are telling you that coming Saturday we are going to show you the way it used to be.
“And why we’ve come here today sir, Kabiyesi, is to come and congratulate and thank you for being our father in Lagos. We don’t need to talk much because after Saturday, Sunday we come for party before you do handover.”
The Igbo leaders then broke into a victory song, “Winner oooo winner oooo…”
The Oba joked that Mr. Ojiako should come to Sunday’s victory party with his “young daughter”.
There was more laughter in the room. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/180738-igbo-leaders-applauded-oba-of-lagos-as-he-delivered-anti-igbo-speech.html |

Well, you might have a point there....after all, what other name can one call them, when they signified their support of the Oba's speech, which ridiculed their people? Only cowards and hypocrites like them would first honour the king by clapping for him in his palace, only to try and rubbish him later.
