Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), with the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), to construct a 50 kilometer road to link Ondo State with Lagos. The road is expected to connect Araromi seaside in Ilaje Local Government of Ondo State with *Akodo in Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area of Lagos state.*

This is laudable and remarkable, because in less than 100 days of the of his administration in the State, the Governor can attract such a monumental project to the state." 

The first and only MoU ever signed by NDDC with any state government within it's mandate area (the Niger-Delta region). The people of Ilaje and the Niger-Delta areas of the state have rolled out drums to thank Arakunrin Akeredolu and NDDC for this laudable stride. This 50 km road is expected to be completed within two and a half years.

"Once this project is completed, the people in area and it's environs can now travel to Lagos by road in less than an hour, as against the usual 4 - 5 hours spent through other roads to Lagos. The Party therefore assured the people of the State to expect more of such laudable projects during the lifetime of the present Akeredolu's government in the State, the statement reads.The construction of the age-long neglected 50 kilometers road from Akodo in Ibeju Lekki area of Lagos State to Araromi in Ilaje local government area of Ondo State will no doubt boast integrated economic development in Ibeju Lekki and Ondo State.

There is actually no baby daddy issues as he is based in SA and as far as I know they aren't in good terms. Recently she said her sister told her to move to SA to look after her business(question mark). I really don't know what is going on backstage but I have fears she is hiding a lot and when I ask she gets defensive aggressively.

The meeting has been put on hold for now. I actually followed some advice I was given here and yesterday my wife came into my room to apologize for everything, she admitted it was all her fault and asked for forgiveness.

It seemed unreal but she called her parents right in my presence and asked them to stop interfering in our business.

Some neighbors pleaded for her, now I can only hope she has learnt her lesson.

I don't think she's a bad person it's just that she's too attached to her parents.

And don't over-dramatise the president's statement. If you are well educated and can comprehend well, you can easily tell that the Journalists played up the headline to raise controversy.

Challenges of Biafra Propaganda

The Biafran media commissioned drama, and sketches in praise of Biafra, and edification of Ojukwu. Nigeria on the other hand was portrayed in a predictably bad light, and Gowon was caricatured.

Biafran Propaganda was bedeviled with some challenges. These challenges include among others its inability to disperse simultaneous information. However it must be pointed out here that two wars were fought in Nigeria during this period. The first was by the military, which eventually the Federal side won.

The second was a war of propaganda conducted in the media, and there is no doubt that the Biafrans won. The Easterners dominated the Nigerian media and they were fully conscious of the need for publicity to attract outside support. The watershed for Biafran propaganda, was the discovery that starvation was a powerful and exploitable propaganda weapon.

Having used genocide, pogrom, religious and ethnic extermination, economic and political domination and subjugation, with limited successes, starvation struck a chord with the world’s conscience. Biafra without weapons could not win a military war, however what Biafrans could not achieve with her feeble military and economic power, she used propaganda to achieve it.

It is important to stress that Biafran propaganda was not carried out only on the media. Biafra invested heavily in foreign emissaries to spread the news, convince the people, raise funds, and lobby members of foreign National Assemblies.

The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) on Monday, sealed off two the premises of three companies in Lagos for failure to pay taxes.

The FIRS Enforcement team, led by the Assistant Manager (Legal), FIRS, Ruth Mandeun, sealed Giandan Nigeria Limited, situated at 21 Ladoke Akintola Street, Ikeja GRA, over tax debts totaling N47.779 million.

The agency also sealed Justeen International Limited over a debt of N24.779 million.

Speaking after the exercise, Mandeun said the defaulting companies will be re-opened only after they have cleared their arrears.

“It is quite upsetting for us to close down companies, but we just have to perform our lawful mandate.

“The two companies that were closed down today clearly defaulted in paying their taxes and they are fully aware of the repercussions.

“They will get to be reopened, but that is after they have cleared up their debts”, Mandeun said.

She added that the FIRS is committed to ensuring that all individuals and corporate entities pay their taxes promptly.

Health of Parents
Age of parents
Employment status of Parents

Many people become single parents for hundreds of reasons, but there is no such thing as a perfect marriage, and some marriages are so toxic that being single is better.

Many children are sexually molested by their parents who are married, and many more defective children are raised by married people.

In Portugaal over 70% of marriages end in divorce are they a nation of "defective children".

Very likely many are raised in "married" households in Afghanistan, Zamfara State and Somalia. Do they have better outcomes?

After World War 2 and indeed many if not most wars, many children are raised by single parents. In post WW II Japan , Europe even after our own Biafra did that predict "bad" outcomes??

There are so many factors that affect outcomes. Even in the same family of 5 kids raised by married parents you could have a doctor lawyer and a drug dealer

The truth is that there are so many factors affecting outcome that are external or environmental and there are some that are intrinsic or personal .

It is dishonest to pretend that one factor e.g being raised by married parents is more important than other factors e.g

1. Neighbourhood ( social class of neighbours)
2. Poverty e.g
3. Proximity to crime e.g drugs,gangs, violence, sexual precocity, childhood pregnacy
4. Quality of education
5. Health e.g Parents with mental health or or issues that impair parenting effectiveness
6 .Educational status of parents
7. "PARENTING" is another factor on this list and can be defined in a variety of formats as caregiving which may be given effectively by persons who are not necessarily blood relatives or by a range of arrangements across cultures around the world and traditionally for Africans has been communal in contrast to the European model of monogamous nuclear family units.

Many of our middle class married families have their children raised effectively by schools and housegirls.
