profosa: My guy they most likely deducted withholding tax.but paid over your VAT except it is a government agency or major oil company it would also deduct VAT.your withholding tax rate is 10% for a limited liability company or 5% if an individual or enterprise because your service is professional in nature.
Please your tax issue does not end there, you need to follow up with the company that withheld to give you an evidence of payment that you would now submit to clear your annual income tax liability whether as an induvidual or company.if the payment is not enough you pay the rest via cash Wrong, sir. Withholding Tax varies from 5% to 10%, depending on the nature of the goods or services being supplied by a company. Consultancy services are subjected to 10% WHT, while Withholding tax rate for construction-related payments, is subject to 5%, and Dividends, Interest, Rent etc are 10% WHT, for example. Kindly go and check. |

afroniger: See this Shaki wey think say e be Beef and feeling funky with himself. I put it to you that you are a hypocrite and a big one at that. Go and tell her constituents that she hasn't made apperciable contribution as committee chairperson at the senate since they sent her to the senate to chair those committees, and when you are done explain to them how her presence on the committees have affected their lives at Lagos Central senatorial district. She was sent to the senate to represent the interests of her constituency, not to oversee committees (which are political appointments at the prerogative of the senate leadership). And also tell her constituents not to reelect her because in your judgement she hasn't achieved anything in those committees. Hehehe.... I beg make I laugh very well first, in my native dialect. Are the words 'hypocrite' or 'beef' part of your baptismal names? Dis Remi Tinubu matter just dey pepper your body anyhow. The amount of rants and insults you have dished out on behalf of the Senator, is mind-boggling. Come, does she pay you extra for every rude remark you dish out in her defence? Tell the truth and let the devil be ashamed, o! How do you even know that I am not one of her constituents? Is she a demi-god whose performance cannot be queried? Listen, stop beating around the bush and provide sensible, verifiable, factual answers to my previous questions. You really need to earn your pay, this time around so that the Senator can put 'jara on top of what she releases to you, every month. Oya, listen well: 1). What achievements exactly has Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Chairman, Senate Committee on Environment recorded, with regard to the environment? What impact has she made? 2). As Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Employment, Labour and Productivity. What did she achieve, in that role? Like I told you before, you can either phone a friend, or ask the audience. The countdown starts now..... |

I already made you look stuupid based on your own inconsistent ramblings. First you don't know her from nowhere, then she hasn't done anything for nobody, then you're asking me why I didn't put forward the links of some of her empowerment schemes to constituents and successful bill she marshalled in the senate much earlier. And to crown it all, I am supposedly on her payroll just because I exposed your hypocrisy, ehn no problem, on whose payroll are you? If I must be on her payroll for busting your hypocrisy, then you must also be on somebody's payroll for trying so freaking hard to defame her. So on whose payroll are you? Dis matter just dey pain you anyhow, o! Take am easy, ehn, make you no kill yahself on top Remi Tinubu matter. Now, after you have finished ranting and raving, please answer my questions. They are very simple. Attach the relevant links to your responses. If you need help to get any additional info, you can either phone a friend, or ask the audience. There was nothing defamatory in my posts on the Senator. As a bonafide registered voter in Lagos state, I merely asked questions about her performance. 1). What achievements exactly has Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Chairman, Senate Committee on Environment recorded, with regard to the environment? What impact has she made? 2). DollarAngel: Our roads are congested with cars, it's either the ferry below or nothing. Most Ikorodu people don't have cars For these kind of ferries to work, there has to be regular and constant dredging of the waterways, to enable those ferries run smoothly without breaking down. After dredging, they should just put these sort of ferries to work along the Apapa to Mile-2 axis down to Badagry axis. The owners would make money! |

afroniger: Stfu jo. You are such a hypocrite. And who are your own paymasters? Those opposing her and eyeing her sit I guess , since you claim I am on her payroll for exposing your hypocrisy. It's not my fault that you exposed your own bias by deliberately presenting a one-sided and negative impression of her representation in both the senate and her constituency. What hypocrisy? Everyone can see that the hypocrisy you mentioned, is actually reeking from your own keyboard. I asked a simple question about Senator Oluremi Tinubu, in my previous post. Instead of providing a cogent reasonable response, you decided to embark on a whirlwind of wild accusations and unfounded allegations, laced with insults. When your allegations were rebuffed, you came back with a long list of links showing various donations she had made to her constituency, and trying to wave it around, as a proof of her impact. Then you went further to blame the rest of us who raised questions about her performance in the Senate, for not doing enough to sift information from the media, in order to highlight her output. Wait first, is that my job? As if that is not enough, you are now making another round of baseless accusations that I am eyeing her seat. Which seat? Did anyone tell you that I am a politician? The way you are ranting and raving over this issue, shows that Remi Tinubu has you firmly on her payroll. If you were merely a member of her constituency, or an objective bystander, or a mere resident of Lagos state, you would not have been raising fire and brimstone over the questions raised about Remi Tinubu's performance. Now, go back to my initial post. You have only provided links showing donations she made to members of her constituency. When are you going to provide info on what achievements exactly Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Chairman, Senate Committee on Environment has recorded, with regard to the environment? What impact has she made? She was also Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Employment, Labour and Productivity. What did she achieve, in that role? If you like, toss out more insults. Nobody cares. Being an effective Senator goes beyond donating money to members of your constituency. |

You admitted to 'knowing nothing about the woman', yet you were brazen when you said 'she has not rendered anything to anybody'. In the same breathe you are aware that she atleast raised some bills that were not successful in the Senate. Lagos waterways… A hidden treasure untapped | 07 October 2016 |
For a maritime operator, Captain Ishola Adewale, to ensure a better appreciation of water transport in the state, there should be adequate publicity on the advantages of water transport over other modes of transport, including its availability, safety, comfort and quick delivery time. He also insisted on dredging of the waterways for better navigation.
He said, “The issue of the waterways being dredged to make it navigable, is important. The state also needs to ensure that there are jetties on the routes and create awareness to encouraging people to use water transport; to let people know that they can save a lot of time, using the waterways than using road with the hectic traffic jams”.
He continued, “There should be a Public Private Partnership (PPP) arrangement that will enable government to provide conducive environment for operators, to take full advantage of the opportunities. For instance, government can bring in good and efficient boats, then allow the private sectors to run them. I think that would be a good way forward”.
He also suggested the provision of navigation buoys along dredged routes to make navigation better. This, he said, would allow the captains to know the deep and shallow ends on the routes, adding, “They need to mark the channels so that people will know where to pass.”
On the water surface are waste products, floating and moving in different directions. The operators say such waste objects could get hooked to the engine of the boat, and create untoward consequences including damaging the engine.
Majority of those who operate the canoes and fibre boats are young people, who also live in the small island communities, that dot the Liverpool and Ojo areas of Lagos.
According to one of the operators, the business is not bad in spite of the challenges. On the average, he takes home N6,000 and N10,000 a day depending on the level of patronage. He also said that though fibre boats run faster compared to wooden boats, most of the local operators prefer the wooden boats because they are more durable. He says wooden boats suffer less damage when they hit any hard object.
The Managing Director of Holywabab Nigeria Enterprises, Mr. Kudus Idris, whose company is into building of fibre boats, stated that he charges between N280,000 and N300,000 to construct a 15-seater fibre boat, which takes two weeks to finish.
Repair and servicing of boat engines are other aspects of waterways economy. This is besides those who engage in fishing. One of the elders of Nanti Village, Chief Esau Aduralokun said fishing business is, however, dying out, as only the elder members of the communities along that stretch of the lagoon engage in it. The young ones, he said, are not interested in fishing any more, preferring instead in search of white-collar jobs.
However, if you want to experience the pounding surf of the Lagos Lagoon, you only need to open your window, if you are in the waterfronts of Ikoyi or Victoria Island, and see members of the boat club.
According to Abayomi Sonuga, owner of Bras Motors, there are many like him who are not able to live their dream and fulfill their aspiration, because they are discouraged by the lack of mooring opportunities — where to park their boats.
“The few boat clubs in Lagos — Apapa Boat Club, Lagos Auto Boat Club and Civic Centre Boat Club — the problem, which members face is lack of after sales service, availability of spare parts and engineers. They also don’t enjoy that full complement of owning boats, because our waterways are dirty, so, the boats suffer a lot of over heating, and most of the time, they are down,” he said.
The Lagos-born investor revealed that what should be a pleasure ride very often results in agony driving round Lagos, largely due to traffic gridlock. “We need to encourage people who are investing in our marine transport. Recently, government placed a 70 per cent duty on boat and marine related import. Marine transportation is key to unlocking our potentials even in other sectors, and to reduce the losses.
What is happening in Apapa is very instructive, with the total lockdown that is reported there, for some time now. The Lagos State government should build jetties.
If I’m coming from VGC to the Marina or Apapa, I do not need to go on the road. You can get to Oworonshoki in 10 minutes from the Island. It takes 15 minutes to get to Ikorodu. You can get to Port Harcourt in seven hours of luxury cruising. If we have passenger boats that can take between 100 and 200 persons to these destinations, that would be very good. Every year, the Lagos state government stages a regatta to complement the aquatic environment of the state; it should not stop there. Investors in water transport will provide more employment,” he quipped. https://guardian.ng/features/weekend/lagos-waterways-a-hidden-treasureuntapped/ |

equalgarden: Why can't let individual have a license to operate a ferry and give them term and safety rule Private companies have been given licenses to run ferries. But what usually happens, is that govt does not fulfil its own part of the deal, that would let the ferries run properly and efficiently, on a continuous basis. When it is time to dredge the waterways, govt starts to give excuses instead of carrying out the channelisation and dredging in a timely, effective and efficient manner. This makes it difficult for the ferries to navigate the waterways properly, and carry out their operations. Instead of implementing safety procedures on a daily, continuous basis, and bringing those who breach it to book, govt officials turn a blind eye, demand money from the operators, pocket it only to turn round to then start threatening fire and brimstone when a boat capsizes, and lives are lost. Instead of renovating the jetties and terminals, many of them are abandoned and left to rot, with the excuse that govt has no money. Oga, the list is endless... |

three: Lagos needs proper ferries that can transport hundreds of cars and hundreds of people at once.
But LASG will not because - who will pay toll gate? Bros, in fact it is just as if you read my mind. I still cannot understand why we cannot have an efficient ferry service linking different parts of Lagos, with regular scheduled trips and predictable timing. There used to be a very efficient ferry service between Mile 2 and Marina in the old days. Within 20 minutes, you were in Lagos Island. Many residents of Festac, Amuwo Odofin, Alaba etc used to make it their primary mode of transport in those days. The passengers would enjoy fresh air and zero traffic all the way, once they got on to the ferry. Today, the Mile 2 ferry terminal is a shadow of itself, with abandoned and disused boats littering the yard. And the Orile-Mile 2 traffic keeps getting worse by the day. The kind of ferries you attached to your post, is exactly what Lagos state and Ogun state needs, to reduce traffic congestion on the roads, so that more people can take to the waterways. In Lagos, one should be able to get a boat from Falomo to Badore in Ajah, with a stopover at Lekki Phase 1, and VGC Ikota, if things were running properly. It would reduce traffic on Ozumba Mbadiwe Avenue and Lekki-Epe Expressway tremendously. But the state govt has refused to look in that direction. I guess their toll gates would stop making money, the day this ferry route is opened up. There are a few existing ferry routes within Lagos run by boats that ply Marina/Ebute-Ero to Ikorodu, Marina to Apapa, Ebute-Ero to Falomo, Ijede to Badore, Apapa to Ipakodo etc. But there is an urgent need to open up more routes, and put several more boats/ferries that run a regular schedule at the disposal of passengers, dredge the waterways, and also ensure better standards of safety on the waterways. One of the Oworonsoki jetties inside that district, has been closed for years. Why? All that needs to be done is to renovate it and open it up to the public. But instead of doing that, Ambode is sand-filling another part of Oworonsoki at the end of 3rd mainland bridge, in a bid to build a world class terminal. why can't he fix the old one and open it up for use? |

afroniger: You and the Op are doing a very poor job at justifying your personal dislike for this woman because out of all the lawmakers representing Lagos you just had to pick on Oluremi Tinubu. And i think most forumers can see through this. When will you guys beam your searchlights on the activities and performances of the other Lagos representatives so that people can objectively appraise her compared to the others representing the state? First the Op accused her of not being an indigene, as if she's the only non-indigene representing Lagos, then you said she raised bills that failed to pass, as if it is her fault that she didn't succeed in getting the bills she raised to pass. What about the ones repping the state without even a raising a single bill?? At least she was bold enough to defend how she spends her share of the perks in question, while her peers are too timid to even acknowlege that they receive such amounts let alone justify their spending. How is that a crime? Just come out and admit that this woman's major crime is that she is affiliated to Bola Tinubu and drop this silliness. The Op is just a shameless coward who prefers to attack Tinubu by proxy. If he is serious about his crusade he should attack the system that pays the lawmakers such high perks rather than selectively attack a particular lawmaker as a pretext. I do not have any personal dislike for the woman. I know nothing about her, beyond what I have read in the press. So is it a crime to say she has not performed, when evidence of her performance is not available for scrutiny? And what law says I must compare her performance, to those of other senators from Lagos? Is it supposed to be a comparative analysis exercise? Is there any rule that says you cannot assess an individual's performance solely on its' own, but you must compare it with another person's action or inaction? That kind of reasoning is shallow, Oga.I have not attacked her in any way, in my previous post. All I did was to raise questions, about her performance. What exactly has Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Chairman, Senate Committee on Environment done with regard to the environment? What impact has she made? If you have any answers to those questions, then provide it instead of making wild allegations. There was no mention of her husband Bola Tinubu in my post, so where you got your unfounded claims that my comments were to "attack Tinubu by proxy," or that her "major crime is that she is affiliated to Bola Tinubu," really beggars belief. Must you ascribe things that do not exist, to my remarks? Must you clutch at straws of illogicality & stuvpidity, because you want to make an unreasonable point? As a duly registered voter in Lagos State of Nigeria, I have a right to ask questions about the performance of any elected official. Until you can point out any section of the constitution that deprives me of this right, or the law that shields Oluremi Tinubu from such scrutiny, I must request that you get off my mentions, and take your half-baked wild allegations with you. If my comments offend you so much, please feel free to hug the nearest transformer. Tell your paymasters, that you were unable to concoct enough tales, to defend them successfully online. Next! |

So how does one assess her performance? uruba23: I try to rationalize on the reason why you want the very hard working Senator Remi Tinubu out of office but I don't see any reason other than egomaniac tendencies. How can you judge her contribution to society base on some Town hall meeting. So is she supposed to be pampered in the Senate, because she is a woman? What really has she contributed to her senatorial zone, and to the Senate? Well, apart from fighting with Dino Melaye? On her website, she says : "To date, she has sponsored three bills: to provide Social Security for Elderly Citizens; seek the Amendment of the Labour Act, to enhance employment opportunities for women, and; a Bill to provide Special Economic Assistance to Lagos State in view of its status as a former capital city and the commercial capital of Nigeria." My question now is this - how many of those bills were passed into law at the end of the day? None. |

This is just propaganda by the Nigerian marketers skyrocketing the cost of acquisition of the cars for their own benefit. She's only trying to cut out middlemen Don't mind those bad belle people. Where were they, before Diana Chen started importing GAC brand of vehicles into Nigeria? Did any of them know anything about Chinese cars? It took a lot of time, money, resources, adverts and effort, for the lady to get the brand accepted in the Nigerian market, as many people used to look down on those cars. When she started, she signed up an exclusive West African franchise for those cars. This means that if the manufacturer decides to sell the same brand to any other agent, he would be sued heavily at home and abroad. Foreigners are very wary of breaking such contract agreements, because it could lead to a loss and a lawsuit that could cost them millions! Diana Chen took the sole risk to import, sell and fix those cars locally at her own cost, when nobody wanted to touch those cars with a bargepole. She almost went bankrupt initially, before now getting back on her feet, and making strides into the market. Now after she has suffered and sweated to make the brand acceptable locally, some money miss road wants to cash in on her sweat, by bringing in the same cars (or probably even inferior models of the vehicle...shey, you know as our people dey do!), and spoil the market for her business. Haba! Let those who are complaining, go and look for an unknown brand of car too (just like Chen did!), bring it into Nigeria and work hard to market it within our local market. There are several car manufacturers in the world. The same people are even complaining that she repatriates the money back to China, after selling the cars. Before, nko? Wouldn't she pay the manufacturer of the cars? Abi, they want her to chop the money down here in Naija, and refuse to pay the manufacturer? How would she get the next consignment to sell? |

How much was the cost of cement in 2008, and how much is that same bag of cement today? How much was a tin of paint in 2008, and how much is it today? What was the cost of renovating a 3-bedroom flat in 2008, and what is the cost of renovating the same flat, now? For those who took out commercial loans or mortgages to build or buy their flats, how much were interest rates in 2008, and how much are interest rates now? Are all 3-bedroom flats in Gbagada being rented out at the same rate of 1.2 million, in all areas of Gbagada, from Atunrase estate, Medina estate, Sawmill to Ifako-Gbagada? Tell the truth and let the devil be a liar! Oga, you need to stop trying to defend the indefensible, please. The present LUC charges smack of extortion!! |

FabioPeter: You are too bitter to engage in rational debate. Anyway the rates have been reviewed and payment can be in installments. I wish you well. No, I am not bitter. I am simply being factual. You on the other hand, are just being clueless. You have not been able to answer one single question that I asked you, in my last post. You even claimed the state govt would provide light, water, security etc as a result of paying LUC, in your previous post. I had to remind you that paying LUC, does not absolve anybody from paying for electricity and water as these are additional expenses. Now, you are claiming rates have been reviewed. Even after the review, the LUC charges still remain high! The govt still wants to collect LUC charges on unoccupied houses and empty plots of land. How silly! |

FisifunKododada: The sky is blue...Olukunmis originate from Yorubas...you can debate from now till eternity...facts are facts. Please see this excerpt from one of the community associations of Ugbodu, which is located in the diaspora. At least, these people should know their historical origins and their language, not so? And this article was written by an Olukumi indigene, who bears an Igbo name, yet acknowledges that their origin and language is from a Yoruba town. Wonders shall never cease! UDU UK Ugbodu Development Union UK branch -| Registered Charity Information and Projects |
Ugbodu Town lies at a latitude of 6.3793200 and longitude of 6.4585900 and it has an elevation of 241 meters above sea level. It is a Yoruba speaking community based deep in the heart of Igbo speaking communities. The village is one of six villages which trace their origin to Owo town in Ondo State of Nigeria. Ugbodu consists of four villages namely, Igwisi, Idumu-Agba, Ogoza and Idumu Ogwa.
The people through interaction and centuries of living in their present location speak both Olukumi and Igbo languages. Olukumi is the Yoruba language spoken by Owo people in present day Ondo State in Nigeria. Collectively, the six Olukumi speaking towns make up what is known as Odiani clan.
Ugbodu is the place where the East of Nigeria, meets the West of Nigeria, as this town and its other Olukumi speaking communities of Delta State of Nigeria is the only place in the whole of Nigeria which speaks both the Igbo and Yoruba languages fluently as a people. It is also one of the most deprived communities in Nigeria today.
Despite this, the town boasts of many graduates in various fields. It has produced lawyers, doctors, engineers, agriculturists, scientists, and a national beauty pageant amongst others. It also boasts of a nursery school, two primary schools, one secondary school, a hospital, a post office, several churches etc.https://juanitaazubuike./ogbodu-town/ |

obailala: I urge you to use your God given brains; go back and check who is wailing. I am a Nigerian, you are a Nigerian, Aunty Oby is a Nigerian, Chibok girls are Nigeria and Dapchi girls are Nigerian. CHibok girls were abducted, Oby protested against the FG of the time under GEJ. Years later, the same Oby still protested against the current FG for the same CHibok girls. Now more girls are abducted from Dapchi and the only thing you can think of is why Oby isn't leading protests?... Are you so useless in yourself that you cannot go lead the protest if protesting is all you want? Must you wait for Oby to do everything for you?
You actually just called it partiality that Oby who protested against GEj and against Buhari for chibok girls isnt leading a protest for Dapchi. Cant you see how depraved your mind is?... All your bankrupt mind can in all these which affects the lives of people is a GEJ GEJ political game. Once again, I wish your sister or your mother or your daughter is abducted too one day. I would love to see how you will be so shallow-minded to turn it to GEJ politics. A lot of people are really sick in Nigeria but they have no one to tell them. Another tantrum! Were you baptised with the water of rants and hysteria? Tell us, o! All this epistle you churned out here, was solely to defend Aunty Oby? Na wa, o! How much she pay you, sef? It must be huge, for you to have launched this uncontrolled outburst of anger and frustration, simply to defend her. Chai! Don't forget to pay your tax sha, out of the huge cash she gave you. Now, you can rant from today till tomorrow, it will not stop us from questioning Aunt Oby's partiality or lack of objectivity, in the Dapchi girls case! Next! |

Ritchiee: I bet you but the Igbodefender guy is trying to bring in a link between Yoruba and Igbo which I doubt its truthfulness because of obvious reasons.. Don't mind him. His links and assertions are totally wrong, from beginning to end. His claims hold no water, and are based on a falsehood of the highest order, especially the part about Moremi being one of their SE-Igbo people. Abi, is it not the same Moremi Ajasoro historical story, that we were all taught in primary school in Lagos? Even the Olugbo of Ugbo kingdom in Ondo state has shed more light about Moremi, and the relationship she had with his people. In his own words, it is obvious that the Igbo invaders referred to in the Moremi Ajasoro story, were originally from Ugbo in present day Ondo state, and NOT aboriginals from Igbo land or Ala Igbo in the Southeast region. https://www.channelstv.com/wp-content/themes/channels2016/channels-logo.png
In a statement issued by the Olugbo-in-Council, the Olugbo Oba Obateru Akinruntan, said: “We, the Olugbo–in–Council, found such (Ooni’s remarks about Moremi) unguarded statements and historical fallacy disturbing, particularly when such emanated from a monarch who is expected to be a custodian of history, customs and traditions of Yorubaland. We hereby state categorically that we are Ugbos, the aboriginal settlers and owners of Ile-Ife.
“Our forefathers descended from heaven, that is why we are called ‘Ugbo Atorunwo’.
“We are not Ibos (Igbos), who are from the South-East, and who have their own clearly researched and defined ancestry. To set the record straight, Moremi remains a traitor. She was a slave captured by Ugbo warriors during one of their many raids on Ile-Ife. She later became the wife of Osangangan Obamakin, the son of Oranfe, who was the paramount ruler of over 13 aboriginal communities of ancient Ugbomokun, which later came to be called Ile- Ife”.
The statement further read: “Oduduwa came to Ugbomokun as a stranger, and was welcomed in Ilero, the aboriginal palace of Osangangan Obamakin, which is still in existence in present-day Iremo, in Ile Ife. During the dynastic struggles, Osangangan Obamakin was directed by the oracles (Ifa and Osanyin) to leave Ile Ife. Moremi betrayed her husband’s trust, when she exposed the secret of the Ugbo warriors’ gallantry.
“Popular history states that Oduduwa, the progenitor of the Ooni, migrated ..... In another account by the Oba of Benin, recently, Oduduwa came from Benin. We ask that the Ooni should confirm his ancestral roots. It is also of importance to note that in the ancient custom of Yoruba, an incumbent king must have no living father. Also, no man from a female lineage of a ruling house is qualified to sit on the throne”. https://www.channelstv.com/2016/12/04/royal-controversy-ooni-ife-olugbo-ugbo-supremacy-battle/ |

Klinee: Olukumi for me is more of Igala than Yoruba, their language sound more deviant Igala language. Though their language is very difficult for an average Igala man to understand and they very closer to Igala than Yoruba. But in Olukumi town like Ugbodu and Okunzu they are bilingual speaking olukumi language and Igbo language fluently. The 'Olukumi' as a word, I believe is an Igala word which means 'my friend' Secondly there is no sign of Yoruba culture in their land, their names is purely Igbo, their culture is purely Igbo. I remember visited the town Ugbodu taken a bike from Issele uku, en route Onisha uku down to Ugbodu. I recall visiting the Paramount ruler of Ugbodu town the Odogwu of Ugbodu. In 'Olukumi' father is refer as Bami, mother is refer to as Yami. If I say 'mu pure water wa' means 'bring pure water come' 'Bu iji rumi' cut firewood for me 'maa ko iji ru' you people should park firewood Guy, what are you saying? The traditional ruler of Ugbodu, is not the Odogwu. It is the Oloza. And his name is Obi Ayo Ochei Isinyemeze. Secondly, Father which you said is 'Bami' in Olukumi language, also has the same meaning and intonation in standard Yoruba language, if I remember my Yoruba language lessons, correctly. Even the phrase which you quoted here - 'bring pure water come', in Olukumi language/dialect means exactly the same thing in Yoruba - ''mu pure water wa'. Anyway, let me allow the native Yoruba speakers to give their opinion concerning this issue. cc: Konquest, Deomelllo, Oodualover, 9jakool |

obailala: Must you wait for aunty Oby to do everything for you?... Is she the only Nigerian out there?... Are your own legs broken to go lead the protests?... Are you not also a Nigerian like Oby?... Or could it be you are a vampire who's got no value for human life?... What kind of humans do we even breed in Nigeria?
A lot of morally depraved humans only see things from the shallow perspective of politics and nonsense sentiments. How I wish one of your sisters or daughters were among those kidnapped in Chibok or Dapchi; would truly have been interesting seeing how you would also insult Oby by viewing her campaigns only from the myopic perspective of GEJ vs Pmb politics. Look at who is talking! What have you Obailala the accuser, done to advocate for the return of the Dapchi students or Chibok girls? Yet, you are here throwing tantrums online, wailing and ranting, simply because we asked why Aunt Oby is being partial. Rubbbish! We will not stop asking her questions. If you like, kill yahself! |
