A Nigerian lady who is a hair dealer has taken to Instagram to show off her new mansion just 2 weeks after giving birth to a new baby.

The excited lady shared a video of the new mansion and also hinted her followers on how she started her business on a low key. According to her she went into business with jut N5,000 and just under 5 years, it has grown into a multi-million naira venture.

The lady even mentioned that she started the business as a student where she was always spotted from locations to locations trying to convince people to buy her merchandise.

Read her post below.

”I started my business with just 5,000 naira and in less than 5 years I have achieved so much from it.

The struggle was real from selling from my hostel , persuading peeps to buy from me , opening my page on Instagram and started selling there , delivering by myself, stocking goods at home

Of all things, acquiring this 5 bedroom mansion and a detached b/q in a perfect location in the city of Lagos makes me truly understand that consistent drop of water can make an ocean .

The grass can only get greener for hard worker  I always knew my hard work will pay real big coz whenever I see people do great things whether on Instagram or on the outside I always make their success my prayer point
Broken crayons still colour

My 2018 has just started and I haven’t even achieved anything , am coming for more , I believe many young ladies will achieve a lot this 2018 Because hard work pays

Anyone who believes these tales by moonlight, from a girl who obviously thinks her audience are kids who would swallow any junk she prattles online, merely has himself to blame. sad

By the way, what exactly was she selling? shocked I hear she is a hair dealer? Hair, kwa? What that the only thing she sold for 5 years, or was there something more? What was the quantity of goods she sold within those 5 years? What was her profit margin per item? How much went into her running expenses, operational charges, and even losses? What supply chain model did she use to distribute her goods? huh

Where did she get money to fund her business and expand it? undecided How much was the mansion she acquired? What kind of target savings model or mortgage plan did she use to get that house? Or did she pay cash outright for it? Until I get answers to these questions, I will not join anybody to shout 'hallelujah' to her so-called testimony! angry

BREAKING NEWS | N4.1bn Nigeria Railway investment in crisis | By Babalola Yusuf

Barely two years after the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) acquired two set of Diesel Multiple Units (DMU’s) for transportation of passengers in and around the country, have continued to develop mechanical fault unabated. undecided

The DMU’s as popularly called was inaugurated in 2014 by the former Vice-President, Alhaji Mohammed Sambo in Lagos.

It was however revealed that each set of the DMU is made up of three cars and one motor car at each end.

But, since the inauguration of the over N4.1bn modern train, it had continuously developed fault virtually every month thereby leaving its passengers stranded.

The constant breakdown of the machine was due to poor maintenance on the side of the corporation.

Eventhough, the recently sacked Managing Director of NRC, Seyi Sijuade argued that strategic initiatives are being adopted by the corporation to ensure sustainability of its current investment especially in the modern rail infrastructure.

While acknowledging that no substantial arrangements had been made in the past to sustain investments after cutting the red tape, he said part of the arrangement for the sustainability of its investment in the DMU, is the retention of technical skills needed to maintain the newly acquired trains.

According to him, “We have a two-year maintenance deal with the manufacturers of these DMUs and the six coaches, that is, the China Southern Railways, CSR.

We have a two-year deal with them for maintenance of these coaches and the DMUs. What makes this deal unique is that it is a residential deal. This means that the company has posted six technicians to NRC to live here with us.

But, commuters have doubt the maintenance deal saying the machine developed faults, virtually every month.

For instance, the vehicle was rarely maintained by the management of the NRC and had let to constant breakdown of the engine.

On Monday, the Iddo (Lagos Island) bound DMU brokedown about four places before it could got to its final destination.

The machine which was supposed to get to its destination within 45 minutes got there about one and half our late.

These however disrupted other trains service that was supposed to depart to Apapa after the departure of the DMU to Lagos Island.

The Apapa MTT train that was supposed to depart Ijoko (Ogun State) terminal at 6:30am, could not move until after an hour later, due to the mechanical fault developed by the DMU on its way to Lagos Island.

Workers who were supposed to resume early to their respective offices complained bitterly, saying they don’t know fate that await them in their respective work place.

Speaking to our correspondent, a concerned Railway commuter, Saheed Abubarkar berated the corporation for poor management.

He said there have never been a month that the DMU doesn’t develop fault.

“Nigeria lacks technical know how to maintain these machines and they should have invited technicians from the country they purchased them because these embarrassment was becoming too much.”

However, as commuters were still relishing the Monday disappointment, the DMU developed another fault on Tuesday evening as commuters were forced to join the densely populated MTT.

The commuters who were about 250 could not be ferried to their destinations as the machine developed fault mid-way to their journey. angry

According to Chukuemeka Uche, the machine developed fault immediately they left the Apapa terminus.

“The machine developed mechanical fault immediately we left the terminus but the driver managed it up to the NRC headquarters where we were asked to join the densely populated MTT.

The FG should investigate the purchase of the DMU as it is purely a scam.”

Uche stated that the DMU is full of mechanical fault, that the contract execution and purchase must not be swept under the carpet.

“I not electrical fault, it will b mechanical I think the purchase of the DMU should be probed to know whether it was the specification prescribed to the government that was purchased.

However, industry analysts had earlier feared during the inauguration of the DMUs’ that at the speed with which events are unfolding, the corporation may soon be overwhelmed, and relapse to inefficiency which characterised the railway, will become inevitable. sad

Their argument boils down to the fact that without a conscious effort to maintain the infrastructure, the investment would have amounted to nothing; as fleeting investment always meant that little room is left for sustainability. These fears are not unfounded. Over the years, investments in the rail sector have been bereft of any sustainability plans. sad

There are poor technical skills which results in poor maintenance of rolling stocks. These further lead to poor service delivery, leaving a situation that makes it obvious that although the corporation desires huge investments, they are not entirely prepared for the business of rail transportation. http://nigeriannewsdirect.com/n4-1bn-nigeria-railway-investment-in-crisis/

Afonja isn't a curse word my friend. It's the name of a warrior who had a disagreement with his Alaafin and rebelled against him. Too bad his friend, Alimi had other plans just like Brutus to Julius Ceaser, Just like Nzeogwu to Sardauna, just like Ojukwu to Ifeajuna etc. Betrayal didn't start today and won't end today. In fact, Bukola Saraki is an afonja, who knows if he'll become president tomorrow and i'm sure his ipob supporters would gladly vote and rally for him wink

They should continue calling me Afonja and keep on posting pictures of my tribal marks. I'm proud of them cheesy

I'll also continue calling them Osu and Urine lickers of the albino hunchback. They should enjoy it too cheesy
I actually think Afonja was deceived by Alimi. For all his prowess in battle, he seemed to lack the ability to discern fake friendship from the genuine article. It was really sad.... Alimi was the shrewd one, while Afonja paid for his naivete.

It just goes to show that a man must exercise a great deal of care, in choosing his friends!

Just as the airlines are private business too but am surprised at government building and maintaining airports. The truth remains that any state coming up with anti open grazing law should make lands easily accessible to the herdsmen. Facilities such as loan should be given to them to finance their ranching business just like farmers who are given loans, seedlings and fertilizer subsidy to grow their crops. Not until we relinquish hatred towards ourselves as a people Nigeria will remain in this sorry state.
States should give those herdsmen land, so they can unleash their murderous killing tendencies upon the surrounding villagers, and their communities? Na so... the same herdsmen who are well-known for their hostility towards their neighbours, and their destructive tendencies towards the crops of farmers.

I have always said it: the Nigerian Railway Corporation is a clueless organisation riddled with a backward, unprofitable, archaic mentality.

A company that cannot update its website regularly, and still flaunts outdated info online with pride, will definitely NOT be able to think outside the box and provide online tickets. sad Even at their different terminuses nationwide, passengers cannot make payment for tickets using a POS machine. All transactions are always still done in cash.

In this days of cheap GSM lines and telecoms equipment, the NRC still lacks functional customer care lines, as well as real-time info about its departure and arrival times, and the cost of its tickets, to various destinations. angry

The company should be probed and restructured, to provide efficient services.

That's what I can afford. The economy is not friendly. Hence, employers are looking for ways to reduce costs, of which labor cost is one of the areas they look at.

Harimsalim:
Well it depends on ur monetary status..,it is possible for both of you to be AS and give birth to healthy kids. Bt all those ish cost money......so go ahead if ur up for it
If you are talking about the law of independent assortment, it does NOT always work! sad A couple with the AS genotype may have kids, and none of those children may carry the SS combination, on the other hand the same couple may also have all their children turning out to be SS. It is always unpredictable!

Another alternative is IVF. After going through PGD, an embryo that does not have the SS trait is implanted into the woman. It is capital intensive, expensive and an emotionally draining procedure. Does an AS-AS couple have the time, money and patience to go down this route?

Pre-implementation Genetic Diagnosis in Nigeria: An Option for AS Genotype Couples : The Not-So-Good News

I’m a firm believer in saving up for anything you want to acquire in life, nothing is out of reach. However, this procedure is not cheap and may take many a while to afford. Before any kind of medical assistance there’s Consultation fee. To see the doctor, talk about your circumstances and medical options costs N20,000. You’ll find a list of the Bridge Clinic fees here.

Next, the PGD is paid for in Euros and cost about €9,600, (a little over 4 million naira). IVF itself cost some where a little over 900,000 naira, excluding medication. This brings the total cost to over 5 million naira. To be safe on a project, I always factor in 30% extra for unforeseen contingencies. This brings our total budget to roughly 6.5million naira.

After spending all this money, there are still risks you can’t mitigate. While women under 35 have higher chances of IVF success, an older woman’s success rate may be affected by fewer and lower quality eggs. IVF success rate for women less than 35 is 40%. This is low, but I will assume that some women taking the IVF route are doing so because of pre-existing fertility issues. (You, reading this probably do not. You are only here because of your genotype. I want to assume that your eggs, his sperm and your uterus are all fine so your chances might be higher. I’m not a doctor, it’s just probability and some common sense.)

Next, the results of the diagnosis may come in and you have no sickle-cell-free embryo. It’s not common but it is a possibility. At this point, the money is gone and there’s no baby.

Finally, PGD and IVF does not prevent complications that may arise during pregnancy or other unfortunate circumstances. So again, the money is gone and there may be no baby. https://redconfidential.com/2017/11/18/pre-implementation-genetic-diagnosis-an-option-for-as-genotype-couples-in-nigeria/

If the results show that the baby carries the SS gene, then you may be advised to terminate the pregnancy. How many abortions will you commit, before you finally get a baby that is free of the SS genotype, or one that simply has an AS genotype? undecided
